    Annoying fan sound is gone with the use of PERMATEX WHITE LITHIUM GREASE.
    Cleaning the fans is not enough. You need to put grease, specially on the GPU fan with metal blades.
    My Acer Predator Helios 300 is now quiet as ever!!!

    Fantastic tutorial. Helped me so much. After sounding horrific, fan stopped spinning altogether. I cleaned it as you suggested it still would not spin freely. Added the grease and BAM! Just like new. You saved my bacon (and wallet) on this one!

    Thank you so much man, this video is a lifesaver. My gpu fan randomly stopped spinning and I was scared that it was the end of my laptop. Follow your video and it fixed it! Also as side note I found hair around the axel which I think prevented the fan from spinning. I’m not sure how that hair on in there

    • @YESTOADVENTURES

      yeah. you can. it has same circumference and slot But it is not recommended. i did it once however, it made an awful lot of noise. the metal blade is designed for the GPU to distribute the heat faster.

    • @vonmotovlogs09

      @@YESTOADVENTURES I just checked mine. PH315-53. The blades can't be swap since the gpu fan blade won't fit to CPU fan blade stator. Maybe you could trim off the GPU fan housing so that you could fit it inside the mounting for the cpu fan.Or you could also take out the PCB and stator inside the CPU fan housing and replace it with GPU fan. I'm not sure if it's possible to take out the pcb from the housing since the adhesive seems so strong. I ordered a set of gpu and cpu fan. I will see what i could do.

    On my laptop there seems to be 2 strips of tape connecting the fan to the heatsink, similar to this video. Mind if I ask how you got the first strip of tape off (the one on the leftmost side at 3:02)? I don’t feel comfortable peeling from the corner. Thank you!

    • @YESTOADVENTURES
      @YESTOADVENTURES  2 года назад +4

      Just peel it. Just make sure no dust will come in contact to it, so that you can use it again. But if ever it wont stick anymore, don't worry, it is just a Heat Resistant Tape. You can buy it anywhere like amazon for less than $10 for replacement.

    Great video buddy, I have a G3-571 so design and potentially the fan model is different but will try this. My GPU fan has started to either work flawlessly or randomly start sounding like yours until it fully stops speed, after a while it goes back to work 100%. I cleaned but did not grease, hopefully that's the solution. Any additional advice? Thanks!

    Awesome video, thanks! The only part I don't understand is 6:14. You say something along "This is a metal blade fan, the fragile one, so be careful". How come metal blades (and not the plastic ones) are fragile?

    • @YESTOADVENTURES
      @YESTOADVENTURES  Год назад

      Hello. Thank you for visiting.
      Yes, metal blades when bent wont go back to its original form. It is so thin and a little bump or push will deform it. Unlike with the plastic blade, it is thicker and once bent it goes back without dedorming it.. But not to much, it will break. A deformed blade will cause unbalance and will make a sound.
      Hope that helps. 😊
