Nobody does 80's rock like us Aussies. Most recorded live no overdubs. Need some more chisel, midnight oil, the angels, Divinyls, choirboys, spy v spy....we gave the world ACDC but we kept the best ones for ourselves
Bush's ''Comedown'' was written about Baby Animals' singer Suze DeMarchi. Her and Gavin Rossdale were in a relationship in the 80's when she lived in the UK.
Their debut self titled album is fantastic from start to finish. Don’t miss the chance to listen to the whole thing. Still in heavy rotation in my car to this day.
Dave Leslie on guitar is just so goddamn tasty. The biggest problem is that Suze on vocals draws the camera all the time so you can never really see what he's doing. Not that I have any issues at all with her stage presence of course. These guys opened a huge tour for Van Halen in the states (the For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge) tour, EVH ended up gifting Dave a signature music man Suze actually ended up marrying Nuno Bettencourt, which was more or less the end of the band for 20 years, so they only released the two albums in this era, but hot damn they have been ony playlist for 30 years
I hate to be this way, but looking at that girl. I would have never thought that sound would come from her. She can sing and she can play. All while looking like a Cover Girl.
Dave Leslie is the guitarist. He's so good. If you like this you'll love One Word. They've got so many great songs. You need to delve into them further. Enjoy, 👍 Also Powderfinger is another great Aussie rock band. Great guitar riffs too.
Pretty sure back in the day I saw Baby Animals at a club gig in the U.K in support of their debut album , however it could have been Animal Babies I saw as had consumed way too much Newcastle Brown !!! Great Aussie band and the album still holds up well , also saw Rose Tattoo as both a support band and as headliners in Newcastle Upon Tyne England .
Driving wheels - cold chisel Run to paradise - choir boys Nice guitars in there for you to enjoy 😁🎻 also Tesky Brothers are worth checking out 🐨 love your reactions to aussie tunes, keep them coming 😎👍🏻 Not Australian and theres prob a massive chance u know Muse well but if not then 100% need to hear plug in baby by them!!! Amazing musician on the guitar and piano :)
Funny story but Suzi is very good mates with my mum's brother's wife. When my Aunty had a baby shower for her & my uncle's first born, my mum & Aunty's obvs went. My mum is alot older than the rest of her siblings but mum was sitting next to & chatted the whole time to this "really nice girl". It wasn't until the car ride on the way home that my mum's youngest sister said to her, u do realise who that girl was u were sitting next to. My mum no, i haven't seen or met her before & my Aunty said, that's Suzi from the Baby Animals, my mum's reply was who??? 😂
Suzie never did ring me....Backbone and One Word are just a couple of great songs in their repertoire. We got to see Baby Animals, INXS, Deisel and a few others for free while they got their act together. Indian Ocean in the background in the film, not far from where I'm writing, it's yet another day in paradise.
Hoodoo Gurus song, What's My Scene? It has one of my favourite guitar endings with just a great guitar resounding the outro of the song with no expected drum finish. Great guitar during the piece and a pacey great song all round.
kid, you're just gettin into it, there's so many bands, you just don't know. you've missed out on all the real rock music, but it's still there for you to discover. dig in and hang on, you're in for a magic carpet ride. you want suggestions? i have a thousand, let's get it on.
If you like the old stuff, try some British metal. Deep Purple and Cream. The Brits also were responsible for Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. Have a listen to Aus band Divinyls with Boys in town
I was curious about the ACDC song's that you've heard were they with Bryan Johnson and if you've heard them with the original singer Bon Scott who passed away.
The Baby Animals are an awesome band and I love Suzi De Aarchi. As an old guitarist I feel like an old "fuddy duddy" as I continually go on about the old music and never listen to new music. I cannot comprehend the lack of real instrumentation these days. If you want a real kick arse song and a good laugh as well check this. ruclips.net/video/6M4_Ommfvv0/видео.html
As a guitar player you’ll appreciate AC/DCs Malcolm & Angus both say “RIFF RAFF” is by far the most complicated guitar song they have Malcolm plays lead as well so 2 brilliant players doing individual Riffs for 4min at a hectic pace they didn’t play it live after Bon Died because playing Dirty Deeds for 21minutes beats 4minutes that gives them hand cramps lol

i was there at that time too ....missed the tatts and baby animals .....but i saw "things of stone and wood " LOL ....you lucky bugga ...how were the tatts ? (PS : though i did hear babyanimals live at Wembley on tommy vance friday rock show)

Totally agree with you Pete..We Aussies made the best rock in the 80s.The rest of the world missed out.
Man Airborne has been cracking it also.... they rip hard
@@johnavendano9866 agree, they are the best Aussie offering out there currently...
My favourite Baby Animals song is "Rush You". "One word" is good too. They are great to see live. Great reaction, thanks.
More great Baby Animals songs - Ain't Gonna Get, Rush You, quite a few more.
They were (still are) an awesome band live.
The big surprise comes as song moves away:from beginning. Chorus slammin!!

We had great pub bands in the 80' and 90's in Oz. It was an awesome time

Eddie Parise got a Music Man Stingray bass from Eddie as well, doing a resto job on it now.. 12 fret inlay will read
"RIP EVH" as a tribute..

You'd probably like Rose Tattoo. Try Rock and Roll Outlaw.

The Drumming in the last 10 seconds of this song is always cut off by Radio.
I hope we hear it on this video.
This is a REAL Rock Band.
Id love you to try Joker and the thief by Aussie band wolfmother. Nobody has done any reactions to this great Aussie rock band
Great track, but they're are definitely wolfmother reactions out there
@@kane29842 Yeah, the best reaction being mike patton’s.

Suzie DeMarchi was married to Nuno Bettencourt the guitarist from the band Extreme and they have 2 children
You probably didn't know that Baby Animals toured with Van Halen in the US...

Bit of trivia - Suzi was married to Nuno Bettencourt
They have plenty of good ones. Backbone
At The End Of The Day
Ain’t Gonna Get
God teenaged me loved Suze DeMarchi so hard
I was curious about the ACDC song's that you've heard were they with Bryan Johnson and if you've heard them with the original singer Bon Scott who passed away.
Any song from the Bon Scott days with do just fine

Suzi DiMarchi is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.
