A magnificent bankai as befitting the most beautiful zanpakuto.
What Senjimaru did is making an advanced outfit for them, not training, they are getting the final preparation before they enter the battlefield, also they need these outfits to pass through the barrier that protect the royal palace. All the Squad Zero procedure combined is to help you recover, become stronger, and be ready to go back to the battlefield, not every step is for training.
I think the stairs is just to have a place for Ichigo to stop and rest, not for him to run through it, both Renji and Rukia fall from the sky as well, and Soul Reapers can use Reishi to make footstep point in the air, so the stairs aren't necessary for them to run through it. When Ichigo said goes really fast for half days, it properly means just straight goes down, we also see he is able to accelerate in the middle of falling.

And, before I forget, Byakuya's 'training' is a little different, if you pay attention, he isn't just launching waves of flower petals as he did before, he's creating shapes with the petals.
We never see his training in the manga, but that's what we are told he improves with.
The right hand man's letter (Jugram) is B, we were already told that, but it was there for like a second at most. Any ideas on his ability from what we see this ep?

[Tidbits & Clarifications]
- They may add it later but as it stands they seem to have cut out most of Senjumaru's (Gold Arms lady) content, she's the one who made the new clothes for Ichigo, Rukia, Renji, and Byakuya and they serve a purpose aside from just looking cool.
(Again they may cover it later so I won't spoil what invention she made for the Soul Society)
- The Scale is a hint at what Jugram Haschwalths' ability is. Giving what he said, Cang Du survived his 1st attack, which was fortunate, but then we saw the scale tilt.

- In the Manga, there exist a little more context to what As Nodt Fears. He exclaims: "My only fear is to be rebuked by his Majesty and have all of this Body taken from me"
As we saw with the glimpses of his backstory, he was apparently always in a state close to death and that's a state that he never wants to return to.
(Sidenote - Many fans theorize that the Schrifts that the Quincy have are based on traumas they experienced in life)
- As Nodt's speech is slightly altered here in the Anime, but the general premise is that at the fundamental level Comfort leads to Life and Fear leads to Death, he believes that fear is inherently a feeling birthed from our survival instincts, meaning that to want to live means to fear death.
- Some fans draw issue or feel that Rukia's reaction to Byakuya was forced, but as we know Rukia for a long time had never really felt seen by Byakuya, and learning that she was adopted thanks to a dying wish and not her skills certainly wouldn't help sway those feelings of Insecurity.
- As Nodt's Death brings up an interesting topic, Yhwach comes across as even more sadistic ruler, he seems to take advantage of the Quincy who were looking for someone or something to save them, and he appears much like a false Mesiah, promising them everything while actually seeking to take everything.
(Sidenote 2: As Nodts obsession with Senbonzakura is interesting, I personally believe it's symbolic. As Nodt seemed to have been living a bedridden life, so his life was likely devoid of seeing beautiful things, and likely felt that life itself was not beautiful.
Senbonzakura is just that, this beautiful tool that he can use to employ the same fear that he was forced to endure.)

Regarding Haschwalth, yes this is his schrifit! They already gave us a few tips about what he does (but I don’t remember if his letter was mentioned, that’s also a big tip), but it will only be fully explained later on!
At this point they are only tipping about Yhwach true nature, but they should explain it soon! In the manga there was a full explanation about it in this arc!
I heard it took them 9 hours to finish the voices in this episode, the VAs just knocked this one out of the park!
This episode didn’t have fluid animation like the last one, but for some reason it was just perfect.

