And pilots as always, I'll see you IN THE SKIES!
#djifpv #djifpvtutorial #djifpvtips Кино
Before I first tried full manual for real, I did about 30 hours in sim. Trying it in real flight for the first time was a very nerve-racking experience. I first started flying high from the ground and as I gained more confidence, started flying lower to the ground and eventually close to things and through large gaps. Practicing in sim and flying for real in between, has allowed me to get better at this quickly. I am still not 100% confident when flying in manual, but it's getting better and I get less anxious everytime I do it. Definitely a very challenging but fun and rewarding experience.
Awesome tutorial video Rahim!
Thanks man, and thank you too for leaving your experience here. I hope others would also do the same in practice, and learn to progressively grow in the hobby instead of rushing into it. Its just gonna make the chances of crashing higher. Gonna pin this.
And btw, I still get that nervous feeling once in a while, especially if i haven't flown like for 2-3 weeks. But its alright. Just takes a shorter time now to ease into the sticks, compared to when I just started. So just keep at it friend. You're on the right path. Enjoy the journey, and I'll see you in the skies!
What did you use to practice for simulator?
@@archuro8693 Liftoff on Steam is a good one
First time M-Mode: Tried simulator and soon realized that it truly wasn't preparing me for real world.
Went to an open space, adjusted my sticks accordingly, configured settings to unlock M-Mode (with attitude setting locked) and initialized launch sequence, took off in N-Mode, toggled M-Mode and flew around for a few minutes before realizing (2) things. 1) The drone is fast. 2) M-Mode is not as scary as I originally thought.
After flying around in M-Mode for 1 battery, I disabled the attitude safety switch and flew for another 2 batteries performing flips n sweeps and testing my top speed limits.
First impression? (This is my first fpv drone)
-This thing is fast! I am a speed demon so it's perfect for me.
-Flips n tricks are super fun! I have much work to do in order to perform calculated maneuvers however.
-The drone's quick response time paired with the quality of the transmission makes for a truly fun time like if I were watching a Top Gun dogfight.
I can't wait to fly this thing again!
Thanks for sharing your experience. Yes one thing that the DJI sim can never compare to the real world is e speed perception. Get comfortable and when ready, practice close-to-ground long speedy passes. No need for fancy flying, just straight sweeps n big turns. Go back n check e footage. Cinematic awesomeness 🤟🏽
I've searched and searched...This is by far the best DJI FPV tutorial that I've come across so far. Thank you, and great job!🤙🏾
Thank u! That means alot to me. Hope it has given u enough basic tools to get into the skies and with more hours in the sim, u will be achieving the shots u envision 🤟🏽
Just wanted to say watching these videos has been very helpful for me. Just did my first manual mode flight this evening and it was great! Thanks!
Thanks for watching. Hope u have been flying great friend ✌🏽.
I liked your simple explanation, especially the bit about throttle and altitude. Helped a lot. I've been flying in sport mode, and now I am flying in manual mode. I still have a lot of practice to feel comfortable, but the practice does help. Your video helped me to better understand the controls to get the drone to do what I want. Thanks.
You're most welcome. More time spent on the sim will make u better out on the field. Its not always that we get to fly, unless u live out on e sub-urbs. So for me, i spend time on the sim to train up the muscle memory and get comfortable with all the controls. Sure beats learning the hard way by crashing out on the field 🤟🏽. If u have any questions, just shoot and ill get back to u as soon as i can. Fly safe 👍🏼
Rahim, your videos are helping me and giving me confidence. I’ve been flying acro mode with my smaller fpv drones for about a year now. I’ve wrecked them all so many times and that’s given me an opportunity to learn more about the drones and learn how to solder. I haven’t yet put my dji fpv in manual mode because I’m scared to wreck. Your step by step videos are getting me out of my shell. Thanks
Glad to hear. No need to rush it. Its not a easy jump, and at least u have other drones to have practiced first. I actually always spend my first 5 mins to just get into the feel of flight and at e same time do checks with basic flips and rolls. So take it easy and just cruise around abit at the first go. Also be aware of where the Pause button is. Saved me many times ✌🏽
I am soooo glad I found you! Long time DJI pilot in N and S modes. Just bought the Avatar combo package to learn M flight. I have been working on the DJI simulator for hours. After a billion crashes I now understand the roll / turn with acceleration if needed. I’ve learned more from this video than many, many others. Subscribed and will watch all tutorials!! Thanks for posting!
