They can be a small radius around where the contact point is, but it takes some time to learn the margin of error. Like, if you see a squiggly arc, you can often hold your finger still at the middle of the squiggle. There's always one at the beginning of arcs to help time when to tap, but there'll often be one when the arcs start to move up/down (tho not when it moves left/right). Plus, there's sometimes a line when the arc changes pattern in some way. And if there's a buncha vertical lines in quick succession under the arc, be more careful with the arc? PTT 11.92 player here! Just wanted to give you a few tips too in case you're planning to play the game for longer : 1) Offset, it is important to avoid those little awkward moments where you tap it at the right time but still get a FAR note. Changing the offset will do the trick but it will take a while to look for the best one. 2) Don't play with speed too high (5 and above). Speed may help you get through some notes, but some charts will be even harder to play especially the Futures and Beyonds difficulties. 3) Don't buy the hardest song packs, even if you play them in Past or Present difficulties, they're not the beginner friendly at all. 4) If you want to unlock more music from the free pack, you'd have to play in the World mode and to climb quickly, then it is recommended to use Regular Tairitsu over Regular Hikari (you can check the fanwiki to know which character is better to use when grinding in that mode) 5) Once you get very familiar with the charts, don't be afraid to push your limits but only a bit, overdoing it will only mess your perception of the notes. Extra : If you're someone who is a collectionist of partners, then make sure to have their event songs and start grinding as soon as possible. With that being said, good luck and have fun!
Welcome to Arcaea! I may not be as advanced as the other players in the comment section like Reunomi (I have 11.43 ptt), but there are helpful Arcaea introduction vids on YT where you get to learn more about the features Arcaea has to offer, like different partners, their stats, and game settings (VERY important to tinker with). I recommend watching Tips & Techniques to Get Better at Arcaea by Pokemetry to explain the gameplay and technical stuff and the funny tokaku overview video about Arcaea. Hope you have fun!
One last thing, it's important to pace yourself to enjoy new rhythm games. For example, I was getting used to Project Sekai, and it was a rough start as I rushed myself to beat the Expert charts of songs and not the Hard charts (a common issue stemming from overconfidence). Make sure you're learning the feel for the game while not feeling super overwhelmed by adjusting your sense of difficulty in the game and/or changing the different options in the settings. It's ok to enjoy the game however you like, after all. :)
12.05★ PTT here! A tip, for you to better practice the mechanics of the game, when you reach PTT 4 you can already play Present songs without many problems. As for Future, I recommend you play them more often when you have more than 6.5 ptt. And don't forget to play World Mode daily for new songs and play with note speed at least 3.0x. Hope this helps!
Arcaea is really unique with its 3d mechanics and the experience is really different as u went up with high level plays, which is unlike any other vsrg game. Kinda interesting to actually see what beginner to good proseka (or generally 2d scroll rhythm game) player feels when playing arcaea for the first time, can relate with the arc most of the time plus weird way of reading 3d lane xD. Really reminds me of when i first started arcaea (started using thumb playstyle until now) After years of arcaea i decided to try out proseka (with thumb), and the experience is quite smooth, can actually FC diff below master 28 with thumb after a day or two prolly bcs i have some experience with bandori and love love sif though im not good at them back then. But this might be different for each person as i played various pc rhythm game for years too, adapting might not be hard for other rhythm game. Though for mobile rhythm game, arcaea is mostly the game that i always play than other rhythm game To anyone from proseka who wanted to try arcaea for the first time, i suggest using speed above 3.0 and use your tapping sound for offset if using speaker. Try out prs 4-6 and eventually proceed with ftr 7-8 as u trying to adapt with the reading. Playing this game might be weird at first but eventually u will get used to it for a few days. I really recommend this game for rhythm game enthusiasts as it has really good song, the game mechanics is good and it has nice arts and story (tbh i dont really know the story lol). The only bruh part in this game is your wallet might be empty as 90% of the song is behind paywall, unless ur super rich i would suggest to slowly buy some packs that are easy to play or wait for anniversary discount
