Awesome book that gives you step-by-step photos ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt and directions to make every day project. I can see myself making a few of these projects and giving them as housewarming and holiday gifts!
Just found you and this is the 3rd video I’ve seen and I’ve already learned so much in 2 videos. That’s amazing to me. I’m a 62 year old female and me and my Dad always talked about doing woodwork when we retired. Unfortunately, my Dad died but I decided to give it a try so what I’ve learned from you already is a tremendous help. Thank you so much for the education. I need it to play with my new tools and machines…. Lol. Can’t wait! 😁😁
You two do the best collabs on RUclips. With Keith Johnson and Bourbon Moth, you know you're getting two completely different videos and two different takes on everything. Which I like. I say you make it official for future team ups. I say we call this union:..................................wait for it.............................Bourbon Johnson!
Yeah I love the Forman, setting a good example for other future Forman everywhere. Question how are you accessing the upper shelves, a library ladder perhaps?
Came here to ask the exact same question. I would be interested in seeing him build and install a library ladder. Not the kind of thing we normally see him build.
The clamping operation for adding the strip to the top is a good place for clamping cauls - they spread out the clamping force. The top is relatively flexible along is length, and all those clamps are point sources, requiring a clamp almost every inch. When you space the clamp away, the force spreads out in 90 degrees, imagine a triangle with its point facing up where clamp hits the caul and the force radiating downward to base of that triangle. The taller the caul the wider the even pressure and fewer clamps needed, a 2” caul would put clamps 3” apart, a 4” about 5.75” apart. In this case it’s not totally about using fewer clamps, it’s about keeping it even and not introducing undulations across the edge. It’s easy to put too much pressure on the clamps to close the spaces between. If you wanted to be super precise, you can mark your cauls with triangles, and if you put a clamp at each upper point you will have the same pressure along the entire joint.
Stacking duplicate pieces is a sign of a good craftsman. When ever I build drawer boxes I always stack them and make sure they're all the same dimensions and square. Its very pleasing to me!
Where to begin.......Well my 6 year old daughter and I LOVE your channel. I am a very newbie to woodworking and wish to tackle projects around the house like you demonstrate. Thanks so much for all the content and presentation. Thanks for knowledge sharing and helping me aspire to be a better woodworker with which I can share preciious time with my daughter. Keep up the GREAT work.
I typically watch your videos on Saturday morning while drinking my coffee, my kids started referring to it as my version of Saturday morning cartoons! As always, a joy to watch, and I love the Foreman making regular appearances!
WOW! Most excellent! this helps me out so much in a scaled down version that we would like . Great video and very much appreciate all you do and share.
Maybe build a wooden ladder with precise measurements to land properly on some "receiver" pieces permanently affixed on the upper units on a safe angle. When not in use, it could hang flat on the side wall to the left of the windows using nautical-looking (as a nod to the 5-day boat build) brass hooks. Oh and green felt.
Wow. The 2 of you are one heck of a team. I would kill for those bookcases. Wouldn't be able to reach 80% of them, but I certainly would be able to fill them, one way or another. Quality workmanship from 2 very talented guys. Funny as hell too. Boys will be boys. Well done.
With the upper cabinets, I'd have slid the one into the middle like you did, but then slid it to the left or right. Then repeat sliding the second one the other way, leaving the middle upper section empty. This then would have left space for you to escape from the apex. Then slide the middle cabinet in when everything else was in place. This is all hindsight and from an outside view though. Also what on earth is going on those top shelves? Will this be like a Grand Library wall?
Hello Moth man! I don't socialize much on these platforms, but I must share that I am a massive fan of yours. This video intro had me laughing for almost twenty minutes. I have been following you for a few years and have even referenced your channel in several of my class papers on social learning. I wish I were able to join your Patreon, but all I can offer at this time is a massive thumbs up and fist pump. Your videos are the most entertaining and educational videos I have found online. Keep up the good work!
Nice but was there a reason why you just couldn't move/lift the upper cabinets sideways when they were up on top? Seems easier to lift them all up in the center, then move first to the right, second to the left and install the center cabinet last? (or use the exposed truss as lifting point and winch it up lol)
I can believe how nice you are towards your labor. You are such a nice person, despite Keith constantly screwing up . I usually like to slap my labor if they dont comply. What do you do?
That was well put together, and well planned. For what it’s worth I had to subscribe. Looking forward to everything else you have in the past and the future Builds.
The look on your face when that clamp jumps up is literally my favorite moment on all of your videos ever. Keith's clip is even better. Glad you survived.
Holy Crap!!! What an awesome shelving unit! I would LOVE one of those, ,maybe not as high, but similar. . lol. . We have enough books to fill it too~ :) GREAT JOB you guys!!
If you put in a 2 way mirror over that TV section you can essentially hide your TV. Will never be visible until you turn the TV on. Got one set up like that at my place. Its a pretty cool effect
Incredible work You 2. Some Oregonians are not stoked about folks from SoCal moving to your Amazing state, but my wife and I are very soon. I’m not able to build cabinetry like you & I’d love a library wall in my office built in a farmhouse style of our home with Bourbon Moth and Keith’s name on it!
Remove the rubber feet from your clamps? Put them on backwards! Works fantastic, because as the clamp starts to slip, it grabs it deeper instead of letting go!
Beautiful great project! Wow. I’m very happy you and Keith didn’t get hurt. Very impressive but please please show us how you put it to good use. Other wise it a huge cost for the material and as my wife would say, how the heck am I going to dust it. Also, you owe Keith a big big favor and his choice of the best meal around. Greg video.
Dude, I got my Knapp and Vogt under mount drawer slides in pretty easily. Nothing wrong with them. Not sure why you need the blum brand. The blum back is what I used though. Ordered them from Jasper Industrial supply in Jasper Indiana.
Pretty please.... can we please get a shot of the painters face when he sees the built in :)

