I'm glad I am simple and believe Jesus as a child... I've seen so much non Christian behaviour in our church and it's organised charities recently that it's enough to think our church is rife with Catholicism and deceit but I know the Lord is guiding me into His light and giving my souls to help and love so I can walk in His footsteps
My heart is saddened by the on going divisions amongst us SDA. Is this not the time where God's people should be pressing together.. Praying together for clarity where we don't see eye to eye. Many non adventist Christians are already at war against us and our beliefs.. We are playing straight into their claws. Christ only is our real hope 🙏
This should not surprise you. In the end times there will be a failing away of many within the Church. That's why we are encouraged to study the bible for ourselves.
I believe this is exciting because this is exactly what it is supposed to happen right before Jesus comes or before Satan comes claiming he's Jesus. We're right on schedule... What did you think was going to happen.
There is no need for AD to respond to Matthew's claims. We are here to discuss and build each other up in the truth. In many ways we have departed from the original true message of 1844 and many of us need to go back and really read and study with God's help. I'm sure many people were asking questions and a reply seems Necessary. This movement within adventism that we need to all go by what the pioneers said is not good either. The pioneers were not in harmony on every particular by far. We need to study the Bible and The Spirit of Prophecy. It's ironic that people are rebelling against the ability to obey a d the testimonies when that is literally the definer of the church. Rev 12:17. Blessings to you all. Agreed. It totally refutes what he says in this video about prophecy in that 2 things cannot contradict each other. I believe that the Nashville series was an egregious manipulation of Ellen White’s writings. What the agenda behind it was is hard to say, nevertheless the outcome is still damning. It makes Adventism and Adventists look cultish and foolish in when in fact majority of Adventists are Bible believing Christians who want all people to understand the Bible for what it says and not through the lens of someone’s or some church’s personal, financial, or cultish agenda. When you read Ellen White’s writings for yourself and do not come in with an agenda, you’ll see that she was a Spirit-gifted person who recorded biblical truths in a society that started to become spiritually complacent because the Reformation was over. Protestants had taken their foot off of the gas and didn’t take the Reformation to its logical conclusions. Ellen White brought people back to the word of God through logical reasoning and her prophetic gift (a gift of the spirit [1 Cor 12:10]), instead of “mainstream interpretation” and fear mongering.
The Nashville videos was supposed to show the signs of the time, not to show that something was going to happen. The signs from the past, present and what EGW says will happen to that city at the end. You have to look at it in its context. But I see the opposite is happening instead.
@ This may have well been the intention, but in my opinion they did a very poor job of that. The guest speaker said that he has been chasing these eclipses since 2017 and making a documentary. They were making all kinds of speculations about the balls of fire and researching all of this information. I believe that some prophecies are left up not for present interpretation but for us to understand the meaning of them while they are taking place. What we should do is to have faith in God that His word is sure whether we live seeing them or we are dead waiting for the coming of the Lord. Job said, "I know that my redeemer liveth and that He shall stand upon upon the Earth in the latter day."

What I saw was just Ellen White after Ellen White quotes with no Bible, etc... listen, I have witnessed many time, people using a lot of Ellen White quotes to prove their delusional point. So I am very skeptical when Mckenzie is doing the same. Our foundation is not the writing of Ellen . it's the Bible that proves all doctrines and beliefs from scripture and then uses Ellen Writings to show she teaches the same as scriptures.

I have to say MacKenzie video on the eclipse being connected to the fireballs on Nashville was embarrassing and wrong. Maybe i need to watch the full 49 mins but i stopped paying attention to AD after that because they were not sharing facts anymore.
I watched those. They were cashing in on ad revenue over the viral nature of the eclipse. I mean it was huge news. They shoe horned in Ellen white's vision to make it seem plausible. The videos very short and in segments, ensuring additional ad revenue so as to keep people coming back for closure. People will call me an apostate and unloving for saying this, but AD has turned into a money hound since Walter left. A year back maybe, they encouraged people to come "learn" how to country at the end of a harvest season so they could get their viewers to do free labor for them on their massive land. Mckenzie said, "you'll want to come learn how to do these things from us because, well, this might be the last opportunity to prepare before Christ comes." I can probably find the video if you want. You'll even see my comment and the hatred I received for making the claim.
That video was not to show that something was going to happen to Nashville on the eclipse. It was there to show the signs of the times from past present and future ones. EGW does say that Nashville will get destroyed by fire balls in the end days. Are they here yet? No. This will probably happen after the Sunday law is passed. When God removes His protection of the US for forcing people to serve on a day
Getting lost in prophecy is not a smart thing to do. It usually ends in confusion and disappointment. Focus on Jesus instead and try to walk in his path and you have enough to do for the rest of your life.
E.G White did not endorse Uriah's book she said study the Daniel and Revelation. Have you read Uriah Smith's Daniel and Revelation? It is great until you get to Daniel 11 and then it chaos. If that book was inspired, it will be 100% and not 90% truth and 10% error.
Because it does not suit their fancies and most are, like the angels in heaven and Adam and Eve in the garden… hypnotized! Do not take hypnotism lightly.