I feel you cause i be playing tempestissmo at max note speed but when playing pjsk for the first time i genuinely started tweakin about the flick notes 🙏😭
As an Arcaea player I find it funny the first two charts you chose were my go-to warm up charts and the third you just roasted my fourth favourite Arcaea song 🤣
Me who play hatsune miku in console, arcade, and mobile : "The rythmn so good oh what this called tempestisimo" *tries to play it* "Damn what a nightmare sound like the dissapeare of hatsune miku"
I have 11 potential, here are my best tips for the game. Make sure you can use both your index finger and thumb at least for both your left and right hand if you want to start doing harder levels. Have your songs sorted by all and the clear you have. Focus on trying to full recall as many songs as possible The best pack to start out with for value is world extend, also there is a video on RUclips I’m too lazy to get the link but type up Arcaea song pack guide. Start out with normal note speed, when you get to 8 potential make it 2x, 9-9+ potential, make it 3x, and then when you get to to 10-10+ potential make it 4x. There is usually a sale for the games anniversary where all stuff is a lot cheaper in March I think. I recommend if you get into the game wait til then because all the memory archive songs which normally are 100 memories are reduced to 50 (two songs for a dollar instead of one). All the packs have reduced prices too. There is also a beyond difficult unlocked at 9 potential I think where there is harder charts then future for existing songs. They normally introduce new ‘gimmicks’ with arcs such as arcs changing colour in the same arc so you have to swap fingers while still holding onto the same arc. Hope this helps and isn’t too confusing.
ptt 11.9, 6.5 speed here. glad you had fun with the game! it looks like you might benefit from upping the note speed further, increasing the chart offset (in audio settings), and starting with present chart difficulties the note speed in this game is deceptively slow at the lower settings. picking up sekai after 2 yrs of arcaea, i found that arcaea’s max of 6.5 is most comfortably translated to an 11.X in sekai (for me at least). this goes along with the chart offset. esp since ur not playing with note sounds, the audio/note desync plays a lot larger of a role. it looks as if you need to increase chart offset since the note timings happen sooner than the actual music / instruments. increasing note speed a bit would also help benefit figuring out the offset that works for you id suggest starting with present difficulties as well. you have the mechanics and the coordination down to be able to play the game, but now its translating those skills to this game’s charting. I say present because Past diffs are too mechanically easy for you to learn anything u dont already know, and the difficulty with higher diffs, or with moving from a lower diff to a higher diff, is rooted in the mechanics of this game’s charts and charting styles. at least, thats the first and most apparent detail. also, one thing i didnt realize: the power of touch-device rhythm gaming is that we learn the game relative to where our fingers are placed on the screen. however, as i came to learn, sekai’s judgement line is physically between both of Arcaea’s standard judgment lines. what this means is that moving from arcaea to sekai i was hitting everything late (as my fingers always hit the notes after they passed the line). especially with arcaea’s two judgement lines, being able to relearn where to place your fingers and when is something u pick up subconsciously.
@@Zkr7 haha! yea i was around 4.6 for a while, i really liked how StaLight’s gameplay footage looked at that note speed. then i realized “hey it looks really cool at max speed i should do that” and worked my way up to it over a year straight of arcaea and other rhythm games obv its absolutely not required. like im not about to sit here and tell anyone to do max speed specifically nah fuck that. low note speeds are just usually more fucky than “higher” note speeds is all
0:48: They are just waifus if you don't plan on getting the packs or make an account. In the main story, Hikari and Tairitsu are the only characters you need to care about.
