Hello guys! Thank you so much for watching my videos! You might be interested in watching my other vid that might help you too! Here's the link: HOW to revamp faded and flaky sandals: ruclips.net/video/hkmmYoerRhM/видео.html
I would think that a white or a neutral gray basecoat before the color goes on would help the color pop a little more instead of painting on the dark fabric
I've been watching all these fake leather repair videos to find best way to repair my heavily damaged favorite bag! I absolutely love it and it's not even a designer bag, but its one of a kind and cannot buy it anywhere.
Personally, I would use "fabric paint" rather than leather paint. Fabric paint is the stuff meant for painting designs on like t-shirts, and would give the same shiny and opaque look as the original paint. I think "leather paint" is meant for painting leather that is already opaque - Not the fabric backing on faux leather products.
I have a little violet bag which is in great condition except for nearly all of the colour coming off. I really love it and was afraid I'd have to throw it away; now I know how to fix it. Thank you!💜💜💜
This bring good memories for me I use to love dyeing my shoes now I'm definitely reviving my favorite peeling bag :-)! Thanks keep up the good work :-)!
I am restoring bag for a long time since i am selling bags. When you peel that part, obviously the part that remain is not leather anymore. That is fabric/ canvass or sued. The one that you used is leather paint that is for leather only. Sad to say that paint will come off and became messy once became wet from rain/etc.
What If I apply Leather colour on upper layer of leather because my white handbag was not peeling off is only colour fadden and wash my handbag but it's looking same after wash
This should be a comedy video x bless your sweet heart - that bag looks awful x I wish you for the new year a beautiful classic bag that you deserve to make you feel beautiful and loved which Im sure you already are and that is the most important thing x
Hiii..great video... I am from India..I hv one of my fav bag and it's started peeling now I hv hardly used it...can u plz let me know which kind of soap u hv used...I saw u hv mentioned mild soap so any soap can be used? And secondly what applicator u hv used to apply the paint also let me know the acrylic paints can be used to color the bag??? Plz reply and help me dear
Hello first of all, thank you for watching my video:) Yes you can use any kind of mild soap/liquid soap or shampoo will do. The paint applicator is called Paint/dye dauber, and the paint is not acrylic ma'am, it's a paint especially for leather/faux leather. You can buy it thru online shop. Just search for : leather paint, any brand will do. Thank you. Hope I have helped you:)
Good effort but you should call this "My experiment with trying to fix a purse". Depending where you are from and how rare it is to have a nice purse, I think that was a lot of work just to fix that top and sides knowing the rest will start peeling soon. I also would have liked to see what you did with the peeling parts of the main front of the bag. If I took my bag to a repair shop and this is what they returned to me, I would tell them to keep it.
That handbag was so abused, shameful. The mini restoration you did was amazing. Might even be able to sell it, but not a bag I would ever carry. Time to donate to Salvation Army. 😊
I wish she would of compared before and after side by side. The finished bag doesn't look new. Not even close. You wouldn't be able to pass it off as new. Maybe its the lighting, or just the angle of the bag?
Hi! Thank you for your comment, first of all my intention was not to make it look like a new bag... Because I couldn't really do it. My purpose is to fix it, and accept the final outcome of my effort 🙂 which is to hide its flaws by painting the bag🙂 I appreciate your comment. Thank you so much 🙏
Hello, the product name is Liam jacob leather paint.. I bought it from online shop in the Philippines. You can try to search it online too, if its available in your country. Thanks
Kinda, but i have an old burberry one, i have applied acrylic before it kinda looks ok (i thinks it's better than this, if it's for small touches i guess it'll be alright)maybe because it's dark brown but you'll need lots and lots of paint. And it's not machine wash proof. Mine got cracked again maybe because the leather is old. I was thinking to apply some rubber paint to cover cracks and then apply acrylic again.
I watched it until I was sleepy. I thought the ending would be good again. It turned out to make me laugh. It would have been better if it had been thrown in the trash from the start.
I badly need your help po. SO i bought a nine west bag since pandemic matagal kong di nagamit tapos nung gagamitin ko na hala nabakbak na na. I remove everything so parang white nalang sya, i am thinking of painting it light brown ano po ung pedeng paint. Bale afyer I removed everything parang malambot na makapal na white layer na lang sya. Help po kasi sayang ung bag.
Hello, if malambot po, fabric paint.. If leather naman po, leather paint At meron din naman pong canvass paint... Makikita mo to sa shoppee, Liam jacob po ang name ng product.
Yw. I had to do the same thing on a purse handle a few months ago. I started peeling by hand and rubbing then realized duct tape was easier, faster and less messy. 😉
Hello dear! You can watch my video where I fixed my faded wedge sandals, I used the same products, I bought them online. Thank you for watching my vid❤️
I don't understand this effort at all because it doesn't show any leather in that bag, yes PU leather if you call that leather. The peeling part isn't authentic leather at all. I will throw it. Time to get an authentic one. Girl, you deserve better.
Hello, thank you for the suggestion :) But for me, and other person as well, don't wanna just throw things right away, if they can find solutions to fix it, they would definitely don't mind about the time and money being spent repairing those things that they love.
