Oh that's a beast of a figure! I just kinda wish the fusion cannon blade didnt fold out, but rather slid in and out like in the movie. I think itd look far better. Either way, I've always loved that version of his fusion cannon. It's so damn good looking.

Yeah, that would have made him perfect. Still an amazing figure tough.
One thing to notice he doesn't have a giant gaping hole on the side of he body so it finaly fix!
I wish his blade was removable so I can attach it to optimus chest in order to recreate the "you are so weak"
Leader size + screen accurate metallic paint + interchangeable arms + DNA upgrade kit to fill in the side gaps and add light up features = WHY DIDN'T HASTAK DO THIS FIRST?!

Just a personal opinion.....I actually like the added wings on this figure! It is actually a movie-accurate addition, seeing as how, after being brought back, Megatron was a pseudo-triple-changer. He had his robot mode, the tank mode and a jet-tank mode......though, that mode was only shown two or three times, and *briefly* at best! I could see why some would see it as an unnecessary change, though!
Ordered one online I love the look of megatron in the 2nd movie more than the first 1 his tank mode looks so badass.
I find Ben's videos very soothing like watching Bob Ross. Lol

I’ve always been dedicated with collecting official licensed figures for transformers in the past decade. However, the disappointing regresa of Hasbro’s quality is not convincing me anymore even after it’s improvements from the Age of Extinction lines. This Megatron figure is peak Transformers collectors material and deserves better than to be call a “knock-off” when it makes the original extremely cheap and off-the-rack of some local dollar or discount store.
Honestly I'm thrilled he's rachetless! Can't stand em! Now I'm considering getting this beast!

Such a great looking figure. Was going to hold out for the inevitable battle damaged version repaint but couldn't stop myself. It's making it hard as a collector to continue to be excited by standard takara mp releases especially the more toon they get with their aesthetic because I collect hot toys, and other high end stuff and my dioramas/displays with my os ko stuff just looks so far superior to the genuine stuff.i ant even a Dan of bayverse designs.....hated them tbh but looking at everything in my displays as a whole I'm starting to feel like my g1 mp's (really from mp-36 on) look dumb. I don't even have anything post soundwave still out, everything is boxed and in storage, same with my mpms. I think maybe I'm just in a collectors rut but even figures like mp-44 only excite me(even though I'm going to buy it) because I know I'll eventually be able to purchase a weijiang (or similar company)battle damaged or even regular, more premium painted oversized version.

as long as friction joints are nice and tight, which it seems these are, i enjoy them more than ratchets. you get limitless mobility with them within the range, while ratchet joints, even good ones, still only have as much as 15-20 points of articulation within them. badones will have as little as 5
OMG I also happen to have the Nightmare Takara Megs exclusive !! And I thought the original ROTF Leader figure was chunky and huge..
After double checking the TFW’s scale charts, Black mambas prime still seems to be the most in scale next to Megs.
With both standing straight, the tip of primes head should be at Megs “collar bones”
Though Megatron is always at a hunch, So the poses round 4:50 seems fine.
I think it isn’t the height that might be throwing you off...more the general proportions for prime...he might need to be abit thinner.
Can't wait to get this! Not worried about scale. The canards/wings on the front fold out too.

This is basically a masterpiece
The Chinese stuff is often better than the Masterpieces now.
Just look at the mess Takara made of Ironhide.
That Takara gets their first allows them to fix the issue the originals have - that said I'd say this is close in tone to a Masterpiece than the Wei Jiang Studio Series Overscale is. (though even he looks really good once you replace his hands).
I just wish there was an easy option to replace MO1 Commanders hands too.
The only hands that I know fit are almost impossible to find (the pre-knuckleduster UFO hands).
just found out OS KO versions of TF figure exists! impulse purchased this guy and im loving him so far. Fits the detolf section perfectly and its considerably cheap compared to the anime figures i used to collect in relative to size.
That’s a beautiful figure, I collect the masterpiece, studio series, and I have some 3rd parties, I don’t worry about the scaling I just keep them organized, masterpiece with masterpiece, studio series with studio series, and anything else if it’s a nice figure I grab it, I did just start collecting some of the siege figures I underestimated those, some of those are pretty nice.
Unless I get the Black Apple Optimus Prime I'll wait for the Dream Factory version to scale with my MPM toys.