11.89 PTT here. I feel like i’m a little late but i have a tip i didn’t see here: try tapping the notes when they are in front of the line, not on it. This way you can avoid getting lates. And welcome to Arcaea
Honestly I feel like playing arcaea greatly increased my skills on proseka and chunithm (arcade rhythm game). I now AP expert really easily now, previously I could only do 22 max but now I've gone AP-1 for even 27's, much more often, and FC-2 on 30's and easy 31's

Hello! Arcaea player here with 10.16 PTT! Welcome to arcaea, i’ll give you some tips! If you plan to buy packs as you go deeper into the game, id reccomend ephermal page pack, it was my first ever packs and its easy to play! (Dont mind felis) do not buy the main story packs untill you get good skills in this game, trust me you’ll regret it🥲 For world mode spend 6x stamina because you can get free songs easier, of course you cant multi task (that is if you have lots of fragments, song currency in arcaea like the cards in pjsekai) you can buy stamina but best not to If you dont wanna lose PTT (the thing near your partner / character) turn off wifi, can still be played that way, although quite a useless tip its useful if u keep losing ptt…haha Start off with ez difficulty first (if not, do prs or medium difficulty) to build your arcaea skill as time goes on, make sure to play daily! Trust me, few mins a day can really make a change! Theres also this difficulty called BYD (beyond or master for short) unlock it if ONLY your skill is decent enough to survive or clear the byd difficulty (only on certain songs, not all of them) If your struggling to clear a song watch gameplays about that song since it can help you by knowing how the hard parts are being played! Helps out alot, trust me! Since your songs are “all songs” click the box on the top of ur screen that says “all songs” and click “free to play songs” pack, you can find ALOTT THERE Your struggling alot on arcs and sky notes, sky notes work like normal notes just click them at the right time on the line, if theres a line between the sky and normal note click on them at the same time. For arcs just follow their pattern whether up or down! Thats all, i’ll add more if i think of any, hope you’ll love arcaea! Hope you’ll enjoy questioning half of the arcaea charts :)
10.46PTT here, yeah i'm kinda a newbie but it doesn't really matter. i have some little tips: 1) play with a note speed between 4.3 and 5.7 because they're good and makes the gameplay more enjoyable and clear. 2) use Tairitsu as your main partner, she has better stats than Hikari and you can upgrade her stats by playing charts. 3) start with Past charts for some days or a week, then start playing the Present ones, and when you can EX or EX+ them just begin with the Future charts. 4) you can unlock A LOT of free charts in the world mode, so i suggest you to play the "packs?" with the charts. (with Tairitsu as partner) so yeah here are the tips, i hope i've teach you something. welcome to Arcaea!
I reached 11.17 ptt in a week and a half lmfao I came from project sekai also. I immediately started playing FTRs, to me it’s easier than the actual easier difficulties bc the tempo is too slow for me .-. ESP since I FC machine gun expert on proj sekai, arcaea is kinda easy if you get the hang of the arcs
I remember when i was a noob at arcaea it was really very hard for me and then i be like "i hate this game". I used to play Arcaea a little, but now the only rhythm game i play is BanG Dream. I tried to play Arcaea again a few weeks back, and my muscle memory is utterly fucked in that game. Too much time playing BanDori did that to me, i think. Also, the game is REALLY P2W.
10.70 ptt here! I tell you, you should start with past mode first and work your way up. FTR charts take a long time to learn and understand and you need a lot of prior experience to even do...arcs. I hate slams...ugh.
i played bandori before arcaea then i got used to arcaea playstyle then i stopped cuz the packs are paid so i got bored as a f2p, then i moved from bandori to proseka, still got sm skill issues there (lemme fc dftm ex pls oml like stop lagging 😭) and rn i just move back and forth from sekai and arcaea and somehow my accuracy stayed consistent on both the games cuz usually after playing one game more often than the other my accuracy turns shet 💀
I just tried this game rn because on my device, project sekai new update is unplayable because of the bugs, what i can say is: wtf bro why cant they just keep the same speed in the notes instead of changing it everytime? Also for some reason it looks like there is a delay in the notes when i click them
the "changing speed" effect is _very_ common in other rhythm games? most charts don't even use it anyway so i don't really know what you're talking about 😭😭

oh look a fellow 5.5× player
PTT 11.92 player here! Just wanted to give you a few tips too in case you're planning to play the game for longer :
1) Offset, it is important to avoid those little awkward moments where you tap it at the right time but still get a FAR note.
4) If you want to unlock more music from the free pack, you'd have to play in the World mode and to climb quickly, then it is recommended to use Regular Tairitsu over Regular Hikari (you can check the fanwiki to know which character is better to use when grinding in that mode)
5) Once you get very familiar with the charts, don't be afraid to push your limits but only a bit, overdoing it will only mess your perception of the notes.