Walter had already left AD, when he started "What's Up Prof?", in 2020. Also 2 years ago he made a statement acknowledging his departure from AD, and the name "Clash of Minds" , speaks for itself. 😊 He had a " clash of minds " with AD, that's why he and many others left. We can't know who we are or what we believe if we don't know our history. We as as Adventist, seventh day Adventist to be correct, have lost our way of being like Bereans. We like to take what present day pastors/preachers say instead of reading for ourselves using the Bible, History, SOP and the Pioneers. We have a strong foundation and platform that was laid out for us. But somehow we have forgotten it because hirelings have come in and distorted the truth and modern day SDA don't know anything of that. Anyone that try to go back to our foundations get clobbered while the ones who are propagating the lies (maybe unbeknownst to them) are looked at like heros. Please do your own research and stop relying on others to tell you what truth is.

AD got on the bandwagon of the false prophecy of the evangelicals of the prophecy of Jonah during the eclipse. They also claimed that nashville at the time of the eclipse would have a meteor strike based off a vision of egw. They took her vision and applied it to this time which was wrong and many told them it was wrong before it happened. They have yet to apologies for their false prophecy.
I appreciate AD and they have some very good content while I do not watch it all (there's a lot). Also, I watch many pastors and teachers and none of them are perfect. Who is correct about everything all the time? Men err and we can't all be right. Walter Veith is the one that said, it's hard to love the church :). I'm not saying who is right or wrong, but I believe both are true believers and seeking truth. It's interesting that Mckenzie didn't state that the 2520 was a "non-prophecy" as some such as Clash of Minds or Amazing Facts have said. If the 2520 is considered to be a relevant or legitimate prophecy than that would lead me to conclude that the 2300 days is not considered by AD to be the "longest time prophecy."

