I showed my sister-in-law & bro your vid on shoe storage branch. Half way through she says to us let's build that! So my bro went out & brought a shiny new table saw. 🤣😅😂 love your humor & vids ✌🏾💚🤙🏾⚡🔥⚡🌏 new subscriber leessggooo.
Mad Love from New Zealand Bro. ✌🏾💯🤘🏾
New table saw! Nice score
Hmm! Must show this to my wife... maybe I'll get a new tablesaw too, or even a tracksaw (I don't have one of them yet)
@@petersnow2919 I must try that with my wife.
Every project my wife suggests I make sure to highlight what new tools I'll need to do the task (if applicable). I don't abuse it, but if I need one and she wants a thing made...
Win-Win
chances are good ur not even gonna see this due to the amount of people that actually comment but im 35 yrs old with stage four cancer (diagnosed feb 2020) , i spent the time i was awake most of 2020 watching woodworking videos , you are one of like 3 youtubers who gave me the passion to wanna try this and more times than not took my mind completely off treatments and the fact i coulda legit went to sleep one night and just not woken up lol , and for that i thank you.
Man that means so much for you to say! My thoughts and prayers are with you Steven 🙌🏻🙌🏻
You're awesome, Dude. Rock on, Steve! Prayers for you.
Prayers for healing Steven.
Wow. There’s a wake-up call for us all complaining about our life. You just reminded me, every day above ground is a good day. Someone else I find easy to watch is Peter Millard’s ‘ten minute workshop’. Good luck my friend.
Steven your story is an inspiration too brother. You are an Overcomer. Prayers of healing and peace to you and your home from Charlotte, NC.
#Godspeed Sir
I remember you showed how to install the drawer slides in your cabinet making video, but when you did it this time it clicked! SO Simple. Great work. Looking forward to the next one.
This is my first video of yours I'm seeing and I have just started working at a cabinet shop about a year ago. It's awesome to see different methods of putting custom cabinets together and then seeing them all come to place. You have definitely gained a new subscriber, and I can't wait to see more of you work! Also, your RUclips family seems to be quite awesome!
This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection ruclips.net/user/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.
This is going to turn out so nice, love it so far. Can't wait for part 2.
Building my first built in cabinets for home office with two work area (desk) between them. I really hope You Tube makes it worth your wild making these videos. I know they take a good amount of time to make. Thank you, i have learned more about wood working as a novice watching yours and videos like yours over the last couple years than i had in the previous ten years on my own. Great videos, funny and intuitive. Keep pumping them out! You da man!!
Love all your videos! I’ve been trying to turn a closet into custom storage for crafting and DIY supplies, but, had no idea where to start..... until now. Thank you for this video, it delivers the help I needed, perfectly!
I like that you have been showing optional ways of building cabinet boxes. I have either used the rabbet/dado or biscuit joint system but recently built my bathroom cabinets with Kreg pocket holes. All of theses are great and efficient ways to build boxes. I appreciate the way that you make the process so that it doesn’t seem like rocket science........and voila, you have cabinets. I will post a couple of pictures to your site to show the pre-finished product and the installed cabinets. Thanks for your dry humour and ease of instruction when it comes to cabinets/furniture.
Finally.. I just finished my very first wood working project thanks to you. I did built in cabinets and light up box shelves next to the fireplace.
your drawer slide bit just changed my life. Never doing side mount again. well at least a few more times because i learn slowly.
I have to agree . Just put a draw in a existing cabinet had to mount wood on both side's , a hassle .
Grandmas neck skin.... you always make me wide eyed at what I think is gonna be said. Live the videos !
Everytime I watch a video by you, I find myself learning alot of stuff. But I also fins myself laughing out loud everytime. You have the perfect combination of humor and seriousity in your videos. I also like your storytelling over dubs. Without them the videos would be quite standard, I guess it's all thanks to them that I like your channel that much. Keep up the good work!!!
Very beautiful! The cupboard is very useful!
GREAT method for installing the backs of the drawer slides. Mind blown!
Awesome work as always. Can’t wait to get to work on my house, I’ve learned so much from your videos.
Without question I have installed my last set of side mount drawer slides. Great design!
I agree, pocket hole joinery is one of my go to’s. Clean, strong, and effective. Great transformation!
Is there a way.of checking what length screws you need with these pocket jigs?
@@traitorouskin7492 yes, there is a chart and I show using Kreg jig joinery in my videos as well. Simple even for beginners. Let me know if you need any help.
It looks great and you explain everything crystal clear. For a complete beginner like me, your vids are the best and very easy to follow. Been watching all your videos at least twice a week. Hope you can also upload "the planning stage". Fan here from the Philippines! All the best!
The project is especially interesting because it is a very practical and useful for a DIYS home project. I could see myself doing this for a space I have upstairs in the loft, just next to the stairs.
