You can do that too but the fake meat usually has decent ingredients as long as you don't avoid soy. We have a great walnut chili that I'm sure you'd love though!
Tried both the 5-Ingredient Cauliflower Hash Browns and the Creamy Cabbage Casserole. The caulihash is really nice for a breakfast filler, I tried with frozen caulirice and their grated techniqie, steamed cauli adds smoothness, while raw adds texture! For the cabbage caserole, it is very dairy heavy, so I would rather eat it along with more vegetables inside as a cheesy veggie casserole dish just heavy on cabbage ❤ Thank you for the recipes!
I'm happy to find this. I guess some "vegans" are being hateful here, but I'm excited to find meat free low carb recipes! Thank you for these options :)
Thank you! I'm thinking of trying keto/pescatarian next year, but trying some vegetarian based meals currently to ease myself into it. These are some awesome recipes!
Thanks! Easing yourself into it is a good way to do it. Or do a few days a week vegetarian just to switch it up. I hope you enjoy the recipes you try 😃
A little tip for the maker of the video - add 'keto vegetarian meals' and 'keto vegetarian diet' to you search words, I didn't find this video until I wrote in 'keto vegetarian recipes'. Hope this helps
Vegetarian diets can resort to pasta and carb galore. This challenges me to eat better! Thank you for all of these exciting recipes! Will try this week!
Thank you for these amazing recipes. I thought your photography was beautiful, too. I also appreciate the time-stamped list. I'm on my way to visit your website. Liked and subscribed! I can't wait to give these a try.
Okay people, listen up! 1) All cheese has rennet, if you dont want animal rennet, you're probably going to have to get vegan cheese or make it yourself with vegitable rennet 2) Eggs are considered vegitarian in North America because they aren't developed (store bought eggs aren't even fertilized) 3) This is a vegitarian video, NOT a vegan video, they have a vegan video in their channel 4) No food is "bad" or an "absolutely not" on this diet, its everything in moderation. If you want to have one meal with some onions in it every week or so, that's completely fine, same with heavy cream, ect.
These look like great vegetarian recipes! Although some have way too many carbs! I saw in a comment they're aiming for 10g carbs per serving, which could be fine for some people. Just make sure it fits in with your ~10% carb intake. I know for me, I can only have about 5-6 carbs per meal to stay in ketosis. That's pretty much all taken up by low-carb veggies.
You're probably in the very small minority of people to be honest. 15g net carbs per day is very, very little. Almost everyone will get into ketosis with 30g net carbs or fewer per day, so these recipes fit into that. If you want to find the nutrition information, you can check the website though - all of the nutrition for each recipe is broken down there (and linked in the description of the video).
@@RuledMe Oh, to clarify, I do aim for 30-35 carbs a day. I try not to have more than 6 carbs per 'meal,' since then I'd have to cut back on future meals. (And it would negatively effect my macros). Carbs add up so fast on a vegetarian way of eating, which includes low-carb vegetables!
Omg u have such a good amazing cooking skills I love ur videos n cooking and they all so tasty I tried few dishes it’s amazing and I’m controlling my weight with ur recipes 👍🏼👌🏼😊🙏
People pointing out about the egg not being vegetarian yet completely overlooking the Parmesan cheese which is in no way vegetarian or vegan, its made from rennet fs.
The chili was already quite high-carb in terms of keto (10 net carbs per serving), so adding onion on top of that would have added too many extra carbs for my liking. If you have the room in your macros to do so, feel free. You could also remove other higher-carb ingredients in their place. Beans would not be considered keto - they are far too high in carbs, even if you used a small amount.
The prices of ingredients are going to be different everywhere in the world. You're welcome to figure that out yourself. The serving sizes and macros are all listed - read the description.
Onions aren't THAT bad. 1 medium onion (about 100g) is only around 8g net carbs. That's usually enough for 4-6 servings of food, too. So around 2g added net carbs per serving isn't a huge deal. As long as you're not eating half an onion with every meal, it really isn't something you have to be SUPER strict about. I do agree you have to keep an eye out though, just wanted to put my two cents in since I see a lot of people demonizing onions lately. I've had a lot of comments saying onions aren't keto or onions aren't allowed and I just think that's a bad way to look at things.
There are many good substitutions, but I see your point exactly. ❤ It seems vegetarian is a loose term with egg being considered okay to eat in some vegetarian eating-cultures. For example, ask for a salad that has hard-boiled egg in it, but say you are vegetarian in New England, and they leave out the egg. But say the same in the Midwest, and they either leave it on, or ask first!
Thanks! Yeah as I said in another comment if these were 100% plant-based they'd be vegan. I believe you can be a plant-based eater and still eat dairy. It's similar to when you say you are a meat-based eater but still eat vegetables. There's some overlap that happens but the main components will be plant-based. Hope that helps clarify!
@@erichlf If you want 100% plant based that would be vegan 👍 Believe it or not, most vegetarians are plant-based eaters, they just include some dairy and sometimes even eggs into their diet. It's like thinking meat-based eaters never eat vegetables. There can be overlap.

Rather than use fake meat, I find blending mushrooms, carrots, celery, and walnuts/cashews together does the trick. 😊

You have to be super careful with onion. It’s a “strictly Limit” food

heavy cream in plant based?
The recipes are for vegetarians, who are plant-based eaters. While heavy cream itself isn't plant-based, it is vegetarian.

how is egg vegetarian or plant based..

How are cream cheese, eggs, sour cream, butter, heavy cream, and cheese vegetarian? :-(

How can this be vegan with heavy cream??
