Thanks for sharing. I just want to add that Regular Dye Ink printers are not recommended for Dark Transfer Paper since Dye inks will melt on water. Best to use is a Pigment Ink, basically they just have to buy a regular printer with high-tech heads like the Epson L120 (The cheapest) or Epson XP Series like XP-900, or a Canon IX-6770 (Cheapest A3+ printer) and then instead of using the free inks, you just buy a Pigment ink and use that for you T-Shirt business. Never use Regular Dye inks for your business if you don't want to have negative reviews from your customers.
Thank You
Hello, Thanks for the video it was helpful. Now what if it’s not just one imagine. What if it’s separate letters ? Is there a way to pick up all the letters and transfer it to the shirt ?
This is best for full pictures.
Great video! with this transfer paper would you say it has excellent quality for dark shirts? Im asking the one im using feels just like paper doesnt wash off but i just feel like it should better quality for the darks! For light colors shirts if feels great
It is still a transfer paper and will have a stiffer feel to it. If you are looking for something with the best feel, Supacolor custom transfers are what I would recommend.
I' ve been searching for this kind of information. Thank you for this video
Glad it was helpful!
This was super informative. I use a pigment printer but I'm having trouble with determining which setting to print the images on. What do you guys recommend? I've tried standard, ultra matte, photo, etc but the colors are off in each one
Glad it was helpful! What printer do you have specifically?
@@HeatTransferWarehouse I use the epson p600
@@Blewisarts because we do not sell Epson, I am unable to speak on that topic, but I would suggest reaching out to Epson to try troubleshoot. Thank you for watching!
@@HeatTransferWarehouse what printer do you guys use?
I always use this paper really good
Hi I got a heat press machine but that machine can't print a t-shirt more than 250 C any solution for that
250 C is the same as 480 degrees Farenheit. There aren't any heat transfer materials that need heat over 400 F to transfer so you should be fine. Just check the pressing instructions for what is recommended for pressing.
@@HeatTransferWarehouse now which temperature and time should I set for print design on tshirt with my 3g jet opaque
Thank you so much for this video. Excuse me! I have a question. Can I use sublimation ink to print a design on the 3G Jet opaque transfer paper?
No, 3G jet opaque is for inkjet printers. You would want a sublimation paper to go with sublimation inks.
Whats the difference between using silicone and teflon sheet. Does it make an overall difference in the pressed image?
Yes, it does make a difference. Teflon will give it a more shiny finish. Silicone or craft paper will make it have a more matte finish.
@@HeatTransferWarehouse tnx
Sublimation ink better or can I use the ink that comes with the printer ??? It’s a inkjet . Please let me know thanks .
This paper is for regular ink jet papers.
Sublimation is not recommended.
i have P8100 heat press machine and what is the right temperature and timing to press a 100% cotton t-shirt ?
350 F for 30 seconds
GoodEveving i really enjoyed the video and i lear alot of things one think i would like to know sir i hve the 3g opaque heat transfer paper and would like to know if i can buy the Epson eco tank L3150 or the canon pixma G1100 to use with my paper ??
Yes you can
@@HeatTransferWarehouse but the ink for the printer doesn't have to be pigment based ink???
Can this paper be pressed on a polyester tablecloth?
Yes you could press this onto polyester material.
Thanks for the informative video. Please let me know which kind of printer should I use...can I use hp inkjet printer which use cartridge or I have to use ink-tank printer... What will be issue if I print with sublimation ink ??? Thanks. Awaiting your reply.
I have two kind of printer at home...one is HP 2131 inkjet cartridge printer and another is epson l130 which have sublimation ink.
You cannot print onto neenah 3G jet opaque with sublimation ink. You will need to use an inkjet printer
I'm trying to peel backing & transfer apart & cannot for the life of me get it started.
Is there a trick ?
Using same 3G paper you're showing - thanks if you can advise much appreciated !
