The after-credit scene actually revealed a terrifying fact, when each Stern Ritter dead on the battlefield, their soul and power returned to Yhwach and make him stronger, that is part of the reason why Yhwach does not concern about anything in the battlefield right now because no matter it is winning or losing he will benefit from it. and just think about we already think Yhwach before is already so powerful, but now we are been revealed he is still far from his peak condition. It really makes you realize why Yhwach is a figure that has been described like a God.

That fact is kind of scary actually. Like dude is about to go take a nap after getting those powers back lol. Once the fighting continues and people are weaker.. he might join the fight and that won't be good for our Soul Reapers!!
Rose's Bankai Kinshara Butōdan is a more special Bankai, Rose's Bankai concept is still music and once he activated his Bankai he could use music to create physical illusions to damage and cause harm to the enemy who heard his music. He explained this as the deception is made from music, and that music has captivate the heart of the enemy therefore even it is an illusion he could make enemy's heart believe it is real and cause their body to be damaged by the illusions. However, even the music will still get to you when you cover your ear, but if you destroy your eardrum it will stop the Bankai effect. Mask did that due to he can regenerate at any time and used a beam to defeat Rose when he is in shock.
Ahhh so they were illusions but they did ACTUAL DAMAGE!! Mask was so smart and was a true "hero" lol. We just wished Rose had finished his act and won/put up a longer fight.
I don't know why this info was cut from Season one considering how important it is, but Ikkaku's Bankai is essentially unusable now. In the manga, when Ichigo meets with Mayuri and is told Zangetsu can't be repaired, it's actually revealed that ANY broken Bankai can never be fixed. Ikkaku's Bankai which was broken in his fight against Edrad Leones when Grimmjow first attacked Karakura Town is STILL broken. Akon made some superficial repairs to it (basically taping it back together) but it's DRASTICALLY weaker and still broken. The only exception to this rule is Komamura's Kokujo Tengen Myooh because it heals along with him.

Remember when Renji first got his Bankai and he fought Byakuya? Well, Byakuya specifically said that he was NOT ready to use his bankai as it takes 10 or 100 years ( cant remember exactly the number) before he can really master and use bankai. After Renji trained in the Soul palace with Squad Zero, he obtained his TRUE bankai, which is what Byakuya was talking about essentially.
The details are insane actually.. We would have never guessed that wasn't his True Bankai!!
We just thought they were going to get stronger. Renji instead pulled up with not only drip but with his REAL BANKAI!! This episode was amazing🔥!!

Renji Abarai, the first game-changer reinforcement the Soul Reaper side received, after training in the Royal Palace it is very obvious current Renji is already beyond normal Captain level, Komamura sacrificed his future to defeat one full-out Stren Ritter, but Renji defeated another full-out Stern Ritter with just his own power and without much trouble. Now Renji has also awakened his true power and potential.
Ture Bankai So-Oh Zabimaru, like Renji's Zabimaru manifest as two individual in the Zanpakuto Rebellion Arc, his true Bankai is also a two-part combined, the left side is Hihio (Baboon King), manifest as a large skeletal arm in Renji's left side, the arm has great power with it and could grab enemy and crush them with considerable force, even the full out Mask can't fight against this power. The right side is Orochio (Great Snake King), the left snake form structure with a blade, Upon Renji activating this technique, the vertebrae structure unfurls from around his waist and extends like a tail. The blade portion of the Bankai changes into a larger, serrated form
So-Oh Zabimaru, Zaga Teppō (双王蛇尾丸蛇牙鉄炮, Twin Kings Snake Tail, Snake Fang Iron Gun): After impaling the enemy with his blade, Renji clenches his fist and twists his sword akin to turning a key, forming jaws of spiritual energy. These jaws then close down on the enemy, forming the visage of a large, serpentine skull, crushing them with its fangs. Simultaneously, Renji fires a blast of spiritual energy through the enemy. The attack is powerful enough to reduce its target to ashes.

This whole episode was phenomenal. Also we really do appreciate the explanation of his abilities. It's always really cool to learn these things and make sure we understand them moving forward. We hope Renji keeps showing out and fights some more throughout the TYBW. We are hear for the Renji showcase if so!! Beyond Captain level is kind of crazy..
Kensei's Bankai Tekken Tachikaze is a direct attack type Bankai, it focuses on the explosion power his sword could create into his fist and blast that destructive force into the enemy's body when Kensei's fist makes contact with them. it is a simple Bankai that could cause deadly destruction to the enemy's body, but the match-up this time is really bad, not only Mask could regenerate and power up to withstand Kensei's attack, his physical power is also far beyond Kensei after his power up and easily overpowered Kensei in the end.
We noticed that these matchups are kind of bad lol. Sucks he got whooped but we are happy to see him release nonetheless!! Also it's cool that his power of his Zanpakuto's is put into his hands lol. Kensei Bankai = Straight Hands.
In SS arc: "I only bark at the STARS... I don't have the guts to jump" Renji accepted his cowardice, now he recognizes himself. The straydog reached the moon, he is worthy. Also the detail that the arm that is part monkey, the arm that protects, is the same arm that Rukia touched when they separated and with which he held her tight when they reconciled🥺

Wow! This episode was action packed. Renji dropped in like a badass and looked sick, also hearing Rukia say how James is no match for what he is now was awesome. I always wanted to see the panel of Renji calling himself a villain and So-Oh Zabimaru be animated. I need more ASAP!

low key fanning Renji since his first appearance in Bleach. Back then, I always felt sad for hime whenever he's beaten up and couldn't do anything with his zanpakto. But now? Look at my boi! I got goosebumps with him and Rukia when they came back and finally joined the squad.