Extra : If you're someone who is a collectionist of partners, then make sure to have their event songs and start grinding as soon as possible.
With that being said, good luck and have fun!
Im just gonna be honest i like any type of rhythm game, im literally a muse dash, arcaea, project sekai, and a rotaeno player😁
As a project sekai player, I would miss all the sky notes 😭
Arcaea is really unique with its 3d mechanics and the experience is really different as u went up with high level plays, which is unlike any other vsrg game. Kinda interesting to actually see what beginner to good proseka (or generally 2d scroll rhythm game) player feels when playing arcaea for the first time, can relate with the arc most of the time plus weird way of reading 3d lane xD. Really reminds me of when i first started arcaea (started using thumb playstyle until now)
After years of arcaea i decided to try out proseka (with thumb), and the experience is quite smooth, can actually FC diff below master 28 with thumb after a day or two prolly bcs i have some experience with bandori and love love sif though im not good at them back then. But this might be different for each person as i played various pc rhythm game for years too, adapting might not be hard for other rhythm game. Though for mobile rhythm game, arcaea is mostly the game that i always play than other rhythm game
To anyone from proseka who wanted to try arcaea for the first time, i suggest using speed above 3.0 and use your tapping sound for offset if using speaker.
The Dark Souls of Rhythm games.
Damn my starting song was ftr 7 inkar-usi too... Brings me nostalgia to when I just started the game
Me who play hatsune miku in console, arcade, and mobile :
"The rythmn so good oh what this called tempestisimo"
*tries to play it*
"Damn what a nightmare sound like the dissapeare of hatsune miku"
I play project diva and just started arcea. It's hard af
I have 11 potential, here are my best tips for the game.
Make sure you can use both your index finger and thumb at least for both your left and right hand if you want to start doing harder levels.
Have your songs sorted by all and the clear you have. Focus on trying to full recall as many songs as possible
The best pack to start out with for value is world extend, also there is a video on RUclips I’m too lazy to get the link but type up Arcaea song pack guide.
I’ve spent 200+ dollars on this game I don’t regret anything
I love how everyone’s either almost first or first song was Sakura Fubuki
My first song was Fairytale.
@@lunchannelhiv709 almost first then :) Fairytale sounds really good
@@_xxmidnight5351 Yup, I started from the bottom without creating an account and I passed some present difficulty songs
ISTG ARECEA IS SO SCARY
Me as an arcaea player switch to project sekai and those flick notes f'ed me so bad lol
ptt 11.9, 6.5 speed here. glad you had fun with the game!
it looks like you might benefit from upping the note speed further, increasing the chart offset (in audio settings), and starting with present chart difficulties
the note speed in this game is deceptively slow at the lower settings. picking up sekai after 2 yrs of arcaea, i found that arcaea’s max of 6.5 is most comfortably translated to an 11.X in sekai (for me at least).
this goes along with the chart offset.
esp since ur not playing with note sounds, the audio/note desync plays a lot larger of a role. it looks as if you need to increase chart offset since the note timings happen sooner than the actual music / instruments. increasing note speed a bit would also help benefit figuring out the offset that works for you
id suggest starting with present difficulties as well. you have the mechanics and the coordination down to be able to play the game, but now its translating those skills to this game’s charting.
6.5? 😅😅 You are so speed
@@Zkr7 haha! yea i was around 4.6 for a while, i really liked how StaLight’s gameplay footage looked at that note speed. then i realized “hey it looks really cool at max speed i should do that” and worked my way up to it over a year straight of arcaea and other rhythm games
obv its absolutely not required. like im not about to sit here and tell anyone to do max speed specifically nah fuck that. low note speeds are just usually more fucky than “higher” note speeds is all
Remember you have to tap the area behind the judgement line for the notes to register.
It‘s really fun once you get the hang of it
nope, above works just fine
@@eemeli7093 Not for me lol. Maybe that‘s cuz I‘m using a phone?
