@@GeekGamingScenics basic walkthrough of making a multi-use board for the less experienced gamer - what could be more appropriate for a terrain-making channel than that? Also, what's wrong with making content for the sake of it? There's no pleasing some people.
Made this comment during a moment of peace at work so it was pretty rushed and I guess I mucked it up a bit. My comment was meant in a humorous manner and I feel I didn’t manage to get that intent across. Apologies. I love your content and it’s one of the best experiences in this hobby when you get to work on a project with a mate
Great looking board. Thanks for including a link to Corvus Games Terrain in the description too. Being a one-man studio, all traffic to the site really helps.
"You've got the touch of Bebop and Rocksteady!" Luke this truly made me laugh out loud in a room all by myself and then had me giggling to myself for a good hour afterwards tonight. Brilliant mate!
Always love it when you and pickle have a laugh together in a video and this is a very wholesome video. Nothing better than doing some hobbying and helping a mate out.
Fantastic video and phenomenal board as well. It's great seeing all those little tricks that you might not necessarily know about as a beginner which really sell a board's realism. Also the banter between you and Pickle really makes the video a lot of fun
I think this is brilliant cause it also teaches an appreciation for the building process for something like this. So many people ive heard say things like 'ahh its not that impressive i could build something like that' Trying to deny the obvious skill involved
i was hoping you would do a teaching video on something like this. you always come up with great video ideas. love seeing both edits or perspectives on the board build. another great board built. thanks for sharing this with us.
That were mint! What great timing….I’m about to make a 2x2 gaming board and was wondering just where to start…..and then you release this vid! Loved it….even the ‘your a muppet’ bits!
Bloody lovely! Look at you two, a sodding game board making super-team :D Luke's terrain building experience, Josh's painting skills. Awesome work guys, looks great :) Anyroad, I'm gonna pop over to Pickle Jar and watch the other one now. Take care
It was an interesting change having you teach somebody there in person rather than the standard way a tutorial video would go. We get to see how Josh interpret instructions and then gives a chance for correction which really helps first time builders with being guided away from some mistakes and time sinks Fun video as always, you're both daft buggers and your lighthearted banter was just the pick me up I needed tonight
Good to see behind the scenes of a board build like this - makes the whole process seem a bit less scary. I've done small terrain bits before, but this has made the idea of doing a full board less daunting!
Would love to make my own and videos like this where I can see where to get the most value out of things I’d need are great. One of the main reasons I love the channel is that you show that not everything has to be high end/high value for a great end product!
That's a cool looking board. Have you thought about making some content for "indoor" tables. IE something that could be interior of a Space Hulk for example? Or some underground bunker complex? Most boards seem to be above ground/open terrain. Not so much cramped indoor (with some Necromunda stuff being the exception)
Love your videos, I’m a railway modeller but take loads from your techniques and ‘try’ and transfer the skills across. It’s not lost on me the skill in painting and airbrushing those tiny miniatures. 💪🏻👍
I follow corvus 3d modeler! They always make really cool modern buildings! I think they currently have a modular scifi Kickstarter going at the moment!
I love the GGS storefront and the huge ruined! donut! You both did a great job, especially for his first terrain board! Great job! I would love to work with Luke one day.
Great video which has inspired me to make another board. I made a modular board previously. The only thing is in a game like Crisis Protocol the terrain can be used as a weapon. Gluing it down seems wrong.
very nice, maybe have the grass less green colored more like dead grass and the water areas some looked fake, maybe spreading them more over the edges will make them look more natural, other than that its pretty awesome
I guess you get too much rain in the UK to have flat roofs, or... ?? We put gravel on our roofs in the USA as a layer of protection for the stuff under it. Like putting bark chips and mulch in your garden beds.
Damn I Love Your builds, There always SO INSPIRING! Your such a FUN teacher Luke! You could help many many people.. Hell I'm Sure you do!! Where would one Sell there RPG Builds? I built one, its 2'x2' for someone and they never came to get it! So what Would be the best place Start Selling my builds?? I need a you tube channel too, and NO NOTHING about this kinda stuff. Im disabled and want more in my World of Crafts! WOOPW WOOP!! THANKS LUKE YOU DO GOOD FOR ALL OF US!! BE SAFE!
Just started with some tabletop creations myself, need to learn all the tips and tricks :) Can you make a video focusing on water in general? Good ways to make texture, paint, resin etc. Both in bigger and smaller scale. Thanks!
4:00 I don't get your critique. That's a perfect sinkhole, maybe with a bit of liquid on the ground and planks on top. Or a crater. That's simply food for imagination.
Is this the example you need something to make content so im going to use it to make content

