“Even my sons black” that’s it. That’s the comment that killed me. You’re a good dude ❤️
How can the son be black if both parents are white? Do the parents need to have black ancestors so the gene can manifest? IS the gene recessive, meaning it has a 25% chance to manifest? We learned about the Punnett Square a long time ago but I still couldn't figure out how it works. Who was the black ancestor?

Your all wrong he called Pete & had him painted.... LOL 😂
@@repapeti98 Are there really people this stupid? It does not seem possible.
Awesome book that gives you step-by-step photos ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt and directions to make every day project. I can see myself making a few of these projects and giving them as housewarming and holiday gifts!
"Even my son's black." LOL I love this channel. Top-notch quality work and unapologetic every-man/woman humor. Great work; the office space looks fantastic. I'm sure you've got a very happy wife on your hands at the moment, that is until you inevitably do something stupid later on down the road.
Wait til she says...
"Jason !! The floor joists are squeaking !!"
That'll be another video... 🙄😂
What a shame.
And a waste.
“Every-man/woman” Way to be a giant fack it
"Even my son's black" ... I'm dead! So good man, I love how the office came out! Gave me so many good ideas
I was going to bash you for your comment but yes he did say it in the video 22:52
"The Foreman" is cute as hell!
Lmao my favorite joke he’s made
@@testticklehead Can't bash me for a direct quote! 🤣 I love the moth man don't get me wrong.
I haven't come across a carpenter that likes paint prep and painting.
I started painting back in 77 as 14 year old.
To us painters the prep and Finnish are both highly enjoyable .
Happy painter makes a beautiful paint job.
On the other end of the spectrum we are the last workmen the client's deal with.
I had a client that had a ideal of some antique Finnish on her stunning kitchen island. She had no pics of what she wanted just the look in her minds eye.
When she came back a few days later when i called her.
She walked in looked it over and started crying.
All i can say is my heart just sunk i ruined her stunning island.
Then she said it was exactly what she wanted and i got the biggest hug i ever got from a client!
Storage is GOLD. Never turn down an opportunity to add more storage, ESPECIALLY beautiful, black storage.
Bro don’t ever change !! You channel is gunna hit in the millions !! Mark my words!! Or comment ! 😂
Wonderful that you adopted. Good man
"Yes, it'll cost you a bit more money . . ." A bit more? I got a quote for painting kitchen cabinets-$12,000. I ended up inviting a buddy over and for the cost of dinner and some paint, we got them painted.
Bro seriously you are freaking awesome thank you so much for being nice and actually giving us tutorials and crap like that.
My man, beautiful buuild.
I watched all 25 minutes non stop and you didnt try to sell me anything with an annoying sponsor..this was awesome, subscribed!
I almost spit out my coffee when you said painting the cabinets was only $1800.
I paid that much for the painting of my entire 2,000 sq ft house… if I was in your shoes and I had the money to do so and it was apart of my career I would absolutely pay for it too! Beautiful office man your wife is a blessed woman !!
Who you hiring? I can't even get my living room painted for $1800.
I postponed my built-in project for this video so I could learn your super easy secret to painting 😂😂
Best painting trick in the book! 😂 I postponed my built-in project due to lumber prices. Planned on a 15' long 10' high built-in wardrobe across the bedroom, but I think I would go bankrupt if I built it right now.
@@death2squishy the prices won't go down. buy the wood and build the thing. Just make sure it's what you really want and plan on never changing it. Then you won't feel bad about the cost.
@@death2squishy that hits extra hard right now. My scrap lumber pile is looking extra saucy.
@@death2squishy Hi, query from a UK person if that's OK? What's up with lumber prices over there. Is it a Covid thing? Pretty much normal over here.
@@PurpleTT99 Covid: Increased demand for lumber from people stuck at home who decided to work on projects, increased demand from people boarding up stores and shops due to riots. Decreased supply due to covid restrictions at plants and shutdown of Canadian border combined with a wet winter on the east coast effecting ability to procure trees. Now manufacturers get almost double the price for products. If they kill themselves to ramp up production they will turn a temporary profit until the market levels out or they can stay where they are and ride it out.
