I think the guitar is more demanding in terms of left hand strength. so you can practice violin only to keep your skills and just in case you need it one day you will be ready! for me I have tried many instruments. violin is the closest to me. if I were you I will never stop playing violin and it's good that your injury healed.
Haha that means I lost 20 😂😂 not really, I took a few years off when I was younger. But around 15 😂 Biggest thing is my sensitivity, lost the dynamic control and my fingers feel hard like rocks. Good luck, never too old to learn in my opinion especially if you practise

Tocar asi requiere unos 10 años de practica, yo llevo 6, inicié a los 55 años de edad.