Sorry I missed this. You're most welcome and thanks for subscribing! Hope the journey has been smooth for you. Yea N and S modes are very familiar on the DJI FPV/Avata kits to anyone that have flown GPS drones. But M mode is a total different beast. Do enjoy not only this tutorial series, but you may wanna binge on the Avatat series too. Kinda feel the Avata series has a better lesson flow. Do feel free to ask any help anywhere in the comments and I'll respond in kind. Till then, enjoy the journey and I'll see you in the skies!
ty for makikng this - i actually found your video after my first manual flight which lol didn't go well - i didn't realize the change in how the left and right sticks worked - ended up barely getting off the ground and wrecking it - i had flown in sport mode for a while and felt fairly comfortable in the air with it - lol yea manual is a whole different beast. Thank you again for making this.
Brillaint video, detailed and didnt miss a thing. Really helped me out trying manual mode , especially the bits about the throttle and altitude.
Glad to hear. Hope u r flying great so far. Feel free to ask if u wanna clarify anithing. Fly safe!
Your video is exactly what I need. I love all the safety futures that are in this drone.
Glad to hear. My top 2. 1) Return home if signal loss 2) Height limit. Limit in Singapore is 60m, and so I can easily get carried away soaring and end up breaking laws. If you are starting out, spend more time in the sim first to get muscle memory in. You will not regret it. Till then, see you in the skies!
The best tutorial ever for the newbie in racing FPV.
Congrats and thanx!!!
U r most welcome! Get that muscle memory dialed in, and beyond is all on the pilot 🤟🏽
I am working my way up to flying in manual mode. Thank you so much for this video, it has been more than helpful. Have a great day!
Hey mate thanks! Take your time with it and enjoy the journey. Took me afew months to really be comfortable in acro, and many more later to be smooth at it and find my flow. Part of FPV is crashing, so avoid that by understanding the controls first in the sim. U will be alright🤟🏽. Take care and fly safe!
I'm sure many will find your tutorial videos useful in getting to know the DJI FPV drone. I've been building and flying racing drones and many other flying things for quite some years. After purchasing my DJI FPV drone, the first thing I did was to study and try to get as much info on this particular drone. Being an rc enthusiast building and flying all things RC, I have crashed enough and learnt the hard way, the importance of knowing my model before attempting to fly and that is how I came across your YT channel. Have subscribed! Your advice is excellent and so I just wanted to point out that a few trials on the SIM will save a lot of guesswork for new pilots especially in switching back and forth into and out of acro mode. I'm also on android so I borrowed my wife's Apple phone just to get myself prepared for the real thing. I am glad I did a bit of SIM practice and I am sure it will help others heaps. Been to your country a couple of times and have seen some of those places! Nice. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the sub! And yes, ALL PILOTS SHOULD BE ON THE SIM before their first flight. We as seasoned fpv pilots know this importance. Hell, even a 3rd party smartphone app like Freerider FPV let me practice Acro while taking a dump. So its kinda seems rushed that a beta ver of DJI Sim was released, when so many either do not understand Acro flight (N and S mode creates bad habits.) or have no access to it since we're on Android. Hated it myself, but I at least could access it on my iPad. Not everyone will have this access. And I say, this may be the 80% reason many are crashing. So this is one of the main reasons I felt this content had to be up soon. At least I let u know what to expect on your first Acro flight. Will get a Sim roundup in upcoming episodes.
A good tutorial (I guess that’s what you would call it) I have watched this and today I have been out for my first manual flight with my DJI FPV and this helped so much, thank you!
Im so glad it helped u through your first flight! Congrats, u are now a full-fledged FPV pilot 🤟🏽. More manual flight tips n tricks coming. (Watch Part 2 and 3 of the same title 😃). Feel free to ask any questions if u have any. See u in the skies!
I lasted about 2 seconds on manual mode, even with the angel mode on I still crashed. I didn't have dji care, but able to repair broken arm myself and I am back up and flying. But that was my first experience with full or I should say manual mode. This was roughly about 10 hours without any close calls. Great work keep up the good videos.
Glad ur still in e air. It really takes awhile. What DJI didnt say about FPV is that u will crash ALOT. And their drone is not at all prepared to take such a beating that FPV freestyle can offer. Im keeping its flights to mainly controlled cruises and e occasional freestyle. Crank it on the sim, and u WILL notice a diff in your abilities out on the field. 🤟🏽
So you're saying you shell out about 1k or more but couldn't afford dji care. What kind of bs is this man. At this price point you should consider getting this dji care for any drone.
Ever thought maybe its not offered where he's from? Not available in Singapore anyways 🤷🏽♂️
How long have you had your fpv done.
I've had mine for 4 months now and still haven't tried the manual settings 🙃.
I'm trying to be really careful, but even though I'm just used the sport mode I still manage to crash 😅.
How long did you practice before you went in to manual?
@@Omexicon first day with it I went full enchilada. All the way in. I've owned it for 2 month's now. Would recommend manual 💯% this thing screams. And if you fly it in the cold at full throttle you can sometimes see condition for in the props.