Nothing is more satasfying than matching your brand new office cabinets to your sons skin tone.
i enjoyed that moment of relishing the clean empty room with you. It's as if you wish you could stop time. But alas, here comes your son's trucks to mark their territory.
It's so difficult to get "eclectic" style right. Your wife seems to like things that are less traditional, but she makes them work together in the most beautiful way! Your skill with wood, her artistic sense of style... A beautiful thing.
I was just flipping the video channel saw this man I enjoy it , your words even my son is black wow you are a good person God bless you Jason.
If you taught a virtual class I would enroll. You’re a great teacher, your voice is soothing and you seem like a genuinely cool dude. I’m currently building some built in base cabinets for an attic remodel. Your videos are right on time! Thank you from a novice lady woodworker in NJ
You are a lunatic no long sleeves and insulation lol. Cheers!
You won the RUclips video of the year!!! “Even my son is black” popped my eyes 👀 opened as I was watching this while falling asleep. So your “foreman” is your son and not the neighbor’s son!?! No wonder I see the something special in you. Not only you’re talented, skilled with great projects and content, you’re actually a great man to love a child because he deserves a great father. Blessings to you!!! May the Lord bless your family all the days of your lives !!!
I was sent to you 6 days ago and subed because of the great show even thou I thought the falling down and jumping was kind of dumb after binge watching its just very detracting from the best show of its kind God bless.
Turned out great m'man! Minor pitch for the cabinet wall - Knock those middle cabinet doors off, expose that pre-finished ply and make the middle section a baller alcohol collection!
When you first put the gate up I thought "That looks horrible!"....when you completed the office I thought "That gate looks incredible!" Nice job!
I thought the same thing. My wife does that to me at times oh my the way I just bought this can you install it here or there then when I'm done it's like ok ya it looks good
nah it still looks horrible, just a bit less messy because they guy mounted it properly, i'm glad i don't have a wife lmao
@@RickieBeubie ixnay on the gate
Its Martin from Cornwall - England. Man these videos are amaizing, really good sense of humour and i have to agree, the best woodwork channel on youtube. Keep them coming please.
Im going to be honest. I almost didn't click on this video because there is probably nothing less entertaining than a guy making cabinets.. lol. I was definitely surprised. Very entertaining... Great video, and the cabinets look great.
Jason, please mark the episodes with "1 "2 "3 and, so on for me to know what's comes next!. Yes the office came out really great and classy thanks.
Ultimate interior designer, furniture maker.what a perfection.inbetween humers too.i watch every detailing.good keep it up .remarkable thing is ,he is enjoying even though this work is enegry consuming and tough too
Your template for trimming the white-oak wall-length desktop was brilliant; idea stolen! Congrats on a beautiful build.
Hey, I know this doesn't seem like a big deal to you, but thanks to your channel, I figured out how to fix my chest-of-drawers. The door to the left cabinet sat on the floor next to it for literally two years. it took me basically an hour of active work to fix. Sanding, glue, clamps, screws. Duh. Anyway, thanks for that.
Amongst all the magical moments throughout this video, the fact that you say Flippin’ makes me chuckle the most ♥️
1:54 I am Japanese and I am enjoying your videos from Tokyo, Japan. You can keep saying Japaneasy.
The hole that you made in the floor joist made me go back to my architecture reference material and it said that holes are permitted in joists as long as the follow 2 rules:
1) It must be at least 2 inches (minimum) from the edge of the joist and
2) the max diameter is 1/3 of the joist depth.
In your case, since you said you did a 4" diameter hole for the light, it looks like you went over the max of 1/3 of the depth since it looks like you have 2x8 (nominal) joists which would mean max opening should have been 2-1/2" max.
You should definitely teach the foreman how to sand then hire him for all the sanding projects!
He will work for candy.
