It was fun while it lasted man.. We got to see Yama's full potential and AP! What did it do though? NOTHING.. Outsmarted again..
Yhwach visited Aizen!?!? Aizen talked his shit! Then Yhwach stole Yama's Bankai and cut him down in the rain...
We feel like this next episode is going to go dumb.. We might see everyone's reaction to the head captain's death.. man.. it might go dummy!
Also apologies for not doing the Episode 6 poem.. We won't miss anymore for sure! We just had to leave to be somewhere that Monday and we were in a rush. Anyways hope you guys enjoyed!

So, I heard an animator who had done his own fan animated TYBW (2016-2019) actually worked on this episode. Named retro rhino credited as Ryan White (Real Name) in the End Credits.
That's pretty cool, wonder if they took ideas from his animation?
This is why Yama couldn't use his Bankai against Aizen during the Fake Karakura Town fight. His Bankai puts heavy strain/causes collateral damage just being active. And the Soul Society is actually more durable than the World of the Living, using it then would have affected the other side of the world and caused the oceans and polar caps to dry up, Yama also would probably only be able to keep it active for an instant as compared to the Soul Society. And as the Captain Commander of the Soul Reapers causing that kind of harm to the World of the Living and the humans would be an inexcusable disgrace to him and the entire 13 Court Guard Squads. So it's not like he held back against Aizen, his Bankai was just not worth the detriments given the circumstances.
WOW, he would've done that much damage to the word of the living?! His power is insane! Also makes sense that the SS is more durable and he can use it for longer there. Still crazy how Unohana said if it wasn't finished quickly the SS would be destroyed as well....That just means Yama's power is Crazy!

So Sternritter Y - The Yourself is 2 people, there's Loyd Lloyd and Royd Lloyd, Kenpachi killed Loyd but Royd was playing as Yhwach during the battle while Yhwach was meeting with Aizen.
Note: Japanese doesn't really distinguish between the pronunciation of L and R, so well.

Nice reaction. basically Yama spent most of his energy using Bankai so it was easier for Yhwach to steal it. Also yama's bankai is pretty destructive as said by him and Unohana. That it can destroy Soul society. So probably yhwach can't use it whenever unless he somehow masters it lol. Yama was also in rage and wanted to humiliate and torture yhwach (that's why we see his captain's cloak falling down when he killed the Sternritter O indicating that he is fighting not as Captain commander but as a person whose friend and whole squad got killed) He also felt kinda guilty that he couldn't finish him 1000 years ago.
Why couldn't he do it though!? I guess we will eventually see but it looked like he won that fight pretty easily 1000 years ago. Guess he just wasn't that type of man then? No spoilers but we shall see. They did Yama justice in the fact that they animated it amazing but the story sadly did not lol.. He got played and he let into his emotions like you said. Glad they put in the fact that his Captain coat fell off because he was the one that got mad when those coats get messed up.
The technique the Quincy are using is called Blut (German: Blood; Japanese: Blood Guise), a few episodes ago Kisuke said this technique allowed them to enhance their defenses or their offenses but not both at the same time. These applications are Blut Vene (German: Blood Vein; Japanese: Calm Blood Dress) and Blut Arterie (German: Blood Artery; Japanese: Active Blood Dress) respectively. They will probably introduce these names in the next couple of episodes, but introducing them now isn't really a spoiler.
You guys mentioned the parallel durability enhancement for the Arrancar, which is called Hierro (Spanish: Iron; Japanese: Steel Skin). The difference between the Quincy Technique and the Arrancar Ability is Hierro is passive while Blut is a conscious effort.

Yamma was cool headed against Aizen he managed to almost kill him and figured out how to counter Kyokasuigetsu. Here, he was all rage and dove into battle, which is what Yuhabach was counting on. poor Yama can’t get a strait fight.

Always appreciate it Bryce!💯 Right!? Yama is powerful af but the circumstances were not in his favor in these two fights.. Anyways he was dope af🔥Sad that he let his anger come over him but glad we got to see him go all out. Even if it wasn't against the real Yhwach.