Thanks for the roll-yaw tutorial exercise. I hope to see more training videos in the future.
You got it! I feel there is more to say about this episode. Part 2 coming up!
Thank you! This was the best manual mode tutorial for beginner. Luckily I saw it right before I went to the field. Wish me 🤞🏿
Good luck! Thanks for watching, and do ask away if u have any questions 🤟🏽
Gréât video - thanks man! Receiving my FPV today can’t wait to fly it 😅 good to see mid air AND what you do with the remote, very helpful. Take care
Glad to hear it helps! And WELCOME to the FPV family! Watch my other episodes for tips and tutorials, and feel free to ask if u have questions. Fly safe 🤟🏽
Really great tutorial, very informative and excellent presenting style. Thanks bro, you are excellent!
Thank u v much! Means alot. There will be more content coming up. Stay tuned 🤟🏽
This video was very helpful especially when describing how to turn and maneuver in Manual Mode. Thank you
Thanks! More tips and tutorials along the channel, and u find them useful too. See u in the skies and do ask if u have any questions 🤟🏽
Thanks for your video, I start learning DJI FPV manual mode from you. Great step-by-step video 👍
Glad it was helpful! Take your time, take it easy. its not a sprint, but a marathon. feel free to chat with me in any of my video comments if u have any questions. Fly safe, and see u in the skies!
Thank you for the instructions mate! 😃✌️ really helped me understand how acro mode works!
Glad it helped! Haven seen any do a live view while in flight, so tot id give it a try. Hope u r doing better in the skies! See u in the next one 🤟🏽
Nice video man,
gonna try the sim first and will let you know.
Love from New Zealand
Greeting from Singapore! Thanks and sorry iv missed this. So how's ur flying been? U on DJI FPV or Avata btw? Looking forward to flying to and in NZ! Already had some offroading trips to North and South of Perth and will be in Melbourne this May. Saving up for a campervan trip to NZ!
Just found your vids. Very helpful & informative for 1st timer like me. Had spark before but FPV is really something.
Keep up the good vids bro
Yea, having the assistance of auto-levelling and GPS hover is great, but once u go into Manual mode, it becomes a whole new beast! Hope u practice more in the sim to get that muscle memory dialed in. Feel free to ask anithing. Fly safe 🤟🏽
This is exactly what I needed to hear 👍
Glad it helped! Catchup w me in any of e episodes if u have any questions;) Fly safe, ill see u in the skies🤘🏽
Your videos have been so helpful! Thank you!
You're most welcome! And do ask me anithing if u run into any issues. Glad to help ✌🏽
Great video! Only just getting started with fpv so this was very helpful
Great to hear mate. Sorry took me awhile, was on vacation. Take your time in the sim too. This ep is part of a whole series on Manual Mode. Do check out that playlist. Fly safe, and see you in the skies!
Thanks Bro. I haven't tried manual mode yet (only on sim). But your videos gave me so much insight.
You're most welcome, and great to hear that. Take your time with manual mode. There will be a point that you get really comfortable in the sim, and that would be a great time to finally switch it up in the sky. Enjoy the journey, and I'll see you in the skies!
Thanks man🙏🏻🙏🏻Was standing in the field, going manual first time. Shitting my pants, ready to go and nothing happened😳. You saved my day🙌🏻
By the way, lift off simulator helped A-LOT!!! Highly recommended for beginners 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Glad u are flying in M mode. Gonna be looking to Liftoff soon. Saw that there is a DJI FPV drone option. Wanna know how realistic it feels. Stay safe in the skies friend 🤟🏽
Awesome video bro! Finally had my first manual flight...and while exhilarating, it was also also nerve-racking and after I landed my hands were shaking and palms were sweating...LOL...I have to work on my left turns as I seem to stall and lose height, my right turns (weirdly enough) felt ok
Thanks! And its not weird at all. This was exactly what i experienced too when i started DIY fpv. Its kinda a case of learning new stuff, and muscle memory was just getting comfortable at different sides. Like i would do a full roll right and stabilise it easy, but having problems on the left roll. Takes awhile mate, and thats where getting in the sim would help get the muscle memory in. Even now, on first 5mins id find a field to warm up before i send it! lol! Still sweat in the palms too. Its just that we will all go through it, and just learn to manage it better as we get comfortable and confident in the skies. hope your journey stays safe and feel free to ask me anithing as you go along. Till then, see you in the skies!
Great video, thanks for the information on how to get into manual mode!
Thanks and you're most welcome. Just helping fellow pilots transit from normal modes in M. Hope it helped u too. See u in the skies 🤟🏽
Thank you for this. FPV has been very confusing for me and your video is extremely helpful.