Lol I had the same exact thought. Didn’t realize you had it first
I thing about this with my 9 year old but he loses focus so easily lol
@@gregorysmith6838 maybe 10 is the magic number. It is funny to think how we can be opposites from our parents when we are younger. My dad is an auto mechanic, I showed 0 interest in that. Never wanted to be a car mechanic, still dunno crap about cars. So anyway I’m an industrial mechanic for factory equipment. Completely different hahaha
Structurally and paint-wise, it looks great. But after watching so many "desk setup" videos from computer geeks on RUclips, I'd say you need to add several LED light strips to illuminate things better in there so it will be inviting and brighter on gloomy days and nights. Your cabinets in the in-wall alcove could use some internal LEDs to make it brighter in there. You could also add an LED strip under the window sill above the desk to brighten that area up as well.
Even though "Blum" looks like it should rhyme with ""sum" or lum," they told me they pronounce it like "bloom." Thumbs up on your video. A joy to watch, mon ami.
Black on Black on Black is DOPE!! Icing on the cake, White Oak top & rusted gate!! Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!
Even my son is black.... love this channel even more! Love you Jay!!
Everything I needed to know about electric work I learned from Bourbon Moth. Thanks for the beautiful video!
🤣🤣
Your channel is an excellent example of how to do woodworking right! Well done. Regarding the Black Finish, I suggest that there are 1 billion colors in the world and black is wonderful, but consider a black that leans to one hue or anther. A black toward burgundy is rich, a black toward green can be rich with plant materials. Remember, black rarely exists in nature if you look close! Fun stuff
Love your presentation style and your quirky sense of humour.
Congrats on hitting 500k man!
1.09 million now! Jason is a talented woodworker
The fantasy at the end there was gold.
Hi @Bourbon Moth Woodworking . Extremely helpful video. Thanks a lot.
I think it would be awsome if you invite Pete to make a video of how HE does this particular paint job.
Looks great. Nobody can have too much storage.
Lemon Squeasey. It gets a positive reaction from everyone everytime.
Awesome job! You should get the foreman a new toy! A sander! Spread the love of sanding. Thanks for sharing.
"Even my son's black" hahahah great sense of humor those are beautiful dude desk top was seamless.. thanks for another great video love it
I enjoy your videos. Your work is top notch. I am an electrician... but I think my calling was to be a wood worker!
as an electrician from denmark i always find it funny how you guys in america do you electrical installation
Outstanding. Can't remember I just straight up watched an hour of content in one go (part 1 and 2). Don't know if I can do this, but watching this gives me some impetus to maybe give it go. Thanks.
Dude you make me jealous every time I watch your videos...awesome job.
13:35 If the foreman is smiling, the job is done correctly.
Thank you for mentioning the materials cost. That is helpful and useful information that is generally not stated in other videos. As a Disabled Veteran living on a fixed-income, knowing the approximate costs of projects is helpful to me. Oh, I think your son needs to help you in future projects. He was an excellent foreman.
“Son ram his truck in the new paint”. I can relate. Love the videos man.
The black really sets off that white oak like crazy 👌👌👌
Das Büro ist wirklich super schick geworden 👍
First class from beginning to end.Beautiful result with admirable attention to detail. You have become one of my favorite utubers.
I have your back dude
I do the same on my house when I stall light 💡 Jajaj
Nice work 👍
Wow, an office I could work in, lucky wife, very well done!
Prachtig gedaan top job geweldig 🤩 Groetjes uit Holland 👋🏼👍🌷🌷🌷
There is no attempt to get what i need from your vids quickly, and flee. I leave them on from start to finish. I don't want to miss your painting tip, the foreman showing up, the jokes, the face-making....
oh, and the woodworking.
Best woodworking channel, hands down. Your humour and self deprecating style just works. The only woodworking channel I watch now.
I use a large penny washer run along the wall with a pencil in the hole, you get a perfect template quick. Love this build.
I'm mad at how easy and perfect that sounds!
I was so worried you were just going to cover up those lights and leave it. What a relief.