You just need a shot of dramatically looking up while the monolith music from "2001: A Space Odyssey" plays.
Wow! Love it….what a friend 🙌🏼

This is one of the best video's that you have done love it!
Most excellent. Your videos bring smiles.

He does have a library ladder build for his wife’s office.
@@johnlee7085 Ohh I must have missed that one. Thanks for the heads up.

oops. I just commented and asked the same question, for which I'm sure I'll be ridiculed...🙄
And now we see the motivation behind the clamp storage project and buying all those extra clamps!
Glad you two were properly supervised on this one. We hadn't seen the foreman in way too long
I'm impressed. Like, seriously impressed. In under a week, no less.
My two favorite RUclips Woodworkers in the same video! I love it when you guys collaborate!
Stacking duplicate pieces is a sign of a good craftsman. When ever I build drawer boxes I always stack them and make sure they're all the same dimensions and square. Its very pleasing to me!
Mr. Slim for the Win on Day 4!
Great channel. Thanks
love the humor m8...tnx for sharing. cheers from Holland

Wow! What an office/mancave!
Extraordinary craftsmanship!
Yesss I needed a good lighthearted video to watch!
I typically watch your videos on Saturday morning while drinking my coffee, my kids started referring to it as my version of Saturday morning cartoons! As always, a joy to watch, and I love the Foreman making regular appearances!
Just…wow! I love it when you two work together!!
Wow, incredible, I can't wait to see final pics after paint and decorations.
WOW! Most excellent! this helps me out so much in a scaled down version that we would like . Great video and very much appreciate all you do and share.
Great video and a beautiful build. Once painted and room completed can you circle back so we can see how it looks totally finished?
Awesome job Fellas! 😃👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻👊🏻
for practicality i'd have added a small walkway in the middle to reach the upper shelves, but my heart says that this NEEDS a slidey library ladder
Thats probably the next build

Yep. Like the one he built last year. But waaaay taller.

why?
Excellent! I need this for my pantry
Thank you for sharing your expertise. Always interesting and always entertaining
Happy Father's Day! Now that....is a built in!!
Wow! Great work. Very impressive!
Man you and Keith are amazing woodcraftmen. I love this builtin. GREAT JOB
Massive built ins and quite impressive! Keep up the great work as the goal is for us to continue to inspire others to build something awesome! 👍🏼
WOW THAT is insane!! Amazing! Kudos to you and Keith!
OK Houdini, watching your Great Cabinet Escape was best thing I've seen all day.
I cannot wait to see the video of the making of the ladder.