Thanks for watching. Fly at your own comfortable pace. And if u wanna try anithing, good to go higher where your airspace laws permit. See u in the skies friend. More to come 🤟🏽
Thank you Rahim! this video really helps me to understand fly in M mode
But NO NEED TO RUSH. More time in sim, means more time in the skies later on 🤟🏽
I trained in the Virtual Flight and in the LiftOff Sim around 14 hours. Then I started to fly very high in Manual Mode, but felt overwhelmed by it. I stopped it to learn some month until now, where I have a big nice Ricefield of 1 km in front of my place in Bali and also the time to do it.. Here I fly now every day and more and more I get used to it. After over a week I can fly now quite accurate, can change speeds, fly 2-4 meters above the ground, fly around things, dive and do every day something else I want to learn about it. It is like bicycle learning. You get used to it and it becomes easier every day. Finally I can do the Dives that the Normal Mode can't really do. My DJI FPV in Normal Mode wiggles always, when I go down with high speeds. I really happy I am learning this now 😊
Thanks for sharing your journey mate. I hope with this, others reading would have a better understanding that anyone can pickup a DJI FPV and fly in N and S modes easily, but M Mode is WHOLE OTHER BEAST that takes many hours of sim practice to not only build an understanding of its controls, but also automate the muscle memory of it and also get used to aspirated/dynamic flying with goggles. This is what I feel DJI did not tell its customers. Its not a sprint, but a marathon to really fly acro/manual. Hope the journey will continue to be exciting for you mate. See you in the skies!
subscribed. One of the best DJI FPV channel
Well that made my afternoon! Thanks, but im humbled. There are many out there, and im learning from them just e same. Aniways thanks too for e sub! Fly safe and see u in e skies!
I needed a video like this with some simple basics about flying full manual mode....thanks 👍🙏👍🙏👍
Sorry I missed this. You're most welcome! Hope the journey has been smooth for you. Do feel free to ask any help anywhere in the comments and I'll respond in kind. Till then, enjoy the journey and I'll see you in the skies!
Thank you for the tutorial. Your knowledge helped me 👍
You're most welcome. Just sharing some good tips to help new pilots fly safely. Feel free to ask anything along the way. See you in the skies 🤟🏽
very informative videos, Rahim. keep making these ✌🏻
Will do! Thanks for watching. Much more content on DJI FPV, and will mix it up also with traditional FPV stuff. See u in the next one!
Im starting my journey to M mode today, the video was more than helpful
Its rough, being my first tutorial series, but I hope the information will be useful to those new to M mode. Take the time to practice in the sim too, as it helps build muscle memory. Eventually, u will reach a stage that you no longer need to think of the different controls, and just automate your flying. Hope the journey will be good to u. Fly safe and see you in the skies!
Thanks for helping me with the controls in M mode.
Just needed this video.
Its a different beast in M Mode. Take your time learning to control it. More episodes coming up. I wanna touch on e actual basics of flight. Safe flight and see u in the skies!
@@TheReelRahim I already have three other DJI drones - Spark, Air 1 and Mavic 2 Pro but this is a game changer. I flew it for the first time today and man I was amazed with the acceleration and the speed. it's normal mode is much faster than spots mode in any other drone. Will take time to get accustomed to it.
Thanks for your videos.
SAME HERE THE FIRST TIME FOR ME. But i fly traditional FPV too, just have been v rusty. So DJI FPV is quite a beast too. Also owning a Mavic and Phantom, this is A DIFF ANIMAL from those 2. Hope my episodes will help u flow smoother into the FPV world. 🤟🏽
Thanks for your videos.
Keep it up.
Thanks mate. Will do 🤟🏽
No hate from this one, love all you do for us! Calm winds and blue skies.......
Thank u kind Sir! Just casual sharing. Hope to bring more love to the skies. Your usual GPS drones are great, but the FPV world is someting else. And many are getting into it and crashing on their first time. So just here to help 🤟🏽
This was a very good video. I’m not ready for manually mode jet. I have tried it on the simulator but crashed all the time and that was because I used the stick’s in the same way as in normal and sport. Didn’t know how different the use of the sticks was. So this video cleared up a lot for me 😊
Glad to hear. It was difficult for me too when i first got into DIY FPV, moving from gps drones. Many crashes and painful lessons, and i'm glad that DJI has made the DJI FPV to help the masses get into FPV and smoothen the learning curve. Feel free to ask me anithing along your journey. See you in the skies!
Love your tutorials man!
I appreciate that! Hope it gets u into FPV smoother! See u in the next one!
Very helpful, thanks for taking the time
Its alot of things, and i hope there is some takeaway, even if u have been flying manual alr 🤙🏼
New upload woohoo !!!!! Please more DJI FPV tutorials !! Which rates were you flying on? So my first experience is a work in progress, in acro it was just lift off, I have followed your rates tutorial to get a slower response on the throttle stick thus far.....keep up the good work!