Jason, I like how you tempt fate by drilling close to the socket cable runs... 😂
That gate thingy is ghastly... but if Mrs. Moth likes it, who am I to disagree... 🙄😏
The light fitting holes in the joists were epic... I expect to see a thread in Contractor Talk about that little gem.. 🤗
From the Emerald Isle
😎👍☘️🍺
You did the best job I love it 👍👍👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
you get some hypnotism to make youreslf enjoy sanding, it worked for that guy in Office Space
Dude, you are amazing. My partner and myself are renovating our kitchen and we made a little ritual from watching your videos to get motivated 🤗
This is gonna sound weird, so prepare yourself. I look forward to your videos and those of Laura Kampf more than almost all of the stuff on TV and the various streaming services. Thanks for keeping my mind active and figuring out the various aspects of my wood working project.
That's not weird at all, unless I'm weird too?
What a nice looking cabinet. I'm usually not fond of black furniture but yours has a little something that I like. GJJ (Good Job Jason)...
I love sanding! Hate the dust... but love the sanding!
I like the black on black color scheme. Amazing video series... thank you Jason!
You did a fine job with your electrical work.
Excellent job as per usual. Tell your wife the wall gate is definitely the magic touch! Love it!
Outstanding vision and Craftsmanship!!
I really like the old rusty birdcage!!
DAM! that's beautiful, you're a good craftsman.
Realize I just briefly met you at the makers meet up. Really appreciate your videos. I'm building out a Van right now and dang you've been great!!!
I'm not a carpenter but I recently completed a full kitchen rebuild. Wished I'd subscribed here before I started undertaking that job. I tell everyone I've gone for the rustic, distressed look. If you tell people it's meant to look that bad they accept it. . . .I hope.
:)
Love your videos, your sense of humor kills me. I need to build some cabinets in a corner, do you have any videos that aren't on a straight wall?
I really like the black.
Stunning. Love it!
I wish i knew this tip about template before i cut my table top today... thank you! Pined it
Absolutely beautiful! And your wife’s gate find was the perfect accent - simple, yet striking. This will be a great workspace. It will get messy at times, and the finishes won’t stay perfect, but that will just mean it’s become a part of your home. Awesome job, Jason. 😊
Gracias amigo i'm building a tiny house and your videos are really helpful, I'm building my cabinets my myself and it's not difficult,
also you d you did a great job on the editing chingón 👍
These videos make me want to build something spectacular!!! Amazing!!
I'm building a 20' library wall with cabinets below and bookshelves above. I got some great tips from your other videos that have helped me along. I was super excited in your last video as you talked about this cool trick to make the painting easy which was fantastic and timely since i'm approaching the painting step with my project. "Can't wait for the next video going to be so helpful!!!" I thought. Well thanks for nothing for that tip! haha I did actually bid out the job and it was going to be $2500-3000 . This falls into the 'worth it to do it myself' category so I"ll take your tips of stapling plastic to the ceiling from other video and use it now. Thanks for sharing your videos are informative and entertaining. I really appreciate your work.
Do you have a countertop of some sort on top of the cabinets? I’m building 14ft cabinets/bookshelves soon. How’d yours go?
One of the most satisfying videos I've watched in a while
Your foreman is adorable. I love the cabinets as well. Great job. Two thumbs up, Jason.
I really enjoy your series mate, you should be on TV
Turned out awesome man!!! Kids ramming trucks into the finished project I understand that! I got 8 that follow me around but hey we’re bringing up the next generation of builders! Awesome seeing your son floating around and checking out the work!
I learned a lot and even smiled. thanks
"Even my son's black!" hahaha I love it man. You're one of my very favorites.
Got my Bourbon Moth Tee Shirt Today! The fit and quality is legit. Keep making great videos!
You are amazing and very funny. I enjoy your work very much.
Class Jason love the black great to see something different than white on white
I did enjoy this video and it was funny too. Beautiful job dude. Greetings from Italy...
The gate for hanging art that's from a very creative mind.Love the videos.I'm subscribing for more content.Thank you.God bless the family.Amen
I'm going to have to get some of those drawer face clamps! 😱
If I had your awesome shop... oooh the possibilities. Awesome build. really enjoyed the video
Best part of this build, we've been watching it come together for literal months through a bunch of different videos. And we all had no idea lol
