Great video. David has become a great addition to the team. I hope he becomes a permanent fixture at TFL. He has so much knowledge and so many resources which translate to great videos.
Honestly I think Jeep can expand its horizons. Let's see a single cab 7ft bed Wrangler capable of turning into a flat bed. With diesel and gas options and equipped with a PTO like the old days. Make work trucks great again. Let's see it!
I'd love to see that too, but I'm not sure if there's a market for it tbh. Somebody prove me wrong but half ton work trucks have pretty much taken over where I live.
@@abou824 There would be a huge market for it Internationally. Many trucks outside of the US end up with a flatbed type of conversion. Jeep really ruined its name in Australia by offering a crap engine (because of mpg). I think a diesel would be perfect for them. But still very expensive which is a turn off for many.
I have basically sidelined my Rebel since I got my side by side. A Defender Maxx HD8 XT w camo package. Theres just no need to abuse your expensive truck when you have a side by side. They can just about got anywhere. I use it mainly for hunting but also for work, beach, trail riding. TFL- time to test a Side By side equipped with snow traxx
Tractor brands should invest in a cross hybrid between a truck and an UTV. It would be very handy in farms that need to tow a lot of trailer daily, and more rough than a pick-up.
Awesome video once again Andre!!🙂and thank you David... pretty cool video..I jus wish Toyota would start making HD trucks.. Really like to see an HD Tundra or Tacoma!!😎

Off road trucks with off road shocks tuned for off roading almost always have poor payload numbers due to the softness of the shocks and other off road components. Even the biggest baddest off road trucks like the raptor and trx have poor payload and tow numbers compared to most others. If someone is concerned about payload and using it as a work truck just get a regular trim truck and not a top off road trim like the tacoma and tundra trd pro, f150 raptor, trx, Colorado zr2, etc
@@andyham6094 That's true, but the Gladiator Rubicon's payload is 1,160lbs, which isn't stellar, but it's a definitely much more reasonable than the Tacoma TRD's 945.

Why can’t I get one? Nobody has the XT and the dealers that I tried to give 1000 to hold one told me they have to wait for the factory to to allocate one for them.who knows
I farm/ranch 300 acres. This comparison is silliness. Side by side is handy but pickup is a prerequisite. This seems like a sales documentary for Can-Am. Cannot haul anything down the highway. Not quite true! I know people who have put the proper "Clip-On Bumpers" and Daytime running lights and a few other mods to make the Can-Ams Street Legal even in California! It's about three thousand USD to buy to clip-on/clip-off parts that make almost ANY side-by-side street legal. Bumper height and composition, doors, running lights and backup cameras are the only real issue to get a Can Am Street legal in California which is the hardest state for off-road vehicles to get street legal in! V
OK Andre! You and David have proven the ranch-worthiness of the 6x6 Defender. Now are you going to show how much fun it is compared to the Taco? I'd like to see if it is best of both worlds...
For about three thousands dollars you could turn this vehicle CALIFORNIA STREET LEGAL by adding some removable safe-height bumpers, adding safety doors (i.e. those that meet crash standards) and a roof and then putting in proper running lights and blinkers. That Can-Am can go 60 MPH which means it's highway legal with the mods even in super-green California! So even with the Can-Am luxury-options package putting it at $25,000 USD and adding $3000 worth of mods for street legality, you would get a BETTER JEEP GLADIATOR for $35,000 LESS than the price of a Jeep Gladiator or F-150!