Bro Lawrence We are told there will be a shaking or drifting away. While I don’t believe division is of God I am not sure it can be avoided at this time in earth’s history; this is not to excuse or encourage but to point out it is an inevitability of the end times. Navigating this issue ( which I believe to be a very big one) is undoubtedly tricky. My belief is more and more of this will increase and it will cause many folks to really study the issues for themselves. Peace and safety brings with it comfort and apathy. I don’t like to see division any more than the next person but believe it to be a necessary process. We do emphatically need to approach it from a Christlike manner; always in love. With this in mind I think the issue needs to be addressed head on. I listened to Matthew’s videos first because they were available first. Then I listened to McKenzie’s response. I’ll be very honest I felt a sense of unease when listening to his response. To be transparent my views align with Matthew’s views. I know this already places me on a side but I am open to studying for myself McKenzie’s view. To distill this down I have the following problems with McKenzie’s response. He mentions “new light”. He mentions false teacher. He mentions the mystical or spiritualizing of scripture, he mentions Matthew did not study with him ( there may be other issues but this is what I can remember at this time). In regard to “new light” I have personally been dealing with this issue in our own family. The “new light “ mentioned to me is similar to what McKenzie mentions. It has caused confusion for some of my family members. Resulting in doubt about many of our beliefs including the Sabbath, state of the dead and a judgment. I have read the Great Controversy many times over the last several years and nowhere in it do I find support for what McKenzie is alluding to. Also the other pastors that he no doubt is referencing has to be gentleman such as Professor Walter Veith. There are many of our other conservative pastors who would also fall into this camp resulting in the label of false teacher. Frankly I have a problem with this reference and I don’t believe he (McKenzie) built his case sufficiently for calling someone a false teacher. Further he mentions spiritualizing of scripture. This is no doubt in reference to the preface, points 6 &7, of Uriah Smith’s book Daniel and the Revelation. Here Uriah Smith correctly describes this method as originating from Origen and to use this method is vain to hope for any uniform understanding of the Bible. I don’t believe this is the approach Mr Schanche or Pastor Veith had taken in their method of biblical interpretation. In fact if we do use Ellen White to be a guide in this point consider the following statement: Christ's servants are to do the same work. In our day, as of old, the vital truths of God's word are set aside for human theories and speculations. Many professed ministers of the gospel do not accept the whole Bible as the inspired word. One wise man rejects one portion; another questions another part. They set up their judgment as superior to the word; and the Scripture which they do teach rests upon their own authority. Its divine authenticity is destroyed. Thus the seeds of infidelity are sown broadcast; for the people become confused and know not what to believe. There are many beliefs that the mind has no right to entertain. In the days of Christ the rabbis put a forced, mysticalconstruction upon many portions of Scripture. Because the plain teaching of God's word condemned their practices, they tried to destroy its force. The same thing is done today. The word of God is made to appear mysterious and obscure in order to excuse transgression of His law. Christ rebuked these practices in His day. He taught that the word of God was to be understood by all. He pointed to the Scriptures as of unquestionable authority, and we should do the same. The Bible is to be presented as the word of the infinite God, as the end of all controversy and the foundation of all faith. COL 39.1 Obscurity and attempts to confuse the listener is not the goal of Matthew’s or Pastor Veith’s approach to teaching. One final point. I don’t know either of these individuals personally but I find it hard to believe Mr Schanche and Mr Drebit did not study or discuss these issues together. From the simple fact of cohosting Truth Matters there should have been study. If Matthew was fired or let go without proper due diligence, which would include hashing out the difference in opinions, then what credibility is there really in further response from AD? Jesus spoke of perilous times as we get nearer to His coming. He said watch, take heed that no one deceives you. So I ask each of you, my brothers and sisters, to watch, pray and study this out for yourselves. We are not called to be disciples of McKenzie or Matthew but of Jesus Christ!
Wow, you said Smith followed the methodology of Origen? Where did you get that from? If anything, Louis Were, is the one that brought Origen's false theories to Adventism. This is why there are so many confusions in the church. But I'm glad you said you wouldn't mind studying together. 🙏

My main point is that I feel MacKenzie, since he’s referring to Smith’s book, is using a statement from the Preface which basically puts forth two methods of interpretation. He’s placing Matthew in the camp of spiritualizing or a mystical approach to the Scriptures. I don’t think this is the case at all. Pastor Walter Veith and many others for that matter have the same view as what Matthew is stating thus far. There is a literal fulfillment and a spiritual fulfillment. I don’t think we are look for a literal battle of Armageddon. We are spiritual Israel. The mark of the beast is a spiritual test not some chip or shot or some other physical component. What I mainly got from his response was a lot of side stepping and contextual error that he was creating to cover the errors of AD theology. Also that he was basically calling Matthew a liar. We can't be in both their heads or know the full truth of each other's claims. What we can do is judge each by their fruits by testing them by the Bible. Are they speaking the truth? Im just going point by point watching McKenzie's comments. He initially said that what the "party" said was not true and if they studied with them they would know what AD's beliefs are. Well is he trying to say that Matthew never studied with him. I find that hard to believe since they did Truth Matters together.

He did, but if you noticed, he did not address the issues Matthew was pointing to. If you can, watch how Mackenzie addresses the “is the 2520” matter salvational. Instead of a simple yes or no, he goes on a whole tangent about the foundations and the pillars, and never actually says what they are teaching on this. I inferred that to mean what Matthew was saying is correct. If he had lied then it would have been a clear, “we do not teach 2520 is salvational” from AD. Instead, we got a “if you don’t accept these as the old paths, you’re lost” vibe. Which, again, is kind of giving Matthew’s account more validity. From what I gathered, it’s seems like Matthew’s stance is more about choose for yourself what you believe, and AD’s is if you don’t believe as we do you’re lost. Just my two cents.

