      Franklin, thank you for your feedback! Both 3G Jet Opaque and Jet Opaque II are for inkjet printers, and pigment based ink. However, 3G Jet Opaque works best with 100% cotton and dark's, while Jet Opaque II works best with cotton, polyester, blends, and darks.

    So you don't need to stretch or 2nd press light the light fabric ones?

    • @CoastalBusinessSup
      @CoastalBusinessSup  2 года назад

      Hello! You can still do a very light stretch for flexibility in the transfer. You do not necessarily have to re press either. We tend to not, only to peel the silicone cold.

    PSA: For those that need to use heat transfer mask (that clear film that helps transfer lettering or aligned images from sheet to t-shirt) there is a solution. After you print your image, before you cut it, you must peel it off the page entirely and put it onto a low-tack carrier sheet. Cut the image, and then apply your mask. About 12 years ago Neenah got into a lawsuit and had to change the backing paper of its transfers. For years most people either stopped using mask with 3G Jet Opaque etc.. this is a workable solution for most. If your carrier sheet (low-tack) is still a bit too sticky, you can reduce the tack by wiping a clean cotton t-shirt across it.

    How long should you let image set, once printed? I have an Epson ET 2720 and after image has been pressed, let sit for 3 days, and then it bleeds a bit once washed..only the black.

    • @CoastalBusinessSup
      @CoastalBusinessSup  2 года назад

      Hello! With this paper, we press right away! You can also let sit out, if you do not need to press right away. With this paper, you also need to use pigment based ink.

    • @CoastalBusinessSup
      @CoastalBusinessSup  2 года назад

      Hello, normally the ink that comes with the printer is dye based ink and will run/smear once washed. We would only recommend pigment based.

      Dennis, 3G is best used with 100% cotton for the best quality and durability. We would recommend the Jet Opaque II for a blend: www.coastalbusiness.com/jet-opaque-ii-dark-fabric-transfer-paper-mjd-g.html

      It was a cotton t-shirt... I used my easy press at the recommended 350 for 30sec.
      Not sure what happened as that was my first time trying and I'm literally now scared to try it again. I've watched so many videos and still can't figure out what happened. I made sure to ask if the short was washed prior and if they used fabric softener and was told they only used detergent.

      Use parchment paper over top of the 3G paper. It will stick with hardly any heat. PLACE it on your garment BEFORE the garment gets warm. Don't move the 3G paper around while it's under a hot heat press. Gets messed up almost every time. This paper is a go-to for me. I've been using it for years. I'm not paid by this company.
