As much as I love Jetfire, this set comes across as a little underwhelming, what are peoples thoughts?
Hi Ben, I recently brought APC attack prime (from TF direct), it's joints are very tight. So if I try to use a hair dryer, will it damage the paint and the plastic? If it is safe, how long do I use the hair dryer on a joint for?
And yes that set in the video might be a little underwhelming, but at least it has great paint job.
And do I need to use cold water after using hair dryer?
@@alpanashukla4904 before you try the hairdryer method, try searching youtube for "shock oil toy joints". You may be able to source it from a hobby shop, especially those that sell Tamiya racing cars.

I’m actually thinking of getting the Optimus Prime from TFDIRECT, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the buy.
The Logo on the tail fins of Jetfire are not a squirrel, they are of a Skunk, as the department of Lockheed Martin Corp that designed and built the SR-71 Blackbird was known as "The Skunk Works" as their work was mainly top secret in nature
The skunk was from a WWII comic strip apparently no idea what it was called but obviously got up to mischief lol.

Personally I do love the look of the Optimus, mostly for his robot mode. I'll be displaying my Wei Jiang Studio Series Optimus in truck mode while this one will be displayed in robot mode as I love the paint work on it.
Does this and the Wei Jiang SS have the same height?

Given how atrocious the prices are for the normal sized studio series jetfire, I’m really considering getting this guy. More bang for my buck

i also want a 50 cm jetfire but at least now we have a good scale with studio series figures
Man, I am so glad I got the FWI when I could.
I have that Jetfire displayed with my Studio Series collection because I just think the figure scales better there. I prefer the ROTF PS2/Wii video game scale when it comes to characters like Jetfire and The Fallen. They were huge in that game.

Great review! Of the toys mentioned in this video, I'm planning on getting the Iron Factory kit first to go with my LT2. Then at some point I'd like to get the Jetfire as a stand alone Jetfire and skip the OSKO SS Prime. Ideally someone will make a kit to go with the IF Jetpower kit and form a full, transformable Jetfire, but that's VERY unlikely...
I know WJ and BMB are only KO’s toys company , but it looks like WJ puts more attention and accuracy in their works

Really hope that Aoyi will make jetfire that compatible with Optimus Prime LS03. and also has quality as good as and the same class with LS03.

I am reasonably disappointed in this figure set from Black Mamba. Black Mamba has been so amazing - their last few offerings - LS-03 Optimus especially, were such great quality.
But these just seem a little lacklustre on BMB's part. I don't know what it is, neither figure just really scream "Buy me", like so many recent KOs have.

Completely agree with you, as much as i like the Jetfire figure, the set as a whole is slightly underwhelming and I can only really see it appealing to the completionists
People are feeling the same way with the KO Constructicons

Wish they oversize Jetfire a bit more. He just so small compared to LS 13, which is doesn't make sense. I can't buy him because he doesn't scale well with my collection.

great video love the ss line and i am getting jetfire and optimus prime 44 or 32 for my b day.
I shaved plastic from the huge gun handle and now it can be inserted in the closed fist perfectly. Stupid design oversight though.

Well, this one's like 9inches. And average Studio Series figures range from 4-8 inches.

Not gonna combine them..the removable abs part would not come off on my Prime copy..and the hinge of the gas tank would not budge..i rather keep them separate..i think im gonna replace my ROTF Jetfire with this one. I'd keep the other one in Jet mode tho..

Hi Ben, I watched this video a while ago. I've been thinking of getting this Jetfire since I found out he can combine with MPM-4/LT-2. Have you tried that combo yet?
That truck looks pretty good, but... I don’t like the hot rod paint scheme, and now that I have a Bumblebee 2019 Aoyi Optimus Prime, I think the (traditional but upgraded) robot form looks much better. I’m ok with Bay’s TFs, but imagine if they had made the BB19 Optimus for the 2007 film... I think fans would have exploded with fanatic joy.
I don’t like that Jetfire is so big and well designed but still just a shell-former. I do think the bot mode should be the priority, but surely they can find a way to stop having the bottom be the obvious figure of the robot mode.

I am wondering how long that Optimus is in car mode, we still dont have a properly scaled SS Prime yet witch would be around 22/23 cm's.. this one is to big as well right?

I think BmB should have made Jetfire at least as tall as their version of Scorn or Grimlock. It would still be shorter than it should be, but far taller than what they did here.
I also think they should have made an upgrade kit for the LS03/LS03F to convert Optimus Prime into the Jet Prime combo.
Other than that, I'd get this jetfire over any other because it looks good, and if I want to display it with optimus, I'd get the LS14 and combine them and keep them like that.

It can, you just need to shave some plastic off the flat tab. Works perfectly now.

A shame about the crap joints. Honestly, I don't think that they needed to oversize these at all. But, at least the combined mode looks better than SS44 Jetwing Optimus Prime...that ain't bad, but even the old Takara one from DotM (reuses the RotF Leader mold) has that thing beat.
I do not think I like any of these Jetfire/Prime combinations. Prime in the movies looked severely bulked up, his legs were not the skinny stock ones he had before he died. After he killed fallen and dropped the wings he looked like he had been hitting the gym and stocking up on HGH.

Usually Weijiang modifies some of the parts to make it more movie accurate, but the short smokestacks, small gas tanks and the wheel guard on the legs really makes this figure a waste. Couldve used some engineering aspects from their Black Apple Thunder Leader.
