No not big brain in the movie when optimus prime flies down to the ground he got a parachute when he detached the parachute he used the hooks but not lighted,and in the forest battle he threwed one energon sword at grindor if you dont believe me watch the entire movie and observe it dumbass
The ROTF leader mold really did innovate how Prime transformations are done nowadays
Yeah, it sucks that Hasbro forgot that the ROTF/Buster mold exists when they made Studio Series for Bayprime(which is basically a deviation of the evasion mode mold)
@@demonking86420 They didn't forget, they just wanted to squeeze another unique transformation out of the design, and to accommodate combining with Jetfire. (Even if it is just First Edition TFP Optimus in movie skin)
Plus they already made a Voyager using nearly the exact engineering of Leader Prime.

Anyways, I do think that the engineering used for the ROTF/buster/(to some extent mpm because it borrows from the feet engineering) nailed it better than studio series

I know the ROTF Leader mold is outdated by today, but man I could never forget how much it BLEW my 7 year-old mind. I still call it a masterpiece personally.
1:34, the production model also comes with 2 “righthand” guns. the only scene where both of these guns were present at once was in the warehouse fight scene where optimus and the autobot rescues sam from megatron. Believe it or not, that scene showed that optimus’s gun were identical to one another, with the left gun being exactly like the right. So black mamba did not mess up here, it is accurate to the movie

This size is perfect for masterpiece IMO, the mpm04 always felt small. For 2-2.5 inch figures I love using the mega construx ones, they always matched MPs and MPMs sizes best IMO
This is why I bought him.

Hasbro-Takara need to keep things cheap for mass market appeal, these third parties already have the mould of the figure made for them and appeal to a premium market.
I want someone to make a Fallen figure to scale with this Prime and their upcoming Megatron. He'd probably have to be titan class sized though..
I wouldn't say titan class sized. More like Unicron or Primus sized.
Since these knockoffs are getting rediculously good i can finally afford to have a "collection" at least i can now finally start one.
I started with a KO Takara Prowl and besides some loose joints (fixed that quite easily tho) it looks amazing (especially keeping in mind it only cost me 25,- euro's)
I now ordered this prime (for about 70,- euro's) and it should get to me around the 7th of december and im so excited for it.
The entire knockoff market is in a raise, the quality is getting better (paintwise sometimes even better than Hasbro or Takara) joints are getting better, AliExpress is more and more trustworthy (as long as you use common sense)
I love this figure and this video, must have watched it 10 times by now (mostly getting to know the transformation)
Anyway I hope these companies keep pushing the limits of those figures and I hope you keep reviewing them

This looks exceedingly gorgeous! I kind of like it more with the blue on the shoulders but its an amazing piece.
I feel like this is the definitive movie prime but its just too big to go with anything

Im collecting all of these oversized 3rd party figures and im getting this optimus, the ls-12 megatron, ls-09 ironhide, ls-18 jazz, lts-03c bumblebee, ls-04 starscream and hopefully there will be a oversized ratchet of the masterpiece ratchet mpm-11. I might also buy some of the other oversized decepticons like brawl, blackout, barricade and bonecrusher who is rare and expensive! Anyways hope this answers your question!

Hey I just ordered this figure off of eBay. I would have not bought this if it hadn’t been for this review. Really love the accuracy and datalink you presented. I would have preferred the black apple wei jiang figure, but sadly it’s hard to find him let alone get him for a decent price. Wish weijiang would sell that figure again.
So do I. It's over a year later from your comment, and the Black Apple one is the only one that looks correct in truck mode. I'd love to have a Black Mamba in robut mode and a Black Apple in truck mode for the shelf.
I really love the look of this, especially the new shoulder pads. Unfortunately I have no use for a Prime who's that big so I won't be getting it.
It would look nice in a Prime Shrine tho.
If the scale on these Bother some people ; Then I'd suggest the way I personally look at them ; which is to see them as akin to a Hot Toys 1/6th scale Human - they represent the character in a "collectable" size.
If you want them to more or less scale with others though - well they are certainly making plenty of them in the bigger sizes between the various companies and with the improvements they often have they are pretty much worth a buy for that alone regardless of size.
Besides this fella is rather complex so being a bit bigger makes him a bit less of a chore to Transform.
Buy it because you like it and put it on a shelf on it's own as a centre piece. Or display it with other Optimus Primes (regardless of scale.)
Personally I think he's more than justifiable with the Oversize Brawl, Bumblebee and others to put with him.

