Beau was a great guy. We have met several times and had very enjoyable discussion in The Netherlands. Fantastic that you guys of Cockpit-Fest USA tribute a "in memory of Willy". Thank you for that ... I regularly remember "Willy" when I am working on my pit. RIP Beau, blue skies forever!
I'm pretty sure that it's not the pickle button for air-to-air and instead it's the 2 stage trigger detent . first detent is for lasering. 2nd dentent trigger pull is for weapons release. at least its that way in DCS ... And pickles for air to ground... Also you you literally are playing a dos version flight simulator. In comparison to DCs digital combat simulator it almost gives me a headache even looking at this video due to the money spent on your peripherals and how does it match up with a real software but good Job you can really see the passion you have for flight
Nope, pretty much everything you said is incorrect. The trigger is only used for firing the gun and lasing a target. The pickle button is used for Fox 2's, Fox 3's and bombs. You're probably thinking of the hornet, because it used the trigger for Fox 2's and Fox 3's. DCS is a great flight sim, but the F-16 is still in early access so it doesn't have all the features. These sim builders are sacrificing graphics for an f-16 that fully works and has better flight modelling. The sim they are using is BMS. The DCS F-16 may get to the same level at some point, but it is not there yet.
You need to understand what a clickable pit means. Then need to understand what a procedures simulator means before compare it with a very good graphical simulator. Then we can talk about differences and tastes... Even today you can realize that combinations between VR cockpits and clickable cockpits are really doable... RIP Beau.. Long life Viperpits...!

The cockpit looks great. I'm a fan from F-16 since 20 years. This cockpit was once of the best cockpit from F-16. Good job!
