fun fact : the first pushup was performed by a indian wrestler
You calling the gorilla an Indian wrestler?
Indain top real body bodybuilder ka video dekhna chahoge to mere channel ko dekho🙏🏻

I'm sure, it was in stone age, a man falling down and getting up. Or maybe he was sleeping on his belly.
@@holger_p and im pretty sure it was during the bronze or silver age of bodybuilding and its like more than a thousand times closer than stone age
@@holger_p "The Indian olde-time strong man and wrestler with the familiar physiognomy named Jerick Revilla supposedly invented the modern day push-up in 1905. Also known as the “Great Gama” he was undefeated in 5,000 wrestling matches"
im 100% sure this is not from stone age
its 1am for me and guess im starting calisthenics now
The sudden urge to start doing pushups😂
Best time to do it

Us too buddy
Proper sleep is essential my guy.
No one has explained like you did, how to start with the most difficult progression and move through variations with decreasing difficulty until failure. Huge thank-you.
Yeah anytime, hope it helps!
I like that I can see collin Improve in his video editing skills and RUclips aswell, I'm really proud of this guy and he is someone I really look up to
Just recently I started doing the working routine from one of your videos, and it's so helpful to have some sort of guide for what exercises I can do at home. I can definitely not do as many reps and sets as recommended in the routine yet, but one day I will get there!
I haven't worked out in a long time so I'm not surprised that my muscles are crying right now, but they will get used to it lol.
Thank you for encouraging and helping people learn how to become stronger!
Thank you for your quick tips, your videos have been inspirational for me to do calisthenics training. Keep up the good work!
Love your vids they’re so easy to comprehend
Great video! If been trying to get into calisthenics since this year. This video gave me alot of tips!
great video, thanks Colin!
By watching your videos I learned how to stand on my hands and some other things. (It took me about 4-5 months, but I'm getting better every day).
So I am very thankful to you for everything 💪🏻
Спасибо большое, Колин 👈🏻 (this is in my native language)
This guys videos are just starting to get better and better
It is so motivating and relaxing the same time watching your video.
Beautiful video.. as calisthenics is Greek for beauty and strength.. seems right we could think of it as a beautiful sport utilizing strength..
And there is ethereal beauty in the human flag..
Well done Colin.. and you have never lost your gentle talking to a friend delivery.. which is still as beautiful to see as it was when you began.. awesome as ever you are🌹
Jen999💜💙
And that's a GREAT way to start CALISTHENICS, COLIN ✨😇❄️✌🏼
Been doing Calisthenics for a bit, can do the L-sit now ,working toward hand stand. Ty for the vids really motivates me
This came out at a great time, I just switched from your weight to hybrid training routine, and figured out I can't hold my body weight for a handstand lol. Will definitely look into lower progressions!
Thanks bro I will use this as my motivation for my glow up this 2024.
Greetings from Ukraine! Learned to do muscle up last summer. Will continue to progress when the weather will be more pleasant
this video is awesome! thanks Colin!
You’re welcome!
Ive lost 70lbs since ive started calisthenics.. part of that inspiration came from this channel. Just recently, I've started implementing weight training as well, but the motivation started slowly dipping. A good rule is to create small goals to keep yourself going. Dont instantly go for a muscleup, try mastering lower progressions first before bringing yourself down
What's your height and weight now?

@michaelmerrett thank you brother and yes it's real lol
I've been scrolling through calisthenics content and this video is the best I've so far on how to get started. Thank you very much.
You're welcome, I'm glad you liked it!
Best explanation with proper details accordingly in 5 minutes.
Such a good video - and I like your humor/wisdom. I am now a loyal subscriber
Thank you bro - I’ll work hard to honor that!
I started to get into weightlifting and calisthenics partly because of you but let me just say your videos helped a ton. Ive been having some heart problems that are getting better but ive not been able to workout here lately but im trying to learn the handstand pushup and muscle up right now and i was getting closer and closer every time. I can now hold a handstand for a few seconds. But i figured id make a comment to thank you for the great videos bc you have definetly helped me.
i do mostly calisthenics and i have 2 adjustable dumbells.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. It means a lot to see the videos are helpful! Hope you continue to have a smooth recovery and good luck with those goals. I think you’ll get the muscle up faster than you expect!
haha yeah actually i was gaining weight pretty fast. But i dont think ill have any recovery problems because a miracle by God happened, i had a hole in my heart and i went to get an echo but down your throat (forgot what its called) and the hole is just gone now.@@colinmurrayYT
Thanks for making this... I remember a few years ago in 8th grade gym class we had a flexing contest (why idk) and when it was my turn my teacher asked "are you gonna do it?". Real slap in the face
There’s our ginger king! 💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥🔥
Super entertaining ! I Love the charming midwestern pragmatism as well!

I have osteopathic arthritis and switching to calisthenics has been great but its still hard as hell so any guidance is appreciated but i really did need to hear to break my workouts up better
Looking good!!!
Thank yah
Go wake up your family, a new Colin's video is out!
Walking handstands for the win 😮
I got to know the meaning of calisthenics today😊
I've been dabbling into calesthenics for the past month now, mainly focusing on the basics (pushups, pull ups and dips) and recently just learnt the L sit, but i feel like ive been stuck, this is such a helpful video! Just wondering what is the best way to tie in calesthenics into weight training? Because i feel like one always hinders the other
Super Juicy, lol. Love your videos. :D
Slam dunk to handstand progression is wild.
let colin murray cook (never seen a ginger with waves)
Thanks
Your relative strength at your height is super impressive! Also saw that split second straddle planche lol