Before Turkey is the nation north of the land of Israel there is Lebanon and Syria. If one was going to take a literal approach to the king of the north, why bypass these nations and select Turkey? I understand that some of the pioneers took a literal approach (but not James White) and understood Turkey as the king of the north but that was because Lebanon and Syria did not exist as separate nations at that time. Would it not be worth considering that the king of the north was the nation whose armies entered Israel from that direction rather than the territory directly north and therefore the likes of Babylon could qualify as that king? Seleucid originally had his capital in Babylon.
So his first point about Islam and the geographical locations of the KON and KOS is already flawed and this man claims to be an SDA? Every teacher and Pastor I have heard on this subject have all said the. KON and KOS are spiritual references not literal ones. For him to say that the early church fathers of SDA had all the light and we should only follow that light is ludicrous. The Bible and SOP is where we draw our light from, not men from the early church. The Daniel 11 interpretation has been and still is in contention amongst many Biblical scholars within our church. The SDA church never had fathers. They were pioneers. When any church turns their back on their pioneers they go straight to Rome and Sunday worship. Every teacher in the SDA church since 1940, have been imbibing the false doctrines brought in by Leroy Froom and Louis Were.

The main issue regarding AD's stance is they believe all the teachings of Uriah Smith as if it's as inspired as Ellen White's writings, which it's not. Also it's important to note that not all the pioneers saw eye to eye on everything. It seems that most of the pioneers had a spiritual understanding of the KON and KOS concept which Clash of Minds also holds to, but AD holds to Uriah Smith's view which seems to be contrary to the majority of SDA pioneers.

When I watched ADs camp meeting 2024 I really felt like they lost the plot. Also the hype regarding the Nashville incident which they covered was really conspiratorial and also concerning, their credibility is starting to become questionable.

I recall a brother preaching and said, many RUclips SDA evangelists begin sharing the truth, and they get a couple of hundred hits, but then they find that they can get more hits by tearing down the SDA church. Look at how many SDA’s are choosing sides on an issue that the vast majority really could explain if asked to present in from of a non believer. I believe that it is a mistake to separate ourselves from our brothers just because we understand or hold a different view in regards to the king of the north and south. We can disagree on somethings as long as they are not salvational. We have 28 beliefs, we can not take 25 and leave 2 and say i do not agree. Anything other than that we can disagree. Some may disagree on when we are sealed, before sunday law all together with the rest, ehat matters is that we ve ready to be sealed today and live accordingly. I think maybe you’ve missed the point that AD has made these issues a matter of salvation, hence why Matthew was sharing the way he felt otherwise and why he was let go because of it. I agree it is sad to see our brothers at odds with one another.
I'm glad I am simple and believe Jesus as a child... I've seen so much non Christian behaviour in our church and it's organised charities recently that it's enough to think our church is rife with Catholicism and deceit but I know the Lord is guiding me into His light and giving my souls to help and love so I can walk in His footsteps

The pioneers were not in harmony on every particular by far. We need to study the Bible and The Spirit of Prophecy. She only steps in when there's an error or there's something that they can't come in agreement with, then God gives a vision to clarify or make the truth plan. Agreed. It totally refutes what he says in this video about prophecy in that 2 things cannot contradict each other. I believe that the Nashville series was an egregious manipulation of Ellen White’s writings. What the agenda behind it was is hard to say, nevertheless the outcome is still damning. It makes Adventism and Adventists look cultish and foolish in when in fact majority of Adventists are Bible believing Christians who want all people to understand the Bible for what it says and not through the lens of someone’s or some church’s personal, financial, or cultish agenda. When you read Ellen White’s writings for yourself and do not come in with an agenda, you’ll see that she was a Spirit-gifted person who recorded biblical truths in a society that started to become spiritually complacent because the Reformation was over. Protestants had taken their foot off of the gas and didn’t take the Reformation to its logical conclusions. Ellen White brought people back to the word of God through logical reasoning and her prophetic gift (a gift of the spirit [1 Cor 12:10]), instead of “mainstream interpretation” and fear mongering.
The Nashville videos was supposed to show the signs of the time, not to show that something was going to happen. The signs from the past, present and what EGW says will happen to that city at the end. You have to look at it in its context. But I see the opposite is happening instead.
@ This may have well been the intention, but in my opinion they did a very poor job of that. The guest speaker said that he has been chasing these eclipses since 2017 and making a documentary. They were making all kinds of speculations about the balls of fire and researching all of this information. I believe that some prophecies are left up not for present interpretation but for us to understand the meaning of them while they are taking place. What we should do is to have faith in God that His word is sure whether we live seeing them or we are dead waiting for the coming of the Lord. What I saw was just Ellen White after Ellen White quotes with no Bible, etc... listen, I have witnessed many time, people using a lot of Ellen White quotes to prove their delusional point. So I am very skeptical when Mckenzie is doing the same.
Our foundation is not the writing of Ellen . it's the Bible that proves all doctrines and beliefs from scripture and then uses Ellen Writings to show she teaches the same as scriptures.

