Good video Model T!! Doing any repair in 99 degree weather outside is not fun, but you only lost one washer during the entire process!!! Keep having fun with Rodie!!
Another great job, T! I don't think Roadie will mind a temporary replacement part! A locksmith should easily be able to to get that original one fixed for you.
I watched Splendor in the Grass 1961 the other day and thought for sure Warren Beatty was cruising around in your tan 29 roadster. Loved the deck lid handle video. 99 degrees wow! nice and warm
Reinstalled the back of the seat in my 1930 roadster rumble last weekend. Someone in its past had used an over sized sheetmetal screw to fasten the bottom of the seat back on one side and the seat back fell off when the rumble was opened. Reinstallation turned out to be a real pain. Had to rethread the two bottom fasteners to 1/4 -20. Bolts are in a tight place any you can't see the bolt holes after seat back is hung. Access is awful as well. Glad you didn't have to totally remove your seat back to replace the lock. I have one key for my rumble.
Wow, what a pain! Yes, I didn’t bother showing my struggles of trying to get the seat back off, I started sweating so bad 😂 Hopefully you can get a copy of that key, especially if the handle is original. I hope that I can get my original keyed and it works so I can put it back. Take care!
I just installed one yesterday on my ‘30 A Deluxe Coupe. And yes, I put a new one on. But, security outweighed my choice. My lock was far to gone to repair. Small things I’m getting done before I get the Radiator back from the Shop. Thanks, Miss Tina.
@@Modeltshinn Rember That We are all teachers and We are all students at the same Time So thank you for teaching me how replace a trunk lock on a model A
Thanks Tina for a great video. I really do like the Model As but at 107 degrees, I just can't do without the A/C. My health won't allow it. Had to quit riding motorcycles too & that was a terrible blow. Roadie looks great too. No doubt a fun ride. I do notice that when folks drive by with the older cars, people stop & look. All of them are eye appealing, at least to me they are. Have a great summer you guys.
Good job; so cool to see the car getting improved step by step. Looking forward to the front windshield frame rubber seal swap; that one looks a little worse for wear. Really like the color combo on this car; wonder if it’s the original color.
Hi! Thank you so much 💗 it’s not the original color unfortunately but so many people love it, it’s kind of growing on me, I call it caramel macchiato lol Have a wonderful week! 💕
Yeah missus, you have to be real careful you don't drop small things. If you look around you can maybe find a small magnet to put inside your sockets. Cheers Tina and God bless you and Paul.
Nice job! I have to do the same lock install on my 30 coupe. Paul, time to coach model T on the names of the wrenches! (Socket wrench vs crescent wrench, for ex.)example.. otherwise, bravo!
Good job Model T! It might be that the original latch had a longer shaft on it too, which might have been cut to size also. Paul would probably know the answer to that question, anyways, enjoyed watching. I hope your having a good week and the rest is great, take care!
I love my door handles though, hopefully I can get the trunk handle working again so I can put it back on, the old ones look so awesome 💗 have a nice week!
Slowly but surely Roadie will be all new again. Make sure that Dylan isn’t napping in the rumble seat compartment. I’ve heard some horror stories of beloved pets getting stuck there and not all made it.
Thank you 💗 Oh that would be so horrific! I have what I call cookie time in the evening for my kittens, I sing a cookie time song to them in the evening, they come running and I give them cookies then they stay inside for the night…I’ve been doing this since they were babies 💕
Did you try the new key for your new handle just to see if it works for the old handle- you never know. An open faced wrench works as well and you would not have had to loosen the seat to reach the nut. You also might want to loosen the nut you put on to see if the handle turns more easily. Just saying try. These suggestion may or may not work.
You’re awesome, thank you! Yes I actually tried my roadster ignition key and the new lock key, nope! That’s a great tool, I wish I’d thought of it at the time!! Take care! 💕

What I appreciated most was seeing how easy it was for you to roll Roadie out of its garage!
It is really nice! Thanks 💕
Loved that too….found it sort of funny; she did it while talking to us…😉
Hi Tina, it’s great to see you working on Roadie!
Hey thanks! Lots to do that’s for sure! I miss hearing you playing your guitar and singing, so refreshing!

see if a lock smith can take out the tumbler from the new hndle and place it in the old handle.
