Totally hear you on the dangers of neglecting stuff that isn't in a Project Pan. I've exceeded my panning goals so far for this year (2/3 of the products in just half the year!). so I'm consciously "slacking" a bit and using stuff that isn't in the project. And not stressing so much about quickly finishing what IS in it, either. It seems to be working; I'm having more fun with my stuff now, which was the goal all along.