I would trim the edges of the paper, then try to peel it. That usually makes it easier to peel.
@@HeatTransferWarehouse
Thank You !
I'll do that & recruit teen daughter with fine fingernails.
On other video a lady mentioned some sort of specialty tool for that - but couldn't make out her words.
Any idea what might have meant ?
Is that a special printer? Or could you use any printer?
any inkjet printer, these are the most common type of desktop printer.
Thank You 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I'm in the UK n currently trying MDP supplies light heat transfer paper and some of the design is sticking to the transfer paper and making the garment look like patchy vinyl.....says press for 15secs at 175c and peel whilst hot .....NOT WORKING 😫😫😫😭😭😭 any suggestions on what to amend please?
Not really familiar with that paper brand we would have to do some testing with it to see what the issues are.
Can I use a film transfer paper over it to transfer on the tshirt
I'm not quite sure what you are asking about. Are you talking about a cover sheet, or something else?
Hello. Huge help! I have one of those transfer paper…I want contour line. So all I have to do is just print it out and there’s contour line on transfer paper or how do you do that? I have Canon ix Pixa 6820 inkjet. Let me know!
You would need to cut with a cutter or hand cut it out.
Can you put HTV on top of this paper?
No we do not recommend that
Hi! Do I have to have a printer that prints white ink to transfer white. Or will something like the white background be transferred without white ink?
Yes we do: www.heattransferwarehouse.com/crio-8432wdt-white-toner-transfer-printer/
What setting should the printer be on
Print right-reading with your standard paper settings.
I don' t get it, i have try this more then 10 tens , and all my transfers are melted like cheese in a oven. What i am missing.
Step 1 i put transfer on my Gucci shirt
step2: Lockdown heat press
step3: 30 seconds
step4: Open the heatpres and what i see on my Gucci shirt a melted mess like molted cheese
Lol i just ruined 10 Gucci shirt
What i am missing
what temperature are you pressing at? Neenah 3G jet opaque presses at 350F for 30 seconds. If you are pressing too hot it could be the problem.
I'm having the same issue. I even tried at 335° for 20 seconds and still had that issue.
If I want to apply on the shirt HTV lettering along with the Jet Opaque what is the best way to apply your product with the HTV? Thanks
I would recommend apply the HTV last
Hi! Will this work with fabrics that are 50-50 cotton and polyester blend? I am using a different brand and the dye on the fabric bleeds thru the transfer paper if it’s not 100% cotton.
It presses at 350 F for 30 seconds, which is hot enough to see some dye migration, so I would recommend this be pressed with 100% cotton.
Would you be able to print words on these with an inkjet printer? If not would this handle another press with htv? If so would I press the htv first or this transfer paper first? TY
You could use HTV and would want to press after you have the transfer paper pressed.
Would this be better than a face down transfer?
Depends on the application.
How do you prevent over saturation? What settings would you recommend to prevent this
standard print settings should be just fine.
There's no such thing as over-saturation buddy, as long as you are using a Regular Dye Inks it will still bleed even with the lowest quality Prints. The only way to make a successful Dark Transfer Printed shirt is by using PIGMENT INK. With pigment ink, you can set it to the highest quality it doesn't matter since pigment will not bleed in any circumstances. They only showed here that you can use a regular printer with regular dye ink because they know many people own that kind of printer and not everybody knows about pigment ink conversion, basically, it's just changing your dyed ink printer into a Pigment ink, which can be found anywhere online.
I am using this exact paper. But my prints come out blurry, any reason why?
What printer are you using? it could be something to do with ink saturation.
Hi very helpful video, just one question, what setting you use for the contour I have a cameo 4 ? Thanks
This blog should be able to help you out: www.heattransferwarehouse.com/blog/silhouette-cameo-4-how-to-make-registration-marks-for-heat-transfer-paper/
Thank You for this very helpful tutorial!
Glad it was helpful!
