    • @CoastalBusinessSup
      @CoastalBusinessSup  4 года назад +2

      For durability, it is best to transfer to 100% cotton. 3G Jet Opaque will transfer to a 80/20, but, may not hold up as well.

    Can i still print a white background image like yours without white ink in my printer? Thanks for the video!

    • @CoastalBusinessSup
      @CoastalBusinessSup  2 года назад

      Hi Hung, the background will be white, or anywhere you do not put your design your transfer will be white, as this is an inkjet paper with a white sheet background formulation. White ink is not apart of this process, only CMYK. If you do not wish to have a white background/border, you will need to trim your image, or send through your vinyl cutter.

    What side of the heat transfer paper needs to be peeled off and removed before ironing on the shirt? The soft stretch side or the rough paper side?

    • @CoastalBusinessSup
      @CoastalBusinessSup  3 года назад

      Hi Jazmin! For the 3G paper, you will remove the film - printable side (soft side), from the backing - grid side, you will then place the printable side face up on your garment, cover with a silicone sheet, and press.

      Hello! Usually around 25 washes if you are following proper washing guidelines.

      How many washes if we use pigment ink?

    • @CoastalBusinessSup
      @CoastalBusinessSup  3 года назад +1

      We only recommend pigment based ink, and the amount would still be the same - 25 washes.

    • @umarfarook1971

      Which ink can give 35+ washes?

    • @CoastalBusinessSup

      Pigment based ink is the only ink that we would recommend.

    Hi! What means 3g?

    • @CoastalBusinessSup
      @CoastalBusinessSup  2 года назад

      Hello! 3G Jet Opaque is an inkjet paper for heat transfer onto cotton fabrics. Mainly used for dark colored fabrics, but, you can use on light colors as well.

    I can't separate the layers. There only appears to be one sheet! I'm even using a razor blade. What am I doing wrong?!

    • @CoastalBusinessSup
      @CoastalBusinessSup  3 года назад

      Hello! Peeling the transfer from the backing can occasionally be difficult to remove, especially if you have not cut around the design. If we cannot get one corner to peel up, normally we try from another. Our trick is to use a weeding tool in the corner, normally the top sheet will lift slightly allowing for the peel.

    Ahh so the opaque sheets have a white background I get it now. You would have to cut around the circle if you wanted the image cropped on the black t-shirt, as opposed to a white t-shirt with softstretch where you don't have to weed, yea?

    • @CoastalBusinessSup
      @CoastalBusinessSup  3 года назад

      Hello! Yes, that is correct. You would want to trim as close as possible, or contour cut with your vinyl cutter.

      I am sorry you are having difficulty. WE generally use a weeding tool or craft night to aid in peeling.

      Ahhh ok.. i had that same issue, your not letting the image cool enough and also get a cloth, an old tshirt even and rub quite hard on the paper while it is cooling, before peeling the paper off..

      Hi Eli! The 3G Jet opaque paper is meant for 100% cotton. The dye from the polyester shirt more than likely bled through. We would recommend the Jet Opaque II for Polyester.

    I wasted my money with this 3G jet opaque because I cant peel it without some of the peel left on the transfer paper after I cut the image and letter out to avoid a big square box print on my shit like the one she just pressed

    • @CoastalBusinessSup

      Are you doing a contour cut? With a contour cut, you can either use a mask to pick-up the image or you can peel the entire image from the backing of the paper and then apply to your garment.

      Yes, we wanted to show how it would look if you do not decide to trim it. Of course, you can either cut your design with scissors or put it through a cutting plotter.

      All inkjet dark t-shirts transfers should be removed from the carrier sheet after printing and placed image side up. Make sure to cover with a silicone sheet before pressing! Thanks.