Just some items to be place and never moved again! In fact they will be left there for all eternity...
@@OldsmobileCutlass1969Va Yup, cause there is no way I would want to dust them.
I was thinking the SAME thing as they were doing this...
Bottles. S'only thing I can think of that is a displayable item that one NEVER needs to take down. And... "Bourbon" Moth, right?
Keith: Block caller or leave with the friendless outdoor bar Bourbon built. 😁
No Keith's were hurt in the making of this video
That escape was impressive!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
What a marathon effort fellas! Awesome work!

I felt like I was going nuts with building a mudroom locker, how you stayed sane through this is just impressive.
The price tag they charged probably helped a lot. That's an expensive job
Didn't realize he was doing it for himself. Yeah I'd have gone nuts

Incredible work!😳
That is massive and looks fantastic!
I must admit, the main reason I watch your videos is the random laughs here and there. The rest is a BIG bonus.
You popping through the hole was classic 😃
Sweet build my man! When you put one of those rolling librarian ladders on it that’s gonna really be badass!!
I can believe how nice you are towards your labor. You are such a nice person, despite Keith constantly screwing up . I usually like to slap my labor if they dont comply. What do you do?
Awesome….frggin awesome buddy….fun build. Well done.
Would like to see a video on how you plan to utilise this.
WOW I never knew anyone even build something as this!. Well done guys looks beret thanks.
One of the most beautiful projects you have made on youtube. Well done👍🏻
That furring strip trick is great. I have used it so many times to fix shelves and larger furniture as well.
Well done! 👍
Absolutely Amazing "Built-In" which looks stunningly cool!
You guys did an amazing job, and I enjoyed the video!
Well done!
amazing. super job. looks fantastic.
Can't wait to see the end result! Looking neat already :)
Wow. Impressive and, thought out!
That built in is crazy. I hope you show it when it’s completed!
Love it when you two do the same project, great job by both of you
Outstanding.
Love the Ferris Beuller reference, oh, and the build.
Great channel. Refreshing lack of slab tables and resin.
Incredible that you got this done in five days and it looks amazing! It took me 5 days to build a small 4 drawer cabinet for my drill press.
Beautiful table and well sanded..
Great work you guys! That size cabinet really belongs in the Library of Congress! What the heck are you going to stock it with? 🤔🤔
Magnifique travail et superbe vidéo. Je suis fan de ta chaine.
This is so far one of the craziest woodworking project I've ever seen. Congratulations it looks very very nice.

I just switched from the ridgid pneumatic nail guns to the milwaukee battery nail guns and i am very impressed. They are definitely worth a look
Hey Jason. For the drawer slides, Lee Valley has Blum TandemPlus slides in stock.
Middle unit up- slide to the left
Middle unit up- slide to the right
Middle unit up- now let me hear you clap your hands 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You guys are monsters!
Awesomeness!
All I can say is awesome build and he owes his buddy big time!
your channel is sick man all your stuff is top tier amazing
World headquarters office for Bourbon Moth Woodworking is almost complete!! 😁
You need a jet pack for your cave! Looks grand!
Holy Crap!!! What an awesome shelving unit! I would LOVE one of those, ,maybe not as high, but similar. . lol. . We have enough books to fill it too~ :) GREAT JOB you guys!!
Pure insanity ♥️
Dang! What a team!
When is Jason coming to NJ for a project?!? 🤣. Great build on both vids! Loved the different perspective each brought.
Pretty sweet!
Incredible! 😮🤯
Amazing, like everything you do! 👍 ❤
I jumped through in little 20 second blocks as a 40 minute video is a serious commitment in 2022 but that is an impressive set of shelves and drawers.
Would LOVE to see the finished wall!
Keith is a legend.
If you put in a 2 way mirror over that TV section you can essentially hide your TV. Will never be visible until you turn the TV on. Got one set up like that at my place. Its a pretty cool effect