26:52 It's not as clear in the anime, but in the manga Mask had no chance whatsoever against Renji.
Renji fought him for like an entire chapter in Shikai and Mask couldn't land a single scratch in him while Renji kept beating his ass.

The actual Sternritter was James, not Mask! I always thought that was hilarious. That's why Yhwach stated 'so James is dead' so he was, in fact, Sternritter S!

[Tidbits & Clarifications][Made him into a Cookie was hilarious]
- Some people are confused about Rose's Bankai. It's an illusionary type, however, it seems that those illusions can affect reality as long as you fall to it.
- The aspect about Renji not knowing his Zanpaktou's True name is something we experienced in part with Yumichikia, If you recall Yumichika intentionally calls his Zanpaktou a wrong name which results in a half-released shikai.
We also learned when Renji fought Byakuya that his Bankai was still immature so it was bound to improve at some point.
- Renji's original Bankai name was "Hihio Zabimaru" which translates to Baboon King Snake Tail, referencing only the Baboon as the King whereas the True Name "Sōō Zabimaru" means Two Kings Snake Tail.
- Many question "Why aren't the Vizards using their mask", the answer is honestly quite simple, if you think about it in most of the fights they haven't needed them. For example, Shinji was easily winning until he was straight up blindsided/caught of guard, same thing happens here, Kensei has 0 issue until Mask get a random power up, then it's too late to pull out the Hollow Mask. Same with Rose, he was winning the a sudden change of events turn the table.
- Ichibei reveals here that his name given by the Soul King is Manako Osho which means "The Monk who speaks the True Name"
He's also the one who created the name Bankai and Shikai, this is important because names in Bleach mean a lot, to use one's power often requires a name.
So Renji's question "What are you" is very fitting
- As many may comment judging by Yhwach's words, James is the real sternritter. This was confirmed by Kubo in his Klub Outside QnA's, Mask De Masculine is simply a being that's made from James ideal of a Hero, which is why no matter how often he went down James could simply bring him back, James is the Fan and as long as Fans Exist, the Hero can never fade.
- Soken Ishida is interesting, he seems important enough that someone like Jugram Haschwalth knows him by name, it makes you wonder what was his position back when Shinigami and Quincy were at war.
- [Sidenote: The beginning of Mask v Renji is slightly different in the manga, it's has more moments of Renji overpowering Mask.]

I think the main difference between the manga and anime is that before that scene where Mask’s stomach is cut, in the manga there’s few pages of Shikai Renji just owning mask and then ending with the stomach cut. (Shikai Renji > Kensei bankai confirmed)
Then mask powers up and it’s all the same.
Rose also got some extra lines and he looks more sadistic in the anime too.

I think there’s a lot of value to reading the manga due to the amazing art and panel composition by Kubo. I don’t even feel bad for “spoiling” myself, cuz it was just too good. Also I can enjoy the anime for the new things it brings and the great animation.
So yeah, if you have the chance to check it in the future, I def recommend it!
I love how most of the zanpakuto have a pretty decent relationship with their wielder and then zabimaru’s just like…kind of a stubborn asshole to renji

We just wished they got their moment to shine. They definitely showed out with their Bankai's, they just didn't produce the win. All good though!

Stern Ritter Mask De Masculine and James, Schrift "S", stand for "SuperStar". This power is combined by two-part, the Star Mask and the Fan James. As long as Mask is there, James will be able to be reborn, and as long as James is there, he will be able to keep healing Mask and give him power up by giving him fan cheering power. When Mask receives a power up to some degree or rages up to some degree, he will be able to transform and activate his Vollständig. Unlike others, his wings are like a cape and his overall design is a Wrestler Superhero. Mask is proud of his strength and he mainly his physical attack and beam to fight.
To defeat Mask you either need to make him reach his limit and defeat him, or he needs to defeat both James and Mask at the same time, in this case, Renji kind did both at the same time.
Mask was actually pretty cool. When he used his Vollstandig, the red is insane!! The animation for their releases and forms are crazy! We think the Red ones that have been shown have been suburb!! Renji with the Dub >>>
Also James and Mask were hilarious. We think the cape being his "wings" was a really cool detail of the hero.
Mask actually kill himself with the super nova attack lol
I think Renji could still kill James and then kill Mask fast with the bankai, but it would take longer

People like to shit on Kensei and Rose, but their powers are still awesome, Mask (and James) were just OP (Its also wouldn't hurt for Rose to not tell the enemy what his Bankai does..). If they went against almost any other opponent things would have probably been different.

Curious as to what Kenpachi is doing now since they've finally mentioned that he's ignoring their calls, I'm assuming it has to do with beating Unohana. A huge part of his personality was chasing the feeling of fighting with Unohana and now that he's finally beaten her I'm not sure how that'll effect him moving forward, he literally spent his life chasing that "high" and then he finally got it.

They fought one of the most haxxed sternritters and renji got royal palace training. They would’ve bodied a lot of other ones. Will say them not pulling out their masks is still dumb and never been explained to my knowledge

The Superstar shcrift is one of the most powerful schrifts within the Wandenreich lol, almost every other captain besides Kyoraku and Kenpachi would've struggled/been bodied. Kensei was no diffing an already amped Mask until he got amped AGAIN.