@@cwl6073 maybe your tapping too far above? It alaways worked for me on phone aswell as on tablet
0:48: They are just waifus if you don't plan on getting the packs or make an account. In the main story, Hikari and Tairitsu are the only characters you need to care about.
i want pj sekai and arcaea to do an collab and for pj sekai to make an limited banner including tairitsu and hikari😃
I remember back when I just started playing arcaea
11.89 PTT here. I feel like i’m a little late but i have a tip i didn’t see here: try tapping the notes when they are in front of the line, not on it. This way you can avoid getting lates.
And welcome to Arcaea
The real challenge begins when you buy the packs and memory achive
Watching remind me of when I start playing Arcaea(I’m 12.06 PTT) also just practice it along with ProSekai so it won’t melt your sanity
Honestly I feel like playing arcaea greatly increased my skills on proseka and chunithm (arcade rhythm game). I now AP expert really easily now, previously I could only do 22 max but now I've gone AP-1 for even 27's, much more often, and FC-2 on 30's and easy 31's
As an arcaea player this is very funny. Don't start with the hard levels tho! Looks like you should probably start at a four something. Good luck 🤞
Saw this a year after it was released and watching you jump from Past to Future immediately made me wince man
I’m still weaning off of Present mode lmao. Hope Arcaea treats you well!
@potentiallypeanut5576 I genuinely thought it would be the same lol 💔
@@danonimalsnah man I get that lol
I started on Chunithim originally, having only watched Sekai passively. Imagine my chagrin playing Arcaea lmao. I do recommend going slower, and if you want that extra challenge without eating shit immediately, go to Present Mode. It’s a nice inbetween, most of the time haha
Totally forgot how i felt first playing arcaea. Went into presents first then futures. Got potential 9.00 yesterday and trying for beyonds now. Or atleast, two days ago its just past midnight
Present 5 to 6 player here!
As an advanced player of arcaea:
just don’t miss da hit notes
Edit: PTT 4.8 to 4.9 player here!
my first arcaea track was sayonara hatsukoi ftr i never did any of the easy stuff since it was super easy to understand
Piano tiles player here, started llsif, then bandori, my transition is few weeks until i get better at bandori, next is prosekai, prosekai went too easy for me that i stated at 27 master as soon as i unlock them, lastly tried arcaea and i thought i would breeze it just like the rest
But dam, arcaea got hands.
As a 11.37 ptt player, its so funny watching you fail 😋😋😋
but I recommend you buying the story packs first then side packs (according to my experience)
Also farm world to get more yummy songs for you to practice!
Bro I don’t have an email :(
As quite a good arcaea player, playing using THUMBS,it is indeed very...strategic placing of fingers when I play future ones
I can feel the struggle since im also a pjsk player. I’ve been playing Arcaea for a while and is still not use to the game, like wth.. my eyes and reaction isnt good enough or this. 😭😭😭
ptt 10.16 i love this game
Welp, as a Arcaea player and also a PJsekai player. For me personally, I can say that PJsekai is harder than Arcaea only because of the flick notes, besides of that Arcaea is harder then PJsekai since the charts are difficult asf.
11.33 ppt here !! this vid reminds me of me trolling my classmates by letting them try ftr 9s LOL
okay but the intro song in 2x speed. that's a different song if you ask me.
Hello! Arcaea player here with 10.16 PTT! Welcome to arcaea, i’ll give you some tips!
If you plan to buy packs as you go deeper into the game, id reccomend ephermal page pack, it was my first ever packs and its easy to play! (Dont mind felis) do not buy the main story packs untill you get good skills in this game, trust me you’ll regret it🥲
For world mode spend 6x stamina because you can get free songs easier, of course you cant multi task (that is if you have lots of fragments, song currency in arcaea like the cards in pjsekai) you can buy stamina but best not to
If you dont wanna lose PTT (the thing near your partner / character) turn off wifi, can still be played that way, although quite a useless tip its useful if u keep losing ptt…haha
Start off with ez difficulty first (if not, do prs or medium difficulty) to build your arcaea skill as time goes on, make sure to play daily! Trust me, few mins a day can really make a change!
