@@SugarSpunRunhen I made these cookies after cooled off I ate one before the party and they're very addicting. Very chocolatey the way they should be. I didn't hardly have any left like I said huge hit🎉
When I make cookies, I always use gloves. It makes it so much more pleasant to work with messy cookie dough. Also, I always do a test cookie or two, usually two, to see if they spread and whatnot. I bake all low-carb versions of amazing things I find, and I've found massive inspiration from your channel. BTW, I'm commenting again because I'm watching this again. I love your vids.
Hello, how do you make your recipes low carb. versions? And what would you do to this recipe? Please and thank you very much for your support, time and help. 🎉 😊😊
@@sandraolsen6596 Hi. Thanks for asking. Yeah, I'm always testing low-carb versions of regular recipes that are NOT low-carb, and cookies and cakes are among the ones I've made that EVERYONE loves. One thing I first do is basically swap out the regular flour for almond flour on an almost one-to-one ratio, then I swap the sugar for an alternative sweetener (my favorite is Splenda, which I use usually about a cup more of Splenda than the reg sugar amt in the original recipe, but it's really to taste). A thing to remember is that when you taste the brownie mix or the cookie dough, it should be a high tad sweeter than you want the final baked result b/c when it's baked, a lot of the sweetness bakes out. It's like making pasta; you season the water with salt making salty like the sea and the pasta will be perfect when cooked (it won't be salty). The rest can be done as the recipe calls for except that since it's a low-carb version, until you make it once and see how your oven bakes or gets hot, it's best to bake one cookie as a test run. Once you get the hang of it, making low-carb versions of anything is easy. Now, every time I see a regular version, my mind is already converting it to low-carb. I hope this helps.
Also, as far as this recipe as a low-carb version, I haven't read the recipe yet to convert it. I've only seen the vid, but you can try the steps in my first comment. Also, using dutch processed cocoa makes things much fudgier than regular coca powder. Just remember to use whatever cocoa powder the original recipe calls for because it's already been written to include the necessary amount of baking powder, baking soda or both. @@sandraolsen6596

Thankyou!!! I cringe whenever I see a video where the eggs are cracked directly into the mix! Who can forget the Wedding Episode of Top Chef Season 1, and the egg shell in the wedding cake!!!
It certainly is risky to crack an egg straight into the batter! You should watch my husband bake. It's a mess. He tries to make as few dishes as possible so tries to save anywhere he can. It's truly terrifying. 🤣
Just because you sift your cocoa powder, flour & baking powder, does that mean I have to sift it? Most of the time, you use a whisk to break up the clumps. ChatGPT told me that I can feel free to experiment recipes my way & that I have the freedom to deviate from recommendations & tips or certain instructions if I want to & that as long as something tastes good, that is the most important thing. What are your thoughts?
As shown is what I recommend. If you want to whisk in a separate bowl that should be just fine, doing it this way just saves me a dish. I can't guarantee results when the recipe isn't followed as written, but I think you'll be fine there. Baking can be specific, sure the most important thing is that your end result tastes good, but recipes are written a specific way to make sure you get to that tasty end result (and ChatGPT's track record isn't the best, check out my recent video on AI).
@@SugarSpunRun I found out the hard way when I failed to sift my cocoa powder while making a batch of cookies. It only takes a minute but it's worth that minute!😀
