@@Trevor.Dionne I know what it feels like to ride and then stop and get back on again after years. However, I must say dirt (overall) is safer than street. Yes you fall more often in dirt but the injuries are much smaller (most of the time) and likely less fatal. So on street, as long as you are an aware person and pay attention to all the madness out there and have good decision making and self DISCIPLINE/control a 600 is great but if you aren't used to street, even a "safer" slower 250 or 300 bike can get you killed. So just be smart on it and take it easy at first until you feel confident going from less busy to higher density traffic. In terms of muscle memory, reaction, feel etc. just ride a lot and get to know the bike and you'll love it. Do your homework and do what's right for you. The main thing about these supersports is you can get too confident keeping up with friends when your skills aren't locked in. I lost a friend at 19 (I'm 46 now) who didn't stay tight in a turn and got taken out by a mack truck. So, please be careful and pick your spots to be a hooligan carefully. I took a safety training course and recommend that if you can. Gets you on a street bike and a license too!

Part of the brake-in period is loading the engine up so enough cylinder pressure seats the piston rings against the walls. Don´t worry about going to redline from time to time.
Just picked up a 2018 gsxr600 myself.I rode all Honda CBRs in the past and have always hated suzuki,but now that I have one I love it lol I did a cat/servo/02 sensor delete,added a midpipe and an m4 exhaust.Sounds amazing.I got the delete sensors to plug in place of those to keep the F1 light off.Runs great as is but plan on getting a dyno tune and ecu flash in the near future to get max potential out of her.

Yea Suzuki definitely has a "stigma" and is "hated" in the sportbike community lmao, but once you actually get a leg over one they're amazing (really just the funny community lol). I'm still thinking if I want to get a full system exhaust or do a slip-on since I plan to track the bike sometime in the future. All I've done so far is just get a fender delete and it's made the bike look so much better, but the ugly stock exhaust needs to go soon. Beautiful bike. I have an 07. GSXRs are relatively so comfortable, smooth, nimble and easy to ride (and get yourself into trouble); if the law really saw how one rides, being pulled over would be the least you'd expect them to do... just saying. I always wanted an R6 but after my GSXR Idk if I can live without the low end powerband being so full of torque (relatively speaking). Increasing your core strength (abs), legs and eventually your back (just comes from riding) will help a lot to not really feel as much weight on your wrists. Have fun, be safe (mostly)!

Suzuki speedos are notoriously out of wack. When you were cruising on the highway at "95" you were probably doing more like 80. Unless you think all those cars that were traveling the same speed were also blasting lmao
AZ is known for notorious traffic and speeders lol, I’m sure the speedo wasn’t accurate but I know it wasn’t 15 mph off. Prob more like 3-4. Whenever I drive in a car I’m usually cruising at similar speeds on the freeway to keep up with everyone else. Anyways, thanks for watching :)

Thanks! Although as a first bike it might be too much and it’s not a comfortable bike at all especially if you’ve never ridden before. I’d honestly recommend starting on something smaller at least for a couple months to a year like I did before making the jump to something faster. It’ll give you the skills to handle a bike like this and be more comfortable rather than trying to learn too many things at once. Be safe and I hope you’re happy with whatever decision you make!

I had about 6-8 months with my CBR 500r before I upgraded to the 600cc. I’d recommend at least a year with a beginner bike before getting a 600cc. Hope you find what you’re looking for.
YO is that at a dealership where they allow you to test ride their bikes? the parking lot looks like a little track.... man I wish the dealers down here in south Florida would allow you to test before you buy....
Yep! The dealership has MSF course lessons in the back so they also let people test ride before buying bikes if there isn’t a class in session. I’m super thankful for it and that’s pretty unfortunate Florida doesn’t have dealerships that do it. I feel like every dealership should have a system like that.

I started on 17’ ninja 300 late summer last year to which it was a waste of money! I bought a 22’ z900 early January this year and had loads of fun! Will be getting an MT10 next year, maybe the MT10SP!! I favor hyper naked over supersport just bc I’m 6’3
MT10 is a really nice bike. I’m between 6’2 and 6’3 and the super sport position is a bit cramped, but I’m used to it now. Enjoy your bike and ride safe!

I would personally go with something a little less intimidating (like a Ninja 400, Yamaha R3, or even the new Kawasaki ZX4RR that’s coming out this year if you’ve had previous dirt bike experience). I say that because while the bike is pretty docile at low RPMs, once you get up to around 8-10k revs the bike wakes up in the powerband and I could see it being pretty dangerous for a beginner. Plus the ergonomics aren’t that great for learning how to ride and it’s going to be very uncomfortable while you try to learn the basics. If you do still choose to get one, take it slow and don’t ride above your limits. Good luck on the search, thanks for watching!

If you did that where I lived you'd lose your license, get a massive fine and risk jail time. 70MPH is the maximum speed limit we have though.
MPH (allegedly of course 😂). Yea Arizona is crazy, super fast drivers for no reason, gotta keep up with them but even here you risk a ticket. Highest speed limit here is 75MPH on freeways outside of major cities.