Theres also this difficulty called BYD (beyond or master for short) unlock it if ONLY your skill is decent enough to survive or clear the byd difficulty (only on certain songs, not all of them)
If your struggling to clear a song watch gameplays about that song since it can help you by knowing how the hard parts are being played! Helps out alot, trust me!
Since your songs are “all songs” click the box on the top of ur screen that says “all songs” and click “free to play songs” pack, you can find ALOTT THERE
Your struggling alot on arcs and sky notes, sky notes work like normal notes just click them at the right time on the line, if theres a line between the sky and normal note click on them at the same time. For arcs just follow their pattern whether up or down!
Thats all, i’ll add more if i think of any, hope you’ll love arcaea! Hope you’ll enjoy questioning half of the arcaea charts :)
Now this is content making for a rhythm game
you should try sayonara hatsukoi apparently it use megurine luka's voice
arcaea needs more vocaloid songs fr
@@TinTool no it doesn't

10.46PTT here, yeah i'm kinda a newbie but it doesn't really matter.
i have some little tips:
1) play with a note speed between 4.3 and 5.7 because they're good and makes the gameplay more enjoyable and clear.
(with Tairitsu as partner)
so yeah here are the tips, i hope i've teach you something. welcome to Arcaea!
we have the same exact ptt! ( ̄▽ ̄)🎉
Now here's where it gets real: THERE ARE TWO MORE DIFFICULTIES YOU HAVEN'T EVEN UNLOCKED
only 1 etr wasnt out yet
as an arcaea player when i tried pjsk it was mad easy
I reached 11.17 ptt in a week and a half lmfao I came from project sekai also. I immediately started playing FTRs, to me it’s easier than the actual easier difficulties bc the tempo is too slow for me .-. ESP since I FC machine gun expert on proj sekai, arcaea is kinda easy if you get the hang of the arcs
play testify byd/j
Jokes aside, you (usually) use your left hand for blue arcs and your right hand for the pink arcs if you didn't know.
please more arcaea!!! :D
I remember when i was a noob at arcaea it was really very hard for me and then i be like "i hate this game". I havent played it for months then one day i decided to play arcaea and i actually got better as i progress more:) ok i cant say im a pro since im still struggling with arcaea but yeh just saying that uhhhh welll if you play arcaea for some time you will get used to it
Also btw you should try playing like at 4.0 to 5.5 speed idk
They should look at noisz sl and Md too
I used to play Arcaea a little, but now the only rhythm game i play is BanG Dream.
Wtf u improved fast
@@xasperation for real bro
Skill issue, improve, this game is nuts once you get the hang of it, for the love of god also ADJUST YOUR OFFSET
Now play tempestissimo or testify
Its actually easier to play at 6.5 speed than slow
Something bad abt the game: YOU HAVE TO BUY ALMOST ALL OF THE PACKS- I've already wasted my money for it but it was worth it
just downloaded it today, i don’t like it but i wanna get good out of spite 😭
does sekai have hand crossovers even slightly similar to arcaea's?
Nope even the hardest pjsekai chart dont even require you to go all the way to the opposite of the screen
i played bandori before arcaea then i got used to arcaea playstyle then i stopped cuz the packs are paid so i got bored as a f2p, then i moved from bandori to proseka, still got sm skill issues there (lemme fc dftm ex pls oml like stop lagging 😭) and rn i just move back and forth from sekai and arcaea
and somehow my accuracy stayed consistent on both the games
cuz usually after playing one game more often than the other my accuracy turns shet 💀
It's so painful for me watching you struggling bro😢😢😢
Wait till u try 4.5/5.0/5.5/6.0/6.5 speed in arcaea also 9 and above future difficulty and, also the beyond difficulties
Lmao, that's why u should check advanced tutorial before trying a ftr chart xD

I just tried this game rn because on my device, project sekai new update is unplayable because of the bugs, what i can say is: wtf bro why cant they just keep the same speed in the notes instead of changing it everytime? Also for some reason it looks like there is a delay in the notes when i click them
the "changing speed" effect is _very_ common in other rhythm games? most charts don't even use it anyway so i don't really know what you're talking about 😭😭
