As someone who struggles in similar situations, this really helps knowing I'm not alone and it's so refreshing to see someone talking like a real person without the typical youtuber personality. Makes me feel like there is a reason to keep trying and be the guidance that some of us didn't have.
Please keep trying. We need more people proving genuine and authentic guidance.
I was nodding my head through this whole video. I felt this 100%. Thanks for the video, and keep doing what you are doing!
Haha I love to hear that! Thank you!
I'm so with you! I've learned to put on that mask in my field as well. I love what I do and I love helping people but there is a price to pay. After training or speaking engagements it can take days to recoup. Thank you for sharing this. It is incredibly brave! Thank you for the reminder that us introverts are not alone on this path...
Thank you for the honesty and for all the IT knowledge you give us, you are brave, thanks a lot.
As a nerd, I totally understand your concerns.
Thank you, Heath and all. You all are loved.
Thank you !!
Great video, thank you for sharing. A lot of this resonated with me
I definitely appreciate this video. I am an introvert as well, but I have been on podcasts and spoken at an international conference in front of lots of people.
We just need time to recharge after being around a bunch of people
It's like you're speaking to all my experiences too, Zach. I am SO glad we got to meet - albeit in a very overwhelming environment. I'm still recovering from 7 days ago!
rewatched!
So thankful we got to meet! Thank you for taking pictures with me!!
I'm try to pursue a career in tech field and I needed to here hear this because it's reminds me of my depression and how I need to find things that makes you happy . I learned to practice gratitude it's not about what you been thought is how are you going to get thought it and move forward with your life.
Hey dude. Thanks for the video. I'm a 40 years old nerd finally getting into it thanks to your videos. Got past thr interviews and I start soon. I 100% feel this video
Good for you to express yourself in this video. It will help a lot of people. Lovely
You guys are great! ❤
You too sir b
You know Zach, I often feel like I 'don't fit in' because I'm an extrovert. I'm often told to slow down, get back in my lane, don't be active on social media, and so on because I'm too outgoing. It's actually hard on my mental health.
these type of vids are awesome
Thank you!
I can totally relate. Thanks for the video.
For sure.
My RUN CMD Tshirt is one of my most favorite shirts. Someone complimented me on it.
It’s a good one!
Damn that was such a heartfelt video. I appreciate you making that. I highly look up to both of you and love the message you are putting out there. I’m a huge introvert also, it was cool to hear you guys are the same. Love that hate less hack more poster. Love the hack sign. Keep up the positive content. Love you guys! I’m going to post this on the LinkedIn too. ❤
Thank you brother, I appreciate it!
@@Itcareerquestions You’re welcome! I loved hearing your Pentest story btw! So cool.
Wellll.... Good to know it's not just me! Honestly, the pandemic was a blessing in disguise. Instead of remote some of the time, I was fully remote. I'm so much more productive when I'm at home and not in the office. When i have to interact with my ( wonderful, by the way) co workers, I always feel anxious like EVERYONE IS LOOKING AT ME and when it's like an entire day event I get physically exhausted. so I totally get it.
Thanks for this video!
Well done Zach
I'll gladly give you some of my bucket space
Always appreciated ❤️
This just shows that you are a cool guy.
From a fellow Nerd.
You're not alone, Zach. I can't handle crowded bars, roads, shops, stadiums, mega-cities ... gotten worse as I've gotten older. It's a matter of personal taste&preference; just like some of us love IT and some don't. As for population density reluctance, I chalk it up this way. If 1% of people are bad, the risk of experiencing a negative encounter increases as population-density increases, therefore it is quite rational and logical to be reluctant towards mega-cities, crowded rooms, or crowded anything. There are those who love NYC and LA, and can't imagine being anywhere else ... and that's fine for them to enjoy that. It just means we're different, which means we're maintaining that diversity thing, right?
You know I’m not unhappy with the way that I am. I understand I’m different and that’s okay. I embrace it.
I've met you briefly, and I can tell you I only get genuine, honest and humble vibes. Stay true to yourself; we can't all be extroverts... Stay weird, my friend.
Weird for life.
Thank you!
The pandemic was the first time extroverts had to adapt and they failed 😂 people don't realise the work introverts need to put in daily. I had mastered faking it as i worked in hospitality but since having kids and being a sahm. It's like i need to retrain again.
Zack like watching your videos you are cool guy! May I ask you question I’ll be glad if you can respond to it. My name is MikeIm not in IT industry and know very little about but really would like to try my self in it. But don’t know where to start from. Question is which one of those field would be good to start at ( SDET, QA tester or should I take time and learn PYTHON coding ).
Please come England at some point 😊
See? I KNEW you were a superhero, hehe 😉 and a very approachable one. My guess is that person was speaking about their own insecurities and is not at all a reflection of you guys.
Haha yeah somewhat of a super hero I guess! Thank you for all of you support!
The only reason it bothers me is because I would hate anyone to feel that way. I know how it feels to be in that position.
@@Itcareerquestions yeah I get it. Hopefully he or she gets to know you better and sees things differently.
So, at the 7 min mark i thought, “oh, so you’re autistic, like me.” Thanks for your show. Keep going 😊
I never saw you as unapproachable and it was my own anxiety about coming across like an asshole because my ADHD brain might say the wrong thing or something awkward that will forever brand me in the eyes of someone that's fairly more prominent in the community (despite the fact there's no logical reason to believe you would brand someone).
It's never a result of anything you or others cultivate, but it's a personal struggle of my own all the same.
