Are you sure? I've been able to lock the handlebars on every bike I've owned (r6, Husqvarna, Vmax, Triumph Rocket). The lock is not always in the ignition, sometimes it's on the side of the downtube.
Does it not have a setting for the proximity sensor to stop it being stolen? For example say someone snatched your bike would it just stay on or would it cut out once the bike is out of range of the fob. Surely that is must for any keyless system, in order for the bike to stay safe the fob must be near the bike. Otherwise it's just a gimmick and of very little use.
That feature would be incredibly dangerous....to cut off power of a moving vehicle. It's also not a feature I've seen on any normal alarm system. Even factory car fobs, you can start the car with the fob, then drive away without the fob, but it won't restart. Even without the impractical shut-off feature you're talking about, a keyless ignition provides a ton of convenience from not having to search for a key (my ignition is partially blocked by the windscreen so is also difficult to access), it also takes the load off the ignition switch, lot of bikes have ignition issues, and having to replace it once can cost 500-600 bucks. There is also an immobilizer built in which prevents hot wiring of your bike. So maybe you should have half a clue of what you're talking about, before you go around calling a good product a "gimmick". And NO, I dont work for these guys or have any stake in the company, just found your comment to be super ignorant on several levels.

These things seem highly hackable, so you were worried about it cutting out to stop someone getting away but now these things get their fob hacked with an aerial and a laptop. Also why so concerned for the thieves. Even if it didn't cut out it could be made to run rough without the fob in close proximity. You jump to conclusions way too quick in what I was talking about.

The only issue I see with that is with sport bikes you cant lock the handlebars. I think it's better suited for cruisers
