The photo in the thumbnail... When you hug people, you can reach around and hug yourself as well. Now that’s talent.
Thank you, Alex, this is great! Suggestion: it would be really helpful if you could give some idea of how long this takes to do.
Please list tools you use too. Esp bosch laser.
Just a tip, when using painters tape don't press so hard, go get clear caulking and put a very light amount on your line, it stops bleeding and it gives an exact edge and you immediately pull the tape while it's wet, you will not get better lines, you'll thank me later.. nice build, I'm working on another piece and I'm jealous of your tools and garage I'm working with chop and table saw only 😩 but I've done it before...
With the editing, commentary/writing, and your personality, it makes it easy to say that I’ve added another channel to my regular watching list. There’s a subtle meticulousness in both your woodworking and your video creation. I appreciate you, keep up the good work!
Your workshop is off the chart! Wow! So organized! So complete! So beautiful!
thanks, I've spent a lot of time on it for sure
This is really cool. It's basically what I have been thinking about for my family room. I have one big massive wall that I want to do built ins to house all of our dvds and games (we have a huge collection of old school consoles), books and board games. Thanks, Brad!
Just completed my first ever woodwork build - a desk for my home office, completley using your vids. Thank you heaps.
So good to see wood workers getting back in to it after covid hit and sky rocket wood prices. Great work!!! The the realness you bring to the channel when you make mistakes. Most won’t let you know that.
OMGGGGGGGG I HAVEN’T WATCHED SPACE BALLS IN AGES😂😂😂GREAT WORK
I normally don't subscribe to videos but will be watching many more of yours. Thanks for taking the time to explain some of the challenges and how to fix them.
Really great build and you’ve made it simple and fun to follow.
Great timing! I am planning to build a built-in office this week. Thank you for the great tips! ☺️
You bet!
Great project, Brad~! Sure beats the "odds & ends" furniture that it replaced.
Now THAT's a classic FTBT build video!
Back in the saddle!
Awesome project as always, Brad! Keep up the awesome work man!
Great build! I want to see the shelves again with the LEGOs and origami!!
Your Type-A energy is everything haha. Love the labeling and everything you do, it's genius!
Great work - I’m a fan of the built-in.
Your animations are getting a lot better!
My hiring got a lot better. Chris our editor is awesome!
@@Fixthisbuildthat hahaha Well Done Chris!
Wow!!!! an 'Offspring' reference!! My favorite band! Awesome video, as always.
Thanks!
13:11 Bonus Lego pieces.
Nice build. Enjoyable video. Thanks for posting.
hahaha, an incomplete set out there somewhere!
the edits on your videos have gotten so much better over time! really freakin great, m'dude!
Thanks! Our new editor Chris has really taken them to the next level
Man, super jelly of homeboy's shop!
That was a big job. Very nicely done.
Hola 🖐 and a very Happy New Year to you and yours!! 🎉🍾🎆 Super awesome build, looking to do something similar in the grandkids room. Thanks for the tips, they should help my project come together a little better. All the best for 2022!!!
Wow... the built-in bookcase looks awesome! Keep up the great work
Thx!
love the Offspring ref. Thanks for another great Vid.
Ludicrous speed!
That is a thing of pure beauty and genius. I'm plotting something a bit similar you just gave me ideas and inspiration thanks 🥰
That desk and bookcase system turned out great. Definitely a great place to build Lego for your son.
Thank you!
“Didn’t kill myself. That’s a plus.” That’s what I say to myself each night as I’m getting in bed.
😂 😂 No doubt
Friend...this is 2yrs old...are you alright 😂😅
@@dontatmeev3r I'm 2 years late
Quoting the Offspring in a building video, awesome!
This bookcase is awesome!
Nice build Brad. Like the Mailman reference.. Had season tickets for the Jazz during Stockton to Malone era!
Looks very nice.
Very cool sir. I'm sure your son will love it. BTW my wife says that quick montages are my specialty.
🙈😂
I like the ludicrous speed!
Great video. You are a great teacher, 2 thumbs up
Just what I was looking for. It is perfect for my own room
Awesome!
Thanks for the great video 👍
You're welcome!
Beautiful work Brad. Exactly what I need to do in our junk room/ toy room/study.
What type of ply did you use for the shelves? Would MDF be a good alternative?
Sticky notes for labeling. Great idea!
Was looking for ideas and your video was aVery very helpful video. Thank you from start to finish was great.
I've never seen bondo used in woodworking before. Very creative solution.
Very nice build and the colour is perfectly chosen👌🤘
We love that gray
100% need to post it with the lego and origami on it haha. Love seeing them actually in use
I'll do a post when he fills it up 👍
That Thumbnail😂 stretch Armstrong ain’t got nothing on you Brad.
It was Chris' (our editor) idea. So good 😂😂
@@Fixthisbuildthat Agreed.
Take note potential Content Creators, Brad here perfectly illustrates the, "it factor" for making a living doing this. From his humble and willingness to point out the mistakes he makes during his projects, to making fun of himself on his poor previous prepwork while painting his son's room, he show's a genuine honest and humble trait that many will connect with. This will draw people to his video's who might not otherwise be interested in wood work. Great channel!
That long arm thumbnail had me 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
😜🤷♂️
Wow! Bet your boy loves it.
Way better than my old one. Perfect height
the mini workout you threw in was hilarious lol
Looks awesome! Great work!
Appreciate it!
Love the Offspring reference
I learned a lot. Thanks!
