Good honest Aussie Pub Rock. take me back to the 80's and 90's please !!!
Hahaha- please let me forget 75% of the 80's and 50% of the 90's 😝
Holy hell, this brings me back. "Rush You" was in regular rotation on my college radio station. The first time I heard it was on new music night. The DJ was a friend of mine, and loaned me the CD overnight under the condition that I returned it to him by 6am, since it was one of five copies on campus and the station needed it. I got the fifth copy between classes that afternoon. Shame they never made it big in the States. Side note: my DJ friend was the same guy that introduced me to Poi Dog Pondering and Mother Love Bone, both of which are worth a reaction (Jackass Ginger and Stardog Champion respectively are my favs, though you really can't go wrong with these bands...I suppose I should mention that PDP's Be the One has one of my favorite lines). A rush of 90s bands/songs just flooded my head. lol
Lol
M
Two tracks of note: One Word and Painless.
This band were so versatile. You had an elite guitar player elite drummer same for bass and Suze could sing anything from pop to metal. Baby Animals were unique as their songs were rock'n'roll, heavy rock and metal sometimes all in one song. They even went through a pop era.
I had the biggest crush on Suze when I was a kid
At The End Of The Day - Baby Animals. So very good.
Suzie didn't always play guitar on every song. The lead guitarist is Dave Leslie, a very tasteful player. Both clips you played had the same members.
One of the best rock bands ever straight up
Pub and club rock bands were local, plentiful & really good in Australia especially in the 1980's.
Been listening to BAs all week!
Suzie DeMarchi has one of the all time best rock chick voices in the game . They are still kicking around at festivals but never seemed to reach the heights I thought they would, they should have been world wide mega stars.
Agreed
Shaved and Dangerous is one of my fave albums of all time..criminally underrated! Suze ranks up there with the best female vocalists of all time - Aussie or otherwise
Love Baby Animals 🔥
The guitar is a grubisa its an Australian designed and made guitar by Frank Grubisa
Saw them in brissy a couple of years ago, they are still awesome
The Music Man guitars where presents from Eddie Van Halen too Dave and Eddie...
Dude! Suzi is a sic guitarist....And keep in mind, she married Nuno Bettencourt.........Sunday jam sessions around the family home would have been FIRE!
Their reunion album circa 2017 was called 'This Is Not The End'. Most of it was dedicated to Suze's divorce from Nuno. Apparently he ended it with an email. No surprise the song EMAIL is pretty ruthless. Lots of good tracks on that last album. They also shot a live concert with a mini-documentary in 2017. You can find it on youtube.
holy hell. someone forked out for baby animals requests and it wasn't me. how unusual. Dave Leslie's guitar is an Ernie Ball Music Man EVH Signature that Eddie gifted to him when they opened for Van Halen on an American tour. Can't really get a bigger endorsement than that.
The Stingray Bass Eddie is playing was a gift from EVH too..
Two of my six best songs from Baby Animals.
Dave Leslie is the guitarist...Suze used to play when necessary, but not always with Dave cos he's pretty talented.
Seen them live opening for Van Halen for their first album
That would've been great! I've seen VH live, and that was an amazing show.
Almost forgot about these guys! Love(d) their sound! By all means; dig deeper into their discography, you won't be disappointed!
Their 1st 2 albums are killer!!!
A definite favourite!
You've got to check out "One word" and "At the end of the day". That last song the lyrics are sung in French. An Australian band singing in French. It's pretty epic!
Suze Dimarchi has always been the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.
I agree 100% I stood next to her in a bar in 1991 she was beautiful
Only chance I got to see them was in Orange, around 1994 & they were involved in a car accident on the way & couldn't get there & cancelled the show, never to return ☹
Eddie Eddie Eddie! Eddie Eddie Eddie! ahhh a local band makes good 30 years on lol I'm soo annoyed I never got to see them Live (I didn't do concerts in the 90's My bad/loss)
They're still playing and as good as ever - I've seen them twice in the past 12 months
@@GraemeWeatherill wow coool
@@GraemeWeatherill I saw them Jan 2020 and they were great!
Baby Animals were pretty popular in Australia when I was younger, there are heaps of Australian bands that you might enjoy. Here is one of the best Australian bands in my opinion (not sure if you know of them) - The Angels - Mr Damage at: ruclips.net/video/RiOQzWTz3cM/видео.html
Very cool band. You need to check out One too many and Lovin' lies and definitely One word. They are great live. Seen them many times.
Suze, is the ex= Mrs Nunno Bettencourt.....The band were really going places, a long time ago.
Wasn't the song Suze about her from Porngrafiti album?
👍
Fun fact....Suzie married Nuno Bettencourt. ,,🤘🇭🇲
Exact same band, same members!! Guitarists is the one and only Dave Leslie,,
12 minutes and. Ot one word about the Awesome lead singer???
She was finger picking
The second song was off their first album, the first song off their second. They would have been global I reckon but broke up after the second album when Suzie DeMarco was diagnosed with nodes on her vocal chords and told to stop singing. They reformed years later and released a third album but their boat had sailed. Still, three kickarse albums is better than none.
The whole baby animals thing hit the wall when Suzie started fu*king Nuno Bettencourt. Baby animals was no more
