We also know Adam walked with God and it was not till Eve and Adam ate the fruit that was forbidden that they fell from grace. How many years did Adam walked with God in the garden and did he turn against God after they were cast from the garden? How old was Adam when he died? There were no laws written in Genesis yet we see Abraham being good in God's eyes and we see Noah being in God's grace which also occurred in Genesis. The word Sabbath we see in Exodus and became the 4th Commandment from God. This does not mean that the Sabbath was not followed or used prior.

God doesn't change, the 7th day Sabbath is the day of rest. Hebrews 13:8 New King James Version 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Exodus 20:8-11 New King James Version 8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. God's Sabbath and Israel's Sabbath are different. In Genesis Chapter 1 verse 1 - 2 we read, in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and covered with darkness while a mighty wind swept over the waters. Day 1. Then God created light and he separated light from darkness. Day 2. God created a dome that separated the waters below and above. Day 3. God made the dry land appeared. He called the dry land earth and the water the sea. He created the vegetation. Day 4. He created light to separate day and night. He created fixed times, seasons, days and years. He made two great lights to rule the day and the night (sun and moon?). Day 5. Then God created sea creatures, birds Day 6. God created animals, beasts and man. Notice that God's day 1, day 2, day 3 were not depended upon the sunlight or the shadow of the earth that caused our day and night. This is to say, God's day and night are not the same as our day and night which is a 24 hours cycle. In the 10 commandments, God commanded the nation of Israel to keep the Sabbath rest just as he had rested on the 7th day after the completion of his creation. Thus, Israel's Sabbath is just a foreshadow of God's Sabbath. It is just a copy. Now, if we try to keep Israel's Sabbath then it should be from sunset on Friday to sunset on Saturday. However, if we are in Norway, or at the North pole, how will we observe the lengthy Sabbath day during April to August where the sun shines for about half a year? Also, if we claim to observe Israel's Sabbath, then people all over the world especially the so called Sabbath keepers like the Seventh Day Adventists should keep the Sabbath exactly at the same time the Jews in Israel keep their Sabbath. But this will violate the principle of sunset to sunset in other parts of the world, like Norway. Therefore, it is not possible to keep Israel's Sabbath. So far we have seen that Israel's Sabbath and God's Sabbath are different. We have also seen that we can't keep Israel's Sabbath too. But then Christians are the new Israel and Jesus did not come to do away with the law but to fulfill it. So what about the new Sabbath? Jesus said, come to me, all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest. What does this rest mean? Is it the same thing as Paul talked about entering God's rest in Hebrews 4 : 1 - 11? Paul said Israel did not enter into God's rest when they entered into the land of Canaan. That is why Paul further said God spoke of another day to enter into God's rest. Paul then exhorted the Hebrews to enter into that rest the day they hear God's voice without hardening their heart. From this passage, we see that God's rest, or God's Sabbath is not about 7 day cycle but about finding our salvation in Jesus Christ. In the gospel, Jesus said that his Father is always working and likewise he was doing the same. This raises a question of how could God work always but still have his rest on the 7th day? The only logical explanation is that God rested from creating new things but he did not rest from sustaining the things he created already. Thus, every day (24 hours day of our day) is a Sabbath day for God till he the day he creates the new heaven and the new earth. And since we are to keep the new Sabbath, or God's Sabbath, of which Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath, everyday should be a Sabbath day for us. We have found our rest in Jesus Christ. We don't have to roam restlessly to find rest in Judaism, Islam or Hinduism or Budhism....
I find it interesting how many new testament churches do not use Sunday as a day of rest. They often go out to eat before/after church having people serve them leaving lousy tips and Bible tracts. We are in the world but not OF the world. Could you imagine if Christians, regardless of Sat or Sun Sabbath keepers, went to church and straight home and did not grocery shop, go out to eat, etc....we would see a shift in commerce!

Rest means, your spirit is at peace and you are worshipping God in your spirit, not your physical body going to the building where you meet your other fellow believers to worship on that Saturday. Those under the law must meet all the demands to be reckoned as righteous. Why is that ? Because the law has already declared that, there is none righteous, no, not one. Under the dispensation of grace, righteousness is given ( 1Cor.1:30, 2 Cor.5:21, Eph.4: 24 ). You don't have to work hard for it ( righteousness ). You only need to receive Jesus Christ the King of glory and King of righteousness to be declared righteous. Today is the day of salvation. Receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and receive the gift of righteousness. Righteousness here means, right standing with God. God Almighty sees you through Jesus Christ, the mediator between man and God Almighty.

Rome has imposed their calendar on the world, which they have modified several times since Romulus first did away with the lunar solar calender, specifically the new moon day as the 1st day of the month. I've noticed that people use this scripture Mark 2:27-28 a lot to prove that since Yeshua rose on a Sunday this means the Sabbath changed to Sunday. The Catholic church clearly states in many instances it is by them alone and not scripture that they changed it from Saturday to Sunday and also changed it in order to not be like the Jews in any way. They hated that the early Christians were a lot like the Jewish community.

