More of these, please! Watching Craig's progression over a series projects would be fun.
100%! This was so much fun!
Agreed, my most enjoyed video recently watched.
Great idea! Also, maybe vaguely assign projects, like “Craig, build me a…” and then see what he comes up with.
If it had longer legs it would make a cool keyboard stand
Very much good
Craig is lucky to have a fully equipped shop for his first project, and obviously being able to observe a master woodworker for a long period of time. That bench came out pretty darn nice - especially considering the curves and angles. You know you've started him on the path, and that this won't be his only project right. Yes, yes, welcome to the dark side Craig!
Jealous much?
@@TheLukaszpgyep.
@@TheLukaszpg Nope, I have a pretty well equipped shop myself. Not jealous at all (except maybe the domino machine lol).
@@TheLukaszpgenvious but not jealous. We all wish we had a full shop when starting.
You guys should do a build off with him having your full shop at his disposal and you using a basic toolkit, tools vs experience.
This could be one of my favorite videos you’ve put out- LOVE seeing Craig working through a project using the skills he learned from watching Jason work. It shows what anyone has the potential to do from watching these videos. Also love the first-time viewing voiceover!
This has been the most genuinely helpful video I’ve seen. Jason is very entertaining, but having him narrate someone who looks closer to my skill level and talking through what would’ve been better was amazing.
WAY TO GO CRAIG! 🎉 This turned out great! We all need a Craig series! This video was so good!
I'd watch a recurring Craig series. Or a video of Jason building and Craig doing the voiceover.
I would love to see this be a yearly video! I want to see Craig's improvements the more he learns while working with you.
Quarterly! Come on Jason, you get to take a week off every 3 months and we get to see more Craig. Everyone wins!
I loved that you had Blacktail Studio in there. The crossover I NEVER expected
You are an excellent craftsman. With Christmas approaching, I feel it is time for you to try a Gingerbread House. Thumbs up if you agree folks.
Love your channel! I’ve never commented before, and I had to say that this was the most helpful video I’ve ever watched! Craig made all the same mistakes all of us novice woodworkers would make and it was so helpful to hear you explain how he could have done something better or more efficient. Great job on the bench Craig and thanks for showing us a bunch of mistakes so we could learn from you!!
I was rooting for Craig the entire video! It was so awesome to see all his small victories along the way. Definitely would love to see more videos like this.
Awesome job Craig! For someone that has never built anything to being left alone in a fully kitted out workshop and they turn out an incredible bench is amazing. Jason, it's clear to see you have confidence in Craig's ability! Onwards and upwards Craig!
More Craig! Love seeing people learn. Honestly one of the best ways i learn is from seeing other newer workers figure it out.
Loved the convo with Cam - also a LOT of my knowledge comes from you. Thank you Jason! You've taught so many people. :)
We definitely need more of these
We need more of these Craig videos and your voice-over explaining the technique he used and how you would have done it. plus going over the proper tool settings and how to use them. Great Video!
For a first woodworking project, that bench was beautiful, especially for never having built anything before. This was a fun video to watch, thanks for sharing, you're self-deprecating sense of humor is part of what makes me such a fan of your channel, especially the clean-up scene at the end.... lol.
As you said…a few things that experience would have taken him down a slightly different path, but overall, nicely done, Craig. And nice job for Jason to trust his shop to a newbie! That takes a very high degree of trust.
Jason is back, intro enter Jason sliding into the scene. I live for Bourbon Moth on Saturday. Oh my gosh he made Jason sand that was hilarious. Best video on this channel so far.
That was fun! Would not mind seeing more of this sort of content, it's informative to hear the explanations of what could be done differently and why.
You both have such great personalities. This was fun to watch. Craig did a great job! 👍 You're very lucky to have each other.😉
Man.... I now know for a fact your talents are under appreciated by Jason. Jason had to do a ton of hands on stuff and buy a bunch of cool tools to do woodworking, you just watched him sweat and learned while being paid and have full access to his stuff. You are so brilliant and Jason will never figure that out. Bourbon Mosquito Woodworking is your new channel, great work.
