Top Gun is still the shit! No matter how old it gets. It every aviators them song, even if your flying in a Cessna. This Cockpit Sim is the best there is bar none. It looks like the one we use in the military.
Of all the home cockpits on youtube, this is the what I foresee as the one I would like to have in my home. The main part is the curved screen, that is crucial to the setup.
I'm wondering how the hell does he do it to dogfight, like, he's not using a trackIR or anything, must be a pain to DF when you can't look towards your lift vector
No. It's Falcon 4.0 + BMS mod. Falcon 4.0 was released in the very late 1990's. The "community" immediately took over and for nearly two decades now has been improved upon by regular folks like you and me. It's the most realistic simulator you are likely to ever see. You could spend a month learning how to start the jet from a cold start to getting to the runway.....not an exaggeration..
Nick Klein A month to learn the rampstart is just a little bit exagered... I would have say 27 days ;DD No you're right, maybe a full life is needed to know and exploit all the capacities of those software and fantastic plane the F16 is... The design of the game is sure a little bit limited, but the interest of the simulation is elsewhere and grows with every step developers make... What else ? This real-life pilots training game is totally free. There are various theaters with dynamics campaigns and most of all, a big community of online simmers (ex : falcon-online.org). Even french simmers have their squadrons ( nnffw.fr , ffw05.fr... ) I'm one of them so forgive about my language mistakes ;)
