Brother Lawrence. Someone posted the context to this, was that the church was rented by non SDA’s for a community concert! Not that this was an SDA function. Research and context is important. In saying that, we also need to be careful in what we allow in our churches.

didn't Jesus say he came to fulfil the Law not to change it so since the Sabbath was set aside for the Jewish people Gods chosen then how can we not observe the Sabbath from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. Also Jesus observed the Saturday Sabbath and even rested in the grave on the Sabbath and arose on the Sunday ?

I agree with a lot of what your stance is but you need to educate yourself about the specifics. This was not praise and worship at he church. It was a fundraising concert to add that ppl are being paid from coffers skews the context way off track.

Where is the general's conference position regarding speaking in tongues - i haven't seen anything posted. Just as guilty if we don't speak up. Leaders need to be held accountable and removed for being a stumbling block as we share a message of God that our own leaders are not following. One our most iconic songs "turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus " can't be reiterated enough...Jesus will not let his church fall but we need to keep our eyes on Jesus only so that we don't fall and or get discouraged. Jesus please come soon.

They said it was not a sda worship service, thay rented the church to this group to put on a concert .

As someone who was in charge of renting out our church for weddings and other events, our rental committee created guidelines which were followed by those who rented our facility, I let them know that no foolishness would take place on our property. If the renters wanted to do something that was against our policy, I would say, “you can adhere to the document which you signed or go somewhere else. In the six or so years that I was in charge we rented out our facility about 80 times and I can only remember 2-3 times where I had to give them an ultimatum. We did not have drums in our church so that alone helped set the stage so to speak when it comes to music.

Is it a true statement that this event was not part of the worship service? Also, is it true that an organization rented the church for this concert? Please respond 🤷🏽‍♀️

Brother Lawrence, if the SDA church would have used its singers to sing to this bedlam of noise, would that have made this music acceptable to God?,. NO. The SDA church does use their own singers, their own rock bands in many of our churches in the United States and as inspiration says through the writings of EGW, this is one of the signs that we will see shortly before the end of time.

I live in Toronto and i can confirm that there are NO SDA churches east, west, north or south as you claim are involved in this kind of singing and praise! This is absolutely untrue!

Here is the context. A organization RENTED Toronto East SDA church for a non-denominational concert. The purpose for the concert is to buildup the community amongst Christians, so that they can go out and serve the community (outside the church) as a united front. Christians actually making a difference in the world together regardless of denomination lines. I know first hand why the video was taken down. The video was taken down (temporarily) because of the following: 1. The name of the livestream did not detail the name of the organization that rented the facility is simple said Toronto East. 2. Due to the aforementioned reason, it would unjustly expose them to criticism by accusors of the brethren like you (who have NO CONTEXT but relish is spreading unfavorable newws). 3. Give the organization the opportunity to put the video on their own social media acccounts. So, their motive wasn't not how you so slanderously put it. Considering the context and your haste to share inaccurate information, perhaps due to either you or your audience's inability to grapple with or consider nuance, or have a charitable judgment towards your own brethren, to call and enquire before you spread misinformation does reveals things: 1.
