    If you put your lipsticks in the freezer for a few hours the entire lipstick comes straight out without leaving anything behind and It doesn't change the color. This works if you want to swap lipstick tubes because you might like one tube better than the one it came in.

    Ohhhh girl! I wish you had swatched them!!!! Also… would oiling the silicone part make it easier to come out? Ive watched other videos where they seem to do that, so I’m curious which way is better?

    I usually use tubes that are sleek without gap inside so I don't have to actually buy the mold kit thing. I love to mix my lipsticks 🥰

    Absolutely love the colours you’ve blended on your own, not to mention the money you have undoubtedly saved. Quality lipsticks run $20 plus here in Canada and you often can have difficulty finding just the right shade particularly as your skin tone changes with the seasons. Then, as we all know that in most cases they are not returnable at the store level. Good on you!

    Put the molds in the freeze and they will come right now. Do you have to use a mold? Can’t you pour back into your original tube?

    • @AshaLuxe
      @AshaLuxe  5 лет назад +1

      Kat BeWitched you could but I don’t think they would work with this kind of lipstick. Some lipsticks have a metal barrel that goes all the way up and the lipstick comes out of it from the top, they would probably work quite well if you just poured it in. But with a regular shape lipstick like these you will need moulds. 😊

    On heating the expired lipstick, does it become safe to reuse on lips? Do we have to add rubbing alcohol as well after heating it?

    • @AshaLuxe
      @AshaLuxe  2 года назад

      I sanitise my lipsticks now before I break them off. They do heat up very hot so will sanitise them with heat too. As for old lipstick, if it’s too old and expired it won’t mix well and probably won’t work. You could still try though. I don’t think it would work with anything over 5 years old.

    They need to have a hole plug at the top of the mold to unplug when you're taking it out. It's like a suction.

      @@AshaLuxe The oiling of the metal part of the mold is crucial, so that was super helpful and getting the air into the silicone also was key!! The new lipstick plug I made kept coming out of the container so I had to pull the plug out of the silicone and push it in by hand...hopefully it will stay put in the lipstick container once the lipstick comes to room temp. ;)

      @@AshaLuxe I noticed the plug moves from side to side a bit so it is slightly smaller than the lipstick container so next time I may put a bit of liquid lipstick in the bottom of the container first.