Hey wassup ATL fam! Will do, more to come! Anyways its 8:50am in Sg right now. What time is it now in Atlanta?
@@TheReelRahim Right now it is 8:59pm EST.....I am practicing Acro in the simulator a lot and with Velocidrone as well...cannot wait to get good at it
@@sshdrones Roger that! So we're 12h apart. Awesome, gonna set a widget on my phone. Kinda gives e feeling of 'internationally connected', or whatever that means lol! Hey im on velocidrone too! Just updated, but haven flown it yet. E controller worked well on a 2019 ver. Keep flying it and dial in your personal rates or even just follow e rates of e DJI FPV into the sim. Should give a closer feel to flying it versus e DJI flight sim. ALWAYS better to fly safe on e sim. Can practice dives too!
@@TheReelRahim Yes that's what I have been doing, thus far building dive is the 1st move that I am able to do without too much trouble. Quick Qs: What is the proper way in acro mode to stay leveled like you're flying a normal mavic? Are the DJI V2 goggles compatible with the DJI v1 Air Unit?
Great vid bro rates are wilddd😮
Sorry I missed this. Been away for awhile. Hope wild means great! Lol! Hows the journey been for you? Been in M mode yet?
Thanks for this video!!
You're most welcome. If u run into any issues, feel free to ask. Will be glad to help ✌🏽
How could anyone be hating on you.
Very easy to.follow and understand thanks mate..wish I had some local knowledge or a FPV club..it hasn't taken off still in Sydney AUSTRALIA.. keep on keeping mate all the best
I HOPE THEY ARE ONLY TROLLS! But its all good. Not gonna change the fact that ill still make content, better content! Im sharing my content in the DJI FPV Australia community on FB. Not sure any reside in Sydney tho. ID LOVE TO SKYDIVE THERE AGAIN! Anyways u could go check them out. And you could always find me here or on ayimmech@gmail.com if u wanna chat. cheers mate.
Your a legend buddy..mate im in wollongong and we have sky dives daily there I follow them with my quad..lol keep on keeping mate thanks for reply
I bet those will be some killer shots! I do hope to go there and dive again. With a drone too this time! See u in the skies!
great video
Keep up the good work !
Thank u 🙏🏼. Only upwards from here 😏
My first manual flight was not so long - I did got the same error message as you have at 08:13 'Remote controller control stick error' and was scared to by it, so I switched back to N mode. (To get rid of that message - I calibrated RC twice in a row and made sure that I hold the sticks more steady next time when switching to manual mode). Main surprise was how was the drone was - realising that I will need bigger playground for the next try. Thanks for another great video!
Great to hear ur on M mode! Its a whole new beast right?! Have fun n enjoy e freedom! I wouldnt sweat it over e error sign, coz if u had loosened your sticks, it would be normal, as e spring sensors expect that there would be auto-centering of the sticks. So will sound e alarm if there e sticks wont centre on its own.
Best tutorial out there for unlocking acro
Thanks! Hope to make better content as episodes come along! See u in the next one!
Thank you sir! I did my second flight today and I noticed I was going really fast. I’ll love to go slow.
If u are in the same settings as me, meaning 20-30deg camera angle, i would also fly fast if i was high up. So to fly slow, is acually low to e ground. U will have better control of e drone that way
Btw hope u have a look at other episodes too, as ill give tips along e way. Fly safe, see u in e skies!
This is great. Thank you.
You're most welcome. Hope it helps u out in the skies, and do feel free to ask me anithing to make your flights easier. Till then, see u in the skies 🤟🏽
This was super helpful, Thanks!
You're most welcome! By the way, are you viewing bcoz you got the DJI Avata or DJI FPV. Just wondering, as maybe I should do a DJI Avata specific tutorial.
@@TheReelRahim I watched because I am learning how to fly manual mode on the simulator before I buy the Avata. I already have the Air 2S, but fly that is much different than flying manual mode.
practiced a lot with freerider sim on my android. only $6. flying with mode 2. it has really helped and gave me the confidence
Money well spent. Anitime, aniday, and been having it for the past 4 years 😅🤣
Thks for d video bro.
Nicely done.
I am not ready to go manual as yet but will sure to follow along with your lessons when I am ready to.
The first time I switched to manual and take off, I crashed. Fortunately the drone survived. It was good that you showed flying high and switching to manual from there. I believe this to be a better start.
You did not show the landing portion, I think is important else might be opened to crashes upon landing.
I think would be good to press d pause button or to switch to normal mode to land at least for the first time.
Thanks again bro for the valuable sharing of the lessons. Well done.
