This is genius. I love this! I'm going to do this with my current favorite lipstick and put it into a beautiful vintage Italian lipstick case from the late 1930s. Thank you!
So happy I found this video! I’ve been wanting to put some new lipstick in an old tube and this seems so much easier than all the melting videos I’ve seen
What a great tip! Thank you very much. I found this video while looking for some ways to use a couple of empty lipsticks packagings that were very beautiful and expensive ...I will definitely use them for my lip balm! I always carry lip balms in my bag, but they have very flimsy plastic caps that tend to crack very quickly (my bag is very messy) and then the cap rols away... I'm running to put everthing in the freezer! Thank you again
OMG girlfriend, that works a treat....did exactly as you said and I've transferred my $2 lippy into my $40 case.....YES!!!!! thanks soooo much for your video.....I was impatient though and only froze my lippy for about 2 hrs....😆😆😆😆 and it worked the same😅😅😅😅😅👄👄👄👄👄
That's so cool, so happy it worked!!! :) some formulations only need 2 hours to freeze, others maybe longer; great to read that it worked even with impatience ;-)
Oven baking paper would be my suggestion. It is for food and usually there are ones without texture, so I would use a bit of that type of paper. I thank you for the tip, I'll see if i can implement this in the future. A pleasant weekend to you. //Hanna.
Thanks a lot! i was going to buy a lot of lipstick molds and use a lot of useless heating methods just to transfer lipstick! but with this, i can do this in 2 seconds!
I was looking for a video to reuse the eos packing for lip balm amd I found this soooo helpful video!!!! Now I can reuse my Dior lip packages!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!
Best use for this is with limited edition packaging. Mac does this a lot where they team up with an artist to create limited edition tubes that although you can get the colour again, you’ll never get the same tube again. Now I can keep refilling my favorite lipstick in my favourite LE tube!!
Fabulous video. I have two questions - do i have to keep the products in the deep freeze section where ice cubes are mades or just the normal fridge section where we keep our drinking water and day to day stuff? And after swapping the products, do i have to continue keeping the lipsticks in the fridge or i can keep them out for daily use? Look forward to your reply
Hi Wendy, thanks a lot - happy you like the video! For the first step it has to be an actual freezer section, where you would freeze ice etc. - as lipstick has to freeze to a hard texture so that you don't break it when removing. After the swap - no need for the freezer, you just use the product as normal!
I put my lippies in the freezer right after watching this. The next day, I did the swap in like 2 minutes. Super easy and no damage whatsoever to either lipstick...
Aha, I can use this to divide an expensive lipstick with friend, can't I ? Same procedure, except that one will have a cheaper case and a flat top lipstick (me) and the other one will have expensive case and lipstick shaped end (friend). Very good, thankyou. X
Oh wow, that's a creative way to look at it! but of course - that would totaly work :) Whatever the top is - flat or fancy - the lipstick would still be the same! :)
Hi Aishwaraya, well if it's over -you don't need to pull it out of course;) I just wanted to show both options. You would then only need to pull out the balm (or another lipstick) and put it back into the "expensive" pack.
Stacy Wilson If one of them is empty - you just freeze the full one and fit it into empty packaging. Or was that not te question? Sorry not sure I got it :)
Great video! I love this kind of thing (although I do end up making quite a mess!0 only thing was, I wanted you to hurry up a bit and get on with it! the intro seemed like an eternity, sorry, otherwise excellent!
Great advise but the explanation in writing words impide the visual approach. Thsnks anyway. I wish I could watch the entire process indtead of reading it.
Process starts at 6:08

Dang! I wish I watched this video before throwing away my old chanel lipstick
Thank you Liv!! This is such an awesome tip! I'm so glad I saw your video before throwing away any lipstick tubes!
I only use a lip balm in a bright, childish package. I needed a way to make it a respectable adult product, so thank you!
I especially love this tip because it doesn't require buying anything! To melt you need molds and things like that -_-

This is genius. I have a luxe lippie that went off and I was gutted to throw the packaging...
I put my lippies in the freezer right after watching this. The next day, I did the swap in like 2 minutes. Super easy and no damage whatsoever to either lipstick...

How long do you freeze it for?
Great tip❤️
Impractical!! How will I be able to pull out the lipstick from the packaging bottom if it's over!!

This was useful but I had to wait seven minutes to get the DIY!!!!
We are a Chinese manufacturer of beeswax for cosmetics
Hi, I am a new subscriber. Just throw out a nice lipstick tube, which I would have seen this video.
Great advise but the explanation in writing words impide the visual approach. Thsnks anyway. I wish I could watch the entire process indtead of reading it.
Mobile at full volume, barely audible. Thx.
gorgeous
Very good tip but your video was far too long to explain. I lost patience. Get to the point quicker xo
You talk too much, you repeat the same thing over and over again. If you write down your points and go through them in 2 minutes.
First 5-7 mins of useless talk. Stopped listening after 5
You talked too much for a small thing...much ado about nothing
Sorry you didn't find the video helpful, lots of people did actually.
u talk too much and repeat yourself
thank you...great tip!!!
