I dont care what anybody says, I've always said this game is a battlefield masterpiece. The atmosphere and graphics/cinematics are the most immersive I've ever experienced in a shooter game to date.

You hear the screams, the explosions, smoke, you don't know if you are going to live or die, you know you have got to take the objective no matter what it takes. Its crazy.
It had masterpiece potential if they had focused on better progression system, more content and patching issues earlier like the nade spam or behemoth chaos. The gameplay mechanics were also too casual unfortuately so it got boring more quickly. But for a brief moment BF1 was absolutely amazing

One of my favourite things about BF1 was on Operations when everyone would charge and scream towards the new objective blowing whistles with epic music in the background. That was an amazing gaming experience
Yeah, miss them too. But i will also miss BF1 horses. If you play tanks, helicopters and stuff people usually understand how to combat you and know you are a VIP target. But if you go full skirmish mode with a horse you can kill tanks and armoured cars for days while being the bane of any sneaky cap squads.
@@herb3469 i think what he meant was that this is not gonna work in normal lobbies(for 90% of the player base at least), but it will be awesome to play this way with bots, in a more casual way.
Even this is pretty tame compared to how it would actually sound like. There would be lots more artillery, constant machine-gun fire, final cries of young soldiers, etc... A horror game surrounding WW1 would actually be a nice idea.
0:15 - There are no crossfades in war, Polan! Instead, use the explosion cue to cut to the next scene, with no transition. You can try L cut so the explosion sound continues. Keep posting!

There should really be HUD'less options in more games. This looks incredible, I do not give a rats ass if I forget what buttons what or how low on ammo I am, I'm kinda sick of cluttered HUDs and absolutely no HUD would be amazing.
You could add animations to check your ammos by taking out the carthridge and the soldier saying the ammount of bullets left. That would also be great!

If this game was made today you would’ve seen a bunch of goofy animal and cartoon themed cosmetics, a sparkly purple wrap on that tank, an anime wrap on this guy’s gun, each player’s got a bunch of animated effects coming out when they shoot their guns, players running around emoting and spamming voice lines, it’d be complete madness. I love when games pick a style and atmosphere and just go all in on it. Shooters especially have just lost all sense of identity in the last 7 or so years.

The servers are coming back to life! Everyone needs to share these videos and bring back the community! A lot of these AAA games that just came out recently are truly dog shit, and battlefield 1 is a reminder of what is possible when developers actually try. I love this game
Well, EA just put the last nail for 2042 that I think mere thousands of players still remain to enjoy the crashes and bug on that game. Well better 1 and 5 than that failure of a game.

You know what I love about this? The player is absolutely fucking confused. Just sheer “where do I go, who do I shoot?”, enemies and allies blending together into homogenous muddy shapes on the foggy horizon.
This is a true Battlefield experience right there. Since the BF1, I'm playing only without HUD. It become an another gamer. It's more intense, you're on alert +1000%. It make you think about how you life is fragile and ask you how our elders could achieved thing is this hell. Battlefield is all about interpretation not "realism" but man .. I can't explain. Dice thank you and thank you to you Polan for this beautiful video. Can't wait to play like that in the next.

OMG on operations i used to love doing this!! Truly immersive. damn good times. i can't believe this game is that old now, it feels like it came out less than a year ago
we will never really know what these battles looked like on the ground but i can honestly say playing bf1 and 5 with no hud and incredible graphics really does leave an impression on you afterwards. I remember playing this game for the first time and ive always been a hardcore guy so no hud has always been my thing and when i played it the graphics the sound design the screams from soldiers felt so real i sat back after my first game and really appreciated what i was playing. I know video games get bad rep sometimes but masterpeices such as bf1 need to appreciated.

I absolutely love the battlefield games as a whole. The large dynamic maps covered in coats of blood and bullet shells and the ugly sounds of war makes the game as realistic as can be. Sometimes I'd just stop and watch all the carnage unfold as if I was in the world myself.
This game sent me down a ginormous WWI rabbit hole. Literally was obsessed with the Great War for a while. The horrific gameplay from this game is what drove me down it. The stories I’ve read and footage I’ve seen and interviews I’ve listened to all were so terrifying and this game immerses you so well into that dark time. Gotta go re download battlefield 1 now lol
This is the map passchendaele, its in apocalypse dlc as a conquest map. One side of the map has mustard gas, the other is a inferno. Extremely fun map, probably the best conquest map in the terms of aesthetics in the game.
Just look at the color palette of this game. Its basically just different shades of grey and brown maybe some dark blue. And some orange for fire and green for gas. Its perfect.

The community is totally active yet, just select "search servers" and you will find a lot of full servers.
I've installed the game few days ago and man - so many ppl playing it, there is like 20 64 player servers full all the time

I absolutely love the battlefield games as a whole. The large dynamic maps covered in coats of blood and bullet shells and the ugly sounds of war makes the game as realistic as can be. Sometimes I'd just stop and watch all the carnage unfold as if I was in the world myself.
One of the best multiplayer games ever made. It looks phenomenal and is incredibly immersive with it's sound design and attention to detail.

I just got back into playing it after a 3 year hiatus due to college and I wish I never stopped
This game sent me down a ginormous WWI rabbit hole. Literally was obsessed with the Great War for a while. The horrific gameplay from this game is what drove me down it. The stories I’ve read and footage I’ve seen and interviews I’ve listened to all were so terrifying and this game immerses you so well into that dark time. Gotta go re download battlefield 1 now lol

Over the last week I grinded TDM and I finally got 300 kills to unlock the Martini-Henry Sniper. Now I can take a break from BF1 lol.

This is the map passchendaele, its in apocalypse dlc as a conquest map. One side of the map has mustard gas, the other is a inferno. Extremely fun map, probably the best conquest map in the terms of aesthetics in the game.

Just look at the color palette of this game. Its basically just different shades of grey and brown maybe some dark blue. And some orange for fire and green for gas. Its perfect.