The two right hand guns is screen accurate. In the movies, the two were exactly the same, not mirror images of each other. Just thought I'd point that out lol
I'd be into this if the paint was on par with legendary but I always planned on buying whatever black Apple reworks anyway so I guess I'll save some money by passing on this. Those clear Windows(and paint) make the figure look cheap which is a real shame after all they put into this.
Yes me to, I didn't like this clear windows on the original Hasbro/Takara version and I don't like them here! They should make them blue or paint them black like LT did! I will wait for the WeiJiang/BlackApple version!
Adam Tsiolas yeah, blue or black tinted/painted Windows do a lot to break up that section and clear Windows just makes it look cheap. If I had this I would have to spray tint them and apply a wash over that chest section and other areas that are silver to make the details pop more. It's a shame because I really like the size of this one and all the diecast they added.
There are no photos yet of the painted version of the WeiJiang/Black Apple, but i really hope they make this windows something else than clear white! I think the size will be pretty much the same as the BMB one.

An Oversized Studio Series Megatron ( 33 cm ) is coming out soon to match with this one and the Wei Jiang.
And that's a good news because i have the two G1, the two Masterpiece, the MPP10 & NE01 Megamaster, but nothing to match with the M01 COMMANDER ( like an OS Galvatron...). And nothing to match my LT02.
More of 33cm I think, that Prime have ~30cm tall and Meg oversized look more bigger so maybe 35cm tall for him but where to find it ??

I just got my oversize LS03 Optimus Prime yesterday from eBay last night at 9 PM, much better than LT02 and with a good quality. I would highly recommend you to get the LS03 Prime on either Amazon or eBay. Transforming him into a truck is easy, but transforming him to his robot mode is hard. Just a good challenge and I really enjoy it!
Seriously don't know which KO MPM Prime I want? It's either Legendary Toys, this one or Wei Jiang.

The only thing that bothers me about this is how the shoulder circle things are blue instead of red and the gold trim on the head isn’t symmetrical. Other that that it’s great!

I think i'm good with the LT02. This one is too big, even for Prime. Will be out of scale with most of the other TF toys that I have. For oversized, Weijiang Blackout is perfect and goes well with my other TF figures.

Master piece optimus primes transformation is like leader class optimus prime this is leader class optimus prime2.0
He scales about perfectly with the carbots
mpm3 Bumblebee's scale is almost precisely 1:35
Optimus prime stands at 28 feet, which is 853.44cm. 853.44*0.035=29.87cm
He's pretty much the perfect size
Rendsora's about 3cm too short
And Black Apple's mpm04 has been shown to be about the same size as Commander, which is also the right size

They all scale best with 2.5 inch figures
But then again, 2.5 inch figures rarely look good/have good articulation, so maybe it's better to go with 4 inch figures
Idk if anyone has said this but they can do the orange on the truck because the chest won’t be the right color anymore since it makes the chest on that mold

friend my Optimus Ls03 arrived with a very weak head when he pulled it to the sides I fear it will break. I don't know if that is the case or has a defect. yours is loose at the neck when rotated.

I've seen the official final images of Black Mamba LS-03 that has Red circles on its shoulders, so I believe the Blue circle shoulders are only for the preproduction sample version!!!

Perfect other than having the missing elbow armor, blue shoulder circles and the chest windows should be black

BensKOllectables Optimus Prime's true size is not 28ft. but rather 32ft. tall because there's an image of the end of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen when Optimus Prime is right next to Sam Witwicky and the picture says that in that shot he is 26ft.. Making him shorter than Michael Bay's size of the character. Then there's an image of the vehicle mode that he transforms into being a customized Peterbilt 379 and comparing the front wheel to Optimus Prime's ankle which houses the wheel. The only accurate scale for Optimus Prime is 32ft.. Making the shot of Optimus Prime and Megatron before Prime dies makes sense because they are about the same size.
Jared Fetzer RoTF Megatron is noticeably bigger than Prime, Prime's also 28 feet. Not sure why you got that he wasn't from the size of the trucks wheels considering that the wheels transform and change shape when he transforms.

As much as I love Peterbilt 379 Optimus Prime, TakaraTomy needs to make a remold of the character where he can combine with Masterpiece Movie Jetfire.
There is no MPM Jetfire. If they ever make one it'll be compatible with MPM Optimus for sure.

the mass production of this one corrected the red shoulder. such a shame they didn't add light on the head and other places
He compares well with MPM bumblebee and barricade. The mpm optimus is actually too small for the mpm. He fits with ROTF deluxe class vehicles like Buster Prime. Which the mpm is just a modified upgrade version of. So in reality this figure is a perfect scale. I wish Ben would've did a size comparison with the mpm barricade & bumblebee so you can see what I'm talking about.