for Byakuya to matter of factly, & certainly meant it, say "you've become strong, Rukia" meant the world for her. she totally wasn't even
expecting that to happen but the fact it did & he said it so frankly she knows he doesn't particularly do that so he must really meant it. he's not one to throw anyone praises really
so you know it's not just empty bigups/praise by him but it's the flatout truth as he sees it. as he said to her even from afar he could sense her spiritual pressure that whole time, it's much greater now ofc, & he had to keep it a buck & ofc wanted to let her know.
Rukia, while she didn't expect him to acknowledge her strength that way ofc, def always wanted flatout acknowledgement from him that way concerning her as a gotei 13 soldier too.
instead of being the lil sis he needs to constantly protect only he's telling her let's protect SS together now. she has pride as a soldier too ofc so hearing that felt good/got her on sky 9 lol
current Byakuya's got Royal Palace buffs too ofc & yes his current shikai can very much be seen on the lvl of his former bankai's ap & petal amount which is amazing for him
as Byakuya said he has even better understanding & true mastery of his Senbonzakura zanpakutou overall so
As Nodt stealing/having his bankai for a quick min actually did him a favor to realize the true essence of his Senbonzakura & "go back to the drawing board" so to speak in reexamining his bond with it so it can be stronger & he'll be stronger as a result.

Jugram Haschwalt’s Schrift is what you seen earlier at the beginning. I don’t want to spoil exactly what it is, but if you relisten to him talk to cang du about being fortunate he was able to block the sword with “The Iron” ability. You’ll pretty much find out what the core of his power is about

Let’s go! I have been waiting to see Äs Nödt’s Vollständig be animated and it did not disappoint. It was great to see Rukia’s beautiful Bankai as well as the return of Byakuya. They got me hype with Ichigo being officially on his way and saying how he’ll take care of things 🤘🏽Seeing the panel of Yachiru punching the Sternritter at the end was awesome to see and I want Kenpachi to show up and get to work already! Can’t wait for next week!

Rukia Greatness! The most beautiful bankai in all of Soul Society. Lets also give a HUGE shoutout to As Nodts Voice Actor, holy fuck that dude SNAPPED. To think that next episode will be even crazier boggles my mind. This isnt even the peak of this arc.
Rukia's Shikai and Bankai are so cool, but it's crazy that she can so easily kill herself with it if she's not careful, damn good thing Byakuya was there to prevent her from shattering and teach her to slowly undo her Bankai. Once she trains with both of them she'll be a real powerhouse.

"Hakka No Togame" is Rukia's Bankai. it's elegant & very powerful with its ap if she can get it off successfully. in fact she merely activated/busted it out & it froze As Nodt to an easy 1 shot in his Vollstandig. ofc since she barely acquired bankai you can say it can get better as the yrs go on
as was said in SS Arc normally it takes shinigamis 10yrs to master their bankai. not 10 yrs to achieve one ofc, but to master its usage down pat after they did achieve it ofc. so ya Rukia is frozen still & doesn't have movement in bankai rn so there's drawbacks PLUS as Byakuya
said the slightest movement too much or at wrong time when undoing it can cost her life so it's "dangerous" to her in that way just as her powerful shikai can be dangerous to her body. high risk high reward. but its ap is crazy & to just merely activate it & it 1shots As Nodt in his
Volstandig into an ice statue that crumbled to tiny bits of ice... tells you alot.
I think it's more realistic this way that for her to have freshly attained bankai well it won't be quite op plus with 0 drawbacks to it on top lol

Byakuya telling Rukia thay nothing can be saved with a blade swung in exchange for one's life is a shot at Komamura. He threw his life away for nothing. Tricked by his own clan leader.
Komamura was out for revenge though, and even then he came back to help Hinamori and Shinji. I think it was more a jab to himself during his previous fight with as nodt basically sacrificing himself to let Renji finish the work.

He was just the most skilled of the two to draw out their opponent's skills. It was def a jab at Komamura.

