Do you know what really gets on my nerves about keyboard reviews? You watch the review, you think wow, that's nice! You click on the link to the website and discover every option isn't available or is out of stock, so you bookmark it and check back a few weeks later, still nothing available, then you think ok, I'll wait a few months, still unable to buy the damn thing! what is the point of doing a review on a keyboard, with an affiliate link if you cannot buy the F*****k!ng thing? seriously! If they don't have stock at the date of your published video, bin the review and put that company in the don't touch blacklist! Cos that's what I'd do! It's wasting our time and wasting yours!
pre-order starts at jun 30th - we usually do not require reviewers to release the content during the sale but based on their availability - we aren't a big company that can call the shots
@@qwertykeys2119 thats fair enough, but i would advise telling the youtube reviewer to tell their viewers, the keyboard cannot be bought yet and have to wait till whatever date. otherwise its no different to looking in a shop window, you think wow, i want that, so you go into the shop only to be told none of what you can see on the shelves is for sale, you can look only, not buy. now how well do you think a shop like that would do before the creditors are kicking the door down? Think, Customer First! Its the golden rule of retail!
Your videos are always the ones I look forward to the most. The combination of humor, in-depth information, science and top-notch production is perfect edutainment. Thank you so much for the effort you put into your work for all of us.
I have ditched all my keyboard subs with the exception of Keybored and Glarses. Got sick of the gimmicks and "humour" attempts or cringe *aesthetic* videos from the others.
Honestly this might be the best entry so far. My only problem with the board is that without foam the modifiers sound a little hollow but the alphas sound really nice even without foam.
As always, your videos are the best in the hobby. Thanks for another great one. Replying to the KFA plug: second worst GB experience ive had so far. Updates are few and far between, and ive gotten two other GB boards since ordering my freebird. Probably faster than Maker but damn...
If the QK100 was southpaw, I’d buy it in an instant. I have a Gok 7v with a KBDPad on the left so I don’t collide my mouse onto the keyboard while playing.
Thank you for your work in making this review. I'm sure it took a long time to assemble, re-assemble, and test this board with all of the different components on top of filming and documenting all of it. This was a great review! Really might consider purchasing one after seeing all of the different combinations.
Just a better version of the WindX. There's almost no reason to not reccomend a QK board at this point, unless you're looking for a non standard layout.

