    We recommend using the standard inks for your printer. If you have an Epson printer, then use the standard pigment Epson inks. Neenah 3G Jet-Opaque can be used with water, pigment, solvent or eco-solvent inks. However, you do not want to use sublimation inks for any ink-jet opaque material.

    We cannot answer this questions without knowing the brand name of the paper, the model of your printer, the type of graphic or the material content of your garments. Please contact our Tech Support Department for assistance.

    Hello, Why my output is like a transparent. I use epson L120 with pigment ink, I also used 3g jet opaque paper like yours, my first try is NO good. white is very very less that able to see the shirt texture. I pressed it with 180c/30s,, I need your guide since I'm newbie to this. also after I print it with my epson it looks faded in you paper, I don't know if it's your paper or not, because it has same logo, name and spelling with your paper.
    Thank you

      Gerald Quillosa Piodos Hello Gerard, make sure you are using Neenah 3G Opaque. It should have a gray-grid backing sheet with "3G Opaque" printed on the backing sheet. Also, make sure you only apply this product to dark garments that are 100% cotton. This product may not work on a cotton/poly blend, and will not work on 100% polyester. If your output is "transparent" and you can see the shirt pattern through the transfer, then this is probably not Neenah 3G Opaque.

    i used this paper on a dark t shirt and after about 2 months it cracked and peeled
    do you know why this happens ?

    • @condesystems
      @condesystems  7 лет назад +1

      Usually, cracking and peeling of a transfer image from a garment means the garment was treated with a "chemical sizing agent" or a "flame retardant". These treatments may keep the transfer from properly bonding to the material fibers. We suggest trying another brand t-shirt to see if the same thing happens.

      +Karmela Espanto It would be a waste of expensive dye ink when only pigment OEM ink is required. It would wash out if applied to a non polyester blend garment.

    Hi, i am actually using this 3g opaque transfer paper, but i have a problem that i cant solve,
    I follow the instructions about 350ºF for 30 seconds and the paper looks and feels good, but after the first wash, the paper begins to take it off from the tshirt. Not completely, just from the edges, i dont know what to do. Increase or decrease pressure, temperature or time
    I really appreciate your help

    • @condesystems
      @condesystems  7 лет назад

      When you are preparing your transfer for the heat press, (1) lay your 3G Opaque Material over your garment, (2) cover the 3G Opaque with a silicone sheet, (3) place 4-5 sheets of copy paper over the material and silicone sheet (this will add pressure to keep the edges from popping up) and (4) press at 350-F for 30 seconds. Also, check to make sure that the cotton shirts you use to not have a "chemical sizing" or "flame retardant" treatment. This will keep the 3G Jet Opaque from fixing to the cotton.

  • @condesystems
    @condesystems  11 лет назад

    In this scenario, you would print your frog image on the Neenah 3G Jet Opaque. Then, you would cut out the frog image from the excess material. After that, you would separate the film (frog image) from the backing sheet of the 3G Jet Opaque. Lay the film "frog side up" on your dark garment, cover with a silicone sheet and heat press to the fabric.

    I'm using your papers ..
    My program details were :
    Washing time : 3 mins
    Rinse times : 1
    Spin : mid
    Water level : 1
    Total time of this cycle was 38 mins .
    The result was that Printed image had been faded !
    I'm using Epson l130 with original inks.

    • @condesystems
      @condesystems  7 лет назад

      1) Test your Epson inks by printing to a sheet of 20-28lb. bond paper, then cover the page with a non-stick sheet and heat in your press at 375-F for 30 seconds. If your design experiences a radical "color shift", then you may want to use another ink-jet printer for your output. (2) Make sure you are not laying down too much ink for the emulsion to hold. We recommend "plain paper" setting for Epson printers and do not set your resolution above 720dpi.

    Is there any advantage or disadvantage to using the Neenah 3G with a ricoh chromablast printer. I am wondering about the Chromablast ink.

    • @condesystems
      @condesystems  9 лет назад

      Since ChromaBlast inks were designed to work with ChromaBlast transfer paper, we have not tested results with Neenah 3G Opaque printed with ChromaBlast inks. For more information, we advise that you contact Sawgrass Technologies or Neenah Paper.

    Hi is better than Neenah Jet Opaque II? What is the better option or aplicattion of each one. Thanks

    • @condesystems
      @condesystems  8 лет назад +1

      +Rodrigo Guerrero Basically, Neenah Jet-Opaque II and Neenah 3G Jet-Opaque perform the same function; to image a dark cotton garment. The Neenah 3G Jet-Opaque is a thinner and more flexible material that we recommend for t-shirts and light-weight fabric materials. If you are using a heavier garment, such as a sweatshirt or fleece material, then the Neenah Jet-Opaque II is the better choice.

    • @condesystems

      Yes. Neenah 3G Opaque will be compatible with most ink-jet printers. As long as your Canon printer does not have a "heating element" that dries the inks on the paper, you should be good.

    Can parchment paper be used instead of silicone paper? If so, any particular brand that is better than others?

    • @condesystems
      @condesystems  10 лет назад

      Parchment paper may stick to the opaque film when you are attempting to press the film to the garment. Teflon sheets may not allow the proper heat to pass through for the opaque film to adhere to the garment. This is why we recommend silicone sheets, because they are non-stick and allows heat to pass easily. If you want to test the heating process with a parchment paper, try to use a non-stick variety.

      If a shirt is printed using Neenah 3G Jet Opaque, then turn garment inside out and wash in cold water using a mild detergent. Do not use bleach. Dry on low -heat setting. Do not iron directly on the transferred area.

    @cindyringler 7 лет назад

    What if you don't have a heat press, can you still do it with just an iron?

    • @condesystems
      @condesystems  7 лет назад

      If your iron reaches the temperature required, plus you need to hold it in place for the required amount of time. Recommend your image be smaller than the shape of the iron as well.

    • @condesystems
      @condesystems  7 лет назад

      Technically, Neenah 3G Jet-Opaque can be applied with a hand-held iron. However, you may not get consistent results as using a commercial heat press. Please contact your Condé Account Manager for the procedure instructions to apply Neenah 3G Jet Opaque with an iron.

    Hi!! just wanted to ask about the wash test..how does it stand with wash..

    • @condesystems
      @condesystems  8 лет назад

      Condé Systems performs testing under "hot wash / hot dryer" conditions for a minimum of 25 cycles. Under these conditions, you may see some cracking to the Neenah 3G Jet Opaque material. Image quality will depend on the type of ink-jet printer used. However, we highly recommend that you perform your own wash testing, because water conditions will play a factor. You should recommend to your clients that they turn their garment inside-out and wash under "cold wash" and dry under "low heat" for best results. Also, do not iron your 3G Opaque graphic once it is set to the garment.

    • @taragurung9666

    • @condesystems

      All ink-jet opaque materials on the market are "solid film" transfers. In order to produce "self-weeding" transfers for dark garments, you will need to invest in a color laser printer. For more information, please see the "OKI White Toner Printer" videos on CondeTV.