Yup u can always come back whenever u r ready. I used to rush to learn tricks and moves, but realised that taking a steady pace will be more enjoyable than a sprint to be e best pilot (is there such a status even?). And yes, should have covered e landing portion, but that will be noted in a future episode. Thanks for e feedback! Fly safe 🤘🏽
The best way to learn is by muscle memory. Thinking about it will only make you crash lol.....I do the sim a ton, practice a ton more in real life, and it just clicks. Good videos :)
Thanks and yup! Nothing beats more sticktime. So best bet for those getting into not just FJI FPV, but FPV in general should spend more time on the sticks b4 they send it to e skies.
Nice video man 👍🏽
Thanks! Hope you enjoyed it. See you in the skies!
I'm loving your channel, Rahim! I've been flying drones for several years here in Canada, but just picked up the DJI FPV drone, so I've been binging all your vids! Are you in Singapore?
Thanks for much love! Oh man Canada! My dream location for Northshore bike trails and who knows can meet my YT hero Peter McKinnon 🤟🏽. Hope iv helped u enuf to get u in e skies for FPV. Ask away if u have any qns. And yep im in Singapore. Small country. Mostly urban landscapes. Nothing like Banff 🤭
Thank you so much for this video. Ive been practicing with my FPV DJI on sport and manual mode on the simulator. I just can't get myself to do it outdoors yet lol. Definitely don't want to crash it.
Nobody wants too and nobody should✌🏽. No need to rush into M mode, as its very unforgiving. Invest time in the sim, and im sure u will be better in the skies. Its not that far off once u get the muscle memory in 🤟🏽
I had been flying DJI drones since 2014, but this doesn't mean I easily fly FPV. Thanks for the tip and looking forward I will learn how to fly this drone and visit Singapore in the future.
Greetings! Take your time, and do spend more time on the simulator. I too started with other DJI drones and along the way built DIY drones. Just learning to fly FPV was never a easy learning curve. But with more practice on the sim, u will get the hang of it.
Great vídeo 👍and subbed,👌👌
Thanks for much love and support! More content coming up, see u in the next one 🤟🏽
I'm a little late to the party but I finally got the FPV and avata and started in sport. I switched to manual and have had a couple of take offs and lands as well as flights with no crashes yet(fingers crossed). Thanks for your explanation of things.
Welcome to the skies mate! Glad to hear you journey has been great thus far. Hope you keep the pace, as there is no need to rush into things. Thats where i made my mistakes but that was with DIY drones years back. Many crashes on the first pack and much more time spent on the bench then in the skies. So now im playing it safe with my DJI drones, as they are not the hardiest when it comes to taking tumbles. See you in the skies!
my first experience with M mode in the DJI fly app simulation was disastrous.. haha.. I was literally flippin around like a crazy fly that was sprayed by Ridsect. Your explanation has really put some sense and meaning into the sticks action.. and will go back and test it out again. Probably need to change and shift the rates too..
Its all good. Stock is ok, but my custom rate smoothens the minor stick inputs, AND improves max rotation at stick ends. Actually, ya. Some pilots have mentioned that they go into crazy spins. Actually N and S mode creates those bad habits. Like forever pushing forward to move forward. Comparison in manual, just pitch it and leave it there. It will just keep moving fwd. Put more hours into e sim. Its much cheaper in the end 😏
@@TheReelRahim ahh..N and S creates those bad habits.. deep.. haha.. i have been stuck in S still.. will definitely try out M in the sim first before heading out in real.. cheers!
Cheers mate. Next Fri ep is gonna be a Part 3 of Manual flight, IN SIM. So waitout for it for some tips. THIS Fri ep im gonna test out the new update 🤟🏽
@@TheReelRahim awesome, bro
Great info!!! Regards from Guatemala
Greetings! Such a vibrant city! Please share more aerial flights around your country!
Brilliant bro. Great info!
Hey bro thanks! Fly safe and see u in e next one!
@@TheReelRahim SET!!
I brought the dji fpv drone a month ago n it's been like 2 weeks I'm training in dji virtual app n i still make a hell of crashes and dont know how to use the m mode properly..but this videos helped me with some of the drone settings... Tnx for the videos bro
Glad to hear and you're most welcome. Not all was covered in one episode tho, so i hope you could also watch the series in the playlist. More tips and do feel free to ask anithing along your journey. See you in the skies!
I haven't tried the manual mode yet.
But you have been really helpful
The first drone I bought was the djifpv.
Thanks and welcome to the skies! Glad to have helped. No worries, take the time to practice in the sim. Manual mode is a different beast and will need the hours of practice. If you have any questions through you journey, feel free to ask me anything. Stay safe in the skies!
Thanks for the tips! I am hoping to get a drone soon! Tried it in the DJI sim on my phone and got kinda freaked out. But phone controls always suck so. Good video!