Went from looking like an angry dad trying to teach their kid how to change the oil and was handed the wrong wrench to the proudest dad ever
Poor pickle. Bullied at work. Bullied at home.
Lovely board and had some good laughs through it all haha. Great stuff you guys
"You've got the touch of Bebop and Rocksteady!"

haha I have to say you teaching Josh how to build a board made me laugh, turned out great more content like this please ^_^
@@GeekGamingScenics it looked like a blast mate, building a board with your mate and having a few laughs exactly what this hobby is about,

Luke is a harsh taskmaster, but it was worth it. :-) Cracking work from both of you. Cheers!

Need a warehouse goblin mate?
Looks like Godzilla came by and was looking for somwhere to scratch his back! Nah...thats a great newbie build to get Josh inspired.

Awsome board ! i was scared at the beginning it would be too "grey" but it turned out perfect !
Well done guys

Great video - I hadn’t thought of using the underlay foam, but it came up really nicely!
lol Beebop & Rocksteady... Moves like Jagger. more Like Moves like Jack the Ripper.. Nice board good work
The passive aggression from Luke in this was quality, "you were Bebop and Rocksteady'ing it earlier now you're tickling it" lmao

I love the subtle american detail that the town repainted the road lines on top of the rubble.
Poor Pickle 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Loving the banter between you too. Board looks great too.
0:08 bro thats so good it only nothing
You can practically hear the tight Yorkshireman in Luke bursting out about having to use this own materials 😂
Awesome board for a beginner or not! I love it. I wish I had room for a 6’x4’!
Please become the Gordon Ramsey of the tabletop terrain world.
Brilliant entertainment for a Bank holiday, like true British comedy. Cheers guys
Bebop & Rocksteady 🤣 He was more like Shredder when he was doing the damage on the roads 😝
Dry brush palette made out of a cardboard box proper Yorkshire man love it

Board looks absolutely awesome!! Great Video guys
"In all fairness, PVA glue could have been used, but I'm getting a kick out of humiliating Josh, so bugger that!"
Came looking for Titan Vacuum action. Was not disappointed!
Oh … but for Marvel: Crisis Protocol the lamp posts need to be removable :o
Really enjoyed this. Could do with more beginner walk throughs - including getting the frame together, how to store etc.
The stuff you see on top of American roofing is a mix of asphalt and rocks. This helps to make the roof waterproof.
Board looks fantastic love the roads and base ready detail 👍
Fucking love you boys. The cameo on MS Paints vid blasting the sealing of his poly had me spitting out the coffee.
I love the GGS storefront and the huge ruined! donut! You both did a great job, especially for his first terrain board! Great job!

Fabulous work on that table boys. I need to do some city tiles my self, be copying the techniques I think
Angry Kes P.E. Teacher Luke is my favourite Luke.
6 minutes in and I'm pissing myself about the Beebop and Rocksteady reference! Good work!
Sidewalks. Definitely called sidewalks. A path is a dirt trail through a park. 😜

Magnets!

So many classic movie puns, even land before time... mintox

Sidewalks are a kind of path, but not all paths are sidewalks; we have forests here. lol
Great vid! Luke your teaching style is fantastic.
I think that came out great. I really need to try and make my first board
Always enjoy watching you work but this was just hilarious 🤣

Felt like it needed more beers :P
TMNT references FTW! 💪😂
lmao we do call them sidewalks and paths are for roads in the woods LOL
Cool video! My favourite part is the drybrushing.
Epic! Hey, if Pickle is Rocksteady / Bebop, is Luke Shredder? "Ya gotta chuck yer muck about" 😎🤘

"'Sidewalks', as you Americans call it. It's a path."
OK. Thanks for translating that for me.
And I loved the TMNT referrence, too.
Thanks.
I think you two make a far better duo than Ant and Dec. Much more entertaining 👍🏻
Bebop and Rocksteady…. Cowabunga dudes!
I'm watching this wondering how the hell you're gonna seal all that sand, grout, and gravel down!
Looks like you had a good laugh making it

Henceforth all stones used to texture foam shalt be known as DARYLSTONE!
Texture the base with that large rock maybe was easier to do before gluing the scenics xD
You should have done something to the street lights. They don´t look like they fit in being all shiny black.
A sidewalk is infact a type of path in the us. Its just a specific type of path.
You missed out on the “Luke paints a Titan” video for April fools!