God's Sabbath and Israel's Sabbath are different. In Genesis Chapter 1 verse 1 - 2 we read, in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and covered with darkness while a mighty wind swept over the waters. Day 1. Then God created light and he separated light from darkness. Day 2. God created a dome that separated the waters below and above. Day 3. God made the dry land appeared. He called the dry land earth and the water the sea. He created the vegetation. Day 4. He created light to separate day and night. He created fixed times, seasons, days and years. He made two great lights to rule the day and the night (sun and moon?). Day 5. Then God created sea creatures, birds Day 6. God created animals, beasts and man. Notice that God's day 1, day 2, day 3 were not depended upon the sunlight or the shadow of the earth that caused our day and night. This is to say, God's day and night are not the same as our day and night which is a 24 hours cycle. In the 10 commandments, God commanded the nation of Israel to keep the Sabbath rest just as he had rested on the 7th day after the completion of his creation. Thus, Israel's Sabbath is just a foreshadow of God's Sabbath. It is just a copy. Now, if we try to keep Israel's Sabbath then it should be from sunset on Friday to sunset on Saturday. According to early church Jewish christain scholars, Jesus rose on Sunday, walked the earth for 40 days, ascended to heaven, then 10 days later Pentecost occurred, which was on a Sunday. There is plenty of historical documentation which supports this timeline, all dating back to the first century.
We are to WORSHIP God on the first day of the week as did the early church. We are to REST on the Sabbath. Read the Word of God, not the words of a woman (or a man).

You should also be Worshipping Him on the very hours that He broke the power of sin and death over your life. How can you claim your God(The Savior) as your Savior, when you can not acknowledge HIS RESURRECTION in your life. Read and Study Mathew 28 and you will see, Mary Magdalene and Christ's Disples actually worshiped the Lord Jesus the morning hours after He was Resurrected.

The ten commandments were given to the Israelites before the book of Genesis was put together by Moses this is probably why it was not fully included. But there are somethings still included about the Sabbath rest such as Genesis 2:2-3 KJV [2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. [3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Also we can see that altars and sacrifices were established at the beginning because Cain and Abel and Abraham all made sacrifices. I believe the 10 commandments and the sacrificial offering (pointing to Jesus Christ) were established at the beginning of creation and the Israelites got a "refresher" with Moses because they were not allowed to keep God's traditions while in captivity in Egypt and they forgot what they should be doing. Also a large portion of those who left Egypt with them were Egyptian who had no knowledge of any of this. Hope that helps.
Sabbath is the 4th Commandment of God written on stone. It is not a rule, an ordinance or statute associated with any side-laws that God enforced on the Israelites, like for instance "you must not eat swine meat". You can not simply omit one and choose to keep only nine Commandments. God warned that anyone who adds to his Word or omits from his Word intentionally will be either added or omitted likewise!
I always wondered why we had church on Sunday instead of Saturday. In Spanish Saturday is Sabado, which sounds a lot like Sabbath to me. It always bugged me as a child, this explains a lot.

@Lifehopeandtruth With all due respect, Saturday literally translated into Spanish is Dia de Saturnalia, or the DAY of Saturn. It does not translate to sabado, or sabbath! The Gregorian calendar is a Roman Jesuit man made calendar, and they are the ones that named the 7th day on that calendar as the sabado in Spanish. Initially, the Satur-day (the day of Saturn) on that calendar was the first day of the week while Sun-day was the 2nd day of the week. Rome then made a change of their calendar to exalt their Sun-day by making it the 1st day of the week, and renaming the 7th day as Saturns-day. Daniel 7:25. Rome would attempt to change the calendar and the law. Yahweh's calendar instruments are in the FIRMament. I would only add that the influence of Constantine the Great’s mother, St. Helena (Flavia Julia) is not to be underestimated. She lived to a very old age, until 330 AD, with Constantine not dying until 337 AD. Constantine himself did not accept Christianity and truly “convert” until his deathbed, where he agreed to be baptized. Also, and it’s understandable that this video did not want to emphasize it - because most writers and lecturers do not - but there grew up over the first 300 years of Christianity a great deal of antisemitism and resentment toward the Jews and Judaism for the fact that there had not been a wholesale conversion of the Jews to Christianity. Some writers (but very few) add this uncomfortable fact to the analysis and acknowledge that the change of Sabbath Worship was to differentiate the worship of Christians to show that they were not just a Jewish sect. After the Council of Laodicea in 365 AD, the replacement of the observance and celebration of all the traditional Jewish holy days and festivals quickly followed with their replacement by new Christian ones. Only the celebration of Pentecost remains loosely with the Passover Shavuot in Judaism - where the 50 days (“Pentecost”) after Passover is observed - whereas Christians observe the 50 days after the Resurrection. Just to clarify, none of the laws were Moses'. They were God's law given through Moses. Nehemiah uses the book of the law of God and the book of the law of Moses interchangeably. Sabbath was even practiced prior to the law & 10 Commandments in Exodus 16.