He has no idea what happened to komamura and 2. He speaking to Rukia because her bankai unlike other can easily kill her. I can’t imagine trying to downplay another character because of one like.
Regarding Byakuya: your assumption is right. Capt. Kuchiki is waaay stronger now. His base shikai is as strong if not stronger than his pre royal palace bankai. You will see him in action again... Just wait.
Isane & Yachiru were shown at the end here + some old creepy dude messing with them that can make his presence disappear from his foe's sight plus their mind, as he said.
Yachiru did show good reflexes bc she did get a nice punch on his face but ofc he made her forget what she was even doing. so guy is sounding op with an ability like that. btw it's been
soooo long but finally Yachiru is shown this cour lol. in cour 1 she was only shown briefly/5secs picking up Kenpachi's eyepatch that he left behind to fight Unohana in Muken ofc but that's it. she was doing Isane a solid here gathering bedding + medicine sneakily.
with Unohana gone/RIP ofc, Isane is doing a lotta hard carrying for 4th division now. she is having to heal 2 Capts in Rose/Kensei at the same time here bc they're in critical condition. & to do "kaidou"/which is healing done by shingamis, they actually
have to exhaust their own spiritual pressure also to restore a patient's lost spiritual pressure + to restore their body/heal injuries so it's kinda a thankless yet very important job as medic-centric shinigamis of squad 4!

As much as I love Byakuya, I really do wish he'd have stayed dead precisely for this moment. I'm probably biased because Rukia is my favorite character, but having Byakuya show up to save Rukia AGAIN kinda takes away from this moment really being her own. First at the Sokyoku, then again in Las Noches, and now here, she's always being saved, whether it's by IChigo, Renji, or Byakuya. For her to step out from his shadow and become her own person, I would have liked to see her come up with a way to counter Tatar Foras on her own and end the fight herself with no assistance.
Regardless, the moments they have together are fantastic and a long time coming, though I wish they didn't have to come at the cost of Rukia continuing to be a damsel in distress.
Byakuya is the best captain in bleach, there is no way kubo would kill him. You cant kill one of rhe most popular captains and expect the fans like that shit
I didn't like it at first either, but I think it actually makes sense. She didn't need his help to kill him as we saw. When raw fear sets in like that, confidence is the only thing that can help you overcome it. Byakuya has always been a cold person who never just complements people unless it's truly deserved. Up until this point he has always held her back for fear of putting her in danger. It's stated that his desire to keep her out of danger is the only reason she isn't a lieutenant even though she's the only person who wasn't a Captain/Ichigo who killed an Espada. With as emotionally cold of a person Byakuya is, it's easy to imagine that he's always acted so coldly with her which would damage her self esteem.
What he did here wasn't so much saving her as it was swooping in and distracting As Nodt so Rukia had time to pull herself together, and then he immediately began reassuring her of how powerful she's become. That was probably the first time she got such a strong complement from him when his approval is something that has been such a big deal to her. As soon as he gave her the morale boost, he stepped back and let her finish what she started. This is less of a damsel in distress moment and more about Byakuya having matured emotionally and guiding her to taking control of her power. At the end he's no longer talking as though she's someone who needs protecting, instead he's treating her as an equal and asking her to help him defend the Seireitei together.
The contents of this chapter were already hype as hell, but you can't tell me Yoshitsugu's voice acting didn't elevate this chapter to whole new level. I only realized it was him when they showed as nodt in bed and he managed to even make feel a bit sad for him.
You may know that VA from the end poem from Demon Slayer. It's the same guy who voices Tanjirou.

In the manga Haschwalt is with Yhwach and not Uryuu.
In the manga Can Du says he won’t accept being killed by anyone other than Yhwach and for that reason he uses his schrift!
BG9 just begs for his life before being killed.
I personally don’t like them cutting those lines as they gave some more insight into the characters, just like As nödt saying he only fears Yhwach!
These lines wouldn't make sense without Yhwach there. BG9 was beggining Yhwach and Cang Du wouldn't bother saying what he said without the Emperor being there. I think it was a neat change. It also didn't make BG9 go out like a begging bitch
@@MrDamian1329 for bg9 is whatever, but cutting Cang Du’s line was really bad imo, it didn’t really matter if Yhwach was there or not, it showed his loyalty, which it was a trace of his personally that he lost in the anime version.
During the battle against Äs Nödt, although at the beginning Rukia is able to guard his fear power by Absolute Zero, that does not work once Äs Nödt used his holy form. However, it is Byakuya's words that inspired Rukia and make her able to look straight into the fear and finally able to win against it. that shows how great the character growth for Rukia and Byakuya

