Hi! The synthetic leather came off my satchel bag and I painted those areas like handle sides in Pink colour from Angelus. But I still see little residue kind of particles falling off. Can I seal it anyway?
I am not a professional but if It was my bag, i would try to keep on scraping the particles that falls off and maybe add another layer of angelus paint till they are all sort of sealed before coating it with a finisher
So you used the same preparation liquid on Longchamp canvas?
I have not painted on a long champ canvas but i have painted on a Hermes garden party canvas bag. since the canvas is very absorbent, my paint stick very well on it. I am not a professional. I am basing this on my personal experience. if your canvas have some sort of coating which will not allow the paint to stivk to it then you have to use a deglazer. If yhe canvas is uncoated, just paint directly on it but make sure you apply acrylic finisher to protect your painting better
Hi, nice video, what do you use to trace design on the bag ?
Hi! thank you. if you want to trace designs on bag, you can use a carbon paper. or you can fill the back of the image you want to trace with graphite (by rubbing a pencil)
Is the finisher a regular acrylic or special type of varnish?
It is an acrylic varnish especially for leather
Does sanding first help paint adhere? Stuff the bag or keep it flat?
I do not sand my bags. LEATHER PREPARER will remove all of the gloss and what ever top coat the bag has. Prepping your bag with a leather preparer or acetone is a very important step not to skip because this will ensure your paint to adhere perfectly. The most important thing to remember is to always make sure each layer of your paint is very flat. Any thickness and paint bumps will most likely crack or chip off in a long run. Its ok to add on layers as long as you keep it flat and make sure the first layer is totally dry before applying another. Always make sure to stuff the bag. What is visible to your eye’s angle while painting on a flat bag may not be the same when the bag is used with things inside. So your painting will end up looking distorted. Make sure the bag is stuffed and on its actual shape while you paint. hope this helps❤️

Hi! Can I use acrylic paint with regular liquitex instead or is leather acrylic specific?
Hi! if you are going to paint on a faux leather or on tote bag made of canvas, regular liquitex may be ok to use but if you are going to paint on genuine leather and if you want the painting to last as long as your leather bag would, then it may be best to use a leather acrylic. i am not a professional but based on my experience, leather paint is the best. it is also more flexible.
I bought a bag that pink but more on the peach color I want to paint the whole bag like a blush pink can I just spray paint it ?
Hi! I am not the right person to ask about spray paints cause i have never used that technique😅 I do a lot of recoloring projects. I use a regular leather paint and brush.

What is cons if i paint my faux leather wallet with acrylic (not the leather acrylic one), is varnish type important?
I am not a professional but based on my experience, acrylic especially made for leather is more flexible and durable compared to the regular acrylic. a special leather finisher (topcoat) is very important. It seals your painting and protects it

Can we use nail paint remover instead of deglazer
Some artists use nail polish instead of deglazer. You just need to be very careful because it can easily remove the bag color
hello po ! is it possible po na mag-paint over darker colors ? yung bag ko po kasi is dark redish pink but i want to paint over it with a barbie pink na medy light ng konti. :)
When painting over a dark surface i usually paint over it with white first so the new lighter color would pop. This works best based on my experience.
Hello! I have a question, if I don't have an acrylic finish, what product can I put that is similar? thank you
I’m new to the angelus paints but my friend who is in the art costumes department for movie sets told me it’s fine without the finish, she said it still lasts and is the same but some people do it just to be on the super safe side like if they are selling to a certain standard but if it’s just your own side project it can def go unvarnished. It will still last.
I do not know other alternative products that will serve a similar purpose as the acrylic finisher I am sorry.
Super glossy po ba ang angelus leather paint ? Or mas better ang angelus leather dye ?
makali ang pagkaka iba ang paint sa dye. i am not an expert but to put it simply sa experience ko, uneven ng hitsura nang dye depende sa kung gaano at papaano sya i absorb nang leather. sobrang thin and watery kase ang dye. at high risk din sya mag stain sa ibang bagay. ang angelus paint is napak even nang result nya after a few thin layers.
Is this process the same with patent leather handbags?
Since patent coated leather have a texture close to plastic, i think an acrylic paint that is especially made for plastic is more ideal. I am not an expert, it is just my thought. Please do your own research and decide for yourself.
Can I use Posca colors on leather?
Yes You can it is an acrylic but i would prefer specific leather acrylic for the larger surface to cover. I like to use posca only for outlines

very essential po ang acrylic finisher. ito po bale ang top coat nya. it protects it from sunlight, rain and its just a good overall protection

Hi po. Pwede po bang gumamit ng cheaper brand ng acrylic paint? Makapit parin po ba sa leather ang paint kahit na cheaper yung gagamitin?
Hi! sa tingin ko po mas matigas at stiff po pag nag dry yung regular acrylic paint so mataas po ang chance na mag crack sya agad or mag chip off.
Na try ko naman po ang regular acrylic sa faux leather. hindi pa naman sya nag crack. mag 4 years ko na sya ginagamit. I think the key is to make sure your paint layers are thin lang. di pwede may thickness ang painting to avoid problems like ma tanggal or mag crack. Good luck po.
Do you have any other recommended leather paint brands other than angelus paints? :)))
I have not tried other brands yet. I will make a video of other brands after I get the chance to try them.
Can i paint the whole bag? Not like drawing anything just have a bag that i hate it colour and want to dye it another colour

Is the varnish glossy. I need to paint rubbed off corners in my bag, and the bag it is pretty matt and white. I wonder how glossy this particular varnish is?
The angelus acrylic finisher 600 is pretty glossy. I bought the matte finisher it still has a little gloss on it but definitely better than the 600

I badly need your help po. SO i bought a nine west bag since pandemic matagal kong di nagamit tapos nung gagamitin ko na hala nabakbak na na. I remove everything so parang white nalang sya, i am thinking of painting it light brown ano po ung pedeng paint. Bale afyer I removed everything parang malambot na makapal na tela na lang sya. Help po kasi sayang ung bag.
I am sorry about your bag. I am not a professional but if It was my bag, I would use a leather acrylic to recolor it

It is an acrylic specifically made for leather
How long this paint will last in daily use & OIL, DIRT, TEMPERATURE will they affect it ?
In my personal opinion,the paint will last long if you take care of your bag. If the bag is a genuine leather then it would last really long. If the bag is faux leather, it may last as long as your bag lasts. Of course you should not scratch it. You must avoid storing the bag under direct sunlight.

Pwede po kayong bumili nang mga brush sa local art shop nyo meron din sa national book store. Ang angelus leather paint naman ay mabibili mo online. type mo lang leather paint na acrylic khit hindi angelus meron naman din ibang brand na leather paint. wag po ang leather dye iba po yun
Di na po need gamitan ng primer?

if its PU /Faux leather then what paint do you suggest? Also how to make it water proof?
I hear other artist prefer to use regular acrylic paint for the faux leather but personally I prefer to use leather paint even for faux leather bags. The Angelus acrylic finisher is what i use to protect it from the sun and water

How do u remove the paint if gone wrone? Please reply
If you make a mistake, you can remove the paint using water WHILE THE PAINT IS STILL WET.
If the paint had already dried, you can use leather preparer or an acetone to remove the paint but then you will also be removing the original leather color underneath. So, if you don’t want a discolored spot, it would be best for you to cover up your mistake with a design instead of removing any paint.
why not using acrylic? i saw a lot of artists who uses acrylic paint to bags they sale