Yama couldnt sense Yhwach below squad 1 barrack because it isnt the same dimension, Muken is a separated dimension that extends for infinity so it wouldnt make sense if it was just a prison under the squad 1 barrack, Aizen was the only one that ever showed he could sense things happening outside from there, also Yamamoto's defeat there was a message that kubo wanted to pass ahead, arrogance can break u in 2 pieces, Yamamoto never considered that Yhwach could evolve in this 1000 years when even yama himself evolved, he was just overconfident that Yhwach was trash and went all out to humiliate him, Yama could've ended this fight with the east and used the rest of his energy fighting on shikai but he just used everything to say "Im better than u bitch"
I don't think that's the case imo he couldn't sense him because he's just blinded by anger and as you said there's no need for him to go that hard against fake yhwach but he wants him to suffer that's why he used all his ability sadly it's not real yhwach.

Crazy how him doing that wasn't even against the real Yhwach. Kind of insane that he wanted to humiliate him and we can totally see how we could think this. After suffering all his losses leading up to this moment, it wcould raise his anger and push him towards this decision! Also crazy how Aizen could feel SP outside of Muken (what you called that realm?) and nobody could feel inside. Either Aizen is crazy af or it only works outward and not inward.
I hope they explain the swap process a little more in the next process because he called that Quincy The Y and The R right before killing him
They didn't really explain it much here and I don't know if they will bother or not in the anime, but he _is_ Sternritter "Y - The Yourself", but so is his twin brother -- they share the Schrift letter. The name of his twin (the one Kenpachi killed) is Loyd Lloyd while the one that fought in place of Yhwach here is _Royd_ Lloyd. He's just the "R" to the "L" of Loyd, but they're both Sternritter Y and share almost (but not quite) the same powers. Loyd was able to copy the appearance and powers of his others while Royd's version of "The Yourself" ability allowed him to copy the appearance and personality/memories rather than strength of someone else. This is why he acted like Yhwach and, along with Yama's blind rage, why he was able to fool Yamamoto into thinking he was the real Yhwach.
He actually must have been quite strong himself to not totally just get immediately killed though. So presumably Royd was actually pretty powerful in his own right -- he may not have landed a single hit on Yama, but he was able to dodge some which is impressive on its own as I think the vast majority of characters in the series wouldn't even be able to do that against a bloodlusted Bankai Yamamoto. It's hard to truly powerscale him fully though... but not simply getting fried immediately puts him above his twin brother and some of the other Sternritter at least, I'd have to imagine. And unlike Loyd, Royd can't even copy strength/powers! He relied solely on Quincy abilities like arrows, blut, spells, and his reishi weapon as a sword for actual combat!

The animators popped off in this episode for Yamamoto's Bankai reveal and it was goddamn amazing! Definitely deserved that quality bump for arguably _the_ single most powerful Bankai in the series... certainly the strongest we've seen so far in the anime. Yamamoto basically just straight up _turned into the sun_ and that was only one of the four abilities! Destructive power off the charts! Now everyone sees why Aizen needed to use Wonderweiss to seal Yama's Zanpakuto during their fight in the Fake Karakura Town; if he hadn't done so, Aizen could have been wiped out of existence from a touch of the edge of Zanka no Tachi and the whole world around him would have been in danger every second that his Bankai was active. That's some scary stuff and the episode title couldn't be more perfect. It's simple, but *really* to the point accurate. Absolute 🔥!
Nothing but facts Citro, THE ANIMATION WAS PERFECT! Yama's Bankai definitely has the AP to be called the strongest so far for sure! Definitely explains why Aizen and Yhwach planned to counter Yama's ability. HE IS JUST DIFFY WHEN IT COME TO DESTRUCTIVE POWER! We kind of enjoyed the title being straight to the point because the episode was 10/10 from the title card on! Straight 🔥🔥🔥just like you said.

I'm not surprised that they have something prepared for yama i mean they have 1000 years preparation there's no way they have no plan for him so that's the event 1000 years ago wouldn't happen again.