For a Christian though, one is to live from the spirit in all things, every day. This means that every day is supposed to be spent in communion with HaShem. Whether in work or leisure makes not difference, every day is now a sabbath day, because it's not about work or leisure or even regulations, it's about relationship with The Father.
Are u sure that it is Saturday? Sabbath means rest not Saturn's day. Study the relevance of New moon in the bible. Paul is preaching on sabbath day doesn't mean it's Saturday. Please study the history of calendar and the bible calendar. They are not the same as you think it is.

They Changed Isa.58 from Jewish people keeping the Sabbath to Christians keeping the Sabbath, when it says no such thing. 9. They changed the word "From" in Isa.66:22-24 to the word, "ON" . 10. They Changed the Sabbaths and Holy Days of Lev. 23 * the commandment to ignore God's law and THINK to change God's law and times* 11. They Changed the fact that Lev. 23:1-2 shows that *"EVEN" THE SABBATH DAY* is a Feast, to the Sabbath day ISN'T a feast. 12. They Changed the MORAL obligation and commandment of God to keep the Feasts (all of them) as God had instructed Israel, to "ceremonial law" so they could ignore it (1John 3:4) 13. They changed the tithe that belong to the Levitical Priests, to tithing to the SDA, - nowhere in the scriptures. 14. They changed The Harlot as clearly spelled out as Old Testament Israel to whom the Sabbath was given to keep, and claims it is now the Church of Rome when that is NOWHERE in scripture. 15. I like this comment very much. Ellen G White was in error. SDA trusts her more than God. They refuse the fulfilment of the Sabbath in Christ in favour of EGW's visions. They don't even understand God's grace in the New Testament of The Lord Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit open their eyes.
Without sitting and writing a book only going to make one comment; the Ten Commandments were not made for just the Jews, they were made for man. In fact at the time they were written there was no Jews or Israel only the Hebrews fleeing their bondage from Egypt. The 4th Commandment is one of those God gave them and being such applies as do all. To break one is to break them all and that is straight out of God's word should you wish to research.

Have you any clue as to how many religious doctrines are out there calling themselves Christians? Indeed! Colossians 2:14 & Ephesians 2:15 are taking about MAN-MADE decrees ("dogma"), and not the perfect Law of God. To be more specific, they're talking about the man-made decree which forbade the Jews from associating with uncircumcised Gentiles (see Acts 10:28). That's why both passages are surrounded by talk of circumcision. That was the "hostility" between the two groups (Jews & Gentiles) which Yeshua "nailed to the Cross".
Praise Abba Father for showing you this truth. I have been trying to tell people this for years but no-one wants to listen. The English translators got it very wrong when they chose the word 'ordinances' when the Greek word used should have been translated 'dogmas'.
The question one should ask is : who created and name days of the week? I think what matters is observing the holiday of sabbath not the name of the day because, we don’t have the same time zones and calendars as well.

Sabbath is Saturday sun up to sun down. God's blessed and holy day does not start in the dark. God seperated the day from the night, light from darkness. We are children of the light, not of darkness. Sarah's children live in darkness. The new Jerusalem does not have any darkness in it. It will always be light. God said to keep the Sabbath on the Seventh day & not Saturday. In the time of Moses there was no Saturday or Sunday. Sabbath is to rest/cease work, have a holy convocation and in the prophets it shows no buying or selling. Gathering with other believers while ceasing from commerce and work would be rest Scripturally.
That's actually heresy. We go to church on Sunday because Jesus resurrected on Sunday. That's when the first followers of Jesus met. Read Revelation 21:6-8 Jesus does not say anything about keeping the sabbath.

Most of the countries name for our Gregorian Saturday is a word for Sabbath. Additionally, in scripture the word used for "preparation day" is paraskevi. In 2 non-canonical books, the Didache and Martyrdom of Polycarp, the word is for "preparation day" is also paraskevi. When you look up the Greek days of the week, Friday is, to date, called paraskevi. This verifies that Saturday is Sabbath. The names have changed, but the cycle has not. I hope that helps.
God's calendar was never an 8 day calendar. Enoch, Jubilees and the dead sea scrolls all agree that the calendar has always been 7 days and the day begins at sunrise, not evening. 364 days completed the year.
I am living under the dispensation of grace ( 3:2 ). God has given a measure of faith ( Rom.12;3 ) to access grace. Without faith, there's no way to access God's grace. We are leaving Grace because all are sinners hence condemned to death. This doesn't make void the Laws of God (expression of righteousness). Grace still abides because the laws of God are eternal. The law points us(sinners) to Jesus our redemption. Jesus Christ doesn't call sinners to sin(break His laws) but repent from all sins and begins leaving a righteous life(obedience life in accordance with God's law) by the indwelling of the holy spirit. If you had actually read the Gospels, you would know that the disciples were in hiding and the event was on Sunday _night,_ by which time it was no longer the first day of the week according to the Jewish calendar. In Revelation 1:10, the reference to the Lord’s day does not refer to a Sunday church service. It at most means after the sabbath was over (e.g. Saturday night). It may also be just another way of saying 'the day of the Lord', which is how the ISV translates it. In any event, it is not described as a day on which believers had some kind of gathering; all it tells us is that John was 'in the spirit' on that day.