You are funny, I enjoy the little moments of humor. Just right!
Great job on the cabinets. A couple things I do with my cabinets: On the face frame, I rabbet the edges so they have more attachment area and adds more strength to the carcass. I also put a decorative piece of wood on the front and rear edges of the shelves, perpendicular to the shelf about 1 1/2 or 2" wide, also rabbeted instead of the banding. This strengthens the shelves and stops them from getting sway-backed from the weight placed on them, you know, that 400 pounds of books that nobody reads. I usually attach my kick plates to the cabinets before installing them, but I like your way better and I will do that in the future. Keep up the good work.
I’ve been watching your channel for sometime now. You have inspired me to start my own channel. It is coming along slowly but I am enjoying the journey. Thank you
Although I may not be able to support you or buy your items .I have deep respect for you as a carpenter.as a disabled person I imagine that when you are doing all this work I am with you helping .I like your mad cap way you open your shows ,and enjoy your intertainment.thanks for all your banter but most of all your outcome it's awesome. Billy from Scotland UK.
Five-star video! Educational, inspiring, entertaining, funny, and when I can't get back to sleep in the middle of the night and have nothing but doomsday thoughts in my head, your voice and these videos bring me peace.
HAHA! Love your one and done, no script, fix it in post method of film making. It makes it feel really personal, and authentic. :)
I have to say that I like your methods more than any other woodworkers' ones.
I've learned a lot from your videos. thanks man!
You're hilarious and you're a great teacher. You also do excellent demonstrations. Thank you.
So many outlets! How beautiful!
Your common practices are so on point. Your shop is always so clean. Have you done a video on your dust collection? If not will you? Please include how you grounded it to prevent static cling.
Jason, love watching you work and your sense of humor just adds to it. My only wish would be that you'd add a little more of the detailed measurements for specific things like the setback for the top shelf and brace you add later. I suck at computer work and do any planning with pencil and paper, maybe a short highlighted inset of these types of things might help others as well as myself.
i'm not even a woodworker.....but this is one of the best channels i'm subscribed to. always enjoy the videos!
You are funny as heck, real, human, and an awesome carpenter. Well done!
The glue-up at the beginning was hilarious! You make the work look so simple.
So, can I just come up there and hang out with you? I enjoy woodworking, bourbon, beer, bullshitting, etc. Honestly enjoy every one of your videos and your personality seems awesome. Love learning from you and getting a chuckle out of every episode!
Beautiful work! I envy your craftsmanship!
THAT BIRCH PLYWOOD IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Bourbon Moth is the best woodworking channel. Great format, super polished and entertaining. Absolutely crushing it. Well done!
@RossMartin and not pretencious!
Fantastic work on this one! Keep it up!
I love the head first method! Always entertaining.
you always deliver, thanks for all the things you do
Awesome tip with the drawer slides. Nice work!
Top job, new subscriber from UK, your boat build was the my first "toe in the water" with your channel and it was a massive hit from this side of the pond, so I am hooked.
Office cabinet construction is slick and very well thought out, nice job and great tool selection. Nice job.
Thanks for the ideas and the technique, Jason. Love it! Two videos to finish one project? Remember, the work swells to fill the time allotted for it. Lol.
Great video, can't wait for the next one to see your favorite painting method.😉
Man... your work is better than excellent, awesome, and fantastic added together!
Great job man. You have great ideas and knows what to do with it. Also, funny and I can see that you enjoy what you do. Thank you
Pete
I agree, pocket hole joinery is one of my go to’s. Clean, strong, and effective
AGREED! Too many people try to “look/sound cool” with their egos saying pocket holes are bad, etc….when in fact they intentionally choose ‘not’ to use them (and cannot justify “why?”) other than they’re bad or I heard they’re bad or “real woodworkers” don’t use garbage lol
LOL! I didn't expect the opening. Good DIY video! I enjoy to watch it
Jason, I really enjoyed your video. Your humor works for me 😉. I'm in the process of getting ready to do a bookshelf/cubby build for a client. I will share some pics with you when finished.
Once again learning while having fun
Besides the Japanese woodworkers,,, you are my favorite woodworker,,, keep on bringing good content,,, thanks
Always happy to help, even when it’s fixing up your office 🤙🏼
Ahhhh. Bourbon Moth video! Tis a great day!
Jesus I absolutely love that prefinished birch that looks amazing espresso with a dark finish.
Exactly the kind of build vid I love.
Fantastic tip for installing the under drawer slides! I have a whole kitchen to redo with old style roller ball in center track slides and fought with leaning into the carcass and trying to level a block in back for the side mount slides I was installing in the kitchen desk. Decided on undermounts for the rest of the kitchen but was not looking forward to putting in the back supports for the slide supports. You’ve made it a no brainer. And just how I feel now that I didn’t think of that . . .