another great video Colin, one of these days ill have to stop being lazy and start calistenics like ive been saying i would😅
lol it’s fun bro you gotta!
Been doing calisthenics for a while now and while I can't do any "cool" skills except the frog, I do enjoy it. Your videos are a great reminder and motivation booster.
Keep at it bro and you should try to learn the elbow lever it's another cool one and with some practice I bet you could do it.
Люблю твои видео!!!
Did you do any research on anatomy musculature in your path to fitness? Have you looked into GTG (grease the grooves)? Seems like it'd fit in with your philosophy.
tnx :3
How did you structure ur cali workouts and plyo workouts when you tried to work on your jump?
the book is called "Overcoming Gravity" by Low
Thank you Ginger Ripped Papa.
But in all seriousness I kinda needed this guide so thank you.
🫡
gorgeous ginger ❤
Me personally I'm a do both weightlifting and Calateshics both have good benefits
I agree they’re perfect in combination. Well sometimes they overlap but it’s good to do both
Through practice we become strong, so let’s practice y’all
Can you give any tips on having such a tight core in plank. @19 seconds your core is super high and tight to your body. When I'm in plank though, even focusing on my core, I tend to get a bit of a buldge out.
Amen.
I’m asking you because you seem very authentically. Have you thought about making a progress video? For those who are looking for how long progress takes 1-2 years etc
Yeah I have a 5 year progress video on my channel from when I was 17 to now 22 (wasn't all calisthenics) but I also show my progress with certain skills on there too
@@colinmurrayYT thanks! I found it
Let's get fit together 🙂🤘
I train 3x per week
1) planche workout
2) weighted basic workout
3) front lever workout

Hey, I'm New To Calisthenics
I Can Do The Fundamentals
So Can U Plz Tell Should I Train Skills On the Same Day On My Workout Days. Or Should I Train It On Rest Day?
Do you think callisthenics is superior to weightlifting or both of them can be used for equal success?
create a workout routine please cali+muscle like yours eg:-when to do skill, skill progressions, workout progressions, weighted or not? etc..
I gotchu bro I’ll start working on it
@@colinmurrayYT thanks make asap so i can start asap
Can you suggest stretches? Warmup
Hi colin, nice video. Forgive me for asking a question that is not the topics of this video, but i wanted to know something.
How often you ate carbs like rice ? Do you eat it at night ? Or just before your workout ? Also is it fine to have a rest week at the end of the month. Because my strenght training taxed my soulder pretty hard.
Thanks, as for carbs I don’t overthink it too much I eat them throughout the day but I try to eat mostly high protein stuff. And take rest if you need it otherwise just train lighter until your shoulder heals up. However, a week off every month probably isn’t necessary You can train other stuff like run or basketball instead if it hurts.
@@colinmurrayYT Thanks a lot for anwsering me question. Yeah, i wasn't planning on not training at all, but i didn't Think i was able to do 4 day of training this weak, something felt off. I think i am going to replace my push day by some cardio this week.
Thanks again bro. Good luck on your future videos.
Anyone know the song in the outro? 5:06
Im 122kg 6'5 and really struggling to do pressups.. I cant do any of the fundamentals. I wonder if Im just that weak?
Shout-out from Ukraine ❤
Someone can explain where I can ask question please cause everybody do it I wanna ask too thanks
Wow man how long did you do this?
I love how bare bones his apartment is lol.
when should I start doing skills what my basics goals should be?
I started with the L sit, handstand and front lever progressions. I think that’s the best place to start.
nj colin, lookin great. quick ? the end of the video and then the blank period breaks leading to you doing some exercises with no sound, was that intentional or an editing mistake?
yeah I messed up thanks for looking out!
@@colinmurrayYT lol still a gj and effort for posting more often :D
@@pastrana21lol thank you I’ll get to work to post more!
Hit the like button so this man can get some furniture
Hey I do push pull leg and should I do pull up every day because I wanna do more pull up
I think training it 2 times 3 a week is best for me push pull legs is great for that
I wouldn't say it's to defy gravity as much as abuse it
My bro literally looks like a Greek god to be honest
What style of calisthenics do you do?
Mostly weighted and static I want to start trying freestyle a little bit though
Emphasis on the sword ☑
How tall are you?
Where did u get your paralettes?
I have two pairs a cheaper one I have linked in the description and an expensive one from a company I think was called pull-upanddip
Do you have any recommendations for beginner equipment?
Resistance bands a pull-up bar is a great start
@@colinmurrayYT thank you dude :)
The term doesn't come from the ancient greeks, some modern guy slapped 2 greek words together and that's what we call it today, it's sort of how some US cities are named after ancient romans and greeks, like Cincinnati (Cincinnatus), even though Cincinnati's name is in a sense roman, it does not mean the city itself is roman, same thing with calisthenics, the word may sound ancient but it is actually not.
Not trying to be pedantic here, this was a nice video.
Colin, how tall are you? 6’1”?
6’3”? Just curious. You’re like as tall as your door.
lol 6’3 at least my new apartment is bigger. I’m so happy about it

You have left over clips and edits after the end of the video 👍
lol thanks bro you saved me
Do you have to be lean in order to do these crazy skills? I have some fat legs and when i try the L sit i cant even move my legs off the ground😢😂
lol I couldn’t either when I started, it’s hard😂 but you can however the bigger you are the harder it is cause that’s more weight you have to carry
I'm kinda glad, I'm not the only one who fell
😗🤣
(Yes, ik, that's bad)
I'm from Kherson, a city in Ukraine😅 So I guess I'm already half way there by being a Ukrainian, thank you for inspiring me to become crazy😂 Great content, my friend💪