Byakuya also gained new power after his training, although we didn't see much of his actions in this episode when he helped Rukia Äs Nödt think Bykuya used his Bankai, however, it is actually his Shikai, this indicated that currently, Byakuya could deal similar damage to his Bankai before by just using Shikai, that is showing how difference he is now.
Rukia's Bankai Hakka no Togame/White Haze Punishment, it changes Rukia's outfit and appearance during the Bankai activate time, it extends Rukia's freezing ability greatly, once activated, every target within the Bankai range will be frozen by the white light and haze, then shattered to small ice. This Bankai is extremely powerful but at the same time extremely dangerous, been Byakuya described as just half a step wrong and it could endanger the user's life. Among all the Bankai we see it is indeed a special one and also the most beautiful Bankai.
Ichigo is again on his way to descend like a Savior. the outfit he got is specially made by Squd Zero to make sure he is able to pass a total 72 barriers that protect the Royal palace. And to think if Ichigo goes at high speed, he could go pass the distance that will take Flash step for a week in just half days. By applying that maybe we could say his speed is at least around 14 times faster than a normal flash step and he could maintain this for a long time. Clearly, he is the biggest aid Soul Society could expect to turn the tide.
And we have Jugram Haschwalth showed us again that there is no "lose" for Yhwach regardless of the battle result on this battlefield. As a Stern Ritter, if you defeat the soul reaper, you will get praise and reward, but at the same time if you been defeated, unable to meet the expectation, then you will be decided as unworthy and killed to make your last value, make Yhwach stronger by return everything from your soul to him. this really showed us why to all Quincies, Yhwach is like a God and you can literally say the race of Quincy exist to serve Yhwach.
Kuchiki Rukia, after training with Squd Zero awakened her true Zanpakuto power and Bankai, Rukia's Sode no Shirayuki technically is not a sword that creates ice to freeze the enemy, it is true power is to control the user's body temperature and creates special buff when the body temperature lower to -18℃, Rukia's slash will cause the enemy's blood freeze and won't come out from wounds, when lower to -50℃, Rukia will freeze the ground she stand. When in Absolute zero (-273.15℃), Rukia's strike will instantly freeze the enemy. Rukia could only maintain Absolute Zero for 4 seconds, this power also causes a huge burden to the user's body so she needs to be very careful, and after using it, she needs to slowly return her body temperature to normal or it will cause huge damage to her body as well, it is a powerful and dangerous ability.
Äs Nödt used to be a religious people before he become a Stern Ritter, but at that time his body is weak and he is barely alive, to him at that time, even living is like torture, he is suffering but there is nothing he could do, to living on is suffering but he does not want to die and fall into hell. The one who changed everything is Yhwach, he appeared and saved Äs Nödt from that state, making him able to live like a man again. That is why to Äs Nödt Yhwach is the god he believed in and the thing he feared most is Yhwach disappoint at him and take back the gift, returning him to that hell again.
Stern Ritter Äs Nödt, Shrift "F" stands for "The Fear", Äs Nödt is not a physical combat type Quincy but a mental attack type, his Shrift allow him to strike great fear into the enemy's mind if the enemy is weak it will directly cause too much fear and lead to death, and even the strong enemy will cause their body freeze and unable to fight with full potential, under the normal form, Äs Nödt strike fear with his Reishi attack, but when He activates his Quincy Vollständig Tatarforas (神の怯え (タタルフォラス) Japanese for "Afraid of God". the fear power will be enhanced greatly and simply looking toward Äs Nödt's "Eyes" will be invaded by the fear and lead to your heart been burned and suffocate to death. As power will take effect as long as the target has a living neural system, which is why Rukia's true power can't guard this since her neural system is still alive. And in the end Äs Nödt entered another stage of his Vollständig and turned into a monster who looks from a horror movie.
