Hi Tina, I hope you are doing well after Thanksgiving. Love to you both. Hal
Good morning Tina and Paul, good to see ya both are doing good. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope you both have a fabulous weekend!
Well stated - came here to write the same. ~ Chuck
Model A owners need to adhere to Preventative Maintenance measures to "keep those Model A's driving for generations to come." These are not just words at the end of the video for nothing. Replacing ignition electrical wiring in this case will help save you from breaking down on the side of the road or a possible fire.
Any way you and Paul can have Larry put together his special...get it running again "thing a ma jigg" onto video? Thanks!!
Hi Tina, Love yours', and Pauls' Video's I don't own a model A, but love them. I was wondering if a lot of the wood could be replaced with TREX ? Especially in the floor area.
@@qrpcrzythank you 💗 Well, we suppose if it would hold threads…possibly? Never had anyone try that we know of.
Nice and fun tripp in a very Nice Ford.😎👍
Hey Tina and Paul. You are not going to like this but I have may car wire so the key is turning "ON" the -(neg) side of coil instead of the key wired to turn "on" "off" the wire to the distributor. I did because i have some added stuff that would not work wired the way Henry did it. This car may be the same. Sorry. Are we still friends See ya down a country road. Steve
@@leahbarnacle6956 lol, still friends absolutely 💗 Have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving 🦃♥️🙏
I love you two. You are caring and willing to go the extra mile for anyone.. be a new or experienced owner. I've only had my late uncle's Model A since Veteran's Day and your mail group have been invaluable and your videos have been instrumental in my getting my A back into driving condition. Thank you.

In case you missed it. Check out Henry's 1941 Hemp car. It'll blow you away 💭✌🏻👈
I heard that Henry told folks that they could have their car in any color they liked as long as it was black.😊

@@mattomon1045 lol, we’ve had so much going on that it’s still sitting there waiting for it’s turn. We have to finish Roadie then get Paul’s truck going which I’m not sure how long it takes to put that together and working, so probably after that we will start getting that Model A going 😁
@@Modeltshinn yes Model T i do know what the problem is, 3000 projects and 30 min to do all of them in!

@@truthreigns7 hi! We’ll put your question in one of our Q&As, have a nice weekend 💕
@Modeltshinn thank you
I've soldered them in. The repro solder is thin and the original is old/fatigued.
@@brianmatthews9697 what about the rivet?
IN the picture shown, is the metal piece under the distributor, some type of heat shield?
@@truthreigns7 the person didn’t say, so we have no idea, not something that’s normally in the motor area of an A.

@@goatranchgaming2922 I showed Paul this also, neither one of us have unsubscribed you, we don’t have a clue what you are talking about.
Totally agree, go back to the stock wiring. There is nothing like trying to help troubleshoot someone else's car during a roadside seminar when they have "custom" wiring. If you don't have a stock wired car, you should have a wiring diagram in your tool kit!
Good advice, in my humble opinion. Listen to the man, Paul knows what he's talking about. Thanks, hope you two have a great weekend!

While I do take the road less traveled, I don't recommend that people follow me! As a recovering hot rodder, my mantra was better, quicker, stronger, faster... Sounds like the Six Million Dollar Man! But seriously, OEM is hard to beat. As my dad once said, "Son, do you know more than the engineers that designed xxxx?" My answer, "Ah, no dad..." Have a great weekend! The weather here is gorgeous!

Finally dug out the judging standards and found it on page 14-5 2011 revision. 28 tudor after 7-28. niagara blue dark upper and lower body. niagara blue light upper body back and belt. duchess blue reveals. This may seem over the top a little but next month I will be refinishing a 29 tudor in one of the blue combos. Sometimes customers get a little frisky if they don't think their car is done correctly. The standards have saved my hide a time or two.
Thanks for the video Tina. God bless you both.

Great INFO guys 😊 Definitely gonna do the Plaque deal 👍 😊
@@michaelrepetto669 🥳🇺🇸
If I'm hearing this right, 3 tone Model A's. I would right off the bat consider 29 cp. and tudor. Andalusite Blue, Black belt, niagra blue reveals. But then not everyone considers black a color.
Since all Model A's had black fenders, all Model A's had three colors of paint on them, two on the body hood and cowl (except for all-black cars.)
Good to see you both. I hope you get lots of interest with the plaque, good luck. Have a wonderful day!
@@Dan-qy1rg thank you, have a wonderful week!

Were there more than one wheel color available for 1929? I have heard that only black was available until 1930 and then the colored wheels were an option. Is that true?
@@camino6431 in 1929 the standard factory wheel color was black, but you could ask a dealer for another color, maybe for a small fee and you could get it, I guess it was more popular for females then in the 30’s they started realizing that people really liked colored wheels and made them that way. Have a nice day!
@Modeltshinn thanks. I just saw something on the model A RUclips channel
Color wheels didn't appear on factory produced Model A's until the De Luxe cars were built in 1930. BUT, I have a factory invoice from 1929 where the buyer of a new 1929 Roadster had the wheels painted straw. The cost? $15.
@@ModelARickLasCruces thanks. I had heard that they were an expensive option at first but they got cheaper after a while. I'm just curious because my 29 Tudor has the cream colored wheels.

This is great it can't stressed enough that the youth is our future. My grandson is 15. We went to the SCTA races at El Mirage last weekend.