That comment on indecisivness, "I don't know, I'm not even sure", trully got me laughing :). I feel that this is one of the best intros you have made to date.
Thank you for all of your reviews, and especially thank you for strongly emphasizing that there's no "right" or "wrong" in the hobby and it's all about what each individual wants and likes. The importance of personal preference is so often overlooked, forgotten, or blatantly ignored by many custom keyboard enthusiasts. The hobby in general just isn't as niche or small as it used to be anymore, so I think it's really great if everyone could do their build(s) however they want without being judged or ridiculed Anyway, I'm actually not a big fan of any of these build combinations to be honest... the case just sounds way too hollow for me, even with all foams
I have been waiting for a good 1800! Will def try and order this in 5 days. I will go with Anodized Red and Gold Weight, No Flex ANSI HotswapPCB, Golden Badge. Not sure what plate to go with. ALU, CF, POM, or FR4 :( I only have experience with ALU and Brass on my GMMK Pro and ALU on my Q5. Might just stick with ALU since I know it. Why does everyone seem to go FR4?
Thanks for the super thorough review with all of the comparisons, really helpful! It was also comforting to hear that you enjoyed the foam sound as foam builds seem very looked down upon these days. :') Made me feel a little less insecure about having just chosen to build my QK80 with foams the other day!
I'm sorry, we're all out of goat milk whipped cream from a brown goat, we do have a group buy open for goat milk whipped cream from a goat with a light buckskin colorway though, would you like to join?
To many options leads to paralysis and people just will end up not buying anything. This has been proven by research. Gotta tailor things and offer them to users as go to options. Also really interested why anyone should care that a company is California based or woman owned. Does either of those things make a better product or service...?
For me, top mount really stood out for me in the acoustics department, seemed like things were a bit tighter without the need for foam. I think I'd probably go top mount with either Alu or FR4, non-flex cut wireless PCB, in Lavender with the white screen bezel and weight.
Thanks so much for putting in all that work with this keyboard! I’m very interested in it as I’ve been in the market for a full size kb. Love the ever improving production quality also. The beginning was fun to watch 😁
I really appreciate your work Keybored! I was looking forward to you reviewing the Qk100 and your build at the end turned out to be simply amazing. thanks! :D
Thanks again for another great review with so many configurations! Great switch choice (as usual) too! Great looking/sounding for the price but does seem to have some hollowness, especially without foam, but I bet plate foam would be a good in-between for this board.
Hello scott, i know my question is not related on this video but may be you can help me. I have Phoenix TKL (Solder) i was wondering what hotswap PCB is compatible with my board and where i can possibly buy it 🙏. I been asking and looking all around I haven’t gotten any response 😭😭😭. Thanks in advance
I got to say... it is extremely tempting for me to get this one in red with a polished black weight. But financially... it ain't the best call, so I may have to pass...
The one thing that I'm interested in, namely the data that you can put on that screen, you didn't even talk about. So I assume there's no options for the data that's displayed on the screen.
.. I'm a gamer and I really want a keyboard with a small screen that will at least show me my CPU and GPU temperatures. I do like the 1800 form factor because I do a lot of accounting work for my business.
I just recently got my qk 80. I put jwk blueys in it, plateless, no foam and pbtfans wob. It turned out really nice, although its very quiet. I can 100% recommend their boards
I'm having a hard time finding custom board that has a numpad that isn't 1800 or 100% board. I don't need arrow keys or any of the middle keys other than the Delete and Home keys. Does such a thing exist?
Question about the QK01 keycaps shown here - on the Qwertykeys website these look dark blue with dark grey/blueish alphas. Here they're white alphas. Is the picture on their website off. Or are these shown here not the final product?
What is with companies suddenly making 96% custom boards a thing... I was shouting on the roofs saying I wanted one and finally after 2 years I abandoned and went over to 75% form factor and NOW that I've switched over its suddenly a thing again orz
@qwertykeys2119 nah y'all are doing amazing work, I just really wish things went ahead a bit faster... I have a QK75 and I have a hard time thinking of something that'll make me switch it from my main board 👍
Can't wait for this board, thinking I might be a lazy bastard and go for the included switches + keycaps bundle this time lol. Does anyone know if that option arrives preassembled? And if so, which or any of the foams would be added? Fantastic video as usual ❤️
Kids these days... In late 2000s, we had 276480-in-one card readers - and we *liked* it!
Lol absolutely!
In the 80s and 90s computers came with awesome keyboards, but my first 486 cost like 4000 bucks so I guess it had better come with a banging keyboard.
Thanks for showcasing all the options and possible build.. ❤❤❤.
These intros are hilarious lol

i could listen to the QK 100 - pc plate - gasket mount - all foam no - flex pcb set up all day
Haha doesn't it sound crazy... All the options
Honestly this might be the best entry so far. My only problem with the board is that without foam the modifiers sound a little hollow but the alphas sound really nice even without foam.
A force break should help it
Scott, thank you for all your hard work. We all do appreciate it.
Glad to be of help!
i regret not getting a qk65 when it first launched. i’m NOT making the same mistake with this one!
Love this vid! First I was thinking of gasket mt, flexcut PCB, POM but I kinda like your final build... too much to select and it is agonizing... lol!
Awesome job Scott. You never disappoint. I can't imagine building that thing 10 times myself. Probably going to grow some corn on the fingers😅
Just ordered the Anodized Red with Gold, Wired, and FR4 plate!
tyvm for support
I know PC plate is soft, but what is the difference between ALU and CF plate? I thought they are both rigid.
Best keyboard channel so far when it come to content. Thank you for your hard work!
Thank you so much! I appreciate it!

:( that's too bad to hear. I'll let them know that
345600 combinations if you include ISO.
If the QK100 was southpaw, I’d buy it in an instant. I have a Gok 7v with a KBDPad on the left so I don’t collide my mouse onto the keyboard while playing.
They should gave that option too and make it half million different combinations haha
Buying a QK100 as I watch - thank you so much for this!

"From a brown goat"
lol the best!
Why do I feel like the flex-cut actually has a deeper sound than the non-flex?

The amount of work in this video is honestly astounding and all without sacrificing any quality in the actual video.
Just Pre-Ordered mine. Your video was extremely helpful especially for a newb like me.

Best keeb reviewer out there. Nice one Scott
Just built a QK100 with the wired Hot Swap PCB and COPY+PASTE doesn't seem to work. Anybody else have this issue?
Qk OG sound is still my favorite sound in any keyboard

Bruh another qk board, at this rate OwLabs will break the hobby, I enjoy this and despise this at the same time :)
Among all these combinations, it's missing a knob :(
Is it compatible with Akko rgb switches on this keyboard?