I have a question. I am using the 3G jet opaque for an ink printer. When I wash it only once, the transfer paper gets a wrinkle. I don't know if I am doing something wrong. Any advice, I will appreciate it.
For washing, we recommend you wash with cool water and turn the garment inside out before you put it in the wash.
What is the brand printer?Where can buy the printer? How much?Is the paper is special one or anyway can get to buy?
www.heattransferwarehouse.com/walakut-transfer-paper/
this is the paper and you can get a basic full color inkjet printer and it should work for you.
Is there a certain transfer paper I can use to stick this to then press? So If I wanted to press like words, I wouldnt have to lay each individual letter on the sheet? If that makes sense. Like how you do with a cricuit or silhouette making a shirt .
It sounds like you're looking for an adhesive mask to use with transfer paper. I would recommend a medium to low tack mask like Siser TTD easy mask. But I will say that transfer papers aren't really designed for uses with a mask so your results may vary. www.heattransferwarehouse.com/siser-ttde-easy-mask/
I have a ? I hope u can help me with. I printed out a portrait picture with the opaque II paper and I accidentally mirrored my image. It looks fine but I’m wondering if I can still use it. I didn’t realize until it was too late that I wasn’t suppose to mirror my image and I’m hoping to hopefully not waste my paper and definitely don’t want to ruin a shirt also. Plz help
As long as there is no text in the design, it doesn't really matter if your design is mirrored or not.
@@HeatTransferWarehouse that’s what I thought. Thank u
Sublimation?
This is standard inkjet printing.
Really enjoyed watching ure videos there very informative with that being said im starting a t shirt business and i know i have to get a pigment printer can you please let me know atleast 3 AFFORDABLE pigment printers i can look at to purchase to start my business cause i already have my 3g opaque heat transfer papers and so.
Thank you for your response.
Looking for inkjet epson has a good pigment printer.
@@HeatTransferWarehouse does the epson L395 work with pigment ink???
Would pigment ink be better than normal dye ink on the 3g jet opaque to stop colour running when wet or washed.
Pigment ink will work well with this product.
Can you do it transparent background?
For that you will want one of these papers: www.heattransferwarehouse.com/light-garment-transfer-paper/
Could I use the brown Teflon instead of silicone paper
Yes you could
I've used other paper that would transfer on to my black shirt but after one wash the image would get blurry will this paper do the same?
This paper should be good for 25-30 washes when done properly.
@@HeatTransferWarehouse thank you
Thank you
You're welcome
What printer are you using in this demonstration?
Epson
That is not importante
Thanks for this. I have a few more questions if that's okay: could I print multiple designs on ONE paper sheet? What printer is recommended the best?! What fabrics can be printed on?
Oh and do I need a cutter? Thank you :)
I'd recommend that you check out this blog, it should answer a lot of your questions. www.heattransferwarehouse.com/blog/benefits-of-heat-transfer-paper/
Thanks for this video! Can i use this on a mug if I use coat it with sealer
You would need a hard surface paper or use sublimation.
Can I use this heat transfer paper on calico cloth?
Good question we have not tried that on there yet.
How is this material when the shirt is stretched ive lost a few customer because the paper I was using would crack when stretched and it wouldn’t survive 1 wash
3G Jet Opaque is a very thing and soft transfer paper that can handle stretching. If other papers haven't been surviving the first wash this is likely due to something being wrong with the press settings you are using.
Hi Ashley - I ruined a few T Shirts at first. Main mistake was hand iron at WAY too low a temp. I was at 160 degrees.
Needs twice that.
I bought a non contact digital laser thermometer at Harbor Freight Tools and aim it at Iron to be sure 300 deg +.
The dial temps are very inaccurate...
I’m new to heat transfer what’s a good printer in your opinion thanks and be blessed
We only sell dye sublimation printers, so my recommendations are a bit limited. But the SG500 is a great place to get started doing high quality dye sublimation transfers: www.heattransferwarehouse.com/sawgrass-sg500/
Is there any difference between normal ink and specific ink like ultra-pro ink?