Actually, they got the shoulders right. I'm looking at Bay movie 1, and the toy being reviewed got the shoulders right, where the "official", I guess, got the shoulders wrong.
One thing most of the MP styled ones NEVER get right are the forearms. In the movie, the outer forearms show the yellow-to-red fade of the custom paint job. The only one I've seen get that right is the Black Apple one, but good luck finding that now.
The lack of orange isn’t a mistake they did that so that it didn’t go onto the arms

I really hate that they have to upscale every figure these days. I don't want a million huge figures around my apartment and it doesn't make me want it more if it's bigger than the original cause then they'll have to OS EVERY MPM and I definitely don't want that.
I don't buy a lot of toys anymore, so I don't mind a handful of the OS ones.
Yeah, I think the upscaling obsession is kind of out of hand now. I wish they'd just do regular KOs with better paint apps without making every figure stupidly big.

BMB Optimus Prime was perfectly scale with BMB Megatron Tank and Aoyi Mech Megatron.....I have two of them
Next to MP12 lambo, that movie Optimus is pretty much right in scale. I don't think people realize just how big semis are, or how small lambos are.
btw, I'm not saying robut modes would be in scale with each other, just the vehicle modes are, same with MPP10. Volume and mass changes in the cartoons and all that.

Only complaint is the back fenders. Mine broke off cause of how right they were. Other then that its a great figure. Very stiff too. Can barley move mine.
Slightly unscrew them a bit so they're not as tight.

I’m trying to decide between this and the lt02. I kinda like the looks of the ls03 more but the scale of the lt, unless I get the ls06! I’m torn!😊.
I have LT2 and this isn't enough of an improvement for me to sell that one and get this one. If its vehicle mode was in scale with the MPM cars then I would be more tempted, but as stated in the video right now it's too big.

Ehhh. BMB is definitely too big; "Rendsora" (TLK Megs) is supposed to be 30' with previous iterations at 35', while Optimus is 28' (but AoE/TLK Knight Optimus got bumped up to 30', so if Unique Toys Challenger is the same size, then that's cool). That said, Megatron should be a bit bigger (2007, RotF, & DotM) than 2007-DotM Optimus.
EDIT 2023Jul14: maaaaaaaaaaaan, I feel silly. LT02 (and thus MPM4) is way too small compared to MPM3 Bumblebee/LT01/LTS03C Wasp & MPM6 Ironhide. Not to mention the dumb design decisions that result in busted ankles & waist parts. Maybe I should hunt down some variant of the RotF Leader class mold.

Very nice figure but i am still waiting for Weijiang version. I don't know why the shoulders on this figure are blue? Red was the right screen accurate colour and in other reviews of LS-03 the shoulders are red too? Maybe this is a misscolored first production?
Optimus is bigger than 28 I’m pretty sure he’s 32 or 35, in the last knight(different design but still) bumblebee is as tall his leg and thigh, a bit bigger than half I think, probably is the same for 1-3
Well Bumblebee is 16ft tall, so it makes sense he's only a little over half Optimus' height.
I know this is 6 months later but the character models seem to change in height sometimes.
Sometimes Prime is giant and other times he's only a bit taller than his Bots.
which is better? this or the LT02 Transformers optimus prime version? and what is their differences?
I know it's being pedantic but those canisters which sit vertically under the side mirrors? Those aren't gas tanks - they're air filters!
Every time I see you review a Bay-verse Prime you call them gas tanks and it bothers me. I don't even know why it bothers me (it's just a toy, it's not my mistake, not hurting anyone, video is for entertainment purposes not educational/instructional, etc), but it does. So if I could make a small request: could you please refer to them as air filters, or at least a more generic "canisters"?
The toy is great. But mine has a piece put on backwards so it can't transform fully.
I recently purchased this Optimus, it is awesome! I just have a question about releasing his chest panels... I’m so worried that when I’m transforming him that I’ll break it, just seems like there is a lot of flexing in the panels... is there a trick to that or is that what it’s supposed to do?

@@blazuhm I found him on eBay. look up “BMB LS-03” just got to scroll through list. I just checked and there are definitely some out there but this guy is now about $160US definitely gone up in price since I purchased mine.
Thanks for the review because of your review I purchased this toy and I love it. The quality of this toy is great. Big heavy and amazing paint job. $80 usd free shipping is too cheap. I would pay $150 to $200 for it. If I did not watch your review I would have brought the wei jiang version.

Almost the best one if not that big. Better if the same scale as UT Challenger.

They should use the same paint as legendary toys and windows should be black and I’m gonna wait till mpm ironhide will be out so it can scale with mpm or legendary prime