A gross misrepresentation of the facts. For eg. Genesis does not say that God rested on Saturday. Neither does it say that anyone was commanded by God to keep Saturday holy. Although the days of creation were literal, they were not said to be 24 hour days. The inspired author of the book of Hebrews refers to God's rest as transcending centuries, even millenia. He makes reference to God entering his rest on the seventh day, and israelites failed to enter that rest centuries later. How could they have at that time fail to enter something that happened in a 24hour period centuries before. In fact the writer invites us to enter same rest in our day. Clearly god is still at rest and so we join him in it by faith in his son. The weekly sabbath commanded by God god to Israel could only have been a shadow of the true sabbath, as Colossians clearly says. Dont allow these rebellious men to deceive you.

We also know Adam walked with God and it was not till Eve and Adam ate the fruit that was forbidden that they fell from grace. How many years did Adam walked with God in the garden and did he turn against God after they were cast from the garden? How old was Adam when he died? There were no laws written in Genesis yet we see Abraham being good in God's eyes and we see Noah being in God's grace which also occurred in Genesis. The word Sabbath we see in Exodus and became the 4th Commandment from God. This does not mean that the Sabbath was not followed or used prior.

SABBATH TO SALVATION
Jesus is the END of the law for righteousness. Righteousness is acquired by faith, that is, believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. Moses had no laws to give. The laws were all from God. The law of God and the law of Moses are used interchangeably in Nehemiah chapter 8. Men cannot keep or obey perfectly the ten commandments or all 613 Old Testament laws. Justification is impossible if one law is broken while trying to live under the law, that's why Jesus is needed who is the believer's "wisdom, righteousness, redemption, and sanctification (1 Corinthians 1:30)." Justification is by faith in Christ (Romans 5:1) who is the object of perfection. The law or the ten commandments are the schoolmaster that leads to Christ. However, believers are not lawless, but have the moral law of God contained in the New Testament commandments of Christ of which there are 21 sets of 7. For example, Jesus did not say, "Remember the sabbath day...," but said rather, "REMEMBER LOT'S WIFE. According to the terms or Commandments of the New Testament, the sabbath was a Jewish ceremonial law that pointed to Christ and has nothing to with the gospel or the gentiles (see Numbers 28:9, 10 and Colossians 2 16:17), etc.
CONCLUSION: Living under the New Testament is trusting in the merits of Christ (his grace and righteousness) to save you. SABBATH TO SALVATION
Jesus is the END of the law for righteousness. Righteousness is acquired by faith, that is, believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. Moses had no laws to give. The laws were all from God. The law of God and the law of Moses are used interchangeably in Nehemiah chapter 8. Men cannot keep or obey perfectly the ten commandments or all 613 Old Testament laws. Justification is impossible if one law is broken while trying to live under the law, that's why Jesus is needed who is the believer's "wisdom, righteousness, redemption, and sanctification (1 Corinthians 1:30)." Justification is by faith in Christ (Romans 5:1) who is the object of perfection. The law or the ten commandments are the schoolmaster that leads to Christ. However, believers are not lawless, but have the moral law of God contained in the New Testament commandments of Christ of which there are 21 sets of 7. For example, Jesus did not say, "Remember the sabbath day...," but said rather, "REMEMBER LOT'S WIFE. According to the terms or Commandments of the New Testament, the sabbath was a Jewish ceremonial law that pointed to Christ and has nothing to with the gospel or the gentiles (see Numbers 28:9, 10 and Colossians 2 16:17), etc.
CONCLUSION: Living under the New Testament is trusting in the merits of Christ (his grace and righteousness) to save you. Trying to keep the sabbath day is a way to trick people to keep the law that they can't perfectly keep. It is stepping on the grace of Christ, "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ (Galatians 2:16)."
Old Testament emphasis of the sabbath day unfortunately has swayed a large number of people. SDA is the champion sabbath promoting organization in the world today. The main doctrine of Adventism is without a doubt the Old Testament Jewish practice of the 7th day sabbath. This is understood by the following example of one of the Adventist comments made on Facebook demonstrating the emphasis or obsession with sabbath keeping: "The sabbath of creation is God "indoctrinating" you in order to save your sorry soul from eternal death boy." Since they think it's a moral law, sabbath keeping is something that they must do to be saved. The New Testament reveals that it is an OBSOLETE Jewish ceremonial law that pointed to Christ and has nothing to do with the gospel or the gentiles.