@@yunpenghuang1335 fucking massive. Id say 50cm tall. Only problem is that the tracks dont connect properly to the main body, but they dont separe from it either. Put in a table in tank form it looks amazing

I prefer vehicle scaling. I figure alien robots can be any size, but the real life vehicles have real life scales.
Nah, the scale in the movies is pretty messed up since the 07 movie where Megatron and Starscream were supposed to be huge but they downsized in ROTF and in DOTM somehow Optimus is the same height as Sentinel and Megatron even if their truck modes were larger and bigger. i prefer to ignore their scale and just select one that works well on screen and faithfulness to the characters roles. Maybe the movies also do the famous mass-shifting stuff as in other TF media
really, I don't mind if the joint have no ratchet, because ratchet make me feel more like a toy than a collector action figure, Box decide I very nice, for such a complicate figure they still make it can transform, I think they real spend some time for the engineering. For S$80, I can't ask for more. Thanks for the upload of this video review, I never know there is such a brand on the market. I always think of Takara Tomy/ Hasbro when come to Transformer. it going to be one of my collection. The only problem is I dont know which one should I buy between the Black Mamba version or TF Dream Factory version after I see all your Megatron review videos.

Random question, how does this figure scale against a regular 1/6 scale figure (like a hot toys)? The reason I ask is I'm building a 1/6 cyborg superman and was thinking using parts from this figure, so I need to know if galvatron's proportions are roughly to scale, specifically his arms

Damn that's pretty cool. I guess it doesn't need ratchets? Megatron had hand that transformed into a cannon arm. So either is more or less accurate. However blue light is not. Good review Ben

The front small wheel really doesnt really align with the back small wheel right? Ive been breaking my neck trying to align both on a flat surface.
That seems to be the bane of this incarnation of Megatron, from the original figures released when "Revenge of The Fallen" came out up until now! I remember having the same issues with the original Leader Class figure, and I had the same issues with this one........

Hi ben i notes that when u fold the larval feet (his heel) on megatron u didnt go all the way it has to make a click Sound ish so his larval heles goes horizontal with the whole tank.
If its not bend all the Way it will get difficult til assemble the larval feets to his body and it will lift up his front wheels.

No one said anything about pre-ordering man. The dream factory Megatron might still be for pre order tho. It scales perfectly with mpm -04 prime, and has more accurate feet, as well as Cybertronian glyps engraved throughout his body. Making it even more movie accurate than BM-LS-06. Comes with extra arm, light up gun and eyes as well

I bought this a few years ago but sadly mine has broke the claw hand
anyone else have issues with the fusion cannon led light? mine can turn on by a press of a button but won't stay on. this started to happen after a few presses. now i have to hold the button for the light to stay on.
Question but is there a way to store the cannon arm in tank mode?

The Canon is ment to be in the transform also it covers the Hole up from the back of the tank 👌🏽
Ratchets help to stabilize the figure when posing. But I can pass that since this still looks so great along with the gimmicks

I have been pondering the Construction conundrum too which is is it acceptable to have full features robot and vehicle mode with lots of joints that looks great (Sort of like the recent Dream Factory Bonecrusher) and loose the combination ability.
I can't see it being reasonable to have Mixmaster or Overload done with all their triplechanging features and combine as well. But the idea of a monster scale Demolishor/Scavenger interests me quite a lot.
I've seen scratch build Overloads and Longhaul that look spectacular so I do hope to see them done by someone sometime (and that they don't just copy the Hasbro ones).
Take Ramapage for example - I Love the look of the CGI with the elaborate tail - but I also like the pre-release / toy design with it's complex options for other robot modes - especially as it applies to the yellow version which we don't really see much of - so that could have had the different robot mode anyway.

its a great model but the plastic feels very cheap and the joints on the leg very soft so i dont really enjoy myself with this model
