Like Asus Strix Scar 18 motherboard looks like for both, 16" and 18". 3 years ago it was typically for budget models, like firs TUF series. Now this is normal for high end models. Sad. X((

Bro you didn't talk about the light bar, which I had to remove the ribbon of inorder to take bottom panel off.

I dont know if its for you but, you can open the helios fans and show how to clean them as that would be great addition to it. Just try to be open minded about this suggestion as I own the helios and I would love to see how to clean them cause you teardown every helios.
I have cleaned mine. I have this same laptop. It wasn't that hard honestly. Just have to remove the cooling system almost fully

How much room is there for SSD Heatsink?
just a few millimeters! So you get a flat heat sink for your M.2s then put thermal pads for added cooling. This is not a PC Motherboard that have bigger space inside and you can at will install a thicker heat sink for your M.2.
How about helios 16
Literally they made a bigger chasis and slapped the helios 16 MoBo into it.. They didn't even extend the fins on the right hand heatsink. Alienware shares the same boards on several of their laptops and at leasts increases the size of its heatsinks. What happened to the quality of the Triton 900, 21 X, and 17 X? Very underwhelming laptop for the power it is to have.
NOBODY IN THE UNITED STATES CAN BUY ONE OF THESE YET, but somehow you've gotten your hands on one to make this video Could you please tell us when those of us that want one can actually order it?!?
Its because acer is taiwanese for the asian market. You have tons of videos about the new helios from asian reviewers on youtube since weeks already

theres plenty of room there for 2.5 ssd. why limit to m.2 nvme when you can get huge tb of storage.
It will get cramped and also sata ssd will create more heat

NO! How can you say it will cramp the inside? 18 inchers have big space. Look, 2.5 SSDs are good for storage because it has longer life than the M.2. If you want storage and want a longer life HDD is also good! My other complaint here is the battery is only 90Whr and as for an 18" gaming laptop there is only 2 M.2 slots where as is should be 4 of those slots! And last Complaint, this should be able to take 256GB of DDR5 memory so there should be 4 SODIMM SLOTS in it! As for your comment, M.2s create more heat compared to 2.5 SSDs.
BECAUSE IN OUR MODERN TIME, BUSINESSES JUST WANTS US TO KEEP TAKING WHATEVER THEY PRODUCE! I understand your point. There is so much wasted space for the 18" behemoth. They can even add a BD-ROM in this, 8 USB Ports, 2 Type C USB and a SD Slot!
@@awakenedsoul2638 bro I have this same laptop. I have opened it to expand my storage and install a new nvme. I know it will get cramped because I have seen how they have placed everything inside. Also my main point is the data ssd generates more heat and they don't have the option to apply any thermal pads on their heat generating components like we have for nvme
@@awakenedsoul2638 also it doesn't make sense at all for laptops to have 4 sodimms and 4 m.2 slots. You do realise laptops are small and will create a lot of heat with all these extra components. Gaming laptops degrade pretty fast. In 3 years time your laptop will be pretty out dated and you will have to upgrade in order to play games. And laptops that are made to hold 4sodimms and 4 m.2 then there should me more space and laptop needs to be fatter for the cooling to be better

PCIe 4.0 for the 2 Nvme ???? At that price !!!! Come on !!! We are now at PCIe 5.0 !!!! and the Max Memory is really sticked to 32 Gb Total ??? Weird ! that was the Laptop i was intended to buy to replace my Nitro 5 core I7, but for what i see here... it's a NO WAY ! Sorry ACER but we are in 2023 !!!!