My first piece of furniture was a cardboard stereo rack with 8 track & 1 built in speaker. My second was the same thing made from wooden crate boards for a J.C. Penny MCS series stereo. Both were very wabbly. I kept practicing and soon I built all of my furniture that turned out awesome. I built a stereo cabinet and matching end tables that cost me next to nothing from wood at an auction @ Chris Craft Cruisers (where I was a union joiner) and sold them for $400.00. They were made from Teak, Mahogany, Birdseye Burle and had smoked glass doors. My stereo rack now (40 years later) is wall mounted, black rails & silver hammered shelving & voice activated 4,000 watt home theater (Bluetooth & WiFi controlled volume via smart phone). I have 8 custom cabinet 3-way floor speakers (4 - 200 watt & 4 - 750 watt), 2 - 15" subwoofers (200 watt), 4 Klipsch (200 watt) & 1 McLaren center channel (200 watt).
Geez you guys are making the best of YT. Just like everything you do. Thanks for keeping up the pace of weekly videos with quality and awesome humour.
giving a man some cred ive done some thousands of hours of watching how people do things and also attempting somethings here and there i am NOT a pro or an amature im a beginner and when it comes to actually doing it and knowing what your doing for a guy that knows nothing apart from watching... a man did what he set out to do :) and probably did a better job than most of us would like to agree with... well done sir i salute you :)
Craig, you really killed it, man! Great job 👏
by far, one of the best videos that has been posted here. Tips N Tricks are nice but i think I may have learned a few things that may be obvious to others and totally over others heads. Was a definite pleasure watching
That was AWESOME!
Very elegant and functional piece for a new woodworker!
I am blown away with Craig’s job on his first wood project. Not only did he do amazing work, it looks really good in its home setting. The added humor/Jason imitations along with the golf recreation break and keeping you guessing whilst making the “golf goal” was a real touch of class as well. With this video, I learned useful information while laughing throughout. Well done Craig. You have skills!
Terrific job Craig, that bench turned out great! Oh, and I am so glad that you left the clean up for Jason to deal with! That's exactly what I would have done! 👍👍😉😉
Nice job Craig! As someone who just bought his first table saw and is just starting my woodworking journey, this gives me some hope!
I like the narration because you have very good solutions . Please do more of these videos, this was really fun.
Craig, you are my hero. Gutsy. Ambitious. And you pulled it off. GOAT novice! 😁
I think you stumbled onto a new category of video. Craig builds! Your voiceover taught me a bunch about what else could/should be done.
Definitely need more of these videos. At least once a year!
One of the best videos put out. The cameos were so funny and it was really fun watching it for the first time with you. It was funny getting your genuine reactions to the build and the whole video edit.
We need more Craig! This was an all time video lol. And you can take a couple more vacations
MORE CRAIG BUILDS!!! this was awesome
Kreg: "you make me sand again! I open my own channel"
I love the relationship between Kreg and Jason, even though Jason sounds rude sometimes but this is Jason he's just a pain in ... yet he's very kind and a truthful person what's in his mind is out of his mouth, and I love that they became neighbors too..
And the best thing in this video is cam showing up! It just shows how great Jason and cam are...
I’ve really been enjoying your channel. Now that I know you’re a bow hunter I like it even more!
I decided a month or so ago I was going to start woodworking. But I’ve been bow hunting for the last few months. This will be hard to believe but I haven’t built anything yet but I’ve ordered a new SawStop cabinet grade saw, 5 new Festool tools Track saw, Domino, sander, Router and MFT. Also new Oneida Supercell dust control. Also a Planer and a Jointer and much much more. Even lots of Woodpecker tools. The funniest part is I’m not even home and my wife is freaking out there’s a garage full of boxes. If these bucks would quit rutting I’ll head home and start putting it all together. Fingers crossed.
This was fantastic. You should do these more often. Great format and the voiceover was hilarious. What a nice piece of furniture. Great job Craig
Super nice idea for a vidro. Nice build, Craig! Very funny voice over. 👍👍 👍
I was thoroughly entertained.
Need more of this! Once a month, Craig Builds - no help needed
My first piece I made was a crib for my daughter 30 years ago. It wasn't my best but it has lasted. Because she used it for my granddaughter 😊. Not my best but the one I'm most proud of.
Jason, one of my fav video's you guys have put out.... first Craig gets an immediate pay raise for watching and understanding what you have been doing over the past years. Great voice over too.
This one with Craig gives me hope ! It was great.
Just wanna say. Thank God for you! I’m coming off of one of the worst weeks I’ve ever had and one of your videos showed up. I watched it.
Subscribed immediately and began the best binge watch ever.
You’re an idiot in the most wonderful way! I’m laughing again when I didn’t think I would. So thankyou again you brought me back to life xx
We need more ‘Craig Builds’ videos!
Jason, you should share the first piece of furniture you made and then recreate it!
I feel like I learned ALOT watching you...watch Craig. It was a fun change of pace.
