One thing I would like for you to test if having the Pelican leave immediately after 1 person enter the pelican. My friends and I believe it is related to the damage the pelican takes.
I'm fairly certain this was patched a couple weeks ago. Also, you always been able to receive friendly fire while in the evac shuttle, you can also use your stims while inside to heal any damage you have.
I feel like if your squad has to leave you behind at evac, you should be given a heroic last stand moment with Tears of the Sun-esque music while you inevitably get gunned down by bots or ripped apart by bugs.
Purely in theory, sounds fun. But there are so many extractions (especially on lower difficulty but even on 7 and above) where there aren't that many enemies, or its totally clear when the ship leaves. The game would then have to spawn a bunch of enemies, walk them over, and take out the player - and nobody wants to sit around waiting, held back from the next game for an extra minute, just for that.
@@theSatoI think it could be fine if they just made it so the ones that did evac get to go back to the ship normally, if they don't hit the "spectate" option, assuming there'd be one, while whoever didn't evac has to survive for a certain amount of time, or perform certain objective(s) before they get a second evac. Maybe even include permadeath, if people really are worried about time.
Never seen that bug, but I have had several encounters with pelicans that won't accept Helldivers. This is caused when a hellpod base is underneath the front landing gear, which distorts the pelican's hitbox, since it isn't completely level.
I hit the drop ship with the Arc Thrower in past updates, and it glitches the ship back up in the air a few feet.. Enough that I could prevent it from landing. I wonder if that still works?
The other night i swear i saw a clanker that was moving around a little to "human" wouldnt shoot at me it wouldnt die. It kept running from me. Im conviced it was one of the devs in disguise
I have had this happen twice, where the Pelican leaves as soon as a sinbgle person enters. One was a seemingly normal evac, and the second was landing on the ship as soon as it landed
I think it's very likely that many of these physics bugs are tied to certain framerates. That's generally the issue in other games. Having capped my fr since day 1 at 60, I've never run into any issues with the Pelican or Bile Titan ghosts or any of that stuff.
Once me and 3 friends were extracting from an Automaton mission, and as the last person was entering Pelican-1 a tank lined up the perfect shot straight into the back and killed all 4 of us. Pelican-1 took off, but we lost all samples.
Im pretty sure this is client sided? Once I had Pelican-1 teleport half way across the map, but the other helldivers walked towards where the Pelican was, then dissapear and their icon showed up across the map. I tried copying them and it just didnt work
Can one person evac twice? So one person enter pelican, get killed an reinforced fast befor timer runs out. Can the same person enter the pelican again?
I remember on the second day the game came out, I was able to get the ship to flip completely over and we werent able to extract, my friends were not happy but it was funny all all hell.
Previous mythbusting on this channel has shown you can make the pelican appear damaged / catch fire after dealing out a LOT of damage to it, but cannot actually destroy it.
The Pelican is pretty buggy in some scenarios, I've had the Pelican totally dissapearing into thin air when the first guy going on board got disconnected at the same time, thankfully it was possible to call it in again. If it gets hit by something like a railcannon strike or an orbital laser or a 500KG bomb while it's landing, people aren't able to board it, or even funnier, immediately takes off as soon as the first guy is on board leaving everyone else behind.
I witnessed the pelican launch into the stratosphere I think it was the first week I played the game. I was pretty upset at having lost those samples…now I realize the loss was no big deal.
don't say they're deploying the factories throughout the galaxy, when they're only in a few planets/ like 2 systems. NAME the planets and you'll be way more immersive AND credible for your news person gimmick
When the Pelican has spawned and Helldivers within range die, the Pelican stays hovering and shooting enemies within range. I've seen it happen only once but only bc there was only one person on the LZ and they got overrun. You guys could test it in a future episode! 🤔
Yeah that’s been a thing since the beginning! I found out the hard way on a public game where the match was going great, people were working together well, we had over 60 samples total which was nuts, and after the rest of the team boarded the Pelican our last guy gunned every single one of us down. He then extracted alone and we lost all our samples since they dropped out of us. Most toxic thing I’ve ever seen happen in the game.
If you are in a mission where it lands on a platform lower than you l (like the terminid wave based one where it lands in the middle), you can dive in through the ceiling off the top platform.
I got launched in the first week of the game being live. I was inside the shuttle at the time, someone reinforced into one of the wings and launched us. Tried it since then and could never get it to work.
Can the science team be trusted??
With better funding perhaps
@@jjmullins9585 Agreed
only if you can verify your findings in every patch
this universe is unstable :D

@@yannlee7821yep. If the pelican is on fire, only one helldiver can board.

Same with reloading but not really helpful once you're in the ship

The railcanon strike is a surefire way to leave on extract alone :)
It will prevent anyone from entering and will leave if people are aboard

You can already go into first-person while in the back of the evac ship, just use normal firstperson aiming :D

COMIC SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANS!
Been watching your channel for absolute ages and I'm really digging these short one myth videos for this game and the ministry of truth aspect

Myth or fact: the factory striders can be destroyed by one snowball?
this has probably been tested, but seeing as you can use stims after the evac has taken off, can you throw a grenade and kill everyone too?
My guess is that a lot of the evac shuttle launches were linked to lag/ ping between players.
Something to test:
Can you shoot down a Hellpod?
I’ve had a bile titan die on top of the ship and both the bile titan and the ship slowly sank into the ground
Super Scientist for Super Democracy.
For a minute, it looked like you could damage the pelican and possibly destroy it as it caught fire in one of the clips

Love the rp!
Cool presentation!
Never launched it but have had the shuttle be stuck in the ground and unable to be boarded. We were unable to extract.
I haven't seen this bug since like week 2 or 3.
2nd?
