I managed to get hold of an old drop-leaf table that folded out to about 6'x4' and sat a couple of 6'x4' chipboard boards on it then used some old carpet tiles salvaged from a skip at work for my gaming board (they were re-tiling an office and didn't want the old tiles - MINE). The tiles were also pretty good for making flat top (mini-friendly) hills and stuff. Best was it cost zog-all :-)
Old trick Dad showed me. If you don't have a drill and/or bits to predrill your nail holes, take a hammer and blunt the tips of your nails before using them. I have never had the wood split on me when using that tip.
You should be able to pick em up most places, amazon will have what you need, just search for quick grips or rachet bar clamps. You'll get a few for a tenner 😊👍
Looks great! Sad that your hands were messed with black paint when it should have been green. I know ive been thinking about Game Toppers but with tools this might be cheaper. Thanks!