Man this is brilliant, beautiful work as usual!
Amazing job. I would have re-used the can lights inside of the new book shelf by cutting out holes in the book shelf. Amazing work. Thanks for the inspiration.
Could not have been better timing. I just got a request to build something very similar for a friend. Thanks for the video! Love your content.
I love that drawer slide hack!
The “hopping up on to your bench like a Ninja” was pretty slick.
In about 35 years you’ll know why. 😳. Nice build.
I’m a 20 year old who fell in love with wood work since I was about 15. I just found ur channel tonight and I gotta say a hour and a half in my wife is begging me to come to bed 😂I love your work along with ur personality man 👍🏼def just subscribed 🤙🏼
Always an enjoyable watch sir.
Pmsl you are really a cool character, I love the videos just for the entertainment whilst learning a little about woodworking. No seriously bud, love the content, refreshing and modern how you present it, keep them vids rolling
I'm envious of the amount of outlets you have in that room!
i've been watching your videos for a while now but your dead stare into the camera during glue up reminded me to subscribe
"Build cabinets the Easy Way" *Lifts entire GD cabinets overhead* makes sense. Love your videos man!
Bottom mount drawer slides 🤯 so easy!!
Where was this video a week ago when I needed it, 😝😝😝
Just wow!!! I am switching to under mount slides from now on....also, nice to see these vids with a bit of humour, and that's coming from an Englishman!
You're a good dude, dude.
I just received my woodpecker shelf pin jig can’t wait to use it
Mad skills, rock & roll music and humor! These other youtube channels need to take lessons! SUBSCRIBED!
You’re AWESOME! Thank you for sharing.
Love your content and commentary! Keep it up!
Awesome work Jason! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Thanks Jason. Informative and enjoyable... I believe I hear some ply calling my name.
im willing to watch all of the ads, i love you man
I know you do mostly cabinets. I was wondering if you would do a video with a flip top cabinet or mobile cart for a drill and a sander? Or a sander and a grinder. I just to see how you make one because you make great videos. They are funny, useful and just nice to follow. Great JOB!!
You make this process look so easy. Then I head out to my garage shop to build something much smaller and simpler, aaaaand... well, you can imagine.
I enjoy your project building very informative and understandable
I own a custom cabinet shop. As an amateur cabinet maker (just meaning you don't make your living building cabinets) you did a good job. Not everything is as efficient as it could be, but that's to be expected when you aren't doing it day in and day out. Overall you did a good job. But I'll give credit where credit is due. I have never thought of using a vertical back plate and tracing from the face frame.... I have only seen it done on nailers that were brought down to be flush with the bottom of the drawer opening.
That is going to be standard practice for me whenever putting in soft close drawers into existing cabinets. Just taking a 6" long, 4" wide 3/4" thick scrap, and tracing it from the face frame, attaching a back plate, and then tacking it on with a few nails into the back of the cabinet. So simple. I can't not believe I have done hundreds of cabinets without thinking of that
Great looking cabinets~! I really like your process~!
I work in a cabinet shop, and yes, all of our face frames are pocket hole joined.
Oh and a suction crane loaded CNC makes quick work cutting out our gables complete with datos and rabbets, but slightly out of the average person’s price range.
BEST part of the video the block of wood as your wallet. You freakin kill me Bud!! Oh, & you build some really cool stuff on occasion!! Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!
Thank you for sharing your expertise
Just watched you on TOH! Awesome man. Been watching for a while now and you deserve it! Great job!!🎉🎉
nice job, looks great!!
Finallly, someone shows us what they do after spreading the glue with their finger!
I wish I had that many outlets in my house! I'm truly jealous.
Nice work brother ! Love all your cool tools makes life much easier 😎
당신은 정말 재미있는 천재 입니다. 당신 컨텐츠가 매일 기다려 집니다. 감사합니다
Steve. I also have stage 4. Prostate cancer. I watch BM videos and renewed my hobby if building in wood. He’s the best and fun to watch. Sending prayers, Talk to God and listen to your doctors. The science is progressing and learn your options with your own research. New cures are coming. Keep the faith and fight to stay positive.
lmfao im sure im not the only one that reach for the face frame when it was falling!! great work as always brotha!!
I was hoping lol that gate is epic! Love that birch wow
Kinda flippin’ brilliant. I’ll be building an apartment, bathroom and office in my new shop building....I just found my muse!
Looks amazing. I'm always blown away at how you make everything seem so easy. Every cut being perfectly straight, everything lines up the way it's supposed to. Seems almost impossible sometimes.
Also, do the drawer slides have some adjustment on depth? Or are they a specific size and you design the cabinet around the slide depth?
Been awhile brother! Been busy as hell but still loving your content!
Great as always!!
Love you videos! Keep up the good work.