Ellen White created an imaginary fear in the minds of her followers about Sunday keeping that stemmed from her book, THE GREAT CONTROVERSY, when there's no such thing as Sunday keeping in the NEW TESTAMENT. She invented the heresy that keeping the sabbath day is a test of loyalty even though there is no obligation to keep any day of the week under the terms or Commandments of the New Testament.
Adventists erroneously call Saturday the Lord's Day. The Lord is talking about the resurrection in Revelation chapter one. It was on that Lordly day (Revelation 1:10), the first day of the week, that he conquered death and took the keys of death and hell. God's Sabbath and Israel's Sabbath are different.
In Genesis Chapter 1 verse 1 - 2 we read, in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and covered with darkness while a mighty wind swept over the waters.
Day 1. Then God created light and he separated light from darkness.
Day 2. God created a dome that separated the waters below and above.
Day 3. God made the dry land appeared. He called the dry land earth and the water the sea. He created the vegetation.
Day 4. He created light to separate day and night. He created fixed times, seasons, days and years. He made two great lights to rule the day and the night (sun and moon?).
Day 5. Then God created sea creatures, birds
Day 6. God created animals, beasts and man.
Notice that God's day 1, day 2, day 3 were not depended upon the sunlight or the shadow of the earth that caused our day and night. This is to say, God's day and night are not the same as our day and night which is a 24 hours cycle.
In the 10 commandments, God commanded the nation of Israel to keep the Sabbath rest just as he had rested on the 7th day after the completion of his creation.
Thus, Israel's Sabbath is just a foreshadow of God's Sabbath. It is just a copy.
Now, if we try to keep Israel's Sabbath then it should be from sunset on Friday to sunset on Saturday. However, if we are in Norway, or at the North pole, how will we observe the lengthy Sabbath day during April to August where the sun shines for about half a year?
Also, if we claim to observe Israel's Sabbath, then people all over the world especially the so called Sabbath keepers like the Seventh Day Adventists should keep the Sabbath exactly at the same time the Jews in Israel keep their Sabbath. But this will violate the principle of sunset to sunset in other parts of the world, like Norway. Therefore, it is not possible to keep Israel's Sabbath.
So far we have seen that Israel's Sabbath and God's Sabbath are different. We have also seen that we can't keep Israel's Sabbath too.
But then Christians are the new Israel and Jesus did not come to do away with the law but to fulfill it. So what about the new Sabbath?
Jesus said, come to me, all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest. What does this rest mean? Is it the same thing as Paul talked about entering God's rest in Hebrews 4 : 1 - 11? Paul said Israel did not enter into God's rest when they entered into the land of Canaan. That is why Paul further said God spoke of another day to enter into God's rest. Paul then exhorted the Hebrews to enter into that rest the day they hear God's voice without hardening their heart. From this passage, we see that God's rest, or God's Sabbath is not about 7 day cycle but about finding our salvation in Jesus Christ.
In the gospel, Jesus said that his Father is always working and likewise he was doing the same. This raises a question of how could God work always but still have his rest on the 7th day? The only logical explanation is that God rested from creating new things but he did not rest from sustaining the things he created already.
Thus, every day (24 hours day of our day) is a Sabbath day for God till he the day he creates the new heaven and the new earth.
And since we are to keep the new Sabbath, or God's Sabbath, of which Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath, everyday should be a Sabbath day for us. We have found our rest in Jesus Christ. We don't have to roam restlessly to find rest in Judaism, Islam or Hinduism or Budhism....
I find it interesting how many new testament churches do not use Sunday as a day of rest. They often go out to eat before/after church having people serve them leaving lousy tips and Bible tracts. We are in the world but not OF the world. Could you imagine if Christians, regardless of Sat or Sun Sabbath keepers, went to church and straight home and did not grocery shop, go out to eat, etc....we would see a shift in commerce!

I've noticed that people use this scripture Mark 2:27-28 a lot to prove that since Yeshua rose on a Sunday this means the Sabbath changed to Sunday. The Catholic church clearly states in many instances it is by them alone and not scripture that they changed it from Saturday to Sunday and also changed it in order to not be like the Jews in any way. They hated that the early Christians were a lot like the Jewish community.

Also, why would the church state something that is in direct contrast with the ten commandments? Calling the Sabbath rest Judaizing is one thing, but then it says to do it on Sunday.