I am not familiar with Ultra Pro what is that ink?
Can you use this paper for epson 2760
Should work in epson inkjet printers
is there a way to transfer a image with small pieces without having to do it by hand?
Yes there is. I think what you're looking for is our supacolor screen print transfers. www.heattransferwarehouse.com/supacolor-heat-transfers/
Nice demo! How many wash cycles are these transfers good for?
25-30 washes with proper care
Is 3G jet opaque can be use for white shirt ?
yes you can do this if you only have 3G jet opaque. However there are transfer papers made just for light/white garments that cost less than opaque. So if you are doing a lot of white shirts check out the light transfer paper www.heattransferwarehouse.com/light-garment-transfer-paper/
What’s better for t-shirt this one or the face down paper ?
It mostly depends on the color of the garment. The paper that prints face down is for light garments and will work best with white garments. Opaque transfer paper can go on any color of garment, but it does cost more than the light transfer paper, so it's best to use for dark and colored garments.
Can you use sublimation with this paper?
No, this paper is for inkjet printers only. Here are papers for dye sub: www.heattransferwarehouse.com/sublimation-paper/
Can I use this paper to transfer pictures onto mugs?
This product is intended for use on garments, so we wouldn't recommend it to go on mugs. For this you should look into dye sublimation or custom sign vinyl decals.
Also can you google and picture and print it out and press it
Yes you could go that way and just have to watch for image quality.
Is this good with washes ?
This product is durable till about 20 washes then you will see it start to fade
which is better, art paper ink or pigment ink?
If by art paper ink, you mean dye-based ink, dye ink has more vibrant colors, less fade resistant, and costs less. Pigment ink is more durable, water-resistant, and more costly
let me known what ink should I use? original ink or pigment ink
plz reply me
The original dye ink has more vibrant colors, less fade resistant, and costs less. Pigment ink is more durable, water-resistant, and more costly
@@HeatTransferWarehouse so we can use either or?
How many washes dose the image last
Hi! It lasts 25-30 washes.
HI CAN I PRESS HTV OVER THE NEENAH 3 G OPAQUE?
We wouldn't recommend putting HTV on top of Neenah 3G jet opaque.
Which heat press did you used for this video?
They had a Hotronix Fusion press
Will this material transfer onto leather?
We wouldn't recommend it. Neenah 3g jet opaque presses at 350 F which would scorch the leather.
What printer did I use to print
You can print these with any desktop inkjet printer that can handle 8.5x11 or 11x17 size sheets of paper
Also is it worth going sublimation
Here is our blog post that goes into detail about dye sublimation: www.heattransferwarehouse.com/blog/what-is-dye-sublimation/
Which Epson printer do you have
We are not sure they came ready to press for us.
Is this good for sublimation
No this is for desktop inkjet printers. These will be what you need for sublimation paper: www.heattransferwarehouse.com/sublimation-paper/
So no masking needed????
No you don't need a mask for transfer paper that you are cutting solid shapes in.
Can we use iron for heat press?
We don't recommend using an iron for transfer paper as it won't get an even temperature and pressure for the transfer to come out well.
Can I use parchment paper instead? Also is it wash safe? How many washes does it last...???
Wash is around 15 washes normally.
Do you mean to use silicone sheet to cover when heat transfer ? Is that the correct words?
a teflon sheet is used to protect the heat press. www.heattransferwarehouse.com/teflon-release-sheet/
How did you print the white shirt on the table with the text? Thats what I am desperately looking for!
Light transfer paper: www.heattransferwarehouse.com/light-garment-transfer-paper/
@@HeatTransferWarehouse Does it leave a white residue where the paper is if you don't cut around all of the text and images? Every other one does. I can't imagine cutting out each individual letter and recreating the image on the heat press each time.
Can you use sublimation ink?
This is for inkjet and would not advise sublimation ink.
