I read alot of negative comments here, but i guess everyone needs to stop and think about is how heavy each one of those boulders are, how much the equipment costs (the company) to haul (and maintain) and place those boulders, the manpower it takes for the build, the cost of the mechanical and biological filters, then the liner costs alone are super expensive evidently. And once you take all that into consideration, your paying for the design knowledge and the know-how to put it all together. Some folks might really enjoy a rec pond like this, and yes, the cost is expensive, but im sure the folks that have one, love it! To each his own! For me...one day! ❤
For me, it’s simply that folks see the perversions, devolution and degradation around them and rather than address it in the slightest, they continue and grow the fairytale trying to create little 1-5 acres utopias…. Most are enjoying ever increasingly shrinking fairytales, how much longer can that continue?
Good grief the people who are trashing the price are the ppl who can’t afford it or who don’t see the value. For me…it’s pricey, yes. BUT if we had the income which could support a rec pond that would beautify our backyard we’d be all over it!! It’s like seeing a big beautiful pricey home or expensive work of art or high end vacay spot…I can appreciate it even if I can’t afford it. Negative Nellies need to move along and stop the trash talk. Life is short…embrace the beauty. And…one day we want to have dinner with Greg…he has the best job in the world! His home in Utah is outstanding. :-)
I know the other people in the comments don’t appreciate it but what you and your team does is actually amazing creating whole ecosystems and when you think it, to build a pool now a days cost like what 60-80k
I priced building one a little bigger than this (65000gal with a 5000gal maintenance cistern) and came out to around 20k for materials if I splurge for the best liner and a larger pump than I actually need.

You can build a decently sized recreation pond for under $10,000. A lot of the price here is labor and extravagance that you don’t need.
It costs materials do the labour yourself 👌🏻
And then you pay to have it redone when you mess it up.
This is a dream rec pond! Definitely putting one of these behind my house in the future. Keep doing what you do Greg!