God's Sabbath and Israel's Sabbath are different.
In Genesis Chapter 1 verse 1 - 2 we read, in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and covered with darkness while a mighty wind swept over the waters.
Day 1. Then God created light and he separated light from darkness.
Day 2. God created a dome that separated the waters below and above.
Day 3. God made the dry land appeared. He called the dry land earth and the water the sea. He created the vegetation.
Day 4. He created light to separate day and night. He created fixed times, seasons, days and years. He made two great lights to rule the day and the night (sun and moon?).
Day 5. Then God created sea creatures, birds
Day 6. God created animals, beasts and man.
Notice that God's day 1, day 2, day 3 were not depended upon the sunlight or the shadow of the earth that caused our day and night. This is to say, God's day and night are not the same as our day and night which is a 24 hours cycle.
In the 10 commandments, God commanded the nation of Israel to keep the Sabbath rest just as he had rested on the 7th day after the completion of his creation.
Thus, Israel's Sabbath is just a foreshadow of God's Sabbath. It is just a copy.
Now, if we try to keep Israel's Sabbath then it should be from sunset on Friday to sunset on Saturday. However, if we are in Norway, or at the North pole, how will we observe the lengthy Sabbath day during April to August where the sun shines for about half a year?
Also, if we claim to observe Israel's Sabbath, then people all over the world especially the so called Sabbath keepers like the Seventh Day Adventists should keep the Sabbath exactly at the same time the Jews in Israel keep their Sabbath. But this will violate the principle of sunset to sunset in other parts of the world, like Norway. Therefore, it is not possible to keep Israel's Sabbath.

The only logical explanation is that God rested from creating new things but he did not rest from sustaining the things he created already.
Thus, every day (24 hours day of our day) is a Sabbath day for God till he the day he creates the new heaven and the new earth.

According to early church Jewish christain scholars, Jesus rose on Sunday, walked the earth for 40 days, ascended to heaven, then 10 days later Pentecost occurred, which was on a Sunday. There is plenty of historical documentation which supports this timeline, all dating back to the first century.

The ten commandments were given to the Israelites before the book of Genesis was put together by Moses this is probably why it was not fully included. But there are somethings still included about the Sabbath rest such as

Also we can see that altars and sacrifices were established at the beginning because Cain and Abel and Abraham all made sacrifices.
I believe the 10 commandments and the sacrificial offering (pointing to Jesus Christ) were established at the beginning of creation and the Israelites got a "refresher" with Moses because they were not allowed to keep God's traditions while in captivity in Egypt and they forgot what they should be doing. Also a large portion of those who left Egypt with them were Egyptian who had no knowledge of any of this.

Sabbath is the 4th Commandment of God written on stone. It is not a rule, an ordinance or statute associated with any side-laws that God enforced on the Israelites, like for instance "you must not eat swine meat". You can not simply omit one and choose to keep only nine Commandments. God warned that anyone who adds to his Word or omits from his Word intentionally will be either added or omitted likewise!

I always wondered why we had church on Sunday instead of Saturday. In Spanish Saturday is Sabado, which sounds a lot like Sabbath to me. It always bugged me as a child, this explains a lot.

@Lifehopeandtruth With all due respect, Saturday literally translated into Spanish is Dia de Saturnalia, or the DAY of Saturn. It does not translate to sabado, or sabbath! The Gregorian calendar is a Roman Jesuit man made calendar, and they are the ones that named the 7th day on that calendar as the sabado in Spanish. Initially, the Satur-day (the day of Saturn) on that calendar was the first day of the week while Sun-day was the 2nd day of the week. Rome then made a change of their calendar to exalt their Sun-day by making it the 1st day of the week, and renaming the 7th day as Saturns-day. Daniel 7:25. Rome would attempt to change the calendar and the law. Yahweh's calendar instruments are in the FIRMament. I would only add that the influence of Constantine the Great’s mother, St. Helena (Flavia Julia) is not to be underestimated. She lived to a very old age, until 330 AD, with Constantine not dying until 337 AD. Constantine himself did not accept Christianity and truly “convert” until his deathbed, where he agreed to be baptized. Also, and it’s understandable that this video did not want to emphasize it - because most writers and lecturers do not - but there grew up over the first 300 years of Christianity a great deal of antisemitism and resentment toward the Jews and Judaism for the fact that there had not been a wholesale conversion of the Jews to Christianity. Just to clarify, none of the laws were Moses'. They were God's law given through Moses. Nehemiah uses the book of the law of God and the book of the law of Moses interchangeably.

For a Christian though, one is to live from the spirit in all things, every day. This means that every day is supposed to be spent in communion with HaShem. Whether in work or leisure makes not difference, every day is now a sabbath day, because it's not about work or leisure or even regulations, it's about relationship with The Father.
Saturday is still the Sabbath day. It has never been changed to Sunday, and it will never be changed.
Are u sure that it is Saturday? Sabbath means rest not Saturn's day. Study the relevance of New moon in the bible. Paul is preaching on sabbath day doesn't mean it's Saturday. Please study the history of calendar and the bible calendar. They are not the same as you think it is.