I have to say MacKenzie video on the eclipse being connected to the fireballs on Nashville was embarrassing and wrong. Maybe i need to watch the full 49 mins but i stopped paying attention to AD after that because they were not sharing facts anymore.

I watched those. They were cashing in on ad revenue over the viral nature of the eclipse. I mean it was huge news. They shoe horned in Ellen white's vision to make it seem plausible. The videos very short and in segments, ensuring additional ad revenue so as to keep people coming back for closure.
People will call me an apostate and unloving for saying this, but AD has turned into a money hound since Walter left. A year back maybe, they encouraged people to come "learn" how to country at the end of a harvest season so they could get their viewers to do free labor for them on their massive land. Mckenzie said, "you'll want to come learn how to do these things from us because, well, this might be the last opportunity to prepare before Christ comes."

EGW does say that Nashville will get destroyed by fire balls in the end days. Are they here yet? No. This will probably happen after the Sunday law is passed. Getting lost in prophecy is not a smart thing to do. It usually ends in confusion and disappointment. Focus on Jesus instead and try to walk in his path and you have enough to do for the rest of your life.

E.G White did not endorse Uriah's book she said study the Daniel and Revelation. Have you read Uriah Smith's Daniel and Revelation? It is great until you get to Daniel 11 and then it chaos. If that book was inspired, it will be 100% and not 90% truth and 10% error.
Because it does not suit their fancies and most are, like the angels in heaven and Adam and Eve in the garden… hypnotized! Do not take hypnotism lightly.

Walter had already left AD, when he started "What's Up Prof?", in 2020. Also 2 years ago he made a statement acknowledging his departure from AD, and the name "Clash of Minds" , speaks for itself. 😊 He had a " clash of minds " with AD, that's why he and many others left. We can't know who we are or what we believe if we don't know our history. We as as Adventist, seventh day Adventist to be correct, have lost our way of being like Bereans. We like to take what present day pastors/preachers say instead of reading for ourselves using the Bible, History, SOP and the Pioneers. We have a strong foundation and platform that was laid out for us. But somehow we have forgotten it because hirelings have come in and distorted the truth and modern day SDA don't know anything of that. Anyone that try to go back to our foundations get clobbered while the ones who are propagating the lies (maybe unbeknownst to them) are looked at like heros. Please do your own research and stop relying on others to tell you what truth is.

AD got on the bandwagon of the false prophecy of the evangelicals of the prophecy of Jonah during the eclipse.
They also claimed that nashville at the time of the eclipse would have a meteor strike based off a vision of egw.
They took her vision and applied it to this time which was wrong and many told them it was wrong before it happened.
They have yet to apologies for their false prophecy.
I appreciate AD and they have some very good content while I do not watch it all (there's a lot). Also, I watch many pastors and teachers and none of them are perfect. Who is correct about everything all the time? Men err and we can't all be right. Walter Veith is the one that said, it's hard to love the church :). I'm not saying who is right or wrong, but I believe both are true believers and seeking truth. It's interesting that Mckenzie didn't state that the 2520 was a "non-prophecy" as some such as Clash of Minds or Amazing Facts have said. If the 2520 is considered to be a relevant or legitimate prophecy than that would lead me to conclude that the 2300 days is not considered by AD to be the "longest time prophecy."
So dirty and insulting that MacKenzie stated that Matthew Schanche is a liar and leave it like that. So sad to see the spiritual attacks to truth.