If u r using touch screen, may not replicate e feeling well. And so a friend actually got just a controller to practice on the sim 🤟🏽
Very helpful video thank . I started the M mode for a few times already , it’s fun . Before started flying with the M mode . I always fly the aircraft without the goggle in sport mode . Before take off I don’t even turned on the goggle and just wait a few second until the controller tell me the GPS is ready to fly . ( I used to fly remote helicopters) . Thanks
When u said u didnt fly w goggles, immediately i knew u were a fellow LOS pilot! I did LOS too, but w DIY drones. LOS is great man, gonna build me one soon too. Great that u r on FPV M Mode now, and once sticks are more familliar, go for cinematics and trics occasionally too. Ill have more on cinematics soon, so see u in e next one 🤙🏼
Great video
Thanks for watching. See you in the skies!
Nice vid, thanks! First experience in the simulator, I actually almost got sick lmao 😂 I feel that's one aspect that many don't even talk about. VR is weird the first few times around.
Nooooo please dont call it VR. A First-Person-View flight experience is not to be mixed up as Virtual Reality. But aniways, i get u. And sounds like i need to bringe topic up as an episode. Coz some take it easy, while some get dizzy. So best is spend time on the Sim to get adjusted into the flight experience. Its not gonna be much help totry and get used to it out on e field. Coz it may really take many hours to really be comfortable. And again, thanks for e idea. Take your time, your pace. Good basics make a great pilot 🤟🏽
Did my first full manual flight yesterday! Didn’t crash, flight itself lasted about 8 minutes or so. Terrifying experience. I’ve been flying drones for good five years now. Gotta practice some more manual stuff!
GREAT TO HEAR! And yes, it is terrifying at the beginning, but will get better. There will be a time that you may not even care to fly in N or S except to launch or land it. Being in manual mode actually makes flights easier as you dont always have to wrestle with the drone to keep it pointed in the direction you last left it. Hope you will discover more through your journey friend. Stay safe and see you in the skies!
It sure is terrifying experience on a first flight! But gets better overtime.
Awesome video man thank you! I recognized your accent right away, you're from Singapore right? My wife is from Singapore but moved here to the USA with me. Can't wait to go back in March! I just flew my first time in manual today but it was before I watched your video. Thanks for your video, it gave me answers to questions I had!
Yes! Greetings from Singapore! Wished I had the guts (or budget) to fly to the US, but maybe someday! Saving every bit of this YT monies for bigger things! Glad the episode helped answer some of the questions, but also feel free to drop a comment or question on any episode and i'll be sure to respond as soon! Take care out there. See you in the skies!
Thanks bro for the tutorial
You're most welcome! See u i the mext one 🤟🏽
Wow 🤩 🙌🏾good information right here.
Hey glad to see u again! Hope this will help to give u a better perspective of how manual flight works. u kinda came by just in time for this episode too. let me know how it goes :)
@@TheReelRahim yes I will let you know tomorrow,am going to try this.thank u🙏
@@leonaloveish so just a nudge forward and let e stick recentre. Its not like N or S mode where u have to hold e stick forward. Catch u again soon
Thanks for sharing.
You're most welcome. See you in the skies!
Thank you for your help! I’ve been flying drones since 2020 but bought my first FPV drone last week. The only tricky part is I fly Mode 3 so I have to flip what you’re doing in my brain in real time haha 😂
Thanks for help
Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱🖖
Greetings friend! Hope to make more DJI FPV tutorials in the future 🤟🏽. See u in the skies!
Great video, I am used to my custom builds in terms of FPV. I only tried once DJI FPV, and it felt like flying a bus lol. It is a nice experience but I belive that DJI should of used bigger motors on that bird. Cheers!
Yup its PHAT. I mean it does a OK job, but its no DIY and will never fly like one. MAYBE with bigger motors, but overall geometry will not be right. But aniways it flies better than my GPS DIY on iNav tho. So for myself, I wont bother building on iNav anymore unless a real need to. See you in the skies mate!
Thanks great video
You're most welcome! Hope the series helps you out! Fly safe!
Awesome! Greetings from Texas, US
Hi Good Morning!! its nearly 9am in Sg and u r starting my day great! Man, would love to do a range flight in Texan landscapes. Stay safe in the skies!
@@TheReelRahim yes sir. Your videos are very informative, I'm still only switching to manual in the wide open fields. I've been flying gps drone for about 5 years and just now getting into fpv with that dji combo.
I'm practicing hard on the simulator and it's a whole other level compared to the mavics and phantoms.
Thank you for shere.
You're most welcome. See you in the skies!
Good information!!!
Thanks! Stay safe in the skies!
Thanks for the tutorial mode, been using the simulator and moving to testing in a field now. I find the way the drone moves from normal to manual mode in terms of controls would be similar to how a vtol aircraft works.