Here's a short list of things the SDA "Changed" from the bible:
1. They Changed the Sabbath from being strictly a Jewish day to keep to forcing it on Christians and Gentiles.
2. They Changed eternal punishment to soul sleep and annihilation.

11. They Changed the fact that Lev. 23:1-2 shows that *"EVEN" THE SABBATH DAY* is a Feast, to the Sabbath day ISN'T a feast.
12. They Changed the MORAL obligation and commandment of God to keep the Feasts (all of them) as God had instructed Israel, to "ceremonial law" so they could ignore it (1John 3:4)
13. They changed the tithe that belong to the Levitical Priests, to tithing to the SDA, - nowhere in the scriptures.
14. They changed The Harlot as clearly spelled out as Old Testament Israel to whom the Sabbath was given to keep, and claims it is now the Church of Rome when that is NOWHERE in scripture.
15. The Changed the promises of Christ that the Church he established would never fall away, to their false prophecy that it DID fall away.
16. They Changed the promise of Christ that the gates of hell would not prevail over the Church, to their own fabrication that the gates of hell DID prevail over the Church.
17. They Changed the fact that the Apostle Paul promised "The God of Peace would shortly crush Satan under the Church of Rome's Feet" to their false prophecy that God allowed Satan to crush the Church of Rome under HIS FEET.

Without sitting and writing a book only going to make one comment; the Ten Commandments were not made for just the Jews, they were made for man. In fact at the time they were written there was no Jews or Israel only the Hebrews fleeing their bondage from Egypt. The 4th Commandment is one of those God gave them and being such applies as do all. To break one is to break them all and that is straight out of God's word should you wish to research.

God made the 4th commandment a law which I freely keep out of love and respect. And each day with all the ten commandments in all of us we should be practicing daily. Have you any clue as to how many religious doctrines are out there calling themselves Christians? Yet they sit in the pews and honor him with their lips and turn around and reject him the rest of the week. Isaiah 29:13 and Matthew 15:8-9. Religion is a creation of man's doing and is far from forming a relationship with God, their Father.

Indeed! Colossians 2:14 & Ephesians 2:15 are taking about MAN-MADE decrees ("dogma"), and not the perfect Law of God. To be more specific, they're talking about the man-made decree which forbade the Jews from associating with uncircumcised Gentiles (see Acts 10:28). That's why both passages are surrounded by talk of circumcision. That was the "hostility" between the two groups (Jews & Gentiles) which Yeshua "nailed to the Cross".

The English translators got it very wrong when they chose the word 'ordinances' when the Greek word used should have been translated 'dogmas'.
Paul mentioned in one of his letters that money collection should take place on The Lord’s Day and not The Sabbath.
The question one should ask is : who created and name days of the week? I think what matters is observing the holiday of sabbath not the name of the day because, we don’t have the same time zones and calendars as well.

God said to keep the Sabbath on the Seventh day & not Saturday. In the time of Moses there was no Saturday or Sunday. The modern Saturday , Sunday were started by the pagan Babylonians who enslaved the stiff-necked Israelites. The pagan Babylonians worshipped their god on Saturdays. The Israelite slaves were also allowed to worship on Saturday. That's how the Israelites started the Saturday worship. Saturday came from Saturn day & Satan day. Stop idolizing Saturday. Whatever you do, just make sure you believe in it.” As Paul was trained by the risen Jesus, for three years, before he began his ministry, how do we reconcile this? 6. Both the Jewish Christians and the Gentile Christians saw the resurrection of Christ as the proof, that Christ is "Lord and God" . Thus, it is called "The Lord's Day" .
7. The disciples were commanded to meet Christ and worship Him "upon the first day of the week" called Sunday.
8. Mary, Christ's own Mother meets with the disciples and worship's Christ on Sunday and the next Sunday.
9. The habit of Christians and disciples of Christ worshiping Christ on Sunday in memorial was instituted by Christ's own commandment.

You say worship on the sabbath while quoting scripture that says rest on the sabbath. Why do you change rest to worship?
Plz read Lev 23:1-3, OKJV of the Bible, & find God's TRUTH there, that the 7th Day Sabbath is BOTH for rest & "... holy convocation;....", which means a call to worship.The Sabbath is not just for worship.Also, plz read Isaiah 66:23, OKJV, & note that the whole world will be commanded to go to Jerusalem every Sabbath day, to worship Jesus Christ.God DID NOT rest, ie spend the day doing nothing, on the very first Sabbath ( Gen 2:1-3); He "...rested...FROM ALL HIS WORK WHICH HE HAD MADE.", & simply SWITCHED to a different type of work, ie the spiritual work of making the Sabbath (Gen 2:1-3).Shalom!

Sabbath is to rest/cease work, have a holy convocation and in the prophets it shows no buying or selling. Gathering with other believers while ceasing from commerce and work would be rest Scripturally.