We are told there will be a shaking or drifting away. While I don’t believe division is of God I am not sure it can be avoided at this time in earth’s history; this is not to excuse or encourage but to point out it is an inevitability of the end times.
Navigating this issue ( which I believe to be a very big one) is undoubtedly tricky. My belief is more and more of this will increase and it will cause many folks to really study the issues for themselves. Peace and safety brings with it comfort and apathy. I don’t like to see division any more than the next person but believe it to be a necessary process.
We do emphatically need to approach it from a Christlike manner; always in love.
With this in mind I think the issue needs to be addressed head on.
I listened to Matthew’s videos first because they were available first. Then I listened to McKenzie’s response. I’ll be very honest I felt a sense of unease when listening to his response.
To be transparent my views align with Matthew’s views. I know this already places me on a side but I am open to studying for myself McKenzie’s view.
To distill this down I have the following problems with McKenzie’s response.
He mentions “new light”. He mentions false teacher. He mentions the mystical or spiritualizing of scripture, he mentions Matthew did not study with him ( there may be other issues but this is what I can remember at this time).
In regard to “new light” I have personally been dealing with this issue in our own family. The “new light “ mentioned to me is similar to what McKenzie mentions. It has caused confusion for some of my family members. Resulting in doubt about many of our beliefs including the Sabbath, state of the dead and a judgment.
I have read the Great Controversy many times over the last several years and nowhere in it do I find support for what McKenzie is alluding to. Also the other pastors that he no doubt is referencing has to be gentleman such as Professor Walter Veith. There are many of our other conservative pastors who would also fall into this camp resulting in the label of false teacher.
Frankly I have a problem with this reference and I don’t believe he (McKenzie) built his case sufficiently for calling someone a false teacher.
Further he mentions spiritualizing of scripture. This is no doubt in reference to the preface, points 6 &7, of Uriah Smith’s book Daniel and the Revelation. Here Uriah Smith correctly describes this method as originating from Origen and to use this method is vain to hope for any uniform understanding of the Bible.
I don’t believe this is the approach Mr Schanche or Pastor Veith had taken in their method of biblical interpretation.
In fact if we do use Ellen White to be a guide in this point consider the following statement:
Christ's servants are to do the same work. In our day, as of old, the vital truths of God's word are set aside for human theories and speculations. Many professed ministers of the gospel do not accept the whole Bible as the inspired word. One wise man rejects one portion; another questions another part. They set up their judgment as superior to the word; and the Scripture which they do teach rests upon their own authority. Its divine authenticity is destroyed. Thus the seeds of infidelity are sown broadcast; for the people become confused and know not what to believe. There are many beliefs that the mind has no right to entertain. In the days of Christ the rabbis put a forced, mysticalconstruction upon many portions of Scripture. Because the plain teaching of God's word condemned their practices, they tried to destroy its force. The same thing is done today. The word of God is made to appear mysterious and obscure in order to excuse transgression of His law. Christ rebuked these practices in His day. He taught that the word of God was to be understood by all. He pointed to the Scriptures as of unquestionable authority, and we should do the same. The Bible is to be presented as the word of the infinite God, as the end of all controversy and the foundation of all faith. COL 39.1
Obscurity and attempts to confuse the listener is not the goal of Matthew’s or Pastor Veith’s approach to teaching.
One final point. I don’t know either of these individuals personally but I find it hard to believe Mr Schanche and Mr Drebit did not study or discuss these issues together. From the simple fact of cohosting Truth Matters there should have been study. If Matthew was fired or let go without proper due diligence, which would include hashing out the difference in opinions, then what credibility is there really in further response from AD?
Jesus spoke of perilous times as we get nearer to His coming. He said watch, take heed that no one deceives you.
So I ask each of you, my brothers and sisters, to watch, pray and study this out for yourselves.
We are not called to be disciples of McKenzie or Matthew but of Jesus Christ!
Wow, you said Smith followed the methodology of Origen? Where did you get that from? If anything, Louis Were, is the one that brought Origen's false theories to Adventism. This is why there are so many confusions in the church. But I'm glad you said you wouldn't mind studying together. 🙏
@ not what I said. Mackenzie is referring to a statement in Smiths book that speaks of Origens method. Mackenzie is saying Matthew is spiritualizing the Bible. I used that as a point that if you know anything about Origens method it’s sure to think Matthew or Walter Veith are using that method.

@ yes she did endorse his book. My main point is that I feel MacKenzie, since he’s referring to Smith’s book, is using a statement from the Preface which basically puts forth two methods of interpretation. He’s placing Matthew in the camp of spiritualizing or a mystical approach to the Scriptures. I don’t think this is the case at all. Pastor Walter Veith and many others for that matter have the same view as what Matthew is stating thus far.
There is a literal fulfillment and a spiritual fulfillment. I don’t think we are look for a literal battle of Armageddon. We are spiritual Israel. The mark of the beast is a spiritual test not some chip or shot or some other physical component. I know we probably all believe that. My point is Matthew stated a spiritual and literal, type and anti type, view. Mackenzie said you can’t have both. I’m not sure where he’s going with that train of thought.

Tjw writings of Paul in Galatians, Romans etc all show the spiritual aspect. But it's a different ball game when a symbol is shown and the angel of yeh Lord comes and says this is the meaning (literal) the for people to turn around and use what is suppose to be literal into spiritual. Daniel 11 is literal as it's the angel's interpretation to give the literal explanation. Anything else besides what history shows is spiritualizing the text.