I think Craig did a beautiful job and the end result is lovely. An excellent entry bench 💜
Dare I say, you should go on vacation more often? This was a fun watch. Craig's got some skills!
You're obviously a great teacher! That bench turned out great! Kudos Craig!!
I skipped the airstream series, just want for me. This was EPIC. More Craig please!
I still have the first desk I ever made. Tried to make angled legs instead of making them straight and due to the lack of tools I had to use several decking screws I had on hand to attach them to it. Due to only having a Sawzall to cut the legs to length, they were off by half an inch at most. The instability, wobble, and overall attempt to be fancy with some angled legs is what I definitely plan to change in my later desks... or use L Brackets or even predrill some smaller holes to make sure my screws are going straight through the board. The top is still super sturdy and looks great with a simple mahogany stain and polyurethane coating
If you haven't already, it's time to read that book to Iver. The pic in your sound room should be the clue. Loved seeing Craig with this project, hope he does more. He's got the mental skills and did a great job of putting them to work. He'll have to do a few projects before he gets the "Muscle Memory". I think he may have done dowels and dominoes to expand his feel for the work and methods.
Loved it. Thank you for taking the trouble to share 🌞
Enjoyed the whole video, but really enjoyed the “cameo” from Cam at Blacktail Studio! Great video!
New T-Shirt idea, “Craig has some beafy wood”! I like it because that’s my name too😮😮😂😂😂
This is a great video! Perfect example of me trying to do a Jason build on my own, missing me replaying the video 10x to figure out how to do something!!!
It does demonstrate how having access to all of those tools helps make projects like this wayyyy easier..
I have many of those tools, but no planer, jointer, spindle sander, domino tool, or those clamps.
Definitely need a Craig series
Honestly, the best of your videos so far. 👏🏻
this is great! love the new guy build w/ old? guy narration... love it
This was a great video and I'd like to see more like this. Also really like how RUclips woodworkers are doing cameos in each others videos. Cam's part was amazing.
Great idea for a video! There's a lot of Craig in most of us. I really do enjoy your channel.
So much fun to watch. And great job Craig!
Just goes to show how paying attention to what other people are doing, that you can learn and achieve your goals. Great job!
Built it like a boss! Well done Craig.
THE most epic woodworking video ever ! Concept, shooting, editing, voice over ... the most fun project I've ever watched. And the end result bench was very nice too.
FANTASTIC JOB Craig! Way to go!
What an all round brilliant video, a genuine storytelling experience in woodwork. So funny! 😂😂
This was great. We need more of these
This video speaks to how much you can learn by watching your channel.
Craig is the man
Love the cameos, what an awesome community we have here.
Great job Craig! That was a lot of fun to watch.
Awesome project, Craig!! Well done!
This video format worked really well. Awesome job.
This is a different approach of making videos, I like it! And, well done Greg!
Great Job Craig!!!
I use an EVO 4 and have the Sennheiser HD 280 Pros as well 👍🏼👍🏼! It was fun to see Craig woodworking 🙂.
That was a great vid!!! All craigs projects gotta be done like this!!!!
This video was awesome! Wouldnt mind more of these.
You guys have much fun with these things. Nicely done.
Great video... I agree with other commenters - more Craig videos to watch his progression.
Brings back memories well done there fella
This was brilliant. More please!
So much fun to watch and listen too! Brilliant! Craig did a great job too! I enjoy all your videos. Thank you!
That was fun. Great job Craig!
More Craig videos! Great to see him progress and also funny seeing you try and guess what he's doing. Loved it!
This was a nice change of pace although I’ve been loving the airstream build as well as all the other content… doing your voiceover behind it was a nice touch as well.
Awesome job Craig… you killed it
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the way this video came out! Probably one of my favorite ideas for a video on the channel in a while and think the format was PERFECTLY executed! I would LOVE to see another similar video to this in the future!
Definitely would love to see more of these! I loved hearing your experience and knowledge as a novice built because I’m still making those same mistakes… so helpful to hear why the decision was good or how it could be better and more stable. Great video and great job on first build!
That was fun! Thanks Bourbon moth!
So awesome! My favorite of yalls videos so far! So much fun to watch. And great job Craig!
Way to go Craig the bench turned out great looks great. Can’t wait to see and watch your growth and what you build next. So great of you Jason to not only teach Craig as he has worked for you but to let him have access to your shop like that what a great guy you are. Keep up the amazing job.
Great video, and great job Craig!
Very nice! Good work Craig.