A fellow brown goat enjoyer I see.
Here I am still waiting for my QK75 to be delivered
Love your work, and appreciate the effort put in. Really wish we could have heard the numpad though ❤
The numpad has a very consistent sound as well! Similar to the alphas
Thanks so much for putting in all that work with this keyboard! I’m very interested in it as I’ve been in the market for a full size kb.
Love the ever improving production quality also. The beginning was fun to watch 😁
I thought 1800 layout had no function keys

“Goat milk from a brown goat.” Gold.
The best kind!
How is this holding up against kbdfans odin?
Which set up was your favorite?
I really appreciate your work Keybored! I was looking forward to you reviewing the Qk100 and your build at the end turned out to be simply amazing. thanks! :D
Thank you so much for the kind words! It took a while to do this one, but hope it's helpful!
agreed.

Yup! The foam Def helps to even out the sound. I decided to put it into my build for sure

Whats the color of the case, white or cream?

What do you think between zoom65 EE v2 and qk100 ( not mention the layout ) about the build, sound, stock stab...
I’m so on the fence about buying this. WAIT ITS WIRELESS?!?!
I got to say... it is extremely tempting for me to get this one in red with a polished black weight. But financially... it ain't the best call, so I may have to pass...
I'm not gonna lie, that arrow cluster ruins the entire board for me. It's genuinely stopping me from buying this board, it bothers me so much
It must've been so tiring reassembling a layout like this over and over again for the video. Thanks for all the hard work!
Huge props for going through so many builds for the sound tests.
You should stream building all 276480 possible ways. I would watch it.
Is this e-white with qk-01?
Can anyone provide a link to the keycap set being used in the video? I can't find it on the qk website
The one thing that I'm interested in, namely the data that you can put on that screen, you didn't even talk about. So I assume there's no options for the data that's displayed on the screen.
During the review, the software was not yet complete for us to do anything with :(

@@Keybored .. Thanks for the heads up and I appreciate the reply.
@@z4k1_zaki65 uh nope?
Also, I would love to see how you got the 276,480 number.
what did you use on stabs
Great video. Where I can purchase the same keycaps that you have?
hello!!
what set of keycaps from minute 3:39
I like the second build.
i just want a thocky low sound keeb
QK65 is so dope... I don't need another board. But I do tho.
I just recently got my qk 80. I put jwk blueys in it, plateless, no foam and pbtfans wob. It turned out really nice, although its very quiet. I can 100% recommend their boards

Hmm not sure. They sent me QK01 keycaps and this is what they look like in person haha
@@Keybored Thanks! Guess I'll pass for now on the keycaps.
How do we order this?
Do you feel like the flexcut pcb still had too much flex with all the foams installed?
Your build sound is great. Sounds like top mount but probably feels soft and nice like a gasket mount.
4:02, 2163 year in screen shows when you can complete all builds variations?
I think so. It's foreshadowing
Hi!! Thanks for the video once again. I would like to check if wired pcb doesn’t support the lcd screen?
you are correct
I wonder what an upside-down, inside-out keyboard would look like. Great vid as always!
No zoom98?
dude that intro was hilarious haha 😂😂
Am I missing where to select the different mounting options? Or does each kit come with top/gasket mount options?
Each kit comes with both. You choose when you build
Just a little bit marbly with a nice clean midrange tone... *chef's kiss*
The crazy thing is that we know each enough now to achieve that lol
Hi, which do you think is better odin v3 or qk100? thanks in advance, torn between the two.
not really comparable. odin is a much more premium option.
I wonder if there is a qk65v2 and how much way s I can build it now
we are working on it !
i wish a qk had a fingerprint reader
Did you try the gasket mount with like an alternating hard/soft setup?
Nope! Haha
This is all good, but does the keyboard come with a backscratcher? 😂 Love your work, Scott!❤😅
Haha maybe?
Qwertykeys is killing it right now... Now, just give me an OLED screen instead of a knob on the QK75 and I'll quit buying keyboards lol
Haha we can never quit keyboards! Jk

I wish QK shipped to my country, this looks perfect for me.

They won't assemble. You will have to do it yourself, since thats where the fun is in custom keyboard
I'm not sure if it comes complete, or just components in a box lol
