We chose this product so we can keep the original operation of the Humvee as a military vehicle without changing to a key ignition switch.
This is a simple step by step video installation, hope you find it useful & enjoy it!

Did the velcro work to hold it up? Thanks for the video.
Hey, You are welcome! Yes it's still holding almost a year now :)
Maybe just a coincidence, but I accidentally hung up my DGD within 15 feet of the Humvee for a couple of days and came back to a drained battery. I don’t know if the key fob was communicating with the DGD and drained the battery, or just strange timing.
***key fob within 15’ feet of the Humvee.
Sounds like a tough one. Did you leave your ignition switch on the "on" position - if yes, perhaps this is the explanation to the drained battery. If not, I'm not sure. We have not had this issue happen. Take a look at our Humvee solar panel battery maintainer installation - may help in the future to make sure your battery won't get drained :) hope it helps
Nice setup 👍 what batteries do you have ? Looking for good budget batteries.
I still have the batteries I received with the Humvee from GovPlanet - not sure what brand they are, but I'm sure they're not the best option for the Humvee since Gov Planet just used them to get the Humvees up and running before the auctions. The batteries I have definitely don't fit right in the battery compartment of the Humvee and not easy to secure them to the battery compartment. :( I'm not in the need of new batteries yet so did not make the research to find the best batteries for the Humvee, my advice is to use resources such as Steel Soldiers and Humvee Facebook groups to determine the best option for your Humvee, hope it helps. :)
@@theinspiredjourney thanks. Yeah I got recommended budget batteries from home Depot. EXIDE SX24F
great video
may I ask you why the waiting light is blinking
Not sure. It was always this way on my Humvee. I'll have to check :)
Awesome, thanks for this, will have to get this for my h1. 😁
Cool! I'm so happy you found it helpful :-) I have been using it for a few months now and I am very happy so far.
Did you ever figure out why the wait light is blinking? I just picked mine up and it’s doing the same thing.
Not yet, from what I understand it could be an issue with either some of the glow plugs are no good or EESS/TSU is faulty. I don't have any noticeable issues currently but I am definitely going to check it soon! I would probably check the glow plugs first... I will make a video about it when I find the problem/solution :-)
How bye it?

Just find the best price online :-)
Ditch the wdfarty and get some dielectric grease
Will do Lol, thank you for watching :)
Caution: it fried my starter when the batt died
I'm so sorry to hear that.. Are you sure that the issue is connected to the Guard Dawg? I believe it is only cutting in and cutting out the power to the switch lever, so I'm not sure why it might be effecting the starter. Please help us to better understand the issue so we might be able to pinpoint the problem or find a solution... Thanks. :)
