- Opening day of deer season here in Texas is basically a holiday. This day is something everyone looks forward too. The first day I had little luck only seeing a few deer in the distance. I regrouped and used my basemap app to find a new location to sit to have a better opportunity to fill the freezer. The second day of the season I was able to put this little six point down. The way i hunt is i only take small antlers if that is the only thing i seen i would take a doe over a 6 point

@@Spiritualvibeztoo I'm excited! Been scouting a bunch. Non hunters just don't understand what a feeling of accomplishment it is to go out, and kill something to eat. Made a squirrel gumbo the other day, and for some reason it just gives you a different kind of feeling that I have a hard time putting into words. Got luck this season and thank you again for the encouragement.

Use uncooked spaghetti when making poppers. Not only does it hold everything it place, it also cooks with the meat so you can eat it and not have to pull out any pieces of wood or worry about swallowing a piece of the toothpick.
How strong is you spaghetti to get it stuck in there. My spaghetti is weak lol

Dang it mullet man. I use you critter glitter on everything from loaded potato soup, to teriyaki marinated steak. I love it

Good to hear that someone eats deer loin rare. You should hunt the Midwest. The deer taste amazing!!! I'm in Iowa grew up in Arizona. The deer here eat what cattle eat. Corn, soybeans and alfalfa.

Enjoy your videos but I almost cried when I saw you do that with those tender loins. I know that it would be good but I'd much rather go the route you describe yourself at the end of the video. I like mixing seasoning with brown sugar in the rub. Hot fire grill, take loins out of bag (so blood will have them moist and roll in rub then grill medium rare or so. Probably my favorite thing in the world to eat, period. So good

High of 86 here in N.Y. opener. Didn't go out today. Probably go out next Monday after it cools down. Those inner loins are the best!!!!!!! I'll have to try them the way you cooked those ones!!!!!! Get videos as always!!!!! Keep shooting those deer they taste great!!!!!!

I'm betting you threw the heart away. If so, you missed out. It does require some trimming, but a fresh sliced deer or elk heart on the grill with montreal steak seasoning is pretty awesome.

Man I'd love to have an app like that available that covered Canada as well. 90% of my bow season is usually spent on very busy public land, it would be nice to find something tucked out of the way

I feel like the management area around my house has it set up for only bow hunters right now there are no areas you can see more then 60 yards all the management grass roads have hills on them every 50 foot and they have let it get pretty thick, hofully that’s all changed for gun season cause I’m not too much of a bow hunter and I got out of my camp last year so it’s around the house this year! Bout to rack em up

Haven't tried bow yet, and I have to wait until Dec. 4 for my rifle season to start. I am hoping the big one that kept torturing me last year after I got my buck survived (I will put a camera out in early Nov).
My hunting season doesnt start till later in the year in Saskatchewan but I'm going this year and if I get one I'll send it in
My dad has already missed 2 does at 15 yards because he aimed to high and shot right over them both
Im hunting with a recurve this year i grazed a hog on the second day of deer season I count that as practice. The next shot will be dead on i hope and hopefully it will be a deer.