Fantastic work, Brad! It looks like a totally new place! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks, bud!
WoW! So impressive!!!
What paint sprayer did you use? I don’t see it listed under tools in the description.
And you get a thumbs up for the Offspring reference and one more for Mr. Morgan👍👍
Very nice job thank you for shared
Wow an awesome job
Great project!!! I know you probably know this but they make a pocket hole plug.
Nice work.
Omg! “Gotta move quickly because bondo dries really quickly”…. YEAH! Because you used like 5X as much hardener! I saw that and i was like thats gonna dry before he even gets it applied lol. Great video as usual, your channel is amazing and im a FanBoi lol
That’s so cool seriously
Another great project my man!! I’ll be doing something similar in my spare bedroom at some point down the road!!
Thanks, Lou!
Going to try this for our Legos. Check back with me in 19 years...LOL
How did you secure the shelves to the wall? If I missed that step will you include the time stamp. Thx Great video
Terrific job on that bookcase Brad! I like watching you do that work because it reminds not to ever do that myself! Thanks....... 👍😉😂
Glad to take the pain for you, Steve 😀
Very nice build. Another option for the pocket holes is to use plugs. You can buy them or get the Kreg pocket hole plug jig. Then you don't have as much Bondo or filler to use. Oh and I have the same flexio sprayer. I've had problems with some paints not spraying well. Did you have to thin it? Also what paint was it?
Nice Offspring shout out!
GREAT IDEA WITH THE PAINT BOOTH. IVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND A SPOT TO SET UP ONE. THANKS BRAD
Make sure to crack the door and ventilate outside 👍
love this! the only thing i may change is to either round or cut 45 degree angles on the corners of the desk for myself. doing this in my daughters playroom
Great video! I’m getting ready to build some built in shelving. I have questions. Why don’t you attach the bottom shelf flush with the end? How did you attach the shelves to the base? Otherwise I feel like I’m totally ready to tackle this project! Thank you.
Great build, I might try it but with dadoes (using a router and a track) for the shelves instead of pocket holes, so I don't have to deal with all the hole filling plus it might support more weight.
Yep, I considered it but don't have a jig or track for the dados and assembly of all the shelves at once seemed too daunting by myself
Very nice job!!
Thx!
Incredible build. What are you using to connect your dust collection to the power tools? It looks super clean.
Wish I could give an extra thumbs up for the Offspring and SpaceBalls.
Being a lego and origami fan myself, I think you should show it with his stuff on display.
Nice job bro
Amazing! Thanks for sharing! :)
Brad, Brad, Brad!!! The freakin coolest builds. All I'm gonna say!! Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!
Thanks, brother!
Space Balls image on the thumbnail and an Offspring reference within 1:30?.....Subbed.
Insane
Awesome build! If you were to make it without the desk would you have removed the carpet? Doing something similar but with a murphy bed and trying to determine if removing the carpet where the built-ins and bed cabinets are sitting is the way to go.
Nice project
Thanks!
Absolutely envious of your miter saw dust collection. In this video I saw no dust when you used the saw. Do you have plans for this install, and what saw do you recommend for precision AND dust collection? Thanks!
Looks great. Would have loved to have seen what it looked like after a month of use. LEGO’s for the win ;)
Ok, the outlet in the plywood in the beginning!!??? lol love it!
😜
@@Fixthisbuildthat Am I the only one to see that???
LOL… Nope. This is how I envisioned the script *actually* was supposed to go:
Plan A: no backs on the bookcases. “Well 🤬, the walls aren’t straight!”
But I’m too suave to say this wasn’t in the contingency all along. Hmmm… I’ll make it a ‘teaching moment’ yeah, yeah!
Plan B (a.k.a., The Teaching Moment): the cases will have backs, painted to match the already painted walls, which will also hide the not-straight walls behind the cases, but not next to the cases.
Plan B, subparagraph 2: And, oh, by the way, you need to cut another hole in the *side* if you want power to the desk.
(Let’s hope no one notices they have to cut yet another hole in the desk itself if they want the power actually on TOP of the desk!) 🤣
👍🏻
This is epic!!
Thanks!
I like a lot your job
Good idea for my home office
It would be a great addition
I love it I have a space I wanted to have something similar to this now I can see what it would look like ahead.. also what paint sprayer did you use
Thanks!
Appreciate the SuperThanks, Carlos!
So nice, awesome job! Would you mind sharing what grit sandpaper you used and the length of your screws for the pocket holes? Thanks so much!
I didn't know you were in Tennessee too.
Congrats on the channel, about to hit 100 mil views, nice!
As soon as I finish building my space ship, I’ll take on a simple project like this. Haha
😂 😂
I liked the wall outlet in the plywood 🤣
Great job matey looks amazing 👍 Unfortunately for me to build this in the UK because of the price of lumber it would cost over £600 about $800 and that's from a lumber yard, would be more from a DIY store. Hopefully, the process will start to come down soon as I have a few builds to do and I have just added this one to the list.
Yeah, it's a lot of wood. But prices are dropping here
Looks great, Brad. Love the bearded emoji. Take care.
Bill
Thanks, Bill! 🧔
For the bases of the bookshelves, do you secure those to the studs or do you just let the weight of the bookshelves hold them in place? Are the screws that are holding the bookshelves to wall and the weight of them enough to hold the base in place?
Awesome job!! Did you consider using pegs for the book shelves for adjustable height shelves?