That's actually heresy. We go to church on Sunday because Jesus resurrected on Sunday. That's when the first followers of Jesus met. Read Revelation 21:6-8 Jesus does not say anything about keeping the sabbath.

The Sabbath is a day to stay home and rest. NO WORK AT ALL. Just like how God rested on the seventh day after he finished creation. The Sabbath is deemed holy by God and no nan can change that. Stop worshiping the Sabbath and worship Jesus the Lord if the Sabbath.

History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, - the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, - the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century and ONLY the 27 books, - not only did they not agree but their individual lists of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time.
Therefore, if it wasn't the Catholic/Orthodox church, guided by the Holy Spirit, that compiled the 27 books of the NT in the 4th century, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved these scriptures by laboriously hand copying them over and over throughout the centuries before the invention of the printing press, the “rule of faith” for many, please tell us who did? And if this church no longer exists today, what good is the text which came forth from her if she couldn't sustain herself?

Their adherence to any denomination or group has nothing to do with salvation. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. God has decided what is the contents of his word, the Bible.

The Bible simply calls the days of the week by number (the seventh day, the first day, etc.). It doesn't matter what the day is labeled in modern times; the important thing is that we keep the Sabbath on the seventh day of the week, as God instructs. According to what you are saying is that I as a Gentile Christian have to follow all of the 600+ Jewish laws. Paul in the New Testament said that yoke was too burdensome and wasn’t meant to be. Even in Mark 2:27-28 it’s says

The 7 day creation cycle has never been broken. The Catholics hated it so they switched it to Sunday! We are not interested in 4th century Christianity or 16th century Christianity. Only 1st Century Christianity.

Most of the countries name for our Gregorian Saturday is a word for Sabbath. Additionally, in scripture the word used for "preparation day" is paraskevi. In 2 non-canonical books, the Didache and Martyrdom of Polycarp, the word is for "preparation day" is also paraskevi. When you look up the Greek days of the week, Friday is, to date, called paraskevi. This verifies that Saturday is Sabbath. The names have changed, but the cycle has not. I hope that helps.

I am living under the dispensation of grace ( 3:2 ). God has given a measure of faith ( Rom.12;3 ) to access grace. Without faith, there's no way to access God's grace. My sabbath rest is faith in dispensation of grace ( Heb. 4:3-4, 9-11 ). If you are keeping the sabbath and law, you will judged according to the law.
I like your comment. Anyone who follows the Law will be judged by it into condemnation because nobody will be made righteous by the Law. The law requires perfection and no man is perfect except Jesus who fulfilled it. May the Lord open the eyes of our SDA friends
We are leaving Grace because all are sinners hence condemned to death. This doesn't make void the Laws of God (expression of righteousness). Grace still abides because the laws of God are eternal. The law points us(sinners) to Jesus our redemption. Jesus Christ doesn't call sinners to sin(break His laws) but repent from all sins and begins leaving a righteous life(obedience life in accordance with God's law) by the indwelling of the holy spirit. This is a new life in Christ. True biblical doctrine.
We are all called to obey God and keep all His laws including the 4th commandments; Exodus 20:8-11. This is what we can all do by the power of the holy spirit working in us, a true revival we all need now.

In fact this has been said that six days you work and on the seventh day you take rest and keep this day holy. In whole world we start work from Monday to Saturday and we take rest on Sunday. According to this we have to make the day Sunday a Holy day. In Europe and many more countries take rest on sixth day i.e Saturday and also seventh day Sunday. But in many other countries people start work on Monday to Saturday. In such case Sunday becomes seventh day.

@@kotchstevens2321 Matthew 28:9 does not describe a church service. If you had actually read the Gospels, you would know that the disciples were in hiding and the event was on Sunday _night,_ by which time it was no longer the first day of the week according to the Jewish calendar.
In Revelation 1:10, the reference to the Lord’s day does not refer to a Sunday church service. It at most means after the sabbath was over (e.g. Saturday night). It may also be just another way of saying 'the day of the Lord', which is how the ISV translates it. In any event, it is not described as a day on which believers had some kind of gathering; all it tells us is that John was 'in the spirit' on that day.

I think that the day God made it possible for everyone to be saved ,the Lords day ,is more important than the sabbath.
A gross misrepresentation of the facts. For eg. Genesis does not say that God rested on Saturday. Neither does it say that anyone was commanded by God to keep Saturday holy. Although the days of creation were literal, they were not said to be 24 hour days. The inspired author of the book of Hebrews refers to God's rest as transcending centuries, even millenia. He makes reference to God entering his rest on the seventh day, and israelites failed to enter that rest centuries later. How could they have at that time fail to enter something that happened in a 24hour period centuries before. In fact the writer invites us to enter same rest in our day. Clearly god is still at rest and so we join him in it by faith in his son. The weekly sabbath commanded by God god to Israel could only have been a shadow of the true sabbath, as Colossians clearly says. Dont allow these rebellious men to deceive you.
