4 or 5 fingers are needed
Anything thats level 34+ is pretty much not designed with thumbs in mind, made especially clear with what’s up pop. Just keep that in mind, though amara is an easier 34 that’s pretty doable.
Also for level 32+, you can do a finger swap where you can replace the finger on a hold with another in the middle. There are songs where cross slides make you end up on the wrong side, and that is how you fix it.
The short ones in bug though you’ll just have to deal with those unfortunately. There are some well charted upper level songs like noushou sakuretsu girl and childrens record though

Whats up pop is the only one genuinely impossible to play with two fingers. Every other chart no matter how hard is still possible and HAS been fc'd by people with only two fingers, because theres only ever two inputs at a time

the fact that they are an arcaea player helps a lot surely,,, they can read the chart better then a new player ever could cause they're easier then arcaea's ones probably. the arcaea charts are pure chaos i don't even know how someone can properly read them 😭😭😭

As a little older project Sekai player, I have some tips to help you maybe? (I don't know how useful they'd actually be-)
1. If the song (Like Amara) seems it's over, tap on the screen (the area where you press the notes), if it still responds (if it lights up when you press it, I mean), the song isn't over
2. Try not to do one pulls (reference from your previous video), the chances to not get anything are much higher than just doing a 10 pull
3. You can turn off the music videos
4. you can also turn on like.. accuracy I believe? It tells you if you clicked late, fast and stuff
(There was more, I just forgot)

I remember being there for the Amara release and everyone thinking this would be the hardest chart...Then what's up? Pop! came out.
A bit of context- The "crack heads" work in an amusement park with kids that's why their mvs are so bright.
Also songs from like level 32/33+ are not fc-able with just two fingers, and definitely not with thumbs...
Anyways I'd say some good songs to try would be Tondemo Wonderz (Master), Showtime ruler (master) (SPECIFICALLY THE SEKAI VER), Hibana reloaded, Ghost Rule and Teratera (also specifically the sekai ver)
And of course we can't forget the intense voice of hatsune miku and the dissapearence of hatsune miku
anything that isnt whats up pop is 100% fcable with thumbs bc theres no 4 holds or anything itd just take time to learn the charts
My favorite charts are the ones where they go ham with references in the slides, like Dappo Rock, Remote Controller, Doctor Funk Beat, YY and Your Adventure Log Has Vanished.
If you liked "ONESELF" I think you will like "Next nest", the sliders are fun too :)

people usually recommend roki mas(?) to get used to flicks but thats kinda more beginner oriented so i'd personally say junky nighttown orchestra mas since it has some mildly uncomfortable flick patterns that are a pretty common in higher level master maps !! (i am an index player though so i don't know how clunky it'll be to play with thumbs) otherwise for level 31 mas maps that are easier to fc both bitter choco decoration and showtime ruler are pretty easy for their level as they're more pattern and speed oriented^^
I hope this doesn’t sound stupid, but seeing you use most of the vocaloid versions of the songs is pretty nice. I constantly feel like an outsider because I honestly prefer most if not all of the vocaloid versions of songs, even commissioned songs, so seeing someone else choose the vocaloid versions of the song makes me feel like I’m not alone in that department lol. (Tho it would be nice to see your opinions on the covers of the songs)

I saw your first video and pretty impressed by how well you did. I actually have doubts that you _only_ played Arcaea, since some of Arcaea's notes are very lenient, and you seem to have no trouble switching to ProSeka's notes.

Your reaction to what’s up pop is just like any ordinary thumb player on project sekai (pjsk), me included… It doesn’t help that I use a phone to play so its just impossible for my fingers to get used to the size let along try passing that darn beatmap 😔
Also i’ve seen both your first pjsk vid and this and i have got to say, you are damn good at this considering you just started the game!
More info about the game:
- some 4 star cards come with outfits for the 3D model of that character for the 3D mv
- there’s a ranked game mode on this where people compete purely with their skill at the game (without the card skills etc in effect) and the first 3 matches are to sort you into the right rank to play against players of similar level
- there’s a filter for you to sort the songs based on different things, level of difficulty included

If its annoying, you can lower or turn of the effect voices at the sides and now there's a "new?" Function,that you can turn on and off,that shows you for example if you have a good, it shows if you tipped too fast or too slow but idk were it is bc I play on en sekai :)
åmara master is like qualia ideaesthesia byd in my interpretation, considering of the arc on hold thing (the tap on the wobbly slider), & switching fingers for certain slides.
if you don't like the cut ins with characters speaking at the side, you can turn them off! i don't know exactly where the option is on jp, but plenty of guides exist to help non japanese players navigate the menus!

If your goal is to AP a song, here’s something that’ll help. CREDIT CARD.
There are 4(ish) abilities that a character will have. Score increase, perfect score increase, health regain and score increase, and perfect lock teams. Birthday cards are probably always gonna be health regain on crack. Now the perfect lock teams(as the name suggest) locks your hits at perfect, even if it’s a bad. Misses can’t be perfect locked. Yes, this game has a P2W way of beating it.
But if you are going to improve your raw skills, I advise against using it. To me honestly, using this is basically cheating and lying to yourself on how good you are at rhythm games. I would rather use life recovery instead, so you can play longer even after a lot of misses.

I disagree. pl cards only help for at most a few seconds in specified part of the songs. as a whole, they don’t help much for an entire song

As someone who has passed what’s up pop mas on index, I can tell you, it’s absolute garbage to play. Basically Sega decided to pretty much import a 14/14+ chunitm chart over the project sekai lol. At least that’s what it feels like.