What I mainly got from his response was a lot of side stepping and contextual error that he was creating to cover the errors of AD theology. Also that he was basically calling Matthew a liar. We can't be in both their heads or know the full truth of each other's claims. What we can do is judge each by their fruits by testing them by the Bible. Are they speaking the truth? We'll have to see.

Im just going point by point watching McKenzie's comments. He initially said that what the "party" said was not true and if they studied with them they would know what AD's beliefs are. Well is he trying to say that Matthew never studied with him. I find that hard to believe since they did Truth Matters together.

He did, but if you noticed, he did not address the issues Matthew was pointing to. If you can, watch how Mackenzie addresses the “is the 2520” matter salvational. Instead of a simple yes or no, he goes on a whole tangent about the foundations and the pillars, and never actually says what they are teaching on this. I inferred that to mean what Matthew was saying is correct. If he had lied then it would have been a clear, “we do not teach 2520 is salvational” from AD.
Instead, we got a “if you don’t accept these as the old paths, you’re lost” vibe. Which, again, is kind of giving Matthew’s account more validity.
From what I gathered, it’s seems like Matthew’s stance is more about choose for yourself what you believe, and AD’s is if you don’t believe as we do you’re lost. Just my two cents.

Before Turkey is the nation north of the land of Israel there is Lebanon and Syria. If one was going to take a literal approach to the king of the north, why bypass these nations and select Turkey? I understand that some of the pioneers took a literal approach (but not James White) and understood Turkey as the king of the north but that was because Lebanon and Syria did not exist as separate nations at that time. Would it not be worth considering that the king of the north was the nation whose armies entered Israel from that direction rather than the territory directly north and therefore the likes of Babylon could qualify as that king? Seleucid originally had his capital in Babylon.
So his first point about Islam and the geographical locations of the KON and KOS is already flawed and this man claims to be an SDA? Every teacher and Pastor I have heard on this subject have all said the. KON and KOS are spiritual references not literal ones. For him to say that the early church fathers of SDA had all the light and we should only follow that light is ludicrous. The Bible and SOP is where we draw our light from, not men from the early church. The Daniel 11 interpretation has been and still is in contention amongst many Biblical scholars within our church. There is a yearly Daniel 11 conference where many scholars get together to dicuss the interpretation of Daniel 11. Im pretty sure I haven't seen McKenzie's interpretation from any of them.
The SDA church never had fathers. They were pioneers. When any church turns their back on their pioneers they go straight to Rome and Sunday worship. Every teacher in the SDA church since 1940, have been imbibing the false doctrines brought in by Leroy Froom and Louis Were.

When I see that term used to define leaders of the church it does not resonate as the same as pioneers. The church fathers, after the disciples twisted scripture to meet their fancies. My apologies.
The main issue regarding AD's stance is they believe all the teachings of Uriah Smith as if it's as inspired as Ellen White's writings, which it's not. Also it's important to note that not all the pioneers saw eye to eye on everything. It seems that most of the pioneers had a spiritual understanding of the KON and KOS concept which Clash of Minds also holds to, but AD holds to Uriah Smith's view which seems to be contrary to the majority of SDA pioneers.

I recall a brother preaching and said, many RUclips SDA evangelists begin sharing the truth, and they get a couple of hundred hits, but then they find that they can get more hits by tearing down the SDA church. Look at how many SDA’s are choosing sides on an issue that the vast majority really could explain if asked to present in from of a non believer. The hatred and variance that this type of channel presents is causing so many to lose their footing. Lawrence has been one a stumbling block.

I believe that it is a mistake to separate ourselves from our brothers just because we understand or hold a different view in regards to the king of the north and south.
We can disagree on somethings as long as they are not salvational.
We have 28 beliefs, we can not take 25 and leave 2 and say i do not agree. Anything other than that we can disagree.
Some may disagree on when we are sealed, before sunday law all together with the rest, ehat matters is that we ve ready to be sealed today and live accordingly.
We have to unite and push together, work as one as Jesus prayed for it to be.
Yet many divide and loose the strenght we could have if we pushed together.
This was a mistake.

I think maybe you’ve missed the point that AD has made these issues a matter of salvation, hence why Matthew was sharing the way he felt otherwise and why he was let go because of it.