Man didnt know that. Now im curious. Will ask my friend google 🤭. Thanks for sharing. See u in the skies 🤟🏽
This is the most usefull one
Thanks! Hope u r doing good in the skies! More sim practice will be invaluable too ✌🏽
Thank you im new and learning on the virtul sim
Greetings friend and welcome to e skies! Really take the time on the sim, as that will build your muscle memory and really get your reactions to situations sharper. And u can crash as many times! 😅 hope this will soon unlock your creativity in the skies!
Appreciate you bro
Thanks for watching 🤟🏽. Ask away if u have any questions. Will be glad to help u in e skies
Thank you!
You're most welcome! Fly safe and hope to see you in the next one!
Good video! Now got the hang of the roll-yaw thing in acro mode. Love my DJi FPV but the drone is heavy and it feel extra heavy when you get out of a loop.
Great u r on loops too! U will gain confidence being inverted 🤙🏼. Yup just keep those coordinated roll-yaw turns, and u will be on e way to smooth scenematic flows 🤘🏽
Hahaha I bought this drone without any prior experience with drones in general, just want to fly fast and so I put it in manual and crash it into the house hahaha waited a week for DJI to send replacement. This is a good video to start before transition into manual mode . Good job
Glad u got a replacement on that. Keep practicing, enjoy e experience and stay safe in the skies 🤟🏽
@@TheReelRahim thank you brother, as of right now I am on my second replacement 😂😂😂 man I really need to stick to the stimulator….
Thanks man
No problem! There will be more for us all to get started in flying FPV, so stay tuned! see u in the next one!
Good video
Thanks! Hope it works to make e FPV journey smoother for u 🤟🏽
Thank you for sharing. Do you get the "Remote controller control stick error" often after adjusting the controller? I'm having intermittent errors when in Acro.
Hi Rahim. Excellent video. I have been really nervous about my first manual mode flight and this helps a lot. Hopefully I will be flying in manual by the weekend. Question: Did you ever get the motion sickness feeling while wearing the goggles and if yes, how have you gotten past it? I have experienced it quite a bit in the simulator.
Welcome to the skies 🤟🏽. Tak it slow on manual, and kinda get some hours in the sim for e feel. Also get familiar w e Pause button and just standby to activate it anitime.
About the motion sickness, YES. Thats y many...like REALLY MANY fpv pilots fly while seated on a field chair/bench. Helps the physical body stabilize while e eyes are in the air! Rest every 5mins u are in the air. Will get better over time ✌🏽. Feel free to ask anithing b4 flight 🤟🏽
I also did in the sim but actually I have not at all
So actually is you did or did not? 🤔
I fly helicopters and this is the same stick movement. Bought the dji fpv and will go flying soon, but first without the goggles, just to see how it behaves. Great video😉👍
Thanks! And yup, it should be the same if u r in Mode 2. Iv never owned helis, but may in the future. For higher-level drone license here in SG, capability to handle a rc heli is required. Right now, im just training LOS w a quad, but also in Manual for more acro flips. I bet u wont have any prob handling e DJI in LOS, even in Manual since u already have handled helis. Recommended to get in Sim and goggles first as FPV can cause motion sickness for some. Rather u be in safety of your own home than get dizzy in the sky 🤟🏽
@@TheReelRahim Hello my friend, greetings from the Netherlands🙂 and thank you for your reply. I was looking for android simulator or macbook but no luck yet, i also havo windows 10. Is it only ipad or iPhone? How does it work anyway, you just use the controller via usb to the device and simulator?
Greetings!
DJI has no Virtual Fly app for Android yet. So i connect up my controller directly with FPV Freerider (paid).
ruclips.net/video/XoMAws0Db14/видео.html
I prefer their Recharged version. Has Bando maps! Controller works great after a simple calibration. Follow the cable connection steps and only use a data cable. It should work without much fuss. If the free app version works for u, buying it will be worthwhile as u can practice almost aniwhere and have your own settings. Downside is that u cant connect goggles up. Some actuall will get slot-in VR goggles, and just slot in their phone 🤟🏽
It was at least. 300 feet high before changed to M mode , I used your rates numbers to roll and flip . Thanks
Go for it! Im testing other rates to combine closer to my kind of flying of fair freestyle ability, and control on cinematic scenes. Ill have another episode once i have them dialed in. See u in e next one, and fly safe.🤙🏼
Thanks bro
See u in the next one
Thanks for the info. Just got my fpv few days ago. I was in "panic" mode when 1st attempt to try in acro mode. Totally panic and the pause button save my days.
Saved me SOOO MANY TIMES TOO! Even as a seasoned pilot, this feature is invaluable. Im glad DJI included it. I have built my own GPS drones with such a feature, but not as refined as the DJI FPV. Wished I had it when I was learning acro years back. Keep on flying bro! Eventually u will fully transition to full acro even on the launch!
